It had taken Rose a while to acquire a lot of different seeds of fruits and vegetables that could grow in New Zealand. Since there were a bunch of spells to alter the weather and with the proper shielding most vegetables and fruit trees could grow properly. Over the past couple of days Rose had cleaned a plot of land on the Wild Patch to make room for the Vegetable Garden. Next to it was a plot that could be used for fruit trees. A fruit tree would take quiet a lot longer to grow, but there were also spells to shorten that time as well.

Rose didn't feel like she was the right person to lead the club though. She loved the club and of course she did love nature, but she wasn't much of a leader. She wasn't much of a talker in front of groups either. Rose shrugged and clutched Edgar even tighter. Soon a lot of members joined the patch and that meant it was time to do something. Rose inhaled deeply and tried to envision that everyone was a succulent. A whole safer thought for the Hufflepuff Prefect. ''Welcome Everyone'' Rose said ''I am Rosemarie Chatwin'' Rose paused ''Welcome to the first event of the Wild Patch Club this year.'' She still felt quiet awkward, but she was excited to go and get her hands dirty soon as well. ''Today we are planting vegetables seeds in this plot and next to it is place for some fruit trees,'' Rose looked around. ''On the table behind me is everything you need, gardening tools, various types of compost and other things you might need.'' Soon it was over that was the thought that kept Rose alive ''I also made little signs you can use to make sure we don't forget what was planted where.'' Luckily for her this was the end and she didn't have to speak in front of everyone for another period. ''If anyone needs help I am here or some of the other members can help you and with that it only leaves me to say Happy planting everyone!'' Rose said, happy it was done. ''Oh, and if you can't wait for things to grow there are spells to speed things up, those are rather advanced though so ask some of the older students for that.'' She added quickly.

Renata hadn't had much of an opportunity to get in to gardening outside of Herbology class, but she was keen to give it a go, as she was with pretty much everything. It didn't bother her if she wasn't very good at it, as long as she had fun. She liked Herbology, after all. She liked flowers too, although she didn't really know that much about them. She'd always admired the bouquets her mother got given from admirers (and her father, of course). They certainly looked pretty, at the very least. She gave the club leader an encouraging smile - she looked pretty nervous but Renata thought that she was doing a great job and that getting to plant things they'd get to use was a fun idea. She said as much to her when she went to grab a fig plant, hoping to grow it throughout her years at Hogwarts that, with some magical assistance, it might be flourishing by her later years. "This is really great!" she said with a smile. "It's really thoughtful and useful." She knew the house elves prepared a lot of the food but it was always good to be able to grow your own produce. Her grandparents grew their own tomatoes for pasta sauce and the flavour was so much better than anything they bought elsewhere.

Glad she'd dressed comfortably, she found a spot around the fruit trees to plant, idly looking to see what everyone else was doing before getting stuck in to her own thing.

He'd only joined the wild patch because he had always enjoyed being outside and around nature. Not really because he was all that interested in looking after and caring for plants. Shoving his hands awkwardly into his pockets, Zagreus was quiet as he listened to the older girl as she explained what they would be doing for that meeting. Planting some fruit trees did sound like a nice idea and not too difficult, either. However, as people started setting off and grabbing things to make a start on the work, Zagreus found himself staying where he was for the moment. Eventually, he did inch forward, grabbing a couple of the signs. Maybe he could work on making some nice signs instead of getting mixed up with any of the planting.

Margo was feeling a little nervous about attending her first meeting for the Wild Patch Club. She felt a little behind since she didn’t think about joining the club last year. She knew it was a silly thought but it was still hard for her to do things without Isadora or Cameron around. But she held her chin up and tried to remember all of the things her grandmother taught her about growing things. They had a small garden at home, nothing quite as elaborate or well maintained as the club’s garden and greenhouse. She looked up from where she had been staring at a patch of daisies when she heard the club leader start to address them. The project for the day sounded fun. Margo picked up a packet of pea seeds that looked promising and went to grab a sign for them when she recognized a boy from her house who seemed to have a similar idea. “Do you know what you’re going to plant?” she piped up when she was standing next to him and pointed at the signs he was holding. She wasn’t very artistic and wondered if he could make one for her. @Zagreus Kohler

Caleb hardly paid attention to the actual point of most Wild Patch meetings. He just liked it as a reason to be outside and if he got to get his hands dirty he didn't really mind what they were supposed to be doing. Today he was looking for a distraction or really anything to keep him busy. Louis had gotten on the quidditch team finally and had been insufferable about it. At this point a trip to the Wild Patch garden was needed just to get away from his friend for a while. He looked up lazily as the new leader told them what they were doing today and he had to admit it sounded nice, even if he wouldn't be able to snack on anything for a while yet. When they were finally left to their own devices, Caleb wasted no time grabbing a shovel and waited to see if anyone needed his help to plant their seeds.

Xinyi wasn't much of a gardener. But Rosie liked this club, and he liked Rosie. He walked down and stood in the back, listening quietly to the leader speak. She seemed a lot quieter, a lot nicer than the last leader. Once they were free to move about, he browsed the seeds, not grabbing anything as he knew he would probably just join Rosie when she arrived. @Rosie Archer

Aubrey had almost considered leaving the Wild Patch club. But this was one of the few things she really enjoyed. This was something she'd spent time doing with Salem, and despite their break up, Aubrey didn't want to forget Salem or the good times they'd had. Aubrey listened as Rosemarie talked about what they were doing. Once they could move about, she gathered a few signs and a few seeds and set to work, humming softly as she worked in the dirt.

Leia arrived at the wild patch club, she was always unsure as to why she came to this but as head girl, if she was a part of clubs she knew it was important for her to go along. She arrived at the outside area for the wild patch club, she was pretty cold and was wishing she'd brought an extra layer. But the leader of the club, a prefect in Hufflepuff, began, and they would planting, which made sense, given this was the wild patch it wasn't too surprising. She found some vegetable seeds, tomatos to be specific, and then began planting them, doing it very very carefully, trying to not get too dirty.

Leonardo hadn't joined that many clubs in his time at school yet, but one of them that he had joined was the wild patch club and he made a point of coming to them, they weren't as focused on herbology as he might've liked but it was fine, he was not unhappy with it. He arrived at the area just as the leader began telling them that they'd be planting food, which he was perfect happy with. He got some carrot seeds and found a spot he could plant them. Using the tools that the leader had supplied them with.

Rosie was very very excited about the prospect of more planting and doing something with the dirt. She arrived excitedly at the area, and immediately after the girl explained what they were to do, Rosie spotted Xinyi. Rosie immediately walked over to him, "What are you thinking for planting today?" she asked him, looking over the seeds that they could plant.

Pearl was pretty sure the club that she'd signed up for weren't super worth it, but, here she now was at the wild patch club. She was stood off to the side, looking at the different faces in front of her and not knowing who any of those were. Pearl listened to what they were to do, but rather than grabbing the seeds immediately she decided to look around, see what others were doing and how they were doing it, she just hadn't wanted to immediately get into it.

He had picked up a couple of the signs to work on, stuffing some nice colored pens into his pockets as well. He wanted to at least put some effort into things, so he couldn't just write the signs in black marker and leave it at that. Though, it seemed as though eon of his classmates seemed to have the same idea as he did and Zagreus did have to blush a little as she started asking what he would be planting. "Oh, I'm probably not going to be planting anything," he offered with a shy smile, "I might like plants, but I do not have green fingers." Anything he planted probably wouldn't end up surviving. He held the signs a little tighter to his chest. "I think I will stick with making some nice signs."
