Hi all, so the situation is as follows.
My dog, Edel, went missing on the 14th December and has since been picked up by a local pound who passed her on to a rescue. We’ve tried to contact them but to no avail. We're trying to start a dialogue with them so that we can get Edel back into our care as she is very sick with a life expectancy of less than 12 months, all of this moving around from facility to facility is likely to be very distressing for her. For three days myself and my family have been trying to get these people from the rescue to contact us and give us the information we are requesting about getting her back, however they have steadfastly refused to give us any information. They've even been in contact with other friends who have messaged them and told them they have contacted us, which is untrue, as our friends know. One friend in particular had at least five messages from this rescue, which is a whole lot more than we got from them. They even gave this friend way more details about Edel's situation, over giving us anything at all.
Luckily, I happen to have a friend in the media who has agreed to help out. She makes no promises, but we are hoping that this will allow us to be seen as people that won't allow anyone to tread on us and steal our family member from us. She had been a part of our family for many, many years, there are a few on the site who have even met our dog Edel, and can attest that she is very much a beloved member of our family.
So that's the situation as it is now. I'll keep you updated of any developments.
