The Stands

The Quidditch game was brutal so far, and Elliot covered his mouth in sympathy when the Ravenclaw seeker took a bludger too many. He felt bad for her, but almost felt even more bad when he realized he was more worried about Lars being subbed into the game. Elliot relaxed more when Lars was put in front of the hoops, hoping he'd be more comfortable there at the very least. And way less likely to be struck by any bludgers. The game continued with the head girl and boy against each other, which was definitely going to be interesting, Elliot splitting his time from keeping an eye on Lars and the seekers as they flew across the pitch.

Tobe-Mae Ellis was a bit unsure of why she was attending a Quidditch game. However, she was sure she would be able to make some new acquaintances while she was here. She waved @Nicole Fisk as she went to take a seat on the farther end of the Stands. She hoped that this would be worth her time, maybe even fun. It wasn't until the game started that Tobe got a bit worried. What were all these things, and why was it going on so quickly? She knew the basics of flying a broom, but she never knew it could be like this. She watched as the girl next to her went underneath her seat, and Tobe, being the kind and caring person she was, decided to follow suit to see if the girl needed any help. "Hey, are you okay? Don't cry..." she told @Mary Lou Prindeou kindly. It was not ladylike to cry so abhorrently.

Lysander had already been watching the match on his own for quite some time before he finally noticed his friend seated further along the stands. He quickly jumped to his feet and shuffled along the rows, while doing his best to pay enough attention to the game so he wouldn't miss anything important. He had to jump over the unoccupied seat next to Wendall to sit down, and waved his hello to Ajaccio on the other side of his friend. "Were you talking about me?" He asked Wendall with a grin. It had been odd to hear his own name while he hadn't been around, though he found he rather liked it. His friend talking about him made him feel particularly special.
@Wendall Layton @Ajaccio Skey

Mary Lou had been surprised when she'd heard someone speaking to her, a boy and she stopped crying long enough to stick her head out through the space between the seats to look up and over at him. "Oh, I don't care about that!" She told him, assuredly, though she wasn't really sure how to tell him what she actually was crying about. "The game is just so... so... crazy!" She eventually said, not really having any other way of addressing it. Magic was scary and the one girl getting hit so often she had to be sent off of the pitch? That never happened back home, least of all because they weren't flying about in mixed teams doing everything together. It was crazy! Mary Lou slid back under the seats then, when another of those balls was thrown in the direction of someone else and she did not want to see it hit its target. "No, I'm not." She told the girl, trying desperately to stop herself from crying. Oh this was so very unbecoming, but it seemed all she had done since she had gotten here was try cry. "I wish I'd never come up here in the first place!"

Wendall jumped out of his skin when he suddenly saw @Lysander Summers beside him, wondering how his Quidditch friend could possibly have managed to miss so much of the game so far. His eyes widened too when Lysander asked if he’d been talking about him, unaware that apparently his voice carried. “Maybe..” he said, a second before a grin appeared on his face. He hoped the Gryffindor didn’t mind but Wendall couldn’t think in that moment why he wouldn’t. Suddenly the whistle blew and the Hufflepuff turned to see that Slytherin had won, and he was instantly amongst part of the group that were cheering. He looked over to the older girl, a happy grin on his face for the first time in weeks, “HAH!” It was only a little friendly competition of course but it was still fun to beat a rival.

Wendall had managed to convince Lysander to lend him his Gryffindor scarf, which the second year now had wrapped over his shoulders as he was waiting for the game to start. He knew he should have technically been rooting for victory to his own house but Wendall didn’t really know anyone on the yellow team. He was grateful that there was a game so soon after the weekend, and it was a much needed distraction with everything else going on in his life. If anyone asked, he would just say he supported both teams. The badger stood up from his seat and waved down to Lysander when he spotted his best friend in the pitch, nervous for him incase he got into any trouble but proud nonetheless. He just had to remember he wasn’t as clumsy as Wendall.

Padme didn't tend to go to quidditch games, they . were busy places and she didn't altogether follow the game, but since Ilija had joined the team and was playing that day, she knew it would be important to go out and support him. That was what girlfriends did...wasn't it? She had worn the few bits and pieces of Hufflepuff clothing that she had and took a spot in amongst the rest of the hufflepuffs. She was watching keenly as the players started arriving. She hoped that Hufflepuff would win, and not just because she herself was a hufflepuff, but since she was sure it would bring Ilija some joy too. "Go Ilija!" she shouted in amongst the rest of the loud crowd, knowing her voice would easily be drowned out by the rest of them.

((Ooc: godmod approved by Rowan cuz IRL busyness and games are quick))

Lily made her way into the stands with Clifton, absolutely terrified over today's game. She had her bag packed already with everything she would need if she had to dash to the hospital wing to see Elliot, or to celebrate victory if he won. She also had her sign with her. She saved a seat next to her for Lars, raising her sign up to show Elliot she was there when she thought she saw him look. She sighed, reaching over to hold Cliftons hand and squeezing it. Elliot would be the main target today, she couldnt help but be scared.

Emma had debated going to this match a little, as she was kind of upset with the Gryffindor captain for not letting her be on the team. But in the end, there was no way she wouldn't support Lysander and Fleur. So here she was, all decked out in Gryffindor colors, including face paint. She made her way into the stands with a big Gryffindor flag she was waving around, and spotted a familiar boy nearby. Emma frowned as she noticed Wendall was in a Gryffindor scarf, and she made her way over to him. "Why aren't you supporting your house?" She asked him with a frown.

@Wendall Layton

Wendall was grinning towards the pitch when he heard someone talking to him and he peered up to see Emma. “I am, but I’m supporting Gryffindor too,” he said with an assured smile, waving one end of his scarf at the red head. He moved over a little to give Emma some space if she wanted to stay, although for all he knew she had other lion friends to hang out with. “Do you think they’ll win?” He asked, peering back over the rails as he waited eagerly for the game to start.

Monty didn't watch every single Quidditch match, but today he needed the distraction. He sat down with his fellow staff members, exhausted from the climb. When had he gotten so out of shape? The lack of sleep likely wasn't helping, but he knew he needed to take up some form of regular exercise. He wasn't as young as he used to be.

Lars was so nervous for Elliot, and his heart was pounding as he headed into the stands. He wanted a good spot, where he could see his boyfriend play up close. Though he also thought it would be extra terrifying if he got hit by a bludger and Lars would see it up close. He spotted Lily sitting with Clifton, and he hesitantly headed over. He smiled at her as he took her seat. "Hi Lily." He said quietly. "Hi Clifton." He added, then looking at the pitch where Elliot was standing with the Hufflepuffs. Lars was wearing the shirt he'd painted with the text "GO ELLIOT," which felt a little less silly next to Lily with her sign.

Adelaide didn't really like Quidditch as much as Wendall - she covered her eyes whenever she thought somebody was about to get hit by a bludger - but she wasn't going to pass up an opportunity to spend time with her friend. Besides, Lysander was playing, and he was absolutely the cutest boy in the whole school. She greeted Wendall with a bear hug. "He's supporting the best house," she said, though secretly she thought Hufflepuff was probably tied with Gryffindor on the coolness scale. Holding up a big bag of assorted gummy candy, she said, "Does anyone want snacks?"

Kas wasn't someone who liked being early to things, but after completely missing a few quidditch games last year, he was determined to catch this one. He wasn't sure why Quidditch stands always seemed to have this weird lingering smell about them, but he diligently made his way to a decent enough spot. Somewhere right in the middle between being able to see well and also overhear some of his classmates so he could judge who they were supporting.

Freya didn't understand how Quidditch rules worked, but that didn't stop her from getting up early and showing up to the game for the opportunity to yell at people on brooms. She'd painted half her face in Hufflepuff colours, and the other half in Gryffindor, as well as wearing a scarf from each house because she wasn't about to commit to supporting only one team. She spotted Kas in the stands and darted up to flop down next to him. "Place your bets, who's going to land in the Hospital Wing this time?" she joked.

Kas snorted when Freya showed up, glad for company but unable to take her seriously with what she was wearing. "Almost definitely one of the seekers, just wait," He said, watching at the players took to the air. "You look like you're having an identity crisis," He remarked blandly. Kas wasn't huge on house pride, but he didn't quite have Freya's.. flare for design when it came to standing out. @Freya Song

Nikko arrived at the stands and took a seat off to the side, still a little wary of being around so many people. He scanned around looking for Evan, he had convinced her to come with him and he hoped she hadn't bailed and left him all alone. But he tried to not let that thought get in the way of his excitement. His dad and only mentioned the game in passing and now that he knew what it was he could not wait to see it in action.

Lindon made his way to the quidditch stands dressed in a combination of red and yellow. He was a little confused as to who to support. he was in Hufflepuff so she should be supporting his house. but he didn't know anyone on his house team and willow was the seeker for Gryffindor. so he was going to cheer for both. if anyone asked he would say he hoped willow got the snitch but Hufflepuff had enough of a lead to win. though he knew that was unlikely to happen. he had two signs nothing too fancy just parchment with writing on it one read go Hufflepuff and the other said to willow. he took a seat and looked around as he waited for the match to start. it seemed like there were a few people dressed in both teams colours so he was glad he wasn't the only one. as one of the girls said place bets as to who would end up in the hospital wing and someone replied saying one of the seekers he turned his attention "What do seekers often end up in the hospital?" he asked. Willow hadn't mentioned that neither had his mum. he felt an apprehension build in his throat.
as the game started he cheered watching willow it wasn't long before she went plummeting to the ground. "Wills slow down. you are going to crash" he shouted. as the redhead neared the ground. but he watched as the girl rose with her hand held high. he couldn't tell what she was holding but he assumed by the cheer that echoed around the pitch that meant that she had caught the snitch. 'Is that it? the game over" he asked the question more to anyone nearby before cheering "wooo go willow".

After Elliot's disastrous last game, Katy had been determined not to miss this one. She'd barely sat down when the last one had been over and she really hoped Elliot got a chance to do something cool this time. She didn't travel across the globe just to watch him get his butt kicked twice. Grabbing a seat, Katy enthusiastically shook the yellow and black pompom she'd thrown together, giving a cheer when she saw Elliot on the pitch. "Woo, go Elliot! Fly around and stuff!" She'd kinda picked up the Quidditch rules from the previous games and asking Elliot annoying questions, but it still all seemed a bit silly. It was fun to watch though, so Katy was intent on enjoying today.

Kas was almost convinced he was never going to get to see a proper Quidditch match at this rate, making a point to not show up fashionably late for once this time to get a good spot. It was a decent trek down to the pitch though, so if the game did end in like five minutes again this time Kas was just going to hang out here and get his money's worth either way. So to speak.

CRACK! Tinny appeared with a butterbeer in hand excited to see another Quidditch Match. She was disappointed to see that her favorite green team wasn't playing but did recognize the bird team as the one that had lost against her favorite team. Taking a large swig of her butterbeer the tiny House Elf began booing loudly at the blue bird team. After a few minutes of this, Tinny took another swig and began booing the yellow furry thing team. "We want green snake team!" Tinny shouted out before giggling. Quidditch always got the little elf excited though she did hope none of the people around her noticed. House Elves were normally not to be seen and even though she wouldn't get in trouble since her chores were done, the other House Elves would probably be meaner to her if they found out.

Freya didn't understand why people played Quidditch when there were perfectly good sports that took place on the ground, but Kas would probably be at the game, and hanging out with him wouldn't be too terrible. She made her way to the stands, dressed in green and with ties from both the playing houses braided into her hair. It was only fair to support two teams at once, and Freya would deny any desire to see her own house win. She was just in it to see how many scarves and ties she could swipe from other houses. Freya loped up to Kas and took a seat beside him. "Maybe there'll actually be blood this time," she said mildly. One could only hope.

Lucas was thrilled to see his team play, and he had put on his Hufflepuff scarf despite the heat of the summer day. He headed into the stands, hoping to see some of his classmates to spend time with during the game. But he didn't see his roommates anywhere nearby, nor did he see anyone else he really recognized from his year. The stands were very crowded, and Lucas stood on tiptoes and looked around. He figured he needed someone to watch with, someone who could probably explain a few of the rules he still didn't quite get. Lucas spotted the older boy who had helped him with spells, and decided he could be good company for the match. He headed over, just in time to hear the girl next to him talk about blood. Lucas frowned slightly, moving to Kas' other side quietly. "Uh, blood?" He asked, glancing at the older boy. "She's joking, right?"
