Xinyi hated it, but he was a prime target for bullying and Jingyi wouldn't put up with it.
In an attempt to help with that, Xinyi took up some self defense classes. Even if it turned out that he didn't need it. Once the two of them started attending Hogwarts New Zealand, they found that the general population was a lot more accepting and open minded than the people they were used to. Xinyi was honestly just pleased to still share a room with his brother.
It was at school that he met some of his best friends in the world; Soren Gates, Aurora Archer, and Rosie Archer. Aside from his blossoming relationships with the three of them, Xinyi had a minor crisis when he suddenly had a crush on half of the boys in his upper years.
