Greetings and salutations everyone! With IC Valentine's day almost upon us, it's also almost time again for the school to send out roses to one another! So without further ado, here's everything you need to know for the Flower Delivery Service for Y36!
INTRODUCTION
First organised by Alexis many, many moons ago and then run by myself as well as Daphne and Rowan for quite some time, the Flower Delivery Service is an In Character event organised this year once again by Alice Holland and Apollo Bixby with the help from those at the Wild Patch Club. You can choose from three different coloured flowers. Your rose can be delivered with or without a note attached to it, the choice is yours. On Valentine's day, these roses will be delivered to their recipients. While this event is all about spreading some love around the school, it's also about character interaction, meaning that characters that might never meet because of house and/or year difference will get the chance to interact with one another. It's pretty simple and loads of fun! Of course, we can't always guarantee that your character will interact with a character they have yet to interact with, but we're doing our best to make sure this is the case.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE
First of, do not sign up if you will make this process unnecessarily difficult (i.e., refusing to post a lot of topics or refusing to deliver flowers to specific characters/role players.). This is meant to be fun, let's make sure to keep it that way!
Second, do not sign up with multiple characters if you do not have the time to hand out roses with more than one character, so think carefully about how many characters you want to sign up with. If you do have the time to hand out roses with multiple characters, feel free to sign up with more than just one character!
This year we've also got a couple of other things we want to note. As much as we love receiving the crazy amount of roses we receive each year, it also comes with the expected chaos of trying to fit it all in so that every character has about the same amount of roses they'll have to hand out. That's why we explicitly ask you, the roleplayer, to not send out more than 50 roses in total. We want everyone to have fun sending and receiving roses and messages, and part of everyone having fun is making sure the deliverers don't wind up too overworked, and have enough time and energy to dedicate to each delivery. 50 is the absolute limit we draw, so please try to stay well under that if you can!
We also ask you to think about the roses you are going to send out to family members and/or entire Quidditch teams or clubs. It's often roses like this that give the deliverers more to hand out than we would like. You are of course free to send roses to the family members and/or entire Quidditch teams or other clubs but we still ask you to try and think about the amount you will send.
Please only deliver roses with a message, we cannot deliver items/presents.
ROSES
As I mentioned before, you are able to choose three different coloured flowers, each one of them has its own meaning to it. Red is love, yellow is friendship and pink is admiration aka crushes.
To have one or multiple roses delivered, please PM me on Apollo Bixby ASAP in the format below
