Personality: Gwen is a very cheerful and energetic girl on the outside. She's outwardly social and seems to get along with everyone, but if one pays close attention to her it becomes obvious that Gwen isn't above snubbing or ignoring people she finds boring or lame. She's much more calculating than she seems, using her cute and happy persona to hide that side of her. She loves cute clothes and accessories and enjoys being outside when it's sunny and nice. History: Gwen is an only child. She has been adopted by the Goodwin family as a baby, as her biological mother died when she was very young. Mrs. Goodwin was a close childhood friend of her biological mother and was happy to adopt the young girl. Who Gwen's biological father is is unknown. Over the years, Mrs. Goodwin has told her a lot about her biological mother, telling her many stories of their times together and what she was like. Unconsciously, Gwen has started trying to make her happy by trying to be like her biological mother, based on what she knows from the stories. She has noticed it always makes her mother very happy, so she hides parts of herself that don't align with the image her mother has of her. For example, she has started playing the flute after hearing her biological mother used to play that when she was younger, something Gwen herself doesn't particularly enjoy.

She has grown up in New Zealand, living in Whangarei with her mother and father. Gwen went to a muggle school and was a bit sad to leave some of her friends behind, but mostly she felt excited to finally become a real witch.

School reputation: Gwen would be pretty well known by older students, and generally well-liked. She spent a lot of time building up her cheerful, bubbly reputation. A few students that have gotten closer to her have seen more of her real self. This may be becoming a bit more well-known as Gwen gets older and put less effort into appearing nice and sweet. Still, she would generally have a positive reputation and is probably seen as pretty fashionable.

Gwen kind of dismissed René as boyfriend material early on, but is glad to be dating him now. Mostly because he's older and also a Quidditch captain, and he listens to her when she tells him what to do.​

Molly Burke - friend and classmate​

Molly has been Gwen's friend since their early years at Hogwarts. It's not a very deep friendship, mostly because Gwen is rarely truly herself around the Hufflepuff. She mostly just keeps her around because she's easy to manipulate, though she does like the girl. ​

Renata Stepanova - friend and classmate​

Renata became Gwen's friend after she transferred to Hogwarts. Her relationship with Renata is similar to that with Molly, though she has some resentments towards the girl for being named Heta Omega president over her. ​

Akihiro Chen - ex-boyfriend, classmate, disliked​

Gwen is very bitter towards Akihiro, even years later, for suddenly dumping her. She dislikes him greatly and goes out of her way to avoid him. ​

Cameron Roswell - Aquantance from Accio, fellow Slytherin prefect, disliked​

Gwen doesn't actively dislike Cameron but she does find him very distasteful. She thinks it's a shame he's been made a prefect. ​

Celia Vuong - fellow Slytherin, strongly disliked​

Gwen and Celia used to be friendly on the surface, but things changed at the Prefect's meeting in Gwen's sixth year. Gwen confronted the older girl about the prefect pairings and the two started to openly dislike each other. Gwen can't wait until she's gone.​

Gwen disliked Niamh on principle for being different and not being ashamed about it. She's made snide comments about the girl's fashion sense over the years, making fun of her behind her back. ​

Giulia Alcott - classmate, disliked​

Gwen doesn't like Giulia because she thinks the girl is a nerd. She mostly felt dismissive about the girl until she started dating Akihiro. Now Gwen greatly dislikes her, mostly because she feels like she's not in Akihiro's league at all and she doesn't get why he'd pick someone like Giulia over her. ​

Brevity transferred to Hogwarts in their fifth year. Gwen tried being nice to her, but Brevity was incredibly rude back. Gwen really dislikes her now. ​

First Year

"I loved going to Hogwarts for the first time! Seeing the castle was so magical and I liked most of my classes. I'm so lucky to make friends immediately, though I imagine I'll make many more friends before my time at Hogwarts is over. I can't wait to go back for my second year, I think it'd be nice not to be the youngest anymore."

Gwen had a fun first year at Hogwarts. She met many different people. Most of them were her classmates, but Gwen made a point in trying to befriend older kids as well. She knows that would help her get more popular more quickly. She joined two clubs, Heta Omega and Accio, though she was only an intern at the yearbook. Gwen enjoyed the events at Hogwarts, going to the yule ball with a date. She doesn't think she'll go with Leonardo again, though, as she thinks he's a little weird. Gwen looks forward to her second year a lot.

Gwen looked around with wide eyes as she followed the other first years into the Great Hall. She had always imagined Hogwarts would be beautiful, but even her imaginations didn't quite live up to the real deal. But once they entered the Great Hall, Gwen forced herself to stop looking around at the beautiful ceiling and the floating ghosts, but instead focus on what was important. She first scanned the staff table, taking in the different teachers. Of course, she had no way of knowing which ones would be teaching her, but she could at least take note of who looked nice and who didn't. Then, she moved her attention to the four house tables. But Gwen didn't have much time to see which of the tables had the best looking people, because the Headmistress started to speak. Gwen looked in her direction and listened closely, then listened to the hat's song. The hat then started to call out names, and Gwen watched her classmates sit down and get sorted one by one. She already tried to think of who would be good to befriend, but it wasn't very long until her own name was called. Gwen headed over to the stool and sat down, watching the crowd of students with a cheerful smile until the hat went over her eyes and blocked her view.

"Oh....you are interesting, but this is still rather simple. You'll be perfectly suited and find your ambition well placed in......Slytherin,"

"I loved returning to Hogwarts for my second year! It was great to see all my friends again, especially Molly and Akihiro. I also met a lot of fun new people and even joined a new club. I enjoyed delivering roses a lot as well. It was just a lot of fun!"​

Gwen had a nice second year, she started to plan out a bit more who she should hang out with so she could improve her popularity, ignoring the girls in her year she feared might make her reputation worse. She went to the yule ball with an older Quidditch player, René Tofilau, and went to Valentine's with Akihiro Chen on a real date. She was very pleased with how this year went.

Spoiler: Graduation Post

Gwen was feeling a little impatient about graduation, it felt like it had taken too long to get to this point. Her last year at Hogwarts had been boring and disappointing, and Gwen couldn't wait until she was somewhere she could be recognized for the great witch she was. After all, she should have been the one on the podium instead of Molly. Still, she didn't particularly want to give some empty speech about hope to the hall, so she was fine sitting where she was. She listened as the head boy gave his speech, wondering if he was aware it sounded just like all the speeches before him from the previous years. The same thing went for Molly. Still, Gwen made a point of shooting her an encouraging smile, it would be nice to keep her friendship for now. Though who knew if they could keep it up after graduating? Gwen sighed as she looked around. René wasn't here, which was a shame. He felt really bad about it too, which was annoying. Obviously, it wasn't his fault he had a game to play today, but it would have been nice to rub her professional Quidditch player boyfriend in people's faces. She looked up when the names started being called. When it was her turn, she smiled and got up, calmly walking to the stage to accept her diploma. She supposed it was kind of a nice moment. She returned to her seat, feeling optimistic about her future.
