Open The Stands

Iris had helped Poppy make signs for the Quidditch matches, and now looked for her friend so they could cheer together. Iris was cheering for Connor, so for Hufflepuff. She didn't really know the Slytherins very well, so she was less likely to root for them. She waited for Poppy to arrive, watching the game start quietly. She hoped Hufflepuff would do well, but she wasn't too competitive when it came to Quidditch. She just hoped no one would get too hurt.

Kas nodded along to Lysander's "expert" analysis, half-regretting that he'd asked, half impressed that Lysander almost sounded like he knew what he was talking about. "Also doesn't help her chances that Paige just took a hit too," Kas said mildly, watching as the Slytherin beater miscalculated a hit and took a bludger head on for it. Kas perked up when Hufflepuff scored, which was a good sign, but then Slytherin went and scored straight after, so maybe not. "Seems like it'll be a close game again," He mused, remember how things had ended, rather bloodily, last year.

Kas stilled when Emma joined them, glancing at her disapprovingly and trying to decide if he should acknowledge her or not. He wasn't sure what the beef was between Freya and Emma, but he knew he was undoubtably on Freya's side regardless, so Emma had to be treated with the utmost suspicion. "Hufflepuff, obviously," He said dryly, motioning to his Hufflepuff tie with a raised eyebrow. @Emma van Houten @Lysander Summers

Nicole had to grin as her friend cheered for her boyfriend. Her own jealousy aside it was pretty cute. "He might have not heard, but I think half the stands did," She teased, glancing around and waving when she spotted Emma and Iris nearby. "Well, hopefully I'll be celebrating Slytherin's much deserved victory after," She said, letting out a cheer as Slytherin managed to score. "Do you think it's weird for Daintree to be on the team with his ex?" Nicole wondered, watching Tres as Hufflepuff took possession again. Nicole had always admired Tres a lot, but it was a bit weird to feel that way still after hearing how she had treated Jenna badly just for dating Daintree. @Jenna Jusantrea

"Oh" Jenna blushed to Nicol and she wanted not doing again becouse she was a little shy to from others. "That so cool and congrats" Hufflepuff girl didn't know what need to say about Tres. She take deep breath and looked the game. "I gues, but i trust him! Why i don't be?" She didn't know why Nicol sad that and Jenna get a little sad face. Becouse she remember the shop and she didn't again felt so gilty.

While Lydia wasn’t big into Quidditch, she didn’t mind watching the games. She wore a neutral deep purple (well, neutral as far as Hufflepuff and Slytherin were concerned.) The professor had no loyalty to any house and that wouldn’t change just because her cousin had made the Hufflepuff team. That said, she was interested to see how Tilly would do in her first game.

The professor found an open seat in the stands; the game was just starting. Lydia watched as one of the Slytherin beaters managed to hit herself with a bludger. Bad luck.

Jenna had never liked being forced to go to Blake's hockey games as a kid, but this was different. That hadn't been a school team. Blake was an international champion, proven to be the best player in Hogwarts, and there was no chance she wasn't going to be seen supporting him. Green was a hard colour to make cute but she had done her best, wearing all Slytherin colours as she took a seat in the stands. She screamed loudly when the match began, standing out of her seat and jumping up and down. Sports were gross boy stuff, but there was no chance Jenna wasn't going to be seen as the sister of a champion. "GO BLAKE!"

"Don't congratulate me too soon, we got to wait for them to win first," Nicole said brightly, frowning when Hufflepuff managed to score again. At least Tres had the quaffle now, and Nicole hoped she'd even the score back out. "I didn't mean anything by it, but I'm glad you two trust each other," She said, patting Jenna on the shoulder. She was curious about how that must be for both Daintree and Tres, and Jenna, but clearly it wasn't good to bring it up again, judging by Jenna's expression. Nicole was distracted again when the seekers shot off across center pitch, gasping as Blake Irons took a dive. "I think he's seen the snitch!" She said, standing up in her seat to get a better look. @Jenna Jusantrea

Brooke watched the game intently as Hufflepuff and Slytherin traded points, making sure to cheer loudly when Jasper Night managed to score. It was a shame that their second attempt at goal was missed, but Brooke was distracted as the seekers seemed to be making a move, her eyes glued to Blake Irons as he dove straight down. She heard someone yelling Blake's name and glanced over at one of their new first years, cutely decked out in house colours. "Do you know Blake?" She asked, curious if the first year was just very into house quidditch or maybe related to someone. @Jenna Irons

Jordan was not about to miss Tilly's quidditch game, especially when he hoped to be on the bench at least next year. He bolted up into the stands, excited for his first game and eager to see the teams playing. Sapphire had been captain last year, so he had taken the liberty of sneaking her Slytherin Captain jacket she'd gotten from her closet and was wearing it now, even if it did seem three sizes too big for him. He grinned, seeing a friend immediately but deciding to bypass him for someone else he wanted to talk to, too. "Zaaaaaay," He greeted anyway, ruffling the boys' hair as he went by. "Vaaaaaaaal!" Jordie chimed happily, throwing an arm over his buddies' shoulder.

Lily was still feeling really down, but she wasn't about to let Elliot play without her support. She doubted it meant much anymore- she struggled to believe she mattered much to anyone anymore, but a small part of her still whispered that Elliot would be happy to know she had been there, at least. She had a large scarf wrapped tightly around her, and she found comfort in the soft fabric. She walked up to Lars and sat next to him, cuddling close into his side for a bit of support, smiling and waving shyly at Alice. It wasn't long before Elliot had taken a hit, and Lily couldn't help but gasp softly. She would definitely need to take him some muffins or something later. It had been a while since she had been in the kitchens, but she would make herself go back again if she could just convince herself that Elliot needed some treats. If he had even noticed the absence of her usual baked goods, that was. She couldn't take her eyes off him as he and Blake rushed towards the ground, one hand going to cover her mouth and the other moving to grasp Lars' tightly. "Lars," She squeaked softly, "Lars, they're going to get hurt," She fretted, squeezing his hand slightly as she worried.

Poppy had lost track of time and was dismayed to find that the game had already started by the time she reached the stands. But she was able to find Iris quickly since she was holding they sign they made for Connor. "Hi, sorry I'm late." she said a little breathlessly before cheering for Hufflepuff. She watched her friends hit a bludger into someone on the Slytherin team and she winced. Poppy held her breath as the seekers started to race towards the ground as they each chased the snitch. She burred her face in her hands, being too stressed to watch until she heard shouting. She looked up quickly and saw Slytherin had won. She clapped politely but frowned, disappointed at the lose for Hufflepuff. @Iris van Houten

Val was surprised to feel an arm around his shoulder and someone call out his name. He turned around to see the boy he had met on his trip with Lenny to obsidian harbour. Of course he hadn't really seen him in school and just had assumed that maybe he went to a different hogwarts and had just mistaken him. But here he was, in the same hogwarts as Val."Oh, hey. Jordie, right?" Val could never remember the names of other people properly. Gesturing at the empty seat beside him, he gave an awkward smile "Are you from the green house? The one with the... snake?" He asked, noticing the house jacket.

Jenna didn't want to tear her eyes from the game, but she glanced over when an older girl talked to her, looking for half a second before returning her gaze to Blake as she answered. "Yeahhhh, he's my brother!" She said excitedly, bouncing up and down. She didn't think she had ever found sports interesting before in her life, but Jenna found herself in awe as she watched her brother drop from the sky in what seemed like an impossibly dangerous death-dive. Just the thought of how scary that must be made her heart race. She watched as the opposing seeker chickened out of the race, cheering wildly for her brother. Her cheers only grew louder as she watched Blake emerge moments later, having gotten close enough to the ground that she was sure he was done for. But there it was, the golden snitch in his hand! "GO BLAAAAAKE!" Jenna screamed, jumping up and down in excitement. Even if she could never see herself playing, she could see some appeal in watching this. As long as Blake continued to win.
@Brooke Townsend

Jordie laughed, nodding. "Yeah, Jordie!" He grinned, watching the game a bit and wincing at the bludger hits. "Nah, I'm a Hufflepuff! Yellow, badger, lots of fun," He laughed lightly, watching the seekers zooming towards the ground. "This is my sister's jacket, she was captain with the seeker there last year, before she graduated," He explained, laughing louder as the Slytherin seeker- Blake? Yeah, Blake, he heard the name screamed out by a younger girl, as he caught the snitch. "Game over! The snakes won," He chuckled, keeping an arm over Val's shoulder. "Wanna go get some food?" He asked, looking over to Val.

@Valentine Addington

Val sighed, glad that he got the guy's name correct. Oh so that's what they were called, he really ought to pay more attention to names, he'd mistaken his house names more than a few times until he finally started to remember it. "Oh, that's cool." He looked back when he heard some obnoxiously loud girl screaming a player's name. He rolled his eyes and looked to see that the snake team had won as Jordie had said. "Yeah, sure." The boy's arm was still over his shoulder, and he wasn't sure whether to push it away, but he decided it was alright. He looked back to see if Lenny was still with the girl and after confirming it, he continued to walk back towards the castle with Jordie.

@Jordan Harris

"Oh, right! Jenna looked the game and Daintree who was realy good looking the broom and fly around. "I trust him and everythig was good if something going wrong i don't be mad and i'm gratefull for new expierence" Jenna never was drama qeen and she never wanted be with soumone if he don't wanted be but eveything was fine. Jenna smiled Nicol and looked the game and she was sad and Wendall was again dissapier.

@Nicole Fisk

Nicole had to cover her mouth as the two seekers dove straight down. Distantly, she was aware of Connor making a ridiculous shot with a bludger, but her eyes were still trained on the seeker. She let out a loud whoop of joy when the Hufflepuff seeker pulled back, leaving Blake to triumphantly scoop up the snitch. "Blake is so cool," She gushed to Jenna, grinning as Slytherin was announced the winner. "Are you and Daintree going to celebrate now?" She asked her coyly, giving Jenna a nudge. @Jenna Jusantrea

"Oh man, that sucks." Lysander said unenthusiastically in response to Kas mentioning that Paige had already taken a bludger hit. He still felt just a little bitter about her stealing Gryffindors win. "I dunno, it's still early." He shrugged, and turned to Emma with a small grin. "Yeah, Hufflepuf for sure." He told her. He kept his eyes on the match, both widening in shock as Connor managed to hit another player by bouncing the bludger off the pitch. "Circe's pigs, did you see Connor? What was that?" He gasped, giving both friends a shake on the shoulder to get them to look where he was looking. It was like he'd bewitched the bludger, or taken some liquid luck. He was impressed, but at the same time, he hoped it hadn't been intentional. He didn't want to have to try and compete with crazy trickshots. He frowned when Slytherin ended up catching the snitch not long after, slumping back in his seat. Dang. Jus when things were looking good for puff. He noticed Nicole whooping nearby, and leaned over his seat as he overheard her mention how cool Blake was. "Don't let Eric hear you say that." He teased, a little loudly.
@Emma van Houten @Kasim Safir

Giselle had trouble with holding back her anger while sitting with her Slytherin scarf. She didn´t cared if her house won or not. She was here on an mission and when the game started directly one person was hit by an bludger. Giselle had trouble with looking at it. Later on an beater hit herself?! when an bludger was living his own life how dangerous! What if you could not control it anymore? And than the same person who hit herself got hit again. Giselle made an note, but felt her fist together. She needed to get out of here, otherwise things would get broken. The blonde heard yells in the Slytherin area so figured they had won. Well how amazing.. The blonde than left the stands.

Brooke was intrigued to find out the younger girl was Blake's sister, making a mental note that she was probably a good person to know. There was only a limited number of positive things to be known for around the school, and there was know avoiding that the Quidditch team carried a lot of clout. "Oh, that's so cool. He's a great player." Brooke nodded at the girl, turning her own focus on back to the game as the seekers both entered a perilous looking dive. She couldn't help a whoop of surprise when Blake managed to pull out of the dive in time to snag the snitch, clapping and cheering along with the girl.

Salem was psyched for today's game. The last game had been pretty exciting, but this game actually had her house playing this time. Salem had never really gotten to cheer for anything she could consider a 'home team', despite having seeing a fair few sports games over the years, and it was fun to be properly invested in a team. She'd not been sure what sort of thing to bring to cheer with, and had ended up just wearing a red shirt and bring a red towel along to wave in the air as the game got started.

Elliot hadn't really been sure he wanted to come to today's game. He knew he could make excuses about having other things to do, but it would probably be smart to get some first-hand experience of how the other two teams were playing this year since Hufflepuff would be up against one of them next. He was still feeling a bit sore about his own performance from the last game, but Elliot wasn't fully ready to give up on his team's season yet. They had a solid chance at second place depending how today's game went, and he needed to focus on that and not his own cowardice. Taking a seat up near the back of the stands where it was quieter, Elliot watched as the game got underway with Gryffindor in possession.

It wasn't weird to be here, Blake had to remind himself constantly as he took a seat in the stands. He was a captain, it would be stranger if he wasn't checking out the competition. As long as that was all people thought he was checking out, things would be fine. He tried not to look like he was watching Lars, but it was hard to tear his eyes away. As gangly as the Ravenclaw was on land, he was enchanting on a broom, and Blake struggled to pay attention to the other players. He felt a spike of jealousy as Sully made what looked like a kissy face at Lars, struggling to keep himself in check. They were bros, Sully wouldn't be making kissy faces at Lars if he knew. It was just a good sign, a sign that he didn't know. Trying to keep his emotions in check, Blake kept watching, not knowing if he hoped Ravenclaw would win or not. Did he want to face Lars, as an opponent...?

TIlly found a spot in the stands next to other Hufflepuffs. While she was still salty about their loss against Slytherin, she knew it was good motivation to practice even more. She wasn’t sure who to cheer for, since she barely knew anyone on either team. Then, she remembered Sawyer had made alternate keeper for Ravenclaw. Even if he wasn’t playing, that was good enough reason for her to root for the eagles- for now. If Ravenclaw won, it would be all the more satisfying to crush them later.

Tilly whooped and hollered as one of the Ravenclaw beaters immediately whacked a Gryffindor beater with a bludger. Bring on the bruises and broken bones!

Then, when Gryffindor scored a goal, she booed loudly.
