This event is open for Heta Omega members and Brotherhood members only

Emilia was proud of the idea for today's meeting, and was excited to have something together with the Brotherhood club. Emilia knew many of the girls in her club would enjoy socializing with the boys in the other club, and she hoped everyone would just have a good time at the party. She had prepared a nice spot next to the lake, and the sun shone down on the water invitingly. Emilia was happy with the nice summery weather for today, and had placed a bunch of towels and blankets on the ground for club members to lounge on. She had also provided a few different outdoor games and a ball so they could play sports or games, as well as a picnic area with another blanket and baskets and small tables with snacks and drinks. There were a few trees nearby for shade as well, thankfully, so they didn't have to be in the full sunlight the whole time if they didn't want to be. It seemed like the perfect way to celebrate being back to school, and to make a few connections outside their own club. Emilia was smiling as different members of both clubs started to arrive at the designated area, and waved the girls over who looked a bit uncertain. She hoped they wouldn't be too shy around the boys, though she guessed that they would all enjoy each other's company soon enough. "Hi guys!" She said brightly when she noticed most of the girls and a lot of boys had arrived too. "Welcome to our Heta Omega and Brotherhood of Magic back to school summer party!" She said brightly, pointedly not looking at her cousin or her ex boyfriend, who was in the Brotherhood club. Emilia didn't need to talk to either of them at this event, and didn't intend to. "I know, it's not the catchiest name ever, but I'm sure we'll all have a bunch of fun together." She said cheerfully, gesturing to everything they had prepared. "Come sit down, work on your tan, play some games, dip your toes into the lake... whatever you want to do." She clapped her hands. "For safety's sake, we do want to ask you not to swim too far into the lake. We don't want anything bad to happen." She told them, glancing over at the boys who she thought were more likely to try that. "If we have to get a professor for someone's safety, we will probably not be allowed to do something like this ever again." She warned. "So lets stay near the shore if you do want to get in the water." She glanced at the Brotherhood president, then at her co-president. "Anything you guys want to add?" She asked, realizing she had been talking for a bit now.

OOC: Big thanks to Kris for giving me this idea! Credit to her!

Abian had been happy to go along with the idea of the Heta Omega president, as he did think a party at the lake would be a fun event for both their clubs. He'd brought a few games to the lakeside, as well as an inflatable beach ball. He hoped that the boys would have fun at the party, and wouldn't mind that this would again be an event taking place outside instead of in their club room. It would just be nice to hang out with the girls, though it was a shame that his girlfriend Emily wasn't in Heta Omega, he would have liked to hang out with her at the lake. But today was a day for the clubs to interact and bond together, and Abian thought it would be fun. He stood next to the two Heta Omega presidents, listening as one of them started off the event. When she gave him a moment to speak as well, he felt like most things were already said. "Well, uh, welcome Brotherhood. We're hosting an event together so we can hang out with the other club too and make new friends. Let's try to not just stick to our own club, and all have fun together." He told them, glancing at the girls with a shrug. Was he forgetting anything? "Let's just have fun." He added a little sheepishly.

Another combined club party was super exciting! The lake had to be Lysander's number one favourite spot in the school, so a summer party in the cool water was probably the best thing he could ask for. The boy joined the group, dressed in his board shorts and an old Kaikōura Kea shirt he'd found, as well as the Heta bracelet he'd managed to get at the previous year's club fair. It seemed like the best time to wear it, seeing as he couldn't actually join the club. He listened to the leaders talk, and pulled a face when Emilia told them not to swim too far out. That wasn't very fun. It wasn't very fair to any of the merfolk who wanted to join in. Once they'd finished talking, he got his hands on the inflatable beach ball and made a run for the water. He kicked it as far as he could, to give himself an excuse to swim a bit further out than the Heta leader might have liked, and dived in with a loud whoop.

Fleur thought the idea of a party at the lake was pretty cool, and threw on a simple dress before heading down there with Emma. She was happy to spend the time with her sisters, as all three of them were in Heta Omega. It was just a shame that Lars wasn't part of the brotherhood, as he definitely could use a distraction after the breakup. But she kind of doubted he would go, even if he had been in the club. Once the president stopped talking, Fleur headed to the water and sat down in the grass, dipping her feet in the water and watching as Lysander Summers ran into the water with the beach ball. If she knew her sister, Emma wouldn't be far behind.

While Diana thought a party with the Brotherhood club would be fun in theory, the lack of interesting boys in that club was dampening her enthusiasm quite a bit. She was now dating Cole, and he wasn't in the Brotherhood. He wasn't the type for it, so she didn't begrudge him that he wasn't in it, but it did make the whole point of the party kind of useless for her. Diana scoffed at the balls and toys lying around, already annoyed with the younger kids for undoubtedly making a nuisance of themselves. She dragged a towel a bit away from everyone before lying down on it, placing her sunglasses on her face mostly to block out anyone searching out her company. She would just use this as a chance to sunbathe for a bit, and she hoped the younger kids would leave her in peace.

Alice had considered not joining this event, but in the end she didn't want Blake to stop her from doing something that should be fun. But as she looked around at the other excited faces, she realized she was probably a bit out of place here, and really not in the mood to party. But she didn't want to return to the castle immediately, especially not where Blake or his friends could see her. She wished Ava or Emily were in Heta Omega, but at least she knew many of the girls were very nice. She listened to the presidents quietly, then made her way over to a quiet spot near the lake, taking a seat on a large rock. She hadn't put much thought into her outfit, just wearing a random shirt and some shorts, her hair up in a messy bun. She purposely didn't look around to see if Blake was here, though she knew he was in the brotherhood and it was likely. Alice stared over at the water, pulling up one knee and resting her chin on it. It was a nice day, maybe being outside for a little while wouldn't be too bad.

The idea of a party with both the Brotherhood and Heta Omega was pretty cool to Jasper, especially has he had a few friends in the girl club. He ran up to the lake in shorts and a Slytherin shirt, grinning happily. He was glad there was a ball and some other fun stuff to mess around with. He looked around for Nell or Sierra during the speeches, and quickly ran over to the soccer ball once they were allowed free reign. "Who wants to play?" He called.

Emma had practically dragged Fleur out of the common room in excitement. A lake party! With the brotherhood! It was a great idea, and she was ready to have fun and party it up. She ran up to the lake the moment the president was done talking, spotting Lysander with the beach ball running into the water too. "Wait for me!" She called after him, jumping into the lake and running through the shallow water to catch up to him. She tried her best to move past Lysander. "I'll race you!" She yelled, pushing past him.

@Lysander Summers

Chloë had been excited when she heard about the party. It was a fun way to start of the semester after their break and she happily made her way towards the lakefront. She looked around as the president spoke and noticed a lot of familiar faces. One of them was the girl who was supposed to be her big sister. She looked annoyed and the gryffindor noticed her sitting away from everyone. Chloë was pretty sure the older girl was trying to be left alone, but that wasn't going to stop her from walking up to her. If she didn't want to interact with people she shouldn't have joined a club. "Hi!" She smiled as she sat down next to the older girl, curious as to whether she would respond and if she did whether she would tell her to go away.

@Diana Holland

Jacob was happy to support two of his closest friends and enjoy some fun at the lake. It was definitely a great way to start the semester. With a grin, Jacob strolled to the meeting spot and listened as the two leaders spoke. When the speeches we're done, Jacob looked around, unsure of what to do but only for a second. "Me!" he called out, heading to the younger guy with the soccer ball.

Zennon had literally no idea who was even in Heta Omega. He was sure that was something he should know, if any of his female friends were in it, but he barely paid attention to anything that wasn't himself the last couple of years so it was a miracle he even know who was in the Brotherhood with him, if he was perfectly honest. He knew neither of his sisters were in Heta Omega, and he was pretty sure that Sam wasn't either, though it would be a lovely surprise if she was. He'd been thinking about things a lot lately, head down and just going with the flow as it was. The cr@p last semester with Arvel was mostly out of his mind now, though he couldn't help but to think about it every time he saw the Hufflepuff in class. It was a little frustrating to know that Analei was still friends with him, and, honestly, he had to admit he understood a bit more of what Jake had been on about with being friends with him but not Analei. It sucked. Sucked even more to know that apparently the problem had been something Zennon didn't even have any control over, he wasn't entirely sure who had been at fault, him or Arvel, and that was the most frustrating part. But he was over it, totally. A part by the lake sounded like a blessing though, and he was super excited as he made his way down there, though he had no idea what he was going to actually do. Once he got there, he listened to what was being said, which made a lot of sense unfortunately and grinned at Jake. He hadn't seen as much of Jake as he would have liked lately, and given the things he kept hearing from other people, his friend had been very busy with his personal life. Shame he didn't talk to Zennon about it. The frown caught him off guard a little and he shook his head, focusing instead on the activities. What was he going to do first?

While Tyler wasn't in the mood to party, he wasn't going to avoid an event like this. If nothing else, the whole situation had made Tyler feel less like he had to be second to Blake. Why couldn't he be popular on his own? He headed over to the party, listening to both presidents before heading over to the lake. Maybe he'd talk to a few girls later, though he hoped he would be able to avoid Sierra. Part of him hoped she was too scared to see him to attend, but he knew he couldn't count on that. As upset as she had been, he had started to feel like Sierra brushed everything off. It wouldn't surprise him to see her as her usual cheerful self, which would just be infuriating. Tyler went to the water and started to swim, staying close enough to the shore to avoid getting called out, but far away from the kids playing with the beach ball.

Alexis had arrived at the meeting slash lakeside party organized by both Heta and Brotherhood. It was nice to be able to socialize with other club members before she graduated. Listening to Emilia gave the speech as well as the Brotherhood president, she was already scanning the group to see who had turned up and who she knew from the other organization. When everybody started to spread out, she could see Jasper with a soccer ball while some others with a beach ball and already having fun in the water. The Ravenclaw did wear some swimwear underneath but she wanted to interact with the other members before going into the water. She saw Alice by the rock and was about to approach the girl when a younger student beat her to it. Looking around once more, she saw Fleur on the grass and made her way to the Gryffindor. "Hey, Fleur. Can I join you?", she smiled in greeting. If her memory served her right and it usually did, they had never had conversed despite being prefects together and both seventh years.

Olivia was surprised to hear that Heta and the brotherhood was having a joint party though she had no interesting in hanging out with the boys like she knew some of the girls would be. Olivia made her way down to the lake where everyone was gathering and listened to Emila give her introduction speech and the boy from the brotherhood do the same and when everyone began mingling Olivia grabbed a blanket and found some space to lay down and relaxed away from the group.

Adorah meandered towards the lake where she saw a bunch of students gathered. She had thrown a sun dress over her bathing suit and was hoping she would see students she knew, but the mixing of the two clubs made her a little nervous. She wondered if Elliot was in the brotherhood. They hadn't hung out a lot this year. She listened as the presidents spoke about the event and then looked around for familiar faces. She saw a few older students that she knew but didn't feel up to talking to. Instead, Adorah decided to make her way into the water. Taking off her sun dress, she waded into the water and started to float on her back, feeling a nice breeze on her face. Suddenly, she felt her head bump into something and quickly started to flail as she turned around, realizing that she ran into a boy. "Oh, gosh, I'm so sorry!" she apologized.

Getting ready for the lake party, Nicole had been pretty adamant she had zero intention of going into the lake. It was gross and mucky and who knew what was even in there. She wasn't even really confident enough to go swimming without her shorts on too and she was worried some of the older girls might notice if she tried. So, content to sit on the shore, Nicole was sure she would find something fun to do that kept her perfectly dry. However, it didn't take long after Emilia and the brotherhood president set them loose that Lysander and Emma were off together seeming to have a blast in the lake. Nicole dithered on the shore, snapping her jandal up against her heel indecisively.

Eventually, the fear of looking boring or missing out on having fun won out over staying dry and Nicole kicked off her jandals with a frustrated sigh, pulling her pony tail up tighter. "Hey, wait for me, guys!" She called after the other two, letting out a little scream at the cold water as she dipped her feet in. "Oh, that's cold!" She whined, letting out another cry as the water reached her navel, her arms caged loosely around her head as if they could protect her somehow. @Lysander Summers @Emma van Houten

Diana pushed her sunglasses up, squinting up at the person who had interrupted her. She sighed at the sight of her little sister. Chloe, was it? "Can I help you?" She asked, squinting at her from under her glasses. Was she not going to run around with the other little kids? Just Diana's luck when she wanted to be left alone.

@Chloe Thompson

An older boy responded to his call, and Jasper grinned at him. He recognized him as Jacob Kingsley, the Gryffindor Quidditch captain. That made him pretty cool in Jasper's eyes, though the boy didn't have to know that. "Awesome." He said, grabbing the ball and moving back to create a bit of space. "Here!" He then called, kicking the ball towards Jacob.

@Jacob Kingsley

Fleur splashed her feet in the water a bit, watching her younger sister run around in the water. She heard a familiar voice, looking up to see Alexis Kramer from Ravenclaw approach her. They were both prefects, and had been in the same classes since their first year, but they had never talked much. Fleur smiled at the girl and nodded, shifting to the side a bit to create more room. "Sure thing. The water is pretty nice." She told the Ravenclaw.

@Alexis Kramer

Swimming was making Tyler feel a little better, as he had found exercise was a good way to get certain things off his mind. He also managed to forget he was at a party, until he felt something bump into him. Tyler whirled around, splashing a little in alarm. He frowned as he saw a girl, which turned into a scowl as she apologized. He rose up a bit in the water, glaring at her. "There's a whole lake." He said, gesturing. "Can you use your eyes and stop bothering me?" He snapped. "Go play over there with the other little kids." He added, gesturing to the kids with the beach ball.

@Adorah Zumwalt

Iris wasn't surprised that Emma ran straight into the lake with her Gryffindor friend, but had no inclination to follow her. She thought the party was a nice idea, but she didn't feel like splashing around in the water just yet. She watched as Nicole started to follow them, smiling a bit as she shrieked at the cold water. Then she wandered away from them a bit, looking around the shore for nice looking rocks, which she started to collect while humming softly to herself.

Jacob had played before. His father had taught him the rules of soccer as the older man called it though his mother always rolled her eyes at that before reminding the entire room it was football. Jacob didn't care what it was called. It reminded him of Quidditch. Jacob grinned and then kicked the soccer ball back, perhaps with a little more force than he should have. He was just excited. "Whoops" he declared with a chuckle.
@Jasper Night

Adorah was taken aback as the boy she had run into rudely spoke to her. She scrunched her nose and stared at him. "It's not like you're that much older than me, boy," she retorted, crossing her arms as she considered splashing him. She didn't know him, but he seemed like somebody who didn't have a lot of friends. Or maybe he was just cranky. Before she realized it, she splashed water in his face as she scooted herself away with a couple backstrokes. "I guess I'll just take my little kid antics away from your presence," she remarked at him.

Evan was delighted at the idea of a Lakeside party, when six months ago she may have been terrified of the concept. She was more than ready to start spending more time outdoors at Hogwarts, and being around Heta Omega and having a chance to socialise and settle back into being back at Hogwarts felt perfect to Evan. She arrived at the lake, happy to be there, keeping an eye out for her friends. She gave @Emma van Houten a little wave as she walked past the older Gryffindor splashing in the lake. She spotted @Clara McCarthy in the distance and skipped over to her.

"Hey Clara! How was your holiday? I missed you!!"
