Cameron was not spying. It was his job to take pictures at the school events and that's all he was doing. If that meant he had to occasionally use his camera's viewfinder to look at Aine, so be it. He'd nearly finished taking photos of the side of the hall Aine just so happened to be on when he spotted Valerius joining her, wrinkling his nose in distaste at the sight of the Ravenclaw and quickly jerking his camera away. He nearly flinched when Margo and Isadora appeared in his view finder, having almost forgotten he was hanging out with them for the dance and hurriedly lowering his camera.

"You're ruining my shot," he told the girls flatly, making a show of pushing his camera lens into their faces, eager for a distraction from the mental image of seeing Aine and Valerius hanging out. It made sense, that they would be friends. They both sucked.

Margo was happy to be spending the Yule Ball with her friends and wasn't even too annoyed with Cameron who had his camera stuck to his face all night. She was trying her best to enjoy the night and celebrate another semester of school done. Exams had been harder than she expected and while her grades were still good she knew she could do better next time. But the ball was supposed to be fun and she was determined to make the most of it. She was giggling at something Isadora had said when she heard Cameron complain and she rolled her eyes. "Well you must not be a good photographer then." she said quickly and didn't waste time trying to think up a more clever come back.

"You must not be a good photographer then," Cameron mimicked back, allowing himself a moment to be petty and stick his tongue out at Margo before taking a shot of the two them, trying to catch Margo's eyeroll on film. "That one's going in the yearbook for sure," he announced grandly, giving the girls a triumphant grin.

Honestly, Cameron quite liked having an excuse not to socialize by having to take photos, but it was nice to have Isadora and Margo hang out with him while he did it too. Especially if it meant he didn't have to look at Aine and her date any longer too. "So you guys actually enjoy dressing up for this stuff or something?" He asked, snapping another, better photo of their dresses, even if he wouldn't tell them exactly what he was doing out loud. He did want them to have pictures in Accio they liked. Plus, he didn't need them thinking he was a totally crap photographer.
