The Stands

Usually, Emma went dressed in Gryffindor colors when she headed to these matches, but today was different. Emma's own house wasn't playing, but her brother's was. Lars was only an alternate, but he was still a part of the team. And on top of that, his ex boyfriend was on the other team, so Emma definitely couldn't root for Hufflepuff. Decked out in Iris' Ravenclaw things, as well as blue face paint, Emma made her way to a seat in the stands. "Woo, go Lars!" She yelled at the small figure that was her brother, even if he would probably not actually play. Nor would he be able to hear her cheers, but Emma didn't care. She was here to cheer for him, so that's what she would do.

Lysander rocked up to the stands sporting Hufflepuff colours, consisting mostly of yellow flowers painted on his face, and a scarf he'd borrowed from Wendall, while his rat nestled itself in his shirt pocket. Dedicidely un-yellow in colour, as much as he'd considered trying to charm its fur. The black worked well enough, he thought. He searched for a seat, pausing momentarily to be distracted by a rowdy house-elf, and after eventually spotting Emma, he quickly sat down next to her. "Hey!" He greeted with a cheerful grin. "Someone isn't happy about the teams." He continued, lowering his voice to a whisper and pointed a finger at the oddly-coloured elf. Was she always green, or did she paint herself to support a house that wasn't playing? He hadn't thought about whether the elves favoured any teams before. "Which one is Lars?" He asked, searching the blue-clad figures taking to the sky.

Emma looked up as Lysander joined her, frowning disapprovingly at the Hufflepuff colors he was wearing. But she was quickly distracted as Lysander pointed at the nearby house elf, who Emma had managed not to notice yet. "Me neither." She admitted. "It's much more exciting when Gryffindor plays. Though then I can't watch with you, I guess." She said, smiling as she nudged her friend. "Oh, he's the one on the bench." She said, pointing at him. "But I'm sure he'll get to play." She added with a determined nod. "He's great, and Hufflepuff is totally going down!"

There seemed to be a lot of noise coming from the stands already, considering the game hadn't really started yet, but Kas supposed maybe people were just trying to get all their cheering done early incase the game was a quick one gain. He was happy when Freya joined him, quietly relieved she'd foregone the facepaint this time. "Hey, your fashion sense is as impeccable as ever, I see," He said blandly, flicking one of the ties braided into Freya's hair. Kas tilted his head when he spotted the first year he'd valiantly tutored last semester join them, feeling a slow smile grown. "Oh no we're very serious. Quidditch is practically a blood sport. Sometimes the bludgers don't hit enough players and turn on the crowd," He said gravely. @Freya Song @Lucas Fletcher

Normally, Eric would have skipped the match, especially as Gryffindor wasn't playing. But it wasn't like Eric really cared about his house, so even Gryffindor playing wouldn't really interest him much. But he remembered how hurt Minnie got during her last game, and somehow, he had found himself here to watch her fly. It was idiotic, as he knew there was nothing he would be able to do to help her if she did get hurt again. Last time he'd barely done anything, and it had been unnecessary to stick around when it was clear that Minnie had other Ravenclaw girls to rely on. But still, here he was, watching the stupid game. He had made sure none of the boys from his dormitory were nearby as he found a spot in the stands. With his arms crossed, he ignored the yellow and blue clad people around him, focusing on the match quietly.

Freya scrunched her nose indignantly when Kas touched her hair. "Thank you, I stole the ties myself," she said, matching his neutral tone. What was the point of being seen at a Quidditch game if not to be a fashion icon? She moved forward to get a better look at the first year who had joined them, recognising him from her house. She didn't keep an eye on the baby Hufflepuffs or anything, but if it just so happened that if they needed anyone to be pushed into the lake, Freya would gladly assist. She bit down a smile as Kas spoke. She loved it when he played along. "Yup, knocks them down like bowling pins." Freya said somberly, half leaning over Kas to speak to the younger student. "The teams aren't trying to beat each other, their goal is to stop the balls beating us." @Lucas Fletcher @Kasim Safir

Lucas frowned at Kas' words, then crossed his arms as the girl also piled onto what he said. He may have been young and new to all this, but they were obviously making stuff up to scare him. He made a point of rolling his eyes and looking at the field. "Sure." He mumbled, frustrated that they thought he'd be stupid enough to believe that. The bludgers were scary, and were kind of were what withheld him from being certain he wanted to play. He watched the game in fascination, cheering when the Hufflepuff seeker caught the snitch. It looked awesome as he did it, and Lucas thought he was probably very cool.

Kas nodded along with Freya, miming the scatter of pins with his hands, face straight and serious. It didn't seem like Lucas was particularly impressed with them though, but he was more fun to mess with than watching the chasers score back and forth. "Okay, but don't say we didn't warn you," Kas said, turning his gaze back to the game when it seemed like the Hufflepuff seeker might be tailing the snitch. "Oh hey, the game's over again," He said flatly, still clapping when Hufflepuff was declared the winner. At least the game had lasted longer this time. And maybe their house could have a lame party they could crash later too. "Can you crash your own party?" He mused to Freya, already eying the crowd around the stands to plan a way out of here. @Lucas Fletcher @Freya Song

Katy watched the game intently. Her eyes were mostly on Elliot, as she was thrilled to see him get to play properly. She felt like she could practically see the frustration coming off the two seekers as they zipped around the field, even if there was no way she could really see their faces. Katy cheered loudly as Hufflepuff scored, shaking her pompom and tried not to be too bitter whenever Ravenclaw got their hands on the quaffle.
She'd been have hoping she might spot Emilia in the crowd here so they could talk some more, but once the game had started Katy had forgotten to keep looking. Katy had been watching some of the bludgers closely, hoping they continued to keep their distance from her cousin when the crowd started to murmur and she swerved her focus over to Elliot, cheering as he seemed to shoot off across the pitch. He seemed like he was going to collide with some of the stands, but when Katy noticed he'd managed to catch the snitch she stopped caring, leaping to her feet with a yell. "Yeah! Go Elliot!!" She shouted, a proud smile splitting her face.

Three of his best friends were playing today, so he supposed it was on him to support them. Though he would be rooting for Leda and Sapphire, he was also hoping Jake didn't get hurt or anything, but he knew he would understand if he didn't stand there cheering. He'd never really gone to the games before, so he just sort of sat there. He wasn't wearing anything outlandish and he had his robes on which identified him as a Slytherin, and as a prefect with his badge and the parselmouth badge as well, that Analei had helped him make. The game hadn't started, but he waved down at them, not that they could probably see him from way up here.

Ava skipped up into the stands. It had been ages since she had actually gone to a quidditch game. She spotted one of Sapphire's friends and moved to sit with him. "Hi, Sapph's friend!" She greeted with a bright smile, plopping down next to him with the Gryffindor scarf she had... erm... borrowed from Vader. She spotted Christian down with the others and jumped up, waving down at him excitedly before sitting back down again. "I'm Ava! You're Elsie's brother too, we cuddle when it's cold." She told Sapphire's friend, turning to him with bright blue eyes dancing with mirth.

Zennon hadn't really been paying attention, if he had, he might have noticed the Ravenclaw before she almost scared him. "Merlin!" He sat back a little, having been off in his own world a bit. Things hadn't really been going well for him, but he was at the game to support his friends, so he had to play nice, probably. The girl kept talking and he blinked at her as she said she cuddled with Elsie... when it was cold. Now, he knew Elsie was bi, but this was new. "I'm sorry, you what?"

Ava's eyes widened and she couldn't help but giggle. "Sorry," She apologized, not meaning to scare him. "I'm Avaria Lockwood, Elsie is my roommate! It gets really cold in the towers sometimes and she lets me crawl in bed with her," She clarified, swinging her feet. She spotted Sapphire and waved energetically before giggling. "Sapphy is so cool," She cooed, swinging her feet again.

Zennon wasn't sure that the girl's explanation was much better, he wasn't sure he should be hearing it, he wasn't even sure he wanted to know what his sister got up to in the dorms after lights out, so he just smiled at her awkwardly and moved slightly away. Anyone watching would think he was looking for a better angle. This girl was weird. "She's one of my best friends," he told her, looking down at the unmistakable mane of hair on his best friend. "It'll be a good game, I'm sure." He had three best friends in the game... actually, all of his best friends played... and three of them were Captains, how did that happen?

Elio was more than ready for the game. He hadn’t been out into the pitch since the time he’d got stuck in the hoop during tryouts, but he still liked to watch the game even if he wasn’t playing and besides, he needed to make sure that Gryffindor knew that they had his support. He spotted Ava and Zennon up ahead. Joining them with a grin he knew he didn’t look too out of place with his Gryffindor merch, but it was the large banner he dame prepared with that was most difficult to carry. He propped it up ion the seat beside him, ready to show off everything he could when the game started.

Chrys followed Elsie up to the stands. He was supposed to be meeting Rowan too, but she'd decided at the last minute that she wasn't attending, he wasn't sure why, but Elsie had told him not to meddle, so he'd taken her word for it. He waved out at Luna as he watched her on her broom, laughing at the way the wind made her face go all weird. "Woo! LUNA!" He called, glancing briefly at Elio decked out in his Gryffindor attire before moving closer to Elsie who rolled her eyes at him. There was a bit of a weirdness now between him and Elio that he didn't understand, since no one seemed to want to tell him anything.

Elsie wandered up to the stands and spotted Zennon, Chrys dragging behind her. She was a bit worried about Rowan, but her sister was resilient... usually, she was sure she would be fine. She winked at Elio as she passed before sitting nearer to Ava and Zennon, missing their brief conversation entirely. "Wait... who am I rooting for?" She asked, realising she actually had no friends out there playing.

Elio turned to see two more people join the stands, grinning at both of them. He'd barely even looked at Chrys since their last..meeting.. although since the chat with Rowan he was feeling oddly at ease with everything. "Hey Els, Gryffindor, obviously," he said, offering her a little red flag and trying not to look at Zennon. The prefect unrolled his banner, raising it as high as he possibly could. He was much taller than he was last time he'd come to a Quidditch game but it was a nostalgic feeling, and he cleared his throat before letting his hard work pay off, "GO GO GRYFFINDOR. YOU'RE THE ONES THAT WE ADORE. GO GO GRYFFINDOR. SHOW THOSE SNAKES THAT YOU HAVE MORE."

Aleks wanted to go to her last Quidditch game because she wouldn't be here next year. She'd made up her mind about dropping out. She'd already talked to Chrys about it and he seemed fine, so she hoped it would go over smoothly with her dad. She would be 17 though, so he didn't really have a say. As she got to the stands she waved at Zennon and messed up Chrys' hair before moving to sit with a younger Gryffindor boy who was handing a flag off to Chrys' friend Elsie. She dropped into the seats beside him as he started chanting. "HOPE YOU HAVE ONE OF THOSE FOR ME!" She called to him, excited about his excitement.

Olivia was conflicted heading into the Gryffindor v Slytherin match, her house loyalties were coming up against her family. Did she root for her aunt in her first game as starting seeker? Or did she cheer on he house and hope they crushed Gryffindor like usual. Olivia suspected her decision would have been different if Sierra played for a different house, but Olivia couldn't root for the Slytherin's biggest rival. "GO SLYTHERIN,"

Everything seemed to be happening at once. She brightened upon seeing Elsie but stuck her tongue out at Chrysander. He made Nyxy cry. Still, Ava scooted closer to Elio and grinned at Elsie. "Looks like everyone is Gryffindor today!" She giggled, hoping she was right that this was Vaders scarf and not Elio's. She hadn't mixed up her scarf stealing did she? She hoped not. She cheered as Christian caught the goal Jasper threw, before giggling and moving to find Sapphire in the sky. "Oh!" She declared, holding up a giant basket of muffins. "I brought snacks!" She declared to everyone around her.

Onyx was running a little late. By the time he arrived with his little Slytherin flag the stands were full. He had his hood up, not really wanting to draw attention. He spotted Ava, and walked over. It wasn't until he grabbed a muffin that he saw Chrysander behind her. He ducked his head, kissing the girls forehead quickly before moving past the group to sit alone a ways further down the benches, nibbling his muffin and waving his little flag gently. He tried to keep to himself, not wanting to start anything and just support his sister.

After Elliot's last game, Katy was definitely getting more into this whole Quidditch business. She'd gone the whole nine yards, decked out in red and gold, even convincing Elliot to let her paint a lion on his cheek after he'd agreed to watch the match with her. Well it was an attempt at a lion. A golden smudge. "It'll bring the seeker good luck," She told him when she spotted Elliot picking at it, patting him on the shoulder as they trudged all the way up into the stands. The crowd was already pretty lively, and as the players kicked off, Katy joined them cheering. "YES, COME ON GRYFFINDOR," She hollered once they managed to block Slytherin's first attempt at goal and whooping excitedly when one of the seekers flew in close to the crowd.

While Elliot didn't have any more games, Quidditch season was far from over. He was a little sad that it was another year without Hufflepuff in the finals, but he was still happy to go along with Katy and watch the match, even if it had been a little fun to watch her try to "convince him". He also wouldn't like that he didn't have other motives beyond just enjoying the match. He was determined now to watch the other seekers at school any chance he could, hoping he might be able to learn a thing or two for next year.

Grabbing a seat in the stands and trying not to wince as Katy cheered, Elliot kept his eyes trained on the two seekers as best he could, ignoring the temptation to scratch at Katy's very liberally artist interpretation of a lion on his cheek. It was surprising to see Sierra playing instead of Willow. Elliot had been hopeful to watch Willow in action again after she'd out flown him without breaking a sweat last semester, but he was happy for Sierra to be in the match, and also curious how'd she fair against someone like Leda. The bludgers were already flying and Elliot hissed in tense anticipation when Sierra was able to deftly dodge one, hoping neither of the seekers got taken out today.
