The Stands

Jacob took to the stands wearing a Gryffindor t-shirt. He wasn't there to root for either team. He didn't care who won since he was sure Gryffindor could beat them both. But he was there to do some studying to see how the two teams played with their new players. Each year brought some change to the dynamics of the teams. For Gryffindor, it was a good change. He hoped the other teams weren't having the same success.

Nicole was excited for the first game of the year, shuffling into the stands to find a good spot. After last year she was starting to get a feeling for where the best places to sit were, since being up near the front was usually too harrowing with bludgers and players zipping around to actually focus on the game. Grabbing a spot a few rows back, Nicole cheered as the game started up, Slytherin already grabbing position. The Quidditch players were all really cool and Nicole fussed with the green and silver ribbons she'd tied around her pony tail as the shot across the pitch towards the Ravenclaw hoops.

Since talking to Katy, Elliot had to admit he'd been kind of avoiding Lars, using his own Quidditch practice as an excuse, but he wasn't about to miss the first game of the year. He'd and Lily had grabbed the sign she'd made for Lars in the previous year and made their way to the stands, cheering and yelling for Lars as the players entered the pitch, even though Lars likely wouldn't be playing today.

Slytherin immediately grabbed position and Elliot held his breath as they lined up to score, letting out a sigh of relief at Simon was able to block the shot. It was going to be interesting when Simon graduated next year, since the chances of Lars playing regularly as the 'Claw keeper were almost certain.

Possession seemed to change hands a few times and Nicole waited with bated breath each time the chasers approached the hoops. There didn't seem to be a lot of activity from the snitch yet, so Nicole's full attention was on the quaffle. She let out a whoop when Jasper managed to score, feeling even more involved since she actually knew that player. "Woo, go Jasper!" She called, punching the air.

Tinny was probably breaking the rules by sneaking out onto the stands but felt that she didn't really have a choice. All her life she had wanted to see an actual Quidditch match and now that she was a Hogwarts House Elf, she had a chance to see lots of them. After quickly cleaning the Slytherin Common Room, Tinny had found a Slytherin banner that was a similar shade of green as she was.

With a bottle of Butterbeer and the Slytherin Banner draped like a cloak around the small Elf. Tinny snuck out into the stands and began watching the match excitedly. "So exciting!" Tinny squeeked into her Butterbeer as she watched the students fly around on their broomsticks. She figured as long as she kept a low profile, nobody would mind her watching the match and she would have time to get the rest of her duties done.

She didn't want the Kitchen Elves to find out since they were already mean to her because of her green skin and the fact that she had already had four previous families before coming to Hogwarts. Tinny knew she was a bit different from the other elves but as she watched the Quidditch Match and took a gulp of her drink she didn't care. One of the players had the ball and from Tinny's point of view appeared to have scored a goal.

She was so excited that she leapt onto the bench knocking her banner and dropping her drink as she shouted "QUIDDITCH!!". Looking around she noticed the mess she had created and that her cover was likely blown. "Oh! A mess, don't worries Tinny is a good house elf and will clean it up right away!" Tinny said as she immediately but slowly began trying to clean the mess as though it was always their and she had simply discovered it.

Abian liked going to the matches he didn't play in. He often saw the other chasers do things he hadn't thought of doing yet, and felt like he learned a lot. Ravenclaw vs Slytherin was an interesting match, especialyl as Slytherin had won the cup last year. He headed into the stands, looking around for any of his friends. He spotted Jacob in a Gryffindor shirt, and headed over to his friend with a grin. "Here to support Gryffindor?" He joked, gesturing to the shirt. He then looked over at the game, Slytherin was in the lead. "Do you look at this differently now as captain?"

Noel went to the stands to see what his brother would make of it with his team. Noel could not wait to play against him. He wore his Gryffindor scarve and found a place and noticed Jacob and smiled to his captain sitting close to him. He talked to a Hufflepuff boy. So Noel went on to look at the game. He grinned for a moment to see that Liam got irritated he could see it. He hadn't hit something yet, and Noel could not wait to rub it in his face. But the game wasn't over yet.

With everything going on, Wendall was glad that Quidditch was happening as it would help to take his mind off things. In his bag he had a few samples of candy that he wanted to show @Lysander Summers if he came too, and as a proper player, Wendall hoped he would. The second year was wrapped up warm, watching the game from the front of the stands and clapping whenever something of note happened. So far, he was glad that Leda hadn't been hit by a bludger, and that Slytherin seemed to be doing a bit better. It was always more tense when his own house played his best friends, but for now he just hoped his cousin would win her game too.

"Always" Jacob replied with a grin at his friend, Abian. He slid over, forcing the person beside him to move too. He patted the seat, hoping Abian would join him. It was always fun to have company to watch the games, and this one was pretty fun. "Yeah" he nodded, his gaze falling on the game for a second as the Ravenclaw Seeker took another bludger hit. "I watch it trying to imagine what kind of plays I'd have Gryffindor do. It's still fun to watch but it's different now" he explained. He saw Noel looking his way and waved at his teammate.

Iris knew that the odds of Lars playing were slim, but she would still be here to support him during this match. She smiled at Wendall as she spotted him, but went to head over to her friend Nicole instead to watch the match with her. It surprised her a little to hear her cheer for one of the chasers. "You know him?" She asked her curiously, glancing away from the game to look at her friend.

@Nicole Fisk

Abian gratefully took a seat next to Jacob, giving his friend a smile. "I can imagine." He said, looking back over at the game as he saw one of the chasers steal the quaffle from the opposite team. "It's gotta be hard. Strategies and stuff, I bet it takes a lot of work." He laughed a little. "Brotherhood has been challenging enough, and we don't have to win anything." He commented, glancing at the younger boy Jacob waved at. He vaguely recognized him, was he in Brotherhood too? He looked back at the game. "We'll be playing against each other next time." He said to Jacob.

Ajaccio didn't often go to the quidditch matches, but he'd decided to head there that day. The ravenclaw was a little late, but he reached the stands and glanced around. He noticed Wendall within the stands and headed over to the boy, "Hey Star," He greeted him as he took the seat next to him. He knew that his house was playing, but Ajax didn't have any particularly loyalties to the house other than just being a part of it, though he had put on a blue bandana in his hair, to keep the fringe from his eyes in the wind. "Whose winning?" he asked looking out to the pitch.

Attending the match had been somewhat of a last minute decision. Eric was bored, and while he had little interest in Quidditch, he could at least watch the game for some entertainment. He leaned back in his seat with some Bertie Botts, looking at the players on the pitch. He had forgotten Minnie played for Ravenclaw somehow, and while he definitely wasn't friends with the girl, it was kinda rough seeing her get hit by bludgers again and again. It pissed him off a little, couldn't they try to hit someone else for once? Or at least give her a bat to defend herself? It seemed unfair to him, but he hadn't made the rules. He spotted Noel a few rows ahead and smirked before tossing a Bertie Botts bean into his hair. He felt pretty pleased as he popped the next one in his mouth.

Athena never really had thought of playing quidditch herself. But she liked watching it and now Slytherin had to play. And Derek was a part of the team ofcourse. The blonde went tot the stands and found a spot in the front where she could see it well. She smiled as the game started and continued. So far it seemed Slytherin was doing a better job, at least the beater than. It looked really painfull being hit twice. But Athena had eyes for Derek, she watched as he followed the other chaser and hoped that Derek would get a shot himself as well.

Noel smiled as Jacob waved at him and he waved back. He than heard the boys talking and smiled he could not wait to play his first game. Noel was into the game when the seeker got hit twice and he made a painfull face it was harsh. But it wasn't Liam again, the other beater again. But than he felt something at his head. And felt at his curls he than noticed a bean and turned around. He noticed Eric sitting a few rows above him. Noel put his hands in the air suprisingly. '' Thanks for the candy.'' He than said with a grin and rolled his eyes. Eric was so annoying, but he was not gonna let him ruin this again. And looked back at the game.

Wendall looked over to see one of his closest friends had joined him, probably supporting Ravenclaw's though rather than Leda. "Ajax, look, Minnie's nearly out," he pointed through the air a tiny finger at the Ravenclaw girl. "She keeps getting hit. I think Slytherin are winning but Minnie still has time," the games were always intense, and Wendall was always glad that he wasn't him out on the pitch. "Look what I have," he began rummaging in his bag until he pulled out some paper and a pen. "This stuff is awesome." taking off the lid, he scribbed down the current score, before replacing the cap and stuffing the little piece of paper straight into his mouse, "yoo can eet it," he said with a mouthful of strawberry flavoured sugar. It was the best invention ever, and was going to make taking notes in class much more interesting. The second year offered some to the curly haired boy, hoping he'd find it just as exciting.

Getting to the stands for this game of flying brooms and balls was difficult. It was so far away! She was positive she walked to the store and back quicker at home than it had taken her to get all the way to the pitch and into the stands. She had never seen this game before, but it had balls, so she had to assume it was a bit like football, hopefully, as she could understand that. It did not take Mary Lou very long at all to realise how wrong she was. She suppose she should have known, given there were also brooms involved which she knew were used for flying, she'd been to her first and second lesson, she knew this. But seeing it in action with a bunch of students who clearly were not first years as... absolutely terrifying! Mary Lou squeaked loudly and covered her face with her hands. Brooms narrowly missing colliding with other brooms, at least two different types of ball (some of which seemed to be able to make decisions on their own!) and enough commentary on what was happening with the nearly crashing players and the balls for Mary Lou to completely lose all understanding of anything in front of her. This had clearly been a bad idea. Unsure of what to do, and afraid to actually get up out of her seat now that the game had started, Mary Lou did the only thing she could think of and crawled under the seat of the stands to sob.

Majora had narrowly missed playing on the Slytherin team himself, but there was always next year to try and play again. The first year was at the stands, rooting for his house and joined some of the other students that were already there. The blonde heard a noise though that didn't sound like cheering, and he looked down to see a girl from his class hiding under one of the seats in tears. Part of him wanted to walk to the front and see what was going on, but he couldn't just leave a girl crying on her own. He sat on the seat next to the one she was using as a shield, looking out across the pitch. By the looks of it, the teams were pretty equal, "Ravenclaw's not losing that badly," he commented. He could only assume that what was the issue was. Majora would have been quite happy to see Ravenclaw smashed into the ground, but that wasn't happening either.

Ajaccio looked towards the ravenclaw seeker, spotting her in the crowd, "She looks pretty hurt," he commented, "How many times can she get hit before she's sent off?" the boy wasn't sure, he hadn't been to enough games to know. He looked towards him as he went into the bag, and pulled out what appeared to be candy of some kind. He watched him for a moment before taking a little and eating it slowly, "Thanks," he said, "Who are you supporting? Slytherin?" The boy wasn't sure who the hufflepuff would support when this game was between slytherin and ravenclaw. But the boy had mentioned slytherin was close to winning so he might possibly support them. It didn't really matter to Ajaccio either way. "Have you ever thought about playing?"

"Free," he said, another mouthful of editable paper in his mouth. "She's been hit twice already but Leda hasn't." he updated his friend, watching back out over the game as it progressed. One of the chasers just to score a goal but the keeper was too quick for them. "Yeah. My cousin is one of the Captains," he said proudly, although his smile faulted a little. At least, his cousin that was alive was. Just then, Wendall saw one of the beater smack a bludger straight for the red head, and the second year was calling out her name. It did nothing over the sound of the crowd though, and he winced when he saw it hit her in the side. He shuddered. "No thank you," he replied, flying was never going to be something he'd ever play. "Last time I got on a broom I broke my wrist.. so.." it wasn't a fun experience, although his face lit up once more, "Lysander is on the team though!" he was always glad to talk about the Hufflepuff. "Will you try out one day?" he asked, wondering if any more of his friends would play the game.

Ajaccio nodded in response, three times still seemed like an awful lot, but really, three light hits wouldn't be the same as one hard hit, so it was likely still pretty relative. "Wow! Go Slytherin then" he said, though, it didn't bother him who won out of the two teams. Ajax laughed lightly when Wendall said no to playing, it certainly wasn't something he saw him doing, but Ajaccio could be surprised by his friend. "Ouch, I've broken my wrist before, no fun," he laughed lightly, thinking back upon it. "What position does he play?" Ajaccio thought about it and gave a little shrug, "I tend to get bored of most sports, so I'm not sure, but maybe, it could be fun. I don't mind the dangerous either," Ajaccio followed the players and winced as the ravenclaw seeker was hit again, "Oftt," he couldn't help but say, "Do you think the grounds enchanted to ensure anyone who falls off their broom doesn't hit the ground too hard?"

Charlotte ofcourse went to see Simon playing. He was a keeper for the team and after she had found her spot and watched the game she often cheered his name. It was strange since her own house played. And so when the seeker of ravenclaw was out of the game she was kind of shocked. And now Simon was being transfered to seeker. And Charlotte hold her heart, she didn't want her boyfriend to be hurt and that stupid Sapphire girl would now target Simon for sure. '' GO SIMON!'' Charlotte than screamed to support her boyfriend.

Wendall grinned at Ajax, happy for the support from Slytherin even though technically it probably wasn't the house he should have been supporting given who was playing. "What did you do?" he asked. Wendall had broken a few bones in his time thanks to his lack of coordination. "Lysander plays Beater! I think he had a family member who played Beater too so he's really happy about it," he explained, feeling a need to defend him given that a beater just took out one of the Ravenclaw players and sent her to hospital wing. The second year look at the boy wide eyed. "I.. would hope so." He didn't really want to know what happened if someone fell and it wasn't. Would they even survive? Another girl suddenly shouted nearby, and looking across the pitch he noticed that the Head Boy was now playing the Head Girl. With a little nudge to Ajax, Wendall jumped up. "GO LEDAAA!" he shouted back in retaliation, trying to get louder than the blonde girl.

Nicole was pleased to see Iris join her, even if they would be cheering for opposite teams. She shimmied down the bench so they could sit together in the crowd and grinned when Iris asked if she knew Jasper. It felt pretty cool being on first name basis with some of the team. "Yeah, Jasper's one of the chasers, he just scored," She said proudly. The game continued on with a certain level of chaos, Nicole could barely follow with the bludgers and quaffle flying about. But then the Ravenclaw seeker was taken out and Nicole winced. Even though she wanted Slytherin to win, she didn't think the Ravenclaw seeker was much older than she was and bludger hits always looked brutal no matter what side you were on. @Iris van Houten
