Closed A Proper Date

Akihiro had spent a bit of extra time preparing for the dance tonight. He was waiting for Gwen in the common room, sitting on one of the couches. He had his legs crossed, and a rose in his hand. Well, he had three of them. One pink, one red, one white. He hadn't seen Gwen's choice of attire, and he wanted to give her the option of what rose she wished to have. He hummed softly to himself, waiting for his date to come down so he could escort her to the dance.

Gwen was excited about tonight. She'd had a date to the Yule Ball, and while that had been exciting, it had quickly soured. The date with Akihiro had more promise if she was honest. She definitely didn't think he would make her hang out with a piece of cardboard all night. Gwen spotted her date in the common room and did a twirl in front of him, her poofy pink dress floating around her. "We match!" She said delightedly.

Akihiro smiled warmly as Gwen appeared. He watched her twirl, appreciating her pink dress. It had been a safe bet after all, going with pink as a proper valentine's theme. He chuckled gently and stood, attempting to catch her hand with his. "You look beautiful, Gwen," He told her. He offered out the roses. "I thought I might let you choose your rose," He smiled warmly at her.

Gwen smiled, letting Akihiro take her hand. He was always trying to touch her hand or her hair, and Gwen figured that meant he really had to like her. She smiled shyly at his compliment, even if she had already known she looked radiant. She was probably the prettiest girl out of her year here tonight. She laughed softly at the roses he offered, then looked thoughtful. "Do I have to pick just one?" She asked him playfully. "They're all so pretty."

Akihiro chuckled. "Absolutely not," He told her. "Where would you like them?" He looked over her dress. "They might be a lovely accent," He met her gaze again and smiled warmly. "Though I must admit, you're more beautiful than any flower," He flirted with her.

Gwen smiled and attached the roses to her dress, beaming. "Thanks, it's so cute!" She said brightly. "Want to dance?" She asked, blushing a bit at his compliment. She liked how Akihiro treated her like an adult, but he was a bit intense sometimes.

Akihiro chuckled and held out his arm for Gwen. "Absolutely. Shall we?" He motioned forward, intending to lead her into the hall to enjoy their evening. They were going to be the best matched couple there. While he believed they were too young to be dating, he fully intended to continue in his efforts to woo her and ask her out in fourth or fifth year.
