Open The Stands

Nicole was carefully trying to balance a bag of kettlecorn on her knees as the match got underway. It had sucked last year that Slytherin's win streak had suddenly ended and she really hoped this year would see the cup back with their house where it belonged. They were off to an okay start, Chloë was doing amazing for Gryffindor, which was as impressive as it was annoying, but Celia Vuong was a force to be reckoned with, knocking a bludger into Lysander and Emma in quick succession. Nicole didn't know how Emma handled it, honestly, she'd probably cry if anyone asked her to play Quidditch. Emma and Lysander returned the favour though and Nicole grimaced as Gryffindor made yet another goal quickly before Lysander smacked their poor new seeker with a third bludger, hand over her mouth since it looked like that hit had really hurt.

Joseph had always enjoyed watching quidditch with his daughters, but to actually watch one of them play quidditch for her house team was a completely different experience. As a professor, he felt like he might not be completely partial as to which team should win but he did think he was allowed to support his own kid. Finding a seat on the stands he watched nervously as the game began. Being a seeker had been the only thing Ivelisse had wanted and he knew that but still he wasn't completely comfortable with her playing the position with the highest risk of getting hurt. No matter how many times she had told him that would just be the risk of the game. Joseph watched eagerly as the match began, proud to see his kid playing. The smile was quickly wiped off his face when she got hit with three bludgers in a row, grimacing as he watched her get down to the ground. This was exactly what he hadn't wanted to watch.

Josephine didn't usually attend the Quidditch matches, she was usually the one on staff in the Hospital Wing to make sure the players that were taken out were taken care of. Thankfully, she had this afternoon off. It was nice to spend some time with Angel and Amanita, and Josephine smiled fondly at them from her seat next to them. "Amanita, you better not get it in your head to play this dangerous sport." She told her daughter sternly. "Should we take her to this? We might encourage her."

@Professor Angel Castillo

Cameron knew plenty about Quidditch in theory, it was a popular sport, so he'd be remiss to not have some interest in it. It wasn't a big deal though he reminded himself as he settled in the stands, craning his neck to get a good look at the players as they shot into the air. Wizards probably watched Quidditch games all the time, so Cameron just schooled his expression as best he could, even as the players and various balls shot around the field. It was hard to know what to watch, and Cameron kept missing whatever it was the crowd would loudly react to till it was too late. He didn't even know why the game was stopped for moment, frowning until he spotted the Slytherin seeker being removed from the game, looking pretty worse for wear. It didn't take his vast Quidditch knowledge to be able to tell the game wasn't going so great for Slytherin so far.

Angel was glad that Josephine had the afternoon off, doubly so when Gryffindor seemed to have it in for their seekers, grimacing as Ivelisse was taken off the pitch. It couldn't be fun to be on concussion watch all day. He also had to acknowledge the small, tender feeling having her here with Ama in his arms, the two of them fussing over her as she continued on her hair pulling mission. Family had never exactly won a lot of warm feelings out of Angel in the past, but this thing they'd managed to build together, however tiresome or stressful it was at times, was something he wanted to hold onto tightly.

"Hey, why don't we pull Mum's hair today instead, huh?" He murmured to Amanita, trying to shift her attention towards Josephine as she spoke. "I'm not sure she's cognizant enough of anything going on right now to worry much," he responded to Josephine, grimacing as Amanita pulled on his hair, undeterred by his attempt to unlatch her tiny hand. "Besides, maybe she'd make a good beater," he added, frowning again as Lysander and Emma seemed determined to knock out their new seeker as well. "How did I never realize how many of my students were this blood thirsty. Should I be more worried about handing out P's?" @Josephine Arora

Aurora was very excited to see the next quidditch game. It was gryffindor playing so of course she was exceedingly eager for it. She had dragged her sister with her though she didn't always like quidditch, but this qas gryffindor playing and Aurora wanted to see this. She had put little red G's on their cheeks and some red face paint around it. She arrived at the stands and guiding her sister to sit in a spot in the stands before sitting next to her. "Go Gryffindor!" she shouted though the players were only just arriving at the pitch.

Rosie wasn't looking forward to the game, she knew that Aurora was and thus had decided to go along too, to roll with her. Her sister had shown an interest in her roses thing, so she was coming along to the game with her, and leaned into the face paint and knew she could just look away when things got rather rough. She glanced to the spot Aurora was guiding her too and then sat down. She looked out at the teams going on to the pitch and cheered along side Aurora.

Lumio was here to support Ronald as best he could from the stands. he knew quidditch was important to Ronald, so of course he would remain in the crowds during his games to be able to cheer him on. He made his way to a spot with a sign that said go ronald, and was just waiting for the game to begin with an eagerness. This was likely to be fun, quidditch wasn't something that interested him in playing, but he didn't watching it at all.

Eugene didn't always have time for quidditch certainly not always to sit back and enjoy it, but given it was Hufflepuff playing there was no way he was going to miss the game. He got to the stands and immediately was in the Hufflepuff crowd. It helped that his dormmate was playing and he was certainly looking to cheer him on while having some fun. He wasn't taking pictures of this game, he had the next one, so he could also enjoy himself. There had been a time when he'd considered playing but there was absolutely no time for him to do so now.

Liusaidh always tried to come to the quidditch games, partly she really enjoyed them, but also because she knew she needed to be looking at what the other teams were doing and their strengths because even if this was the losers match, she'd still be running the slytherin team and she was determined to return it to it's glory, to it's victory. She sat down in the stands and just looked out at the sight before her, eager for this to get started.

Professor Kingsley made her way to the stands. She was hopeful that the Gryffindors would have a good match and hoped they'd have a better outcome than their last one. Taking a seat, the professor pulled out a small fan and fanned herself. It was a hot day, for sure.

Branson walked to the stands, and spotted his sisters in the gryffindor bit. He gave an excited wave to them before continuing to where more of the hufflepuffs were sitting. Though he knew he'd probably eventually have to support Gryffindor if Aurora made the time for now he was going to stick with what he was doing and go support Jordie, Blair and hufflepuff. He sat down and was eager for the game to get started.

Valeria had never seen a game of quidditch, apart from on the bench, she hadn't had time for the first game of the year - which she hadn't been in - and was looking forward to watching one properly. She thought the other teams were quite good and had no strong desires either way for who would win. She was mostly just happy to be there, and excited to watch. She was in amongst a mixture of fans, probably most like her, supporting neither house. But it was going to be fun, she hoped too that it would be a long game and maybe a little violent as well.

Seamus arrived at the stands when he thought the game was right about to begin but as he took a spot in amongst the crowd, he did realise things were still slowly getting underway but they were still a good moment away from the game getting started. He liked quidditch, well, he liked sports in general and given that this was the only one on offer he certainly didn't mind. It was fun to watch and he was sure this would be a good game.

Charlie might not be covering the games for the Monthly, but he still loved sports. And he still had a roommate on the team. He arrived a little early, but not first, and quickly found Eugene. Charlie had sent a note to @Rune asking him to come see the game, but he wasn't sure if Rune had got it or not. He sat down next to his roommate and smiled brightly. "Did I miss anything?" He asked, looking out to the pitch.

@Eugene Nestor

Xinyi had not been planning to go to the Quidditch game. But before he knew what had happened, Soren had burst into his room and practically dragged him down to the pitch. He supposed it couldn't be all bad, as he quickly spotted Rosie and Aurora. He sat next to Rosie with a shy smile. "Hi," He greeted her. "I like your face paint." @Rosie Archer

Soren was practically bursting with excitement for the Quidditch game. After Xinyi had missed the dance, he wasn't about to let him miss the game. He got hold of the other boy and dragged him down to the pitch. Once they were in the stands, he released Xinyi to crawl over and sit beside Aurora. "Woo! What are we doing?" He asked, on board with whatever the plan was. @Aurora Archer

Hamish was a bit curious about the other teams, and quickly found his brother in the stands, sitting next to Seamus and stretching out. "Who do you think is going to win?" He asked, watching as the teams lined up on the pitch. @Seamus Reid

Eugene gave an excited wave as Charlie sat down next to him. He shook his head and then pointed to the players, "They're still arriving at the pitch," he told him, since the game wasn't yet underway and wouldn't be for another couple of minutes at least. "Thanks for the rose by the way, it was sweet of you to send a red one," he said. He'd only sent a yellow one to charlie, but knew his friend knew the sentiment stood.

Rosie grinned happily upon spotting Xinyi and Soren, she was glad those two were often together, and really she was super glad to be able to spend some time with Aurora. She blushed lightly and gave a little nod, "Thank you, it was all Aurora," she said. "I missed you during the valentines dance," she told him with a little laugh, "It was fun, but you were a good dance partner last time," she told him sincerely. "Did you have a good valentines?"
@Xinyi Huang

Aurora moved a little out of the way as Soren crawled over to sit beside her. She gave a little frown and then motioned out to the game, "We're watching the game, when it kicks off, supporting Gryffindor of course," Aurora told him, motioning to the face paint she had put on her own face to indicate the team she was supporting, which was of course her own house. "We cheer for them, and make sure the players know we support them,"
@Soren Gates

Seamus shrugged as Hamish sat down next to him. "Hufflepuff have a newer keeper but I've heard he's good, but the Gryffindor seeker is also very good, so we'll just have to see." he said, which was mostly from the little he'd learned about it. He was sure this would be an interesting game provided it didn't end too early.
@Hamish Reid

The Gryffindor v Hufflepuff matches had always been Harper's favorites, and she was determined to catch this one, too. Though this year's game wouldn't be for the cup, she was looking forward to it all the same. She enjoyed cheering for her friends and getting swept up in a crowd of other fans. This year's game would also be special in that it would be the last one for half of the Gryffindor starters. Harper still remembered watching them play way back in first year. It felt a little like the end of an era.

Decked out mostly in red, Harper climbed the stands and joined the Gryffindor section. She engorgio'd the Gryffindor banner that had been folded up in her pocket and held it up, displaying the animated lion stitched onto the fabric. Though she would also be cheering for Tilly, she figured she was allowed to support her own house. Harper watched wide-eyed as one of the bludgers nearly took out the referee. "Has a bludger ever hit the ref before?" she muttered to the Gryffindor next to her. "Or a spectator?" She was suddenly very aware of the lack of barrier between the stands and the pitch.

@Lumio Skey

Linden made his way tothe quidditch pitch. it had been a long time since he had been standing in the stands cheering on his house. but that is where he would be today. he had fallen out with connor after the last game and ended up quitting the team as their fall out was making it worse for everyone but that didn't mean that he didn't support hufflepuff. in fact he was all decked out in yellow and holding a sign that he had made. it wasn't anywhere near as fancy as one Casper would have made. it was a large sheet that said go hufflepuff then around it all of the name of his - former - teammates.
he stood among the crows managing o find a good spot near the front and cheered as the game started. "Woo, come on guys" he watched as jordie got the quaffle "Come on Jordie" he said in anticipation before letting out a loud cheer and a "Now that's what I'm talking about" when he scored. then a thwack and a gasp caught his attention his first reaction was to make sure lucas was okay. before looking around to see who had been hit and was relieved to see stan's reaction to being hit. looking back he realised it must have come from tilly. "Go Tilly" he called his attention going back to the chasers. once a keeper always a keeper "you got this Rene" he said not wanting to distract him but also knowing that it was near impossible to hear anything that was going on in the stands when hovering and focused at the goals.
