Personality: Kyle's personality has changed drastically over time. From a cheerful, outgoing child, he became shy and withdrawn at his introduction to the magical world, struggling to adjust. After being bitten, the outgoing side returned with a vengeance, and Kyle became almost reckless, making rash decisions and pushing himself much too far out of his comfort zone. He has begun to slow down since the birth of his daughter though, focused more on helping the people around him than on his own comfort and happiness, often to the detriment of others. Kyle often thinks he's doing the right thing, but doesn't pay enough attention to what other people are telling him. He presents a cheerful and funloving front, but below the surface deals with a lot of regret and self-loathing.

History: Kyle's parents, Adeline and Francis, met in France while Francis was on holiday from his home in New Zealand. They fell in love, and after seven years together decided to have their first child, Ella. Kyle came three years later, and the two lived their early childhood in France. When Kyle was five and his sister was eight, the family decided to relocate to Francis's home in New Zealand, and a year later, welcomed their final child into the family. Kyle had a happy, normal muggle childhood until his Hogwarts letter came, a complete surprise to the entire family. Kyle didn't quite know what to think about magic being real. He was relieved that his best friend from his muggle school was accompanying him to Hogwarts though, and after his first year he began to adjust to this new life. Tragedy struck during the summer holidays of Kyle's third year at Hogwarts though, when he was bitten by a werewolf. His parents pulled him out of Hogwarts at once to recover at home, and after a few letters back and forth written in half-speak, it was finally revealed that Kyle was not muggleborn as he thought. Though most of his family had lived as muggles for generations, there was a witch buried in his mother's bloodline, and one of his cousins had also inherited the gift. That cousin, Gabriel, came to New Zealand to homeschool Kyle and help him manage his condition. After a couple of years, Kyle finally felt comfortable returning to Hogwarts in his sixth year, though a lot had changed. He had become reckless, much more outgoing than he had ever been before, and making decisions he would have thought were foolish before. He didn't pay enough attention to the things that mattered, and graduated Hogwarts with no career prospects at all. Kyle had dreams of Broadway and immedialtely moved to New York to try and make it as an actor, but it was only after landing a couple of very minor roles that it struck him he would never be able to keep up with performance schedules, having to take full moons off. He was overwhelmed with grief and returned to France, relieved to have wealthy family to fall back on. By this time, Kyle's brother had developed magic as well, and Kyle was able to help him as he entered school at Beauxbatons. With nothing else to cling to for the future, Kyle threw himself whole-heartedly into a relationship, and pushed his new partner, Dorian, into starting a family. Dorian had second thoughts, and left Kyle while their surrogate was pregnant, leaving Kyle all alone, with a new baby. With family money to fall back on, Kyle dedicated himself entirely to his daughter, feeling that he had nothing else left. He enrolled October in a lot of classes very young, hoping to give her the opportunities he had never had. When October was five they returned to New Zealand so October could attend the schools Kyle had, and have a chance to improve her English and grow up fully bilingual. Kyle started working as a waiter for a while, before finding a more stable job at Scrivenshafts as the Deputy Manager. Even by the time she was ready for Hogwarts, October was already showing signs of stress, that Kyle was entirely oblivious to. Before she left for Hogwarts, while Kyle was taking his daughter to ballet lessons, he struck up a friendship with one of the other dads, which turned into a romantic relationship. After years together, Kyle was struggling with how to tell Matt he was a wizard, so they could make their relationship more serious, when his problems were solved by running into Matt and his daughter at the train station on the way to Hogwarts. To Kyle's relief, his relationship with Matt survived the revelation of his lycanthropy as well, and after a couple of years, they got engaged. When sharing the happy news with their daughters though, Kyle was shocked and horrified when October blew up at him. After years of thinking he was doing what was right for his daughter, Kyle was distraught at the revelation that his helicopter parenting had only been making her feel unhealthily pressured. It was a rough road for their family to recover, but after finally listening to his daughter, things for Kyle began to get back on track.
