Open Y37 End of Year Feast

Simon didn't care for the theatrics of the end of the year feast and waited impatiently for the headmistress to finish her speech. He rolled his eyes when Gryffindor won the house cup yet again and was starting to wonder if the whole thing was rigged. His jaw tightened slightly when Minnie was announced as the winner of top points and he wanted to roll his eyes. She was this accomplished yet still insisted she wasn't the smartest person in school. But maybe if he understood that kind of dedication he wouldn't be facing his constant disappointment. As tedious as he found the feast part of him wished it wouldn't end. He did not want to go home. Simon didn't want to stay at school either but here at least he didn't have to deal with his parents or Caleb, and he could keep his distance from Lila and her fretting. But having a pleasant holiday was apparently too much to ask for.

Gryffindor had lost the Quidditch cup by a hair, but they'd absolutely crushed the house cup. Sully was beaming as he joined his housemate at the Gryffindor table, admiring the red strewn hall as Professor Alicastell officially dubbed them the winners for yet another year. "Whoo!! Gryffindor!" Sully hollered, leaping to his feet to applaud along with the rest of the school. He reached over just enough to throughly ruffle Lysander's hair when he spotted him sitting with Emma before sitting back down, keen to dig into his food so he could get back home. He'd gotten word earlier than his little brother had just gotten his letter and while Sully was a bit disappointed not to be the only wizard in the family now, he couldn't wait to spend the entire break teaching René everything he knew. @Lysander Summers

Sydney's year had been lackluster at best and repeatedly irritating at worse. Brooke was still hovering around her at every moment, even now, Sydney noted, giving her sister a dirty look when she caught her looking at her from further up that table. Gryffindor had won the house cup again, which would make sense, they probably were the only house consistently stupid enough to buy into all that points crap. Ava was leaving too and Sydney could count on three fingers the people in her own house she could tolerate. "This is all a load of crap, let us eat and leave already," Sydney said grumpily as the end of year speeches were wrapped up, giving Simon a nudge since she was sure he agreed. @Simon Thorne

Nikko had mixed feelings about going home. He missed his parents, and the inn, and the beach, but he was surprised by how sad he felt about leaving school. He remembered how nervous he had been his first year and how he couldn't wait to get away. Comfortable was the last thing he expected to feel about school and it made him nervous. But he was briefly distracted when Gryffindor was announced as the winner of the house cup. He cheered with the rest of his house, and it made the sting over losing the quidditch championship a little lighter. Nikko started to zone out as the headmistress started to list off all the top point earners. He knew he wasn't even close to making that list. He was starting to get hungry by the end and was relived when it was finally time to eat. Going home would be fine, even if it meant he couldn't practice for a few months.

Flynn had been hoping to just slip out of the great hall without any issue, but, apparently, his luck was not that good. A rather familiar voice called out to him and Flynn stopped in his tracks, giving a heavy sigh as he turned his head. "I'm not hungry," was his rather plainly offered response. There was no point in just sitting there awkwardly if he wasn't going to eat anything. And, besides, he didn't really think it was any of Ivy's business where he was going, either.

@Ivy Ashworth

Nicole had never been happier for a year to be over. Taking her seat at the Slytherin table, she did her best to disappear behind her own hand, hiding her face in her palm until it was time to eat. After the mess with Eric, finding out how two-faced half her school year was, and generally making a fool of herself, Nicole wanted nothing more to just curl up at home with her mum and her cat and pretend this year never happened. Hopefully by next year, everything will have blown over already and she could just forget Eric or Connor Holland ever existed.

Delilah did her best to sit still as Headmistress Alicastell addressed school. She was relived to be done with the year and was looking forward to a quiet holiday away from her crowded dorm. Or maybe not so quiet since she would probably be in charge of looking after her little brother most of the time. But she wouldn't have to think about lessons, and that would be enough. Her year had been fine, most things considered but she couldn't help the sinking feeling in her stomach from taking over as she had somehow done something wrong or forgetting something important. Her grades had been fine and she attended her club meets, she even hung out with her friends but some how it didn't feel like enough. Delilah rested her chin in her hands as the Gryffindor started to cheer, they had won again and she tried to find Ivy amongst them with no luck. She sighed when it was finally time for dinner. She was more hungry then she expected so she ate quickly. She didn't want to be here longer than she had to.

Ivy frowned at Flynn, taking him in for a moment. It sounded like a dumb reason to leave, but she supposed it wasn't any of her business. Ivy huffed a bit, then shrugged. "You know, we're celebrating our win too." She said, gesturing to the decorations. "And... saying goodbye, I guess." She added. "But alright, go ahead then." She added, wondering why she cared where Flynn went. If he wanted to sulk on his own in the dorms then that was his choice.

Indi wasn't looking forward to going home. She missed her mom a little but it would be so boring in comparison. How was she supposed to go back to her normal life after being at a school full of magic? She also thought it was totally unfair that they couldn't use magic outside of school. Why stop there? They might as well confiscate their wands at the end of every year. Indi had taken extra care to sit as far away from Natalia as she could. She was already in a bad mood and the last thing she wanted to deal with was her. She rolled her eyes when Gryffindor won and of course they were obnoxious about it. At least Slytherin had won the quidditch cup or whatever. She listened to the names of the top points earners and payed extra attention to the names, and she decided she would try her best to get on that list next year.

Samantha had been shocked but also not surprised at the fact that the year had gone by so quickly. She was a little sad that she was gonna leave Hogwarts for a bit, as she was going to miss her friends but defiantly not the school workload. Samantha sat at the Hufflepuff table listening patiently to the Headmistress and applauded to those who did well this year. The girl wouldn't admit it, but she just wanted to eat, and the headmistress was taking way too long to speak. The Hufflepuff sighed in relief when they could finally eat.

Ryan felt like this year had rather passed him by. He'd been caught up in his own reading and experiments and had barely noticed each semester ending. Nicole told him he'd have a better grasp of time if he actually paid attention to their exam schedule, but he found it hard to really care about things like exams. The stuff he liked to read about was so much more interesting anyway. Though speaking of his sister, Ryan leant awkwardly out of his seat, trying to see if he could spot her at the Slytherin table. She didn't often share her problems with him, he knew, he wasn't a very good listener, but even he could tell she'd been upset this semester. She was probably just as keen to get home as he was for once.

Issac's year had actually been okay. No, wait, scratch that, his year had been boring. Issac couldn't believe what he was saying but he was actually excited to go home and hang out with his brother. Hogwarts had been boring for him this year and he couldn't wait to get out of here. Issac leaned on his hand zoning in and out of the headmistresses' speech. He just wanted to eat and leave. "Can she please hurry up" Issac muttered and sighed to himself as she continued to speak. He was finally happy once the speech was over and they could finally eat.

Valencia wasn't going to admit it, but she did enjoy her year of Hogwarts, however, she was just really excited to go home. She still hated the magical part of this whole thing. She absolutely had no idea how this magical stuff worked, or how it was even real. But she was absolutely pleased that she was going home. The young Ravenclaw had missed her mother's cooking and her father's baking. This magical stuff was just confusing and she was just ready to leave.

Kas had his feet up on the bench, leaning against Freya as the end of year speech got underway. He clapped idly along, glancing over at the Gryffindor table as they were announced the cup winners again, trying to see if he could spot Michael in the revelry. Or Eric. It'd been a weird year for sure, and Kas wasn't entirely sure how he felt about everything, but he was looking forward to wasting several weeks lurking around the Menagerie again so he hoped Lysander was ready for the company.

Lauren had been somewhat happy that the headmistress was gonna help her. But she was nervous as well since the Ministry would be involved. Lauren had never thought of what was gonna happen and she felt guilty to her sisters and in some way for what would happen to her parents. Although they hurted her very much, they were still her parents. And next to that she needed to say goodbye to her best friend. He was not returning next year, so it would be an lonely one she figured. Although she would go to Bryce, she was glad she didn't had to return home. But relax she was never. The blonde found Aonghas and smiled shortly to him, she needed to inform that she was not gonna go with him. She was so thankfull to the Fergussons. She heard Elliot speaking to Aonghas and waited until he was finished. And touched Aonghas his arm shortly but felt sad. '' I'm gonna miss you so much.'' She almost felt tears in her eyes. He was so important to her. She ignored the cheers from the Gryffindor table, since the house cup didn't mattered to her.
@Elliot Briar @Aonghas Fergusson

The joy at the Gryffindor table was for real. They hadn't won the quidditch cup, but they did won the house cup for three years in a row. And he had worked hard for it. Noel was glad the OWLS were over and he was pleased with the results. He had work hard for it. He took an seat close to Sully and smiled. Noticing Lysander and some more. He cheered as Gryffindor was as winner declared and glad to see the decorating red. '' WOO GO GRYFFINDOR!'' Noel than said loud with an grin on his face. The brown haired boy than looked at his friend. '' Where is your soulmate?'' He than asked him with an grin meaning Chloe ofcourse.

Tyler had been sitting next to Simon, listening quietly to the speech and waiting for the food. He was aware of Sydney on Simon's other side, but had been ignoring her until he heard her speak. He wondered idly if she had any idea how annoying she was to listen to. The food appeared, and Tyler looked past Simon to give her a slight smile. "Well, you could leave already, if you insist." He said as he put some food on his plate.

Brooke was in a bad mood, but years of proper dinners with her parents had trained her to never show it. She smiled at her housemates, clapping politely as the top points and house cup winner was announced, even if she felt her stomach shrink as she heard not only was she not top for Slytherin, but that another first year had won this year. And with Gryffindor winning, Brooke felt like she'd somehow managed to lose out to Ivy as well this year, even if Ivy couldn't exactly fully claim Gryffindor's house cup win. Allowing herself one sorry sigh, Brooke glanced down the table looking for Sydney, feeling abashed when her sister simply glared at her. Self-loathing moment over, Brooke picked up her fork as dinner appeared. This would be the last year she spend feeling sorry for herself. It was time to pull herself up and put in the work so it was her name and her house being called out next year.

Liusaidh was eating with some gusto, as she always tended to, she had been a little confused as to why the Natalia girl had sat near her, but given that at least she was pureblood she wasn't going to say anything about it. "Aye sure," she said with a fake smile, "Aye ah ahm, cannae wait tae see the wee bairn and spend time wae ma family, what about ye?" she said. "Ye should ask yer da if youse can come round or something, we're lacking people tae dae proper quidditch games," She was sure that Natalia's family would probably not want to turn down an invite. "Ah can get ma da tae dae a proper invite or somethin' and ah imagine ye'll be comin' tae my brother's wedding?" She wouldn't mind a little company at it really.
@Natalia Novak

Tilly could not wait to go home. She sat at the Hufflepuff table, trying not to draw too much attention to herself. The girl ate with less enthusiasm than she usually did. While the house elves were excellent cooks and made delicious meals, she found herself with an even stronger appetite for her dad’s food. And maybe, just maybe, the teasing about her body, the fight, and the gossip had gotten to her. She couldn’t wait to see her parents and little sisters, and not to have to think about the school or its inhabitants for a while.

Aonghas smiled a little at Elliot and gave a half shrug, "Well, last time ye'll see me as a student," he said, "Ah'd no mind if ye came tae the weddin'" he shrugged, he knew that Elliot hadn't really gotten why he was doing this, or still intending to go through with this, but he was quite eager for it to be done and gone. Lauren sitting with him was the only regret he perhaps had. he hadn't done enough for her, in another life this could've been entire different, but there should be no dwelling on what could've been. "You too," He put his arm around Lauren giving her a half hug and smiled. "Its no goodbye fae-ever, just ye know a wee goodbye fae now." He said to her and looked a little towards Elliot too.
@Elliot Briar @Lauren Davenport

Natalia perked up a bit as Liusaidh spoke to her, and she smiled. "I'm happy to spend time with my family as well." She said. "Though I don't have as many siblings as you, just the one sister." She said, her smile turning into a bit of a grimace as she thought of Isadora. She was sure she had driven both their nanny and their mother up the wall in her absence, and that was something Natalia definitely didn't miss. It didn't escape her notice that Isadora was a lot more like Liusaidh, which was probably why the girl's attitude rubbed Natalia the wrong way. Not that she would ever show that. "Oh! I would love to come visit." She said, knowing even as she did that she sounded overly eager. "I could play Quidditch." She said quickly. "And an invite to the wedding would be lovely as well." She said, glancing over at the Hufflepuff table to see if she could spot Liusaidh's brother. "He is marrying Katia Hensel, right?" She asked, though she was sure she had heard her parents talk about the match before. She wasn't entirely sure if her parents had been invited to the wedding officially or not, but now that she had gotten an invitation from Liusaidh she was sure her family would be welcome. That would definitely something to make her parents proud.

@Liusaidh Fergusson

Another year was over and Skylar couldn't believe how quickly it was all going. She would be a third year next year, which meant she'd take a bunch of new classes, be able to participate in the Duelling Tournament and try out for the Quidditch Team again. She was still unsure about which classes to take, but she was sure she'd take Care of Magical Creatures. Finally, after 2 years of waiting, she'd get to be around animals again, which was definitely one of the things she'd missed the most when she'd come to Hogwarts from her home on a farm. She grinned as the Headmistress announced Gryffindor as the winner for the most House Points, and clapped when the Top Points Earners were announced. Then all that was left was to tuck into her food and enjoy it before she'd have to head home for the year.

Eric only came to the feasts for the food, and even that wasn't all that tempting tonight. He'd been avoiding big crowds ever since his outburst at Nicole, because it felt like everywhere he went, people were whispering about him. But missing out on the feast felt an awful lot like admitting defeat, so here Eric was, grumpily listening to the speech. A small smile appeared on his face when the headmistress said Minnie had won most points overall, and he looked over at he Ravenclaw table in case he could see her reaction. But it was difficult to spot her at the busy table. Then the food arrived, and Eric piled some onto his plate and began to eat. He tried to block out the annoying conversations around him, wondering for the umpteenth time why Gryffindors had to be so loud.

Sawyer stretched, suddenly feeling exhausted now that the train home was so close. He'd managed his homesickness a lot better this year, but he still found himself missing his family terribly the closer the end of semester got. He was unsurprised to hear Minnie announced as top points winning, clapping for her loudly, though it was a shame it hadn't been enough to Ravenclaw to beat out Gryffindor. Sawyer supposed he couldn't complain, it wasn't like he'd been doing well enough in class to contribute. Digging into his dinner, Sawyer smiled over at Valencia sitting nearby, nodding hello at her. "Hey, you ready for the holidays?" @Valencia Addington
