Open Planting A Wiggentree - SDA & WPC

Blake almost didn't wanna show his face in the SDA again so soon. He had lost his duel in a painfully embarrassing way, and he didn't love that being part of his reputation. There was a meeting planned though, and Blake couldn't help being curious about what a dumb tree had to do with defense. He was surprised when he arrived at the Wild Patch to find a fight already underway, unable to suppress his glee as he realised what was going on. A bunch of Leda's classmates were telling her off! This was amazing! Blake desperately wanted to get involved, but he knew he couldn't be mean to Leda to her face. It would be way too easy for her to kick him off the Quidditch team. He'd have to be subtle if he was gonna get to be part of this. "Why does Leda want to know what Alistair had for breakfast?" He asked, playing dumb. "Leda are you taking a poll for the Monthly? I had eggs. This is a pretty weird place to do that though, we're supposed to be having a club meeting."

Alexis somehow intended to make Leda zip her mouth. She did not harbor any hate or dislike for the Slytherin, just a slight annoyance but hearing and seeing how people interact with the girl or how Leda injected herself in every conversation and situation came off wrongly in the Ravenclaw's books. "Whatever floats your boat, Leda.", she responded as she caught sight of Willow. "Wil, hey.", approaching the girl, leaving the Slytherin behind. She did not want to go on making a deal out of her statements as it would come off rude to others who were there. "Love the new hair.", she complimented. Lowering her voice into a whisper, "You're right about the Wiggentree. It is a kind of rowan."

Lysander was a member of a few clubs, and until today had no idea they could even cross over to do things together. It was pretty cool, like he was doing two things at one time, and he wondered if other clubs would do the same. He couldn't think of how they'd combine and make sense, and honestly wasn't sure how the duelling club and garden club had anything in common, but he was eager to find out. There were already a lot of students gathered by the time he arrived, and some obvious tension in the air. Sander waved hello to Alistair, but the older boy seemed busy so he walked off to see his friends instead. "Hi Wendall!" He called, smiling at the Hufflepuff and the girl he was with. He recognised her from their year, but didn't really know her that well.

Connor was petrified of today. He had been so excited about the Wild Patch club... it seemed like a nice group, getting together to garden and do things with flowers. Connor loved flowers, and he couldn't wait. Today, though, of all things his worst nightmare. Why would they be doing a joint meeting with the SDA? Eric was going to be here, and he would be angry at Connor for joining such a girly club, and it was all going to fall apart. He almost didn't go at all, but Connor didn't want to let down the club's leader. The second he showed up though, he regretted it. Eric was here alright, loudly talking about how stupid this was. Oh no. Feeling tears pricking at his eyes, Connor slipped away and ducked behind a bush at the outskirts of the Wild Patch, where he could listen at a distance without anyone seeing him crying.

Alistair had known not every member of his club would be thrilled with the idea of planting a tree over duelling, but he wasn't any less disappointed when that opinion was one of the very first things expressed. "It's not pointless, it's important. If you want more practice, you just have to ask me." Alistair responded to Charlie. People seemed to forget that the duelling chambers were available anytime, and he was always down to help members get more practice in, but it was only Willow who had duelled with him outside of the tournament that year. "Eric, what's dumb is trying to shove your opponent in the middle of a tournament. If you want to get your hands dirty, you're welcome to start digging a hole to plant in." Stair continued, pointing toward the area he and Norton had marked off. Who knew, maybe gardening was what he needed to calm down.

Before Alistair had a chance to respond to Alexis' question, Leda made her appearance, and unsurprisingly her comments didn't go down well. The werewolf was more than happy to avoid engaging, as hard as it was not to smile at PHoebe's comment, but not everyone else seemed to feel the same way. Stair sighed and pressed his fingertips to the bridge of his nose, trying to combat the stress of the drama unfolding. It was getting out of hand. This was not what he had planned the event for. "This isn't the time or place for arguments. This is the Wild Patches garden, they've been kind enough to let us use it, and we need to make a good impression." Alistair said, giving Norton an apologetic glance for their behaviour. Gardening was supposed to be a stress-free environment, or so he assumed. Alexis butting in to explain what a wiggentree was before Stair had the opportunity to do so was also mildly frustrating, and he felt robbed of the chance to talk to the club members about it himself. "We're the Student Defence Association, not the Student Duelling Association. There's more to this club than learning how to fight. If everyone can settle for a few minutes, you might all learn something useful. We aren't planting any regular old tree for the sake of it. This is important to me, and it just might end up being important to some of you, too." He said, heading over to the plot to start clearing a space for the sapling himself. He was eager to go into more detail, as soon as everyone could get over themselves for just a few minutes.

Elio listened as more and more people flooded in on the argument, and the Gryffindor couldn’t be bothered to be part of another argument. If they kept to themselves then they wouldn’t have as many problems. Elios eyes were drifting away from the commotion to see if there was anyone from the Wild Patch that he recognised. He knew first years didn’t duel, but it was nice they got to be involved here too. Spotting another first year quickly hide behind one of the bushes, he left the older students to their petty feuds, walking through the grass and rounded the shrubbery to see a small boy ducked behind it. “What’s up buddy?” He asked, crouching lower to his level. He’d been with the group a moment ago, wasn’t he part of one of the clubs?

Wendall turned when he heard his name and grinned when he saw one of his best friends join them. “Hi Lysander!” He wasn’t surprised to see the boy around here, he was probably part of all the clubs so this would make sense. “Have you met Jenna? She’s in Hufflepuff too.” He introduced politely. “This is Lysander, he’s in Gryffindor and we watch lots of films together,” he smiled, proud he’d remembered his manners.

Ilija was feeling a bit uncomfortable when the discussions turned more into an argument. He didn’t seem to be the only one though, nd glancing around he spotted another face that he wasn’t shocked to see, but still made him feel a bit more lost than he had a moment before. He turned to one of the girls he’d not seen before, but seemed to be in a similar position of keeping out of all the trouble. “What club are you part of?” He asked her. He recognised her a little bit, but he wouldn’t have been able to put a face to the name.

The red head heard a familiar voice and had to resist an eye roll at Blake. He was smarter than that, wasn’t he? As the girls around her carried on making the situation long, Leda was glad Alistair gave them all a warning. She straightened herself out, remembering that the best way she was going to get these guys back would be in writing. Sometimes students could do with more than that but it would only be temporary. If she really wanted to take someone down while at school, she believed she could, but out in the fields wasn’t the time. Holding her head high, she moved away from the others, and grabbing a shovel began to hack at the ground instead.

Selene made her way down to the wild patch. she had heard that they had a meeting today. and as she had slept through the last meeting she thought she had best make the most effort that she could to attend today. she made her way to the garden blinking her mismatched eyes in the sunlight as it hit her. and made her way to the garden there were more people there than usual and as she drew closer she heard some of the older students argue she looked at see who was there who she knew and was really glad that she had a friend there. "Hello Nell." she said a soft but genuine smile spreading its way unbidden across her face as she stood next to her friend. she was not surprised to see her here she seemed to be involved with every club she was would have been surprised if she had missed this event. it looked like they were planting a tree, it was something fun to do. but she didn't know what the importance of it was. or why the student defence association was helping. how would a tree defend you, you could climb it but that was all she could think about. "do you know what's going on, or why the SDA are helping plant a tree" she whispered to her friend hoping that it wasn't something obvious that would make her seem silly.

''I'm sorry, i didn't know.'' Jenna say with a little sad voice to Wendall. She know that fealing when you missing mom all the time. ''Ur welcome! Realy here? What he wanted to teaching others? Baby? Congratulation!'' Hufflepuff girl smiled the boy and she was so happy for him, becouse baby in life was so important, but she didn't know Wendall fealing about this and she wanna know. ''What you think about planting tree? I realy like to do this!'' Jenna says to Wendall and she was so proud be here with others student.

Jasper hoped he wasn't too late, he hadn't really known where the Wild Patch Club area was. He spotted a group of kids, most of which he recognized. He waved at Leda, who seemed to be going off to dig in the ground. That actually looked like kind of fun. But he was distracted when he saw Nell, Selene and a boy he didn't know talking to each other. "Hey guys, this is kinda weird right?"

The Wild Patch Club was a group of people Lars felt comfortable around, but that only made this meeting scarier to him. The Student Defence Association was filled with people Lars didn't know, or only vaguely knew. He waited a little on the outskirts, nervously looking at a few flowers as he waited to hear what they were supposed to do. Apparently they were going to plant a wiggentree sapling, but Lars was a little confused about it. Were they all going to plant one tree together? It seemed much too busy for that.

While it wasn't bad to see Alice during this meeting, Diana didn't really get the point of this. She heard other members of the group grumble about it as well, including Phoebe's girlfriend. Diana folded her arms and waited, watching Alistair as he started to clear space for the tree to be planted. She sighed, wondering what the point of this all was.

Charlie hadn't really considered that people other than Alistair were paying attention until some kid she didn't recognise chimed in. She shot him a withering look, considering pointing out that it was rude to listen in on other people's conversations, but before she could get a word in edgewise it seemed like everyone one the planet had an opinion to share. It was a relief when Phoebe arrived in the middle of the chaos, and even though the cheek kiss made Charlie a little nervous, she hoped Phoebe's arrival meant they would be able to sneak away from this argument together and just wait this pointless meeting out. Phoebe immediately got herself involved in the argument though, and Charlie had to suppress a groan. She shouldn't have expected anything different. Standing at a distance, Charlie wasn't even listening anymore by the time Alistair started telling people what to do, waiting until the chaos had died down. This was so stupid.

Tyler headed over to the meeting with his hand stuffed into the pockets of his coat. He hadn't really thought much of this meeting, but it was nice at least that the club was doing something else than only dueling. The collaboration with the Wild Patch Club was kind of lame, but he figured the two leaders were probably friends or something. He made his way to Blake, who was laughing about something. Tyler lightly nudged him with his shoulder in greeting. "Why are you talking about eggs?" He asked him with a raised eyebrow.

Norton hadn’t been sure what to expect when combining the Wild Patch with the SDA, but it was surprising him a little how much his counter parts club seemed to be exactly what the club was for. He thought it was a little unkind of the members to be so critical of Alistair and of his choice. If they were unhappy they hadn’t needed to come to this event. They hadn’t need to engage with others about this event. He could be somewhat relieved that his lot where a little nicer and calmer. Norton looked to Alistair as he spoke, he wasn’t sure whether or not to add anything to it, the boys tone was firm but he knew it was more directed at his own lot and Norton hadn’t really address his, ”Welcome to the wild patch for all of our wild patch members and to our friends in the SDA welcome,” he said with a little smile, gesturing lightly with his arms to the place that he was welcoming them to. ”I think we can all admit this is a bit of an odd joining of forces, but I think we should always welcome any opportunity to work together,” Norton said, ”We’ve allocated a little plot in the gardens so that we can plant a tree,” he smiled at them, he was sure that Alistair as the brains of the event would want to mention more about what tree they were planting and why.

William was surprised when he was immediately approached. He knew Alice from classes and the Wild Patch, of course, but he didn't think they had ever really talked. Alice Holland was pretty and popular, girls like her didn't talk to him. "I, uh... I guess." He said, trying not to let his nerves show in his voice. "Looks like the SDA lot don't really wanna be here." He quieted down to listen as Norton spoke, relieved that at least their club's members and leader weren't out here causing problems. Hopefully they could get down to business soon.

Mazikeen had been a little surprised when a notification reached her of the new club meeting for the wild patch, because of the fact that it was in association with the SDA. She didn’t think it was the wildest combination of clubs but it certainly wasn’t her first thought. She knew they would be doing something nature related, given that it was taking place at the wild patch area and not the SDA area. The gryffindor arrived at the area, noting that quite a few people had already arrived at the gardens, there seemed to be a large group from the SDA there, and they seemed to be louder than the wild patch members, but it was very easy to confuse who might be on one side and who might be on another. She smiled at Willow and gave her a little wave as she just found a place to stand and stood amongst the crowd, her gaze shifting to the two leaders who seemed to be taking turns to draw the people in and keep them whole thing a little less busy.

Vader didn’t particularly have the time to spare for school events, but he knew that the random pictures of these things helped build up the yearbook. That and he knew that two clubs coming together for something was a little rarer. The teen was a part of the wild patch, rather than the SDA. He’d been in the SDA or thought about it a few times, but he hadn’t liked duelling and he wasn’t much of a fighter, well, aside from what he was doing with Goku but that wasn’t something he was mentioning much. He arrived at the area, yawning slightly as he approached. He had his camera with him, and had already taken a few wide shots of all of the different people who were at the event. He looked at he different people there, not particularly enjoying the feeling of the crowd. The boy noticed that one of the girls, an older was one who’d once held a rose above his head when he’d tried to take it. He looked away from her and then back around the people, spotting William with Alice. He never knew how to feel about the other boy but he approached him and Alice,, it was someone he liked somewhat and someone he knew somewhat and alice he knew pretty well. ”Hey William, Alice, been here long?” Vader did have other things to get to, and he was hoping to factor in a nap at some point, if he had the time but Vader never had the time.

Nell kept quiet as she watched the older students bicker, only looking up when a boy approached her. Oh no. Did he want to fight too? But no, he was just asking a question, and Nell smiled in relief. "Both of them!" She said cheerfully. "Well, all of them. I'm in every club." She added, unable to resist the small brag. As little free time as it left her, Nell did enjoy being in every club for different reasons, though some were undoubtedly more fun than others. Her smile brightened at the sight of one of her roommates, and Nell pulled Selene in for a hug as soon as she reached them. "Seleeene!" Nell said happily, releasing the other girl after a moment. "I think it's like... a magical defense tree. I couldn't really hear what Alistair said, everyone's arguing. But I think that's what's going on." She shrugged slightly. As Jasper joined them, Nell shrugged. "Pretty weird, but I think it could be fun if everyone stopped fighting." She commented, glancing at the older students who had been causing a fuss. "Oh, do you guys know each other? Jasper this is Selene, my roommate, and..." She paused, glancing at the other boy who had joined them. She had seen him around in club meetings of course, but Nell knew so many people offhandedly through clubs that she couldn't quite place his name. "Um... I've forgotten your name, I'm really sorry."

Aonghas found himself going to the wild patch, sda event out of sheer curiosity. He wouldn’t have gone to another wild patch event, he’d joined for a specific reason and it made less and less sense to him as to why. The hufflepuff had however decided that he might just give it a try, especially because it would be fun to see the other club interact with the wild patch. He arrived at the area, once it appeared most others had gotten there and was a little surprised by the nature of everyone there. He could see that a lot of the students who were part of the sda seemed to be more forceful and the ones in the wild patch seemed more tentative. He noticed as he approached a boy was seemingly hiding in some bushes, Aonghas certainly wouldn’t have noticed it if he hadn’t been looking around more closely. He didn’t give the boy any both and just walked away from him heading towards the larger crowd of people.

Blake was still grinning when Tyler showed up, glad he had managed to totally own Leda into silence. He pulled Tyler aside once he was sure nobody was paying attention to them. "People were fighting." He whispered, making sure his voice was low enough not to be heard by anyone except Tyler. "I was making fun of Leda." Lifting his head again, he grinned at Alistair. "This tree sounds cool!" Blake said, a little over-enthusiastically. "Do we just start digging?" He asked picking up a shovel.

Padme was heading to the wild patch, she had heard about the event and decided to go along. She had really enjoyed her first duel and had been thinking of beginning to go to the SDA club too, but for the very least she’d get to experience it a little with this event. She liked the wild patch more, it felt a little calmer as a club and she had always liked what they did, the flowers they grew and the sorts of events that she had attended in the past. As Padme neared she noticed Ilija and couldn’t help the light blush that appeared despite the fact things were good between them, at least in her mind. Padme walked a little closer and stood next to him, ”Hey,” she greeted with a quiet tone. He was stood with others that Padme didn't know, but she just smiled at them, and stayed close to Ilija.

Minnie didn’t have much time in the day for events, it was too close to the next set of exams for her to really have any time. But she knew it was important moving forward to be able to actually go do things. Ever since she’d spent too much time with the mandrake and the acknowledgement to Eric of all people about her lack of friends she was trying to be more active in areas that she could be. It was outrageous to imagine that Eric with friends when she didn’t have them. And Minnie refused to believe that while not alike they were at times similar. The ravenclaw arrived at the wild patch area and looked towards the two leaders. She spotted Eric in the crowd and he’d obvious had to say what he wanted. She couldn’t help the smirk that crossed her features when the older boy, the one who must be in charge of the SDA mentioned something about Eric’s duelling. She would maybe actually enjoy herself here, maybe it wouldn’t be such a waste of time.
