Over the semester, Lysander had spent a lot of time at the Wild Patch, tending to the garden and talking to its new and old members whenever they came by. There always seemed to be someone around to help out with the plots and plants, and with how open and central the gardens were, it always felt busy. People could come and go whenever they wanted, and he loved that about the club compared to some of the others. There was always something to do, and always someone around to do something with. Today though, he'd wanted to do something that involved all of the club members at once, so he'd posted up notices a week prior to let everyone know he was hosting a meeting in the gardens. He had, of course, taken the time to don his usual King of Flowers attire, and had found an old chair in a seemingly unused room that he stole borrowed in order to deck it out in flowers, leaves, vines and a charm here or there to fashion himself a royal throne with. He set it up beneath the shade of the wiggentree, and lounged regally across it while he waited for members to arrive. The area around was dotted with sacks of soil and pots of greenery, as well as an assortment of small jars and globes of glass - empty, for the time being.

Eventually, when the club members had gathered, Lysander slowly rose to his feet, a mock air of importance about him. He clapped his hands for attention. "Greetings, my most loving and loyal of subjects." He grinned, speaking in a terrible, faux-posh voice for dramatic effect. "It is good to see you all here, together, in the Kingdom of Flowers." He swept an arm dramatically to indicate the gardens around them, for those who had not caught on to know that yes, this was the kingdom he was referring to. You just had to imagine real hard. "I, your ever charming and very dashing king, have called you all here today for one purpose!" The boy paced as he talked, swishing his floral cloak with every step he took, pausing only to readjust the crown on his head that had fallen lopsided. "We will be learning how to create our own terrariums, so that no matter how far you roam, you can always keep a part of our beloved wild patch with you. So! Without further ado, let's get started. Everyone can come pick a jar they like, fill it with some stones, moss and soil, and start adding in some of these plants we've grown here. You can keep these in your dorms, or take them home during the holidays, whatever you like. It's like having your own little ecosystem that you can carry around." He'd gotten the idea the last time he'd seen Poppy, and had been briefly reminded of seeing her do the same thing at the lake. It seemed perfect to do here, and a good way to show people how ecosystems worked on a smaller scale. "It's pretty easy, I'm going to be making my own, so if you need any help with putting one together, just ask. Or I have these-" He reached into his pocket to pull out a folded up stack of "wikiHow" pages his dad had printed off on a computer and owled to him, since he'd had a hard time finding a book specifically about it in the library. Not that he'd tried hard to look, mind. "-If you want to learn how to do it on your own. Have fun!"

Ana Sofia had been excited when the notice for the wild patch meeting had occured, eagerly making her way towards the gardens now it was actually time for the meeting to take place. She was quite impressed with how their new club leader had managed to deck out the chair he was sitting on, although it took quite some willpower not to giggle at the way he was lounging on it. Those giggles eventually did come when he started talking in a fancy voice, seemingly taking his title very seriously. She loved the idea he had come up with for the meeting though and was keen to get started from the second he explained what they would be doing. Ana bounced from one foot to the other as the leader continued his talk and explanation, happily heading over to grab one of the jars when he was finally done. She started off by filling it with soil, moss and some stones before looking around as she decided whether she wanted to read one of the papers just to be sure she was doing it right or just start picking plants to add to her little jar.

Aubrey wasn't sure why, but she felt like this year would be her year. She settled down in the meeting, unable to resist smiling at Lysander's antics. He was such a fun guy. She wondered idly if he was seeing anyone, but set the thought aside. There was no way a guy like Lysander would even notice someone like Aubrey. She shook the thought from her mind and turned to her project. After consideration, she picked a larger jar and settled back into her seat, perusing over her options. "This is a rather clever little project, isn't it?" She asked conversationally, flashing a smile to the girl next to her. @Ana Sofia Burleigh

Xinyi was nervous, but excited for the first wild patch meeting. He was trying to act tougher than he felt, really, but locking away his soft side was so hard, especially in such a beautiful place like this. He listened to the king speak, awed by how free the boy was. He seemed so sure, and confident, and so cool. Xinyi smiled shyly, eager to do anything to please their leader. He picked up two jars, wanting to make little gifts for both of his siblings. He settled into his seat and set to work, keeping his head down.

Maisie was excited for the first wildpatch meeting. It just seemed like such a cool club! She skipped in, taking a seat and giggling immediately as she took in the king. He was so regal! She continued to giggle through his speech, unable to help herself. He was such a fun person. She wondered idly if she would meet anyone else with his sort of personality. She certainly hoped so, he seemed like a good sort of person. She was intrigued by his idea, and immediately she picked the biggest jar she could find before moving back to her seat to start work on her project.

Salem had been spending as much time outdoors as she could now that the NZ weather was starting to warm up. It was so boring being cooped up in the castle day after to day when it rained, which it seemed to do a lot in the Winter and Spring here. But with Summer nearly there, Salem had nothing stopping her. She'd been out in the grounds long enough she nearly forgot there was a Wild Patch meeting today, but at least it wasn't too far to get to the school gardens, arriving in time to catch Lysander standing regally up from his makeshift throne. Salem snorted as Lysander's accent and crown, enjoying the pageantry as he explained what they were making today. She'd not thought too hard about the title of the club leader for the Wild Patch, but she enjoyed Lysander taking it so literally.

Picking her way around the garden, Salem found a mason jar she liked the look of, packing it full of dirt and moss and a few stones that she liked, stopping for a bit to admire her work before looking around for what kind of plants to put in it. "Oh. I over filled it," she said after a moment of consideration, speaking outloud mostly to herself as she noted where the moss was now overflowing from the top of her jar.

sky was looking forward to the wild patch meeting. she was looking forward to spending a beautiful day outside. She was glad that there were a few people from her year there she she vaguely recognised from class though she had never spoken to them sh stood next to them "hi, I'm SKy, I think we have charms together" she said before the leader started introducing the activity. She had seen terrariums before but never had one of her own. She took a jar that was slightly larger than a mason jar and made her way over to the gravel where sh scooped some in trying to work out how many she needed to keep it drained but not too many to fill the jar.

Rose loved the Wild Patch meetings and excitingly walked over the patch. Her own succulent hanging in its holder on her hip. The leader was in a somewhat cool throne and Rose grinned, it did look fantastic. The new leader seemed to take the king of flowers thing pretty serious as he called the members loyal subjects. It was kind of weird, but Rose her heart was at the gardens. Rose grabbed a big jar and started to fill it with moss soil and some plants. It was fun and soon Rose found herself occupied with every plant, rock and stone she wanted to place in the glass.

Ana Sofia eventually decided that yes, she did want to read one of the pages Lysander had provided to make sure she was doing the whole thing right. Even if that would take some time away from her actually getting it all together since she was a bit of a slow reader. She headed over to grab one of the pages before settling down again, just about to start reading when the girl next to her spoke. It took Ana a second to realize her classmate had been talking to her. "It is." She eventually nodded as she looked back down at her jar. "And it's like.. a little educational? But in a fun way." She beamed at Aubrey, quite pleased with their activity today. @Aubrey Miller

While Natalia didn’t really love being in a club, she was still glad she had signed up for the Wild Patch Club last year. Even if most of the members were pretty annoying. The girl headed to the new meeting, wondering what the club leader had in store for them today. She noticed the throne he had made for himself with some distaste and didn’t bother to hide her irritation when he addressed them as his subjects. It was childish and stupid and Natalia had expected better of a pureblood.

At least the subject of today’s event was pretty fun. They were going to make a terrarium, which was a good idea. Natalia liked the idea of having a small garden to tend to even in the dormitory. Natalia wanted to get started, but frowned in distaste at the muggle instructions the boy gave them. She would rather figure it out on her own than use that. Natalia grabbed a jar and got started, distancing herself a bit from the rest as she quietly worked on her terrarium. She hoped she was doing it right.

Aubrey smiled at Ana's words. "It's fun, I think it's going to be very pretty." She told him. "Do you like plants?" She asked Ana, but she was distracted as she heard a familiar voice. She looked over, smiling as she saw Salem and leaning over a bit. "Yours is very pretty. Would you like me to make your jar bigger?" She asked Salem.

Caleb wasn’t sure what to think about the new club leader as he lounged in front of everyone with a ridiculous outfit. But at least their project for today sounded cool. He wouldn’t mind having a little terrarium with him in his dorm room. The dungeons were always so bleak, it would be nice to have something to liven the place up a bit. He quickly grabbed his supplies and got to work adding the rocks first followed by dirt and some moss. Caleb thought about grabbing some instructions but he felt confident he could figure it out on his own.

Poppy was excited for the first Wild Patch meeting of the year, especially with Lysander in charge. It was odd to think that they were old enough to be in charge of things. The thought made her head spin if she dwelled on it too long but when she arrived she was not disappointed. She failed at keeping her laughter to herself and let a few chuckles slip before their new ‘king’ addressed them. She listened closely and her brows furrowed as he explained the process of making terrariums. It sounded a lot like a project she had tried out in the lake a few years ago and wondered if that was where he got it from. Poppy joined Lysander as he finished talking and picked up a set of instructions and flipped through it casually. “Quite a setup you have here.” she said with a laugh. ”Hope you're not expecting to be carried around?” she teased. @Lysander Summers

Minnie had thought not longer having her parents over her shoulder every day would make her more inclined to be less guilty about attending club events, but as it turned out it didn't. She still felt bad about going though she was more inclined to go. But upon her arriving at the wild patch and hearing they'd be building their own terranium, a little guarden of her own. She listened to what little more the boy said before getting her own jar and putting the dirt in and beginning to make it look nice and ensure it would be both pretty and function. It was maybe quite calming.

Ajaccio arrived at the wild patch area and greeted his friend warmly, giving a massive thumbs up as he found a good spot to stand in. He could figure out what they'd be doing by the jars that Lysander had handy. He listened along, chuckling lightly at the choice of words that he was using. He wondered if maybe he should take the title of king for accio too, but perhaps editor was better, more descriptive any way. He grabbed a jar and was half doing it and half just looking out for anyone who he could jump in and help.

Leonardo had somehow managed to make it through his first club meeting and he felt a little more confident for the second. He had only really decided to join the club on a whim, thinking it might be practical to herbology but as the leader spoke he felt that perhaps wasn't the case. He glanced around at the different people there and spotted that girl from halloween. He took a jar and took a bit of paper with the instructions and began following them to make his own little jar sized garden.

Connor had been looking forward to the Wild Patch meeting, up until the second he remembered who was in charge of the club now. He didn't know if Lysander would give him a hard time about their unfortunate encounter in the holidays, but frankly, he couldn't blame the Gryffindor if he wanted to. It had been stupid, and Connor knew he deserved all the crap he got for it. It was just frustrating to know he couldn't even really spend time in his favourite club without all his mistakes following him. He stuck to the back as Lysander explained what they were doing and set to his work silently, enjoying having something to occupy his hands and keep his mind off his problems.

Lysander grinned when he caught sight of Ajax around and gave him a small wave, before turning his attention to Poppy as she came up. He shifted his gaze between her and his throne, chuckling lightly, and pretended to write on the back of one of the instruction pages. "Get...members...to carry...me around." He joked, ending the imaginary note-taking with a dramatic full stop. "Knew you had some good ideas." He laughed and picked up one of the terrariums for himself to fill. "I got this one from you, actually." He admitted. He was reminded of her filling her own jar a lot, anytime he went to the lake, and he'd wanted to make his own terrarium on and off for a while, but hadn't had an excuse to get around to it until now. The Gryffindor hesitated when he noticed Connor hanging around at the back, and gave a small, awkward smile, more towards the empty air than him directly.

Salem glanced up from her dilemma when she heard Aubrey speak, relieved someone had a solution that wasn’t just dumping it all out and starting over. “I mean, it’s mostly moss, it’s not that pretty yet. But thanks, I like it,” she said with a laugh, admiring a bit of moss that was particularly green. “Can you enlarge it without making the moss huge too?” She asked, holding up the jar for Aubrey. Salem liked her jar a lot, but she’d only just covered engorgement charms in class and didn’t trust herself not to explode everything trying herself. Aubrey was cooler and older though, so she probably didn’t need to worry. @Aubrey Miller
