Margo can be a bit difficult to get a read on at first glance. While she might be very quiet at first don't mistake that for indifference. She is constantly listening to those around her and trying to figure people out. She is very wary of strangers and has no idea how to socialize correctly around kids her own age and has been called an old soul but nearly every adult in her life. She can appear over serous at first but once a certain level of friendship is achieved she starts to loosen up. Once she reaches that level she can become a bit clingy and expects the same in return and can get upset when it isn't. She has a deep fear of abandonment which makes it hard for her to make connections or ever let them go. Margo has a very active imagination from reading countless books and escaping into fantasy worlds. She has a desire to go on the kinds of adventures she reads about but is far to timid to attempt anything like that alone. She also enjoys gardening and being outside when the weather is nice, and likes the feeling of accomplishment that comes with making things grow.

Margo was born in Auckland to a small but loving family. Her father Samuel had lost his own parents rather young and had no extended family to speak off. Her mother, Faye on the other hand, had a small but tight knit family of her own. They met on their first day of Auror training and were inseparable after that. They got married rather quickly and started their family right away with her brother Avery. It wouldn't be until ten years later that Margo would arrive and complete their family.
Her parents were rather successful as Aurors and rose through the ranks quickly and provided a comfortable lifestyle. Avery was homeschooled by tutors instead of going to Hogwarts which allowed them to spend more time together. But tragedy struck when Margo was only six years old when her parents were tragically killed while on duty. After that Avery and Margo were sent to live with their grandmother in a small remote town. Her brother took the loss especially hard and never seemed to settle in to their quieter life and after a few months he ran way. She was deviated by his abandonment and as a result clung to her grandmother and aunt and became quite shy and withdrawn.
It wasn't until Margo started accompanying her grandmother to the small diner where she worked part time. that she began to open up again. She spent most of her free time there talking to the elderly regulars who were more than happy to keep her company. Over the years she got quite comfortable talking to adults but still remained rather shy around kids her own age. She still receives the occasional letter from her brother, usually around her birthday or Christmas. At first she looked forward to them, hoping one of them would be announcing that he would be coming home. She's become less enthusiastic about them now but still appreciates them since it at least proves he's alive and doing alright. Margo is also quite close to her Aunt Willow who visits as much as she can since she travels for work all the time, but usually brings back books or other gifts for her.
