WHYAna Sofia's parents couldn't decide on one name, which is why they chose to give her a double name. Ana was her father's favourite whilst Sofia was what her mother wished to call her. Eventually they settled on using a double name as her given name and not adding a second name.
THOUGHTSAna Sofia likes her name, although she sometimes finds it annoying that her parents decided on giving her a double name. Not because she doesn't like either of them, because she loves both names, but because she's always never called by her full name. People often go by the first of her double name so she is most commonly known as Ana. She thinks her name is pretty, but she would also have been fine with her parents choosing just Ana as her given name.
NICKNAMESShe will go by anything that relates to her name. Ana. Sofia. Sof. An. Fia. She’s heard it all and she is fine with whatever works. Her mother calls her mi corazon as an expression of her love.
BLOOD STATUSAna Sofia is a half-blood witch. Her mother comes from a muggle family and is a muggle herself, whilst her father comes from a wizarding family and is a mixed-blood wizard.
THOUGHTSEver since she started displaying signs of magic her father taught her that it’s a silly thing to base someone’s worth on their blood status. She knew he told her this to teach her to be acceptive of people, but she also wondered he was trying to prepare her for people who might think differently somehow.
ROOTSAna Sofia is part Puerto Rican and part Kiwi. Her mother is originally from Puerto Rico and her father was born and raised in New Zealand.

PLACE OF BIRTHShe was born in her childhood home in Rotorua. She was born three weeks early and came unexpectedly, leaving her parents no time to get to a hospital.

Cancer. To be born under the sign of cancer represents selfless, caring and loving people who like to demonstrate their love for others. They are intuitive and exhibit uncanny abilities to go to the heart of thing without any intellectual claptrap. DISTINGUISHING FEATURESProbably her most distinguishing feature is her hair, as it makes her easy to spot wherever she goes. Besides her hair she also has a fair amount of freckles gracing her face and a scar on her upper arm that she has had ever since she was a baby and does not know the origin of.

FAVOURITE ACTIVITIESHer favourite activities would be making art and watching Quidditch with her dad. She loves to just go somewhere and bringing colour to a blank canvas (which can be about anything, from paper to actual canvas to even clothes). She feels like watching Quidditch with her dad has enabled her to create a relationship with him and now they go to games together whenever they can.
FAVOURITE ANIMALHer favourite animals would be her two dogs as she loves them endelessly and they have always brought her a lot of joy.

EARLY YEARS
Ana Sofia was born on the 25th of June 2040 to Joseph and Emilia Burleigh in their family home in Rotorua, New Zealand. She was a couple of weeks early which led her to arrival to be completely unexpected. This didn't grant her dad enough time to get her mother to a hospital, which is why she was born at home. Ana Sofia was an only child for the first two years of her life after which her sister Ivelisse was born. The two girls grew up together and from a young age it was clear that Ana Sofia loved her sister dearly and would do almost anything to assure she was happy. Since her mother used to live in Spain the family went on holiday to Spain almost every year. However, they stopped doing this when her parents got divorced. Ana Sofia was seven at the time and her sister was five. Both girls were assigned to live with their father, due to her mother having a job that caused her to be overseas a lot. It took Ana Sofia a little while to get adjusted to the new situation as they moved into a new home as well, but her father did everything he could to help his girls get used to it and it didn't take long for her to feel at home again. When it comes to her magical abilities Ana Sofia was a bit of a late bloomer, only starting to show signs of magic when was already nine years old, whilst her sister started showing them before her at the age of six. Once she was sure of her magical abilities Ana was finally able to start getting excited about going to Hogwarts together with her sister, who had been doing this for years.
