It was the end of the school year, a final goodbye for some, but merely the start of a long, well deserved break for most. Students and staff alike could enjoy some quality time at home without the stress of exams and study looming over their heads. The castle would be uncharacteristically quiet with most of them gone, a reprieve from the antics and rivalries, but there was still work to be done over the course of the holidays for at least some members of the staff, and the house elves employed to ensure Hogwarts remained presentable for the coming year.

As the students filed in, the banners adorning the Great Hall rippled and changed to reflect the signature red and gold colours of Gryffindor house, signifying their outstanding victory for another year. They had done well, and taken quite the lead compared to the other houses. Rising from her seat at the staff table, Katherine slowly made her way up to the podium, waiting for everyone to settle into their own seats before speaking. "Welcome one and all to this year's final feast. Before we begin, I'd like to say a few words. First of all, a round of applause for the winners of this year's House Cup - congratulations to Gryffindor!" The woman announced, producing the cup in question seemingly from thin air, to be presented to Professor Kingsley on behalf of her house.

"Of course, we can't forget those students who's dedication and ambition earned the most points for their respective houses. Our top house point earners this year are - in first place, Minnie Calida of Ravenclaw, with a grand total of nine hundred and sixty-six points. In second place, with a total of seven hundred and eighty-five points - Vader Hume, of Gryffindor. In third, River Hopkins-Vance, of Slytherin, with seven hundred and sixty-seven points. Last but not least, we have Elliot Briar of Hufflepuff, with seven hundred and twenty-four points. Congratulations to our winners." The Headmistress joined in the applause for each of them, commending their efforts and achievements toward their house.

As the applause died down, the woman moved to wrap things up and allow them to commence eating. "A quick reminder, as per the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, you are not permitted to use magic underage outside of Hogwarts. I do not want to receive any letters from the Ministry of Magic over this end of year break. Now, enjoy this feast and have a safe travel home. Until next year."

This was his final feast at Hogwarts and he couldn't help but keep glancing around at the hall trying to take it all in. Perhaps it wouldn't be the last time he saw it but it was still going to be different. This was the last time he'd see it as Head Boy, as a student. He looked up at the headmistress as she began the feast he applauded to his house, proud of the work they had all put in. He was a little surprised at being the top points earner for his house but at least it would be a last good mark against his name for this school. But with that he just tucked into the food in front of him and buzzed excitedly about what the future would hold for him outside of this school.

Cyzarine couldn't believe she'd be a seventh year next year, she couldn't believe that she'd be sitting her NEWTs, that she would have so much work to do and yet be so close to finishing. It just seemed so crazy to her that she was so close to the end of her schooling. She knew what she wanted to do with her life and in theory she wouldn't need the NEWTs for it, and Mihail was already doing it but she wanted to finish her schooling, get her NEWTs and just have the celebration of graduating. She cheered loudly for her house, proud of them, and cheered loudly for the top points. She began eating the food as it appeared so excited by everything that was to come.

Alexis walked into the hall for the final feast of the year. She would be back next year so she wasn't too bothered that the year was over. She looked up and sneered. The Gryffindor colours seemed to be teasing her. She sat down and listened carefully to the speech. She clapped along with everyone else because, even if she wasn't happy about it, she believed in giving credit where it was due. Next year she would be a third year. Even though she didn't participate much this year she decided she would try harder.

Ronald so amazing that 3rd year in a row Gryffindor win House Cup his proud to him self because he always want that Gryffindor always be on top and he is not dissapointing instead it will be victory at his house, Ronald see that red and gold wave at the upper part of the great hall, and its start of break, and he came back he also a 3rd year with the previlage to pick up other subject at Hogwarts and I want my House will be on number 1 again Ronald said to himself and he clapp his hand because proud all of member Gryffindor because all of us give our best to win house cup again.

Aonghas felt like his bones a jittering excitement about being able to soon leave the school. Everything he'd brought with him was packed away, ready to make that journey home. He wouldn't even need anyone to go pick him up, he had his apparition licence and was able to do it without anyone else. He would miss this place a little, miss what it could've represented for him if things were different, he wasn't going to miss being responsible for Liusaidh but he knew eventually he would have to be again when she left school and needed a job. He looked to the headmistress as she spoke, nodding along and applauding for the winners. He shot a smile at Elliot as he was the top points for their house and really wondered if he should saw goodbye properly to other boy - maybe tomorrow. With that the food appeared and Aonghas had to admit he was looking forward to his mum's homecooked meals.

Daintree didn't have a lot of plans for going back home, he was thinking mostly about his magical future and what he could do, the last conversation with his new friend Emily had made him think perhaps it was time to leave all that behind, to focus on his magic and to stop denying that it was good. A good force in his life. Dain had plans to talk to his dad about getting money, moving out soon enough and just living in the magical world apart from them, he loved his family but he was almost an adult by magical standards so he needed to start being more of one and he just needed to figure out what the exchange rates were, what his trust fund was like and if buying a house in the magical world was as complicated as in the muggle world. He listened to the head mistress vague but given that they weren't getting the house cup he didn't much care. Eventually the professor just let them feast and so he did.

Jenna was happy that year almost end and soon she will be 5 year. She know what she will be do with her life. She will left New Yourk and she will came to New Zealand and hoped she get a job with Dragons. Mayby next year when she did owls exam she will try be animagus. She always wanted be a white husky dog and she hoped that she do the all things and will be study hard next year. She loved dragons and she can't wait when shcool will be end and she can finaly make her dream come true. Jenna listened words and she was a little dreamy and happy today.

Lysander sat at the table, his chin propped up with his hand as he listened to Professor Alicastell hand out the top point earners for the year. That had been him, once. It had been way easier in first year than it was now. Classes had been a breeze, and he'd had less responsibility to have to worry about. It wasn't so easy now. He picked at his food, not really feeling too hungry. He was looking forward to finally going home, and having a meal his parents had made for a change. Hogwarts food was great. Perfect, even. It just wasn't the same.

Padme had been thinking about doing an exchange year, leaving the school for a little bit and just trying her luck elsewhere, she hadn't quite decided if that really was something she was going to do but she was hopeful if she applied she might get in and then she wouldn't be working on what ifs. She'd just be able to make a decision based on what she had in front of her. Padme let her gaze move to the professor at the front of the hall as they spoke, she applauded for her brother and felt reminded that a start in a new school would enable her to be less under her brother's shadow, though she knew he had never meant for that to be the case. The hufflepuff applauded for the people who'd done so highly and was just glad when they could get to eating.

Going home to her parents felt terrifying to Minnie, she felt like her whole body was shaking in anticipation of what was going to happen. She knew she'd have to make her own way back, she knew her mother wasn't going to speak to her, and the letters from her father had dried up too. She knew that he would be cold to her too, and the thought of having to exist in a place where people hated her, were constantly disappointed in her wasn't going to be nice, but where else did she have to go. She glanced towards Eric, knowing that perhaps if she asked him if she could spend the break with him he might say yes, but he was dealing with his own things and she didn't want to impose...she just knew she had to get a job, she had to keep busy and keep out of the house. She could work on a CV in the train and immediately start looking for something. She heard her own name being called and looked up at the headmistress in some surprise with the fact she was top points. She felt a light blush, all the work in the world wasn't going to change her path now. She couldn't even bring herself to eat any of the food in front of her, so nervous did going home make her.

Ajaccio was buzzing with his usual excitement, he was looking forward to going away, travelling the world a little bit. He wasn't sure where he was due to go, his father had remained pretty hush about it, but he was sure it would be good fun. The teen looked to the head mistress as she began the usually celebrations and despite it not being his house that won Ajax was cheering loudly for Gryffindor he knew they deserved it. He cheered too for the top points for each of the houses. He looked at the food as it appear and as he'd been doing for a few weeks had only grabbed the dishes that he knew didn't contain any meat in them.

Abian hadn't been surprised Gryffindor had won again, they had been ahead i points all year. He applauded for them, smiling over at his sister at the Gryffindor table. Unsurprisingly, Aisa didn't seem particularly thrilled about the win. Professor Alicastell then launched into a speech, and Abian tried his best to pay attention. It seemed like one of the Ravenclaw captains got most points, which somehow also wasn't very surprising. But when he heard Elliot's name, Abian grinned at his co-captain and friend, giving him a thumbs up. He was amazed he'd had the time besides being a prefect and captain. He knew he'd be leaving the team in good hands. Abian was glad when the food arrived, and he quickly started to eat. This would be his final feast at Hogwarts, and it seemed like he should enjoy it as much as he could.

Leia was ready for the school year to be over, she had worked hard, she had won the duelling for her year and was managing well with her classes. She hoped to never hear her name as the top points but she applauded for her brother and the others who had done well. She loved her brother dearly but she didn't want to follow in his footsteps of being so visible about his brains or talent. Leia didn't mind if she too got perfect grades now she was trying. But Leia was already forming her plans for the next year, how she would approach them, what she would do about them. The teen tucked into the food with her mind forming all the things she'd work on over the winter break.

Lumio did not like winter, so the fact as soon as this year was over he'd be going to lovely, sunny, warm southern Italy was the only thing stopping him from already being on the platform for the train. Despite how things had happened with Clara and the nervousness of being out to his family he was eager for the break, Ajax had been chill about it so he could assume that his dad would be too. his mother loved him so she'd be happy too, but he knew some of the older italian family might have some problems. The gryffindor cheered very loudly for his house and for all the ones who'd managed to do way more than he could ever dream in a year at school. The gryffindor with great gusto tucked into dinner with a wide expression on his face, clearly quite happy.

Emma was still mad at Connor, and at Eric too. She had made sure to sit far away from him at the Gryffindor table, as she wanted to try to enjoy this feast. But the fight in the fourth year had her feeling uneasy and frustrated. Would Connor ever come around? Probably not, he had shown them he couldn't see the bad in his brother, and that was just stupid. Emma was a bit moody about it all, also because she hadn't really done that well on her exams and knew her parents would comment on it. She listened to the speech, clapping for Gryffindor and for the top points earners but only a bit half heartedly. It was cool to win, but the Quidditch cup would have been better. She poked at her food with her fork for a bit, then poked at Lysander. "We're gonna hang out over break, right?" She asked her best friend, frowning a bit. Thankfully, Lysander was on her side in the whole Nicole situation, but it still worried her that some friendships seemed to just end so easily. Surely that would never happen to her and Lysander?

@Lysander Summers

Liusaidh was looking forward to the next year, without her pesky brother to keen her in line - though that had failed - she'd be completely free reign to do whatever she wanted and of course she planned to take full advantage of it. She assumed that come the next year she'd have a full slot on the quidditch team and she would just be able to continue having the sort of fun she always did. What did it matter if her father was "so embarrassed" by how she behaved, he'd raised her. Liusaidh didn't bother applauding for anyone but booed for each of the names and the winning house. What swots. She could only imagine the kind of person who wanted to win top points. Good, how sad. She was just pleased when the head mistress FINALLY stopped jabbering on and she could just get to eating.

Branson could admit he hadn't quite made the same splash on to the Hogwarts scene as he had maybe envisioned, but he had carved out a little life for himself in it. One that had a few people he was friendly with a couple of friends and was more focused on getting himself to a point of having read everything in the library. Despite what he'd perhaps thought about for a short moment Bran hadn't brought any books to the final feast and he was seated next to Lily just listening as the head mistress spoke. he knew vague who some of the top points earners were, he had perhaps hoped he might but despite having lost no point he hadn't gone out of his way to gain any and really though he thought it could be cool, he knew he would rather not hear his name. The feast got started and he had to school his awe, the food and the amount of it, never ceased to amaze him.

Flynn wouldn't really say he was stoked about heading home for the break. In fact, he couldn't really say he was looking forward to it in the slightest. That just meant spending more time at the orphanage trying to avoid everyone and getting chewed out constantly by the matrons. Sometimes he did just wish he could say at Hogwarts during the winter like he could during the summer. Sighing as he propped his head upon his hands, elbows on the table, he barely listened to what the Headmistress was saying, only vaguely aware that Gryffindor had won the house cup. He didn't care, he would have much rather it been the Quidditch cup, but he had gone and ruined that for everyone. Eventually, the speech was done and their food arrived, though Flynn only picked at it for a moment before deciding he wasn't hungry. Instead, he stood up, shoved his hands in his pockets, and started to head back to the common room.

Isaiah was kind of bummed out that his first year at the school had already come to an end, although he also thought that being a second year would be so much cooler anyways. He wouldn't be this unknowing first year anymore the next time he'd enter the school. Instead he'd be older and, hopefully, wouldn't be one of the kids to get lost around the school anymore. No, next time he'd be back he would know how everything works which meant so much more time to go explore and have fun. He'd be older, yes, but wiser was very much out of the question and even if he was also happy to go home and see his family again he was dreading having to show his dads his grades. He listened on as the headmistress gave her speech, giving a loud cheer when she mentioned Gryffindor winning the cup, even if he knew he had done very little to help them do so.

You had no idea how pleased Eoin was the school year was finally over. Now he could go home to his family and try and put this weird magical business behind him for a couple of months and go back to pretending he was just a normal kid like everyone else. He was quiet and polite as he listened to the Headmistress, clapping as each name was called out. It would have been cool if he had been up there with the top house point earners, but he supposed not. Not that it was all too important, his grades meant more to him and he was pleased he had done very well. Eoin didn't realize how hungry he was until the food arrived and he didn't hesitate to start grabbing some things for himself so he could chow down.

Natalia had picked her spot at the Slytherin table carefully, sitting near Liusaidh Fergusson in hopes that the older girl would talk to her. She couldn't exactly say the older girl was her ideal friend, but it was the best connection to another pureblood she had. But the girl didn't seem to pay any attention to her, or to anything really. Natalia listened quietly to the headmistress' speech, applauding politely and trying to ignore Lusaidh's rude booing. As the meal appeared, Natalia decided it was on her to start conversation. "Oh hello Liusaidh," she said as she cut her food into small pieces. "I didn't see you there." She said, giving the girl a polite smile. "Are you excited for break?"

@Liusaidh Fergusson

Ivy was fairly pleased with how the year had gone. She had gotten the grades she wanted, even if she hadn't gotten the recognition she had hoped for. But she knew if she worked harder next year, she would be seen as the star student she was. It was a little annoying when she realized she hadn't gotten most points for Gryffindor, and Ivy pointedly didn't clap. She crossed her arms and looked away. After the speech was done and the food appeared, Ivy noticed Flynn North stood up. "Wait, where are you going?" She asked him without pausing to think, raising her voice enough to be heard by him. She immediately wished she hadn't. Their last interaction hadn't exactly gone well. But... well, walking away at a feast was frankly bizarre behavior, especially when their house had won

@Flynn North

Elliot felt more weight to the end of this year than he ever had. Gryffindor had wiped the floor with all the other houses again, but Elliot still felt the weird mix of pride and mortification as Professor Alicastell announced he was Hufflepuff's highest points earner this year. He kept a tight grip of Alice's hand even as the feast got started, not wanting to let her go any earlier than he really had to, despite plans to see her over the break, but catching Aonghas' eye he had to pause. "So uh. Is this the last time I'll see you officially?" He asked his roommate, giving him a sheepish smile. He was still oddly melancholy to know Aonghas had planned to drop out after this year, but he'd been so caught up about Alice's impeding graduation he'd not had a chance to see if Aonghas still intended to carry on with it. @Aonghas Fergusson

Poppy had purposely chosen to sit around people she didn't know. She knew Iris wasn't mad at her but she was tired of it all and just wanted to eat her dinner in peace. She was looking forward to going home more than ever. She missed the quiet comfort of her parents, and felt the most homesick she had been in years probably. It was frustrating that the year hard started off fine, good even but the last few weeks seemed to have tainted all of it. Things had been so tense and none of it had really been her fault. She looked up when Gryffindor's house cup win was announced and clapped as the top students were called out. She usually looked forward to feasts but now she just wanted to go home.
