Lumio almost ducked out of the way as a bludger almost hit the referee, which seemed like a mistake, would that result in immediate expulsion from the game...if it was an accident. Someone next to him seemed to have the same question. He gave a little shrug, "It has to have happened before," Lumio said, he thought it was more likely to have hit a ref than a spectator, but it had to be possible. "Referee might just accidentally get in the way, it does move so quickly," he said with a shrug.
@Harper Alston

"They should give him a bat," Harper remarked. She did not envy the referee. There were so many things he had to keep track of in addition to the two bludgers. "They should give us bats, too," she joked. Now that would be chaotic.

The game got off to a quick start, and Harper cheered as Chloë scored two goals. Tilly was also doing quite well. Harper winced as Stan and Nikko took hits but cheered when the Hufflepuff sent a bludger into Flynn. She knew her behavior might look odd to onlookers, especially considering the banner she was waving, but Harper had always been more invested in supporting her friends than just the teams themselves.

@Lumio Skey

Regardless of how things were going with Connor, Kas wasn't about to miss a match, even if the weather was diabolical today. Besides, Connor wasn't his only friend on the pitch today anyway. Sunglasses firmly affixed and a cooling charm at the ready, Kas made his way through the stands, finally picking a spot by Linden as the game got underway. "You're awfully enthusiastic for someone not on the team anymore," he said mildly to Linden, grinning as Tilly started causing some havoc. Hopefully it was enough to give Lucas an edge so they could win this one for Hufflepuff. @Linden Cullen

Salem knew Gryffindor hadn't done the best this year but she was still amped up to watch the game. She'd tried to charm her favourite singlet red and it'd come out sort of splotchy by mistake but Salem was still happily wearing it, glad to see other Gryffindors in the stands decked out in facepaint and red as she grabbed her seat. "Hey Professor, good idea," Salem said, settling near Professor Kingsley and nodding to her fan enviously. Salem had just been content to sweat in the muggy heat, certain she'd weathered through hotter and more humid weather but it still wasn't all that fun. Thankfully the game was already exciting with the team exchanging bludgers and Chloë Thompson easily raking in points for them one after the other as Salem cheered with each goal. @Professor Cyndi Kingsley

Sky made her way to the quidditch pitch. she enjoyed watching the games and was looking forward to Hufflepuff play against Gryffindor. what made it even better was that she had spoken to many of the Hufflepuff players while delivering roses. which was really cool. she hoped that her house would win. She looked around for Giulia as she had enjoyed watching quidditch with her before and cheering on the teams. it was a warm day and Niamh had found a bit of shade holding the Hufflepuff flag above her for some shade. the game started and she watched intently this one was fast the chasers running back and forward. she cheered when Hufflepuff scored and let out an ooh whenever anyone was hit. it was fun to watch. she cheered for hufflepuff but not was loud as some people, especially one guy who seemed to know them all by name, but she could still like to keep her voice later.

Linden watched the game unfold with bated breath. he remembered talking to the ilvermorny beater at the end of last year and saying that being keeper was the best seat in the house. in some ways it was true. but you could never quite enjoy the game as much as when you were here in the stands with the crowd around of you. "too bad rene, better luck next time, Come on Leo" he called as Gryffindor managed to score. though part of him felt a little glad that the lions had got a goal past. he still wanted Hufflepuff to win. but every goal past was a potential way he was missed.

Linden looked up as he heard a voice beside him. "I had no issues with the team. and what better way to get back at being in trouble for cheering my teammates on than cheering my teammates on. Come on Tilly that was an excellent shot. Connor is doing a great job too" he said calling out in the middle to the beater as she hit the Gryffindor seeker. the best part of not playing himself was that he wouldn't get distracted by watching the Hufflepuff team, especially the seeker in pursuit of the snitch. or rather he could get as distracted as he wanted to without getting any repercussions. he watched as the bludger hit him and sucked in a gasp of air. he knew that was what being a seeker was but it didn't stop him wincing for his boyfriend. "Come on Lucas. you got this" he called. even though things hadn't been quite right between them since valentines day he was trying to make things right between them and prove that he truly meant what he had written in the note.

@Kasim Safir

Charlie nodded as Eugene spoke, turning to smile at him at his words. "Thanks for your rose too! It's always nice to know someone's thinking of you," He told his friend. He turned his attention to the game as it got underway, watching as it unfolded and cheering for his roommate. "So, how are things going?" He asked Eugene, trying to make conversation while they watched. @Eugene Nestor

Xinyi smiled shyly at Rosie. "Maybe next time I'll ask her to do mine as well," He commented, turning to look at the game. He blushed as she said she'd missed him, running a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry," He apologized gently. He hadn't thought she'd notice he was gone. Without thinking, he tried to reach over and hold her hand. "It... it was alright," He offered gently, not wanting to go into too much detail. "Did you guys have fun?" He asked. @Rosie Archer

Soren chuckled. "I knew that," He gave her a smile. "Next time I'll do face paint, I didn't realize we could," He brushed a hand through his hair. He hadn't even thought of it, honestly. "Do we know anyone on the Gryffindor team?" He asked, looking to see if there were any familiar faces. That would make cheering easier. @Aurora Archer

Hamish nodded, settling in with his twin to watch the game. He didn't say much, just seeing how everyone played. Before he knew it the Gryffindor seeker had been taken out. He winced. "What have you heard about their alternate?" He asked Seamus, turning to look at his twin. "I think Hufflepuff is going to win now," He ran a hand through his hair. @Seamus Reid

Eugene smiled and nodded in agreement as Charlie thanked him for the rose. He was soon wrapped up in the game, he was watching closely as the teams set off, wincing every time someone got hit. "Busy, Casper asked me to lead the arts club's music section," he said with a little shrug, not unlike with accio not wanting to make a big deal out of it, especially because he wasn't too sure he would do it.
@Charlie Helkovaara

Rosie grinned and nodded, "She'll love that," Rosie assured him, knowing that Aurora would very much enjoy the opportunity to do a little more face painting. She waved her hand gently at his apology, "No apologies necessary Xinyi, we're friends, no apologies between friends, only understanding," she assured him, since she didn't want him to feel bad or like she needed him to spend time with her she just really enjoyed his company. She winced as the game got started and the first of the seekers were taken out. Unable to stop herself, she couldn't help but feel awful about how much it had to hurt. "it was fun," she was glad for Xinyi's hand and squeezed it lightly as she looked away from the game unable to keep watching it as closely as another seeker got hit a thread time.
@Xinyi Huang

Aurora gave a little shrug, "Why wouldn't we be able to?" she asked as an honest question, she hadn't at all thought it was something they wouldn't be allowed to do. "Not yet, but we can cheer on the team as a whole right?" she said. She didn't know any of the names, "The head girl is worth cheering on,"
@Soren Gates

Seamus was watching the game closely not saying too much. He shrugged a little at the question since he didn't know much about them and soon after Hamish had made the comment about Hufflepuff winning the hufflepuff seeker was to be switched out. "Maybe not," he said with a little shrug. It was still all to play for.
@Hamish Reid

Elvera was sitting in her office enjoying a cup of tea and a good book when she heard a shout from outside indicating that the quidditch match was just about over.

Linden stopped as he saw a bludger fly as if in slow motion towards lucas. again. this time he didn't look too good. "Lucas" he shouted as the whistle blew. he stopped to turn and head down to the stand. then stopped and moved back to where he was. he wanted to be with the seeker to make sure he was okay. but he knew there was nothing he could do that the nurses couldn't and if he stayed here he would be able to recount the rest of the match later. he watched 'Come one Blair, you got this girl""[ he called out to the chaser as she flew nearby. "Felix. come on show them what you did at practice" he called. of course he had not been to practice but he had heard how it went.
it seemed like the second year had heard him because before long there was an eruption and he was hovering holding the snitch above him. "woohoo. Go hufflepuff" he shouted as he slipped his way along the stands towards the exit. and made his way towards the pitch to check on how Lucas was.

Felix was a little jealous that Sawyer was getting to play in the championship and he wasn't but he knew he wouldn't want to miss this. He grabbed a seat right on the railing and cheered as Ravenclaw appeared on the pitch. "WOOO GO SAWYER!" he yelled when there was a slight dip in the noise around him so everyone could hear and he could embarrass his brother.

Angel knew he couldn't exactly take credit for how well Slytherin had been doing this year, especially not in Quidditch (and especially considering how many students he'd already had to have a talk with this year), but he figured he'd earnt himself a little bit of smugness as he shuffled into a good spot for the Quidditch final. He'd enchanted his usual waistcoat to shimmer a bright shade of emerald in support of the team, waving a Slytherin pennant eagerly as the team took to the field, hoping Slytherin's good luck continued into the match.
