Open The Stands

Salem leant forward as Gryffindor approached the hoops, leaping to her feet with a whoop as the chaser managed to score. Their beater also managed to hit the Ravenclaw seeker quickly after that and Salem waved her towel enthusiastically. She'd been right, games were way more fun when she was cheering for her own team for once.

Adorah was a little worried about today's game because her sister was playing. She was used to her friends getting beaten by bludgers, but it was different when it was family. As she made her way to the stands, she noticed Elliot nearby and snuck into a seat behind him. "Hey friend," she said giving him a smile as she watched the game unfold. Everything happened so quickly. She was very excited to see Juniper hit a Gryffindor playing and game a big cheer in support, but it wasn't long after that her sister was hit by a bludger. Her hands lept to her mouth as she gasped. Juniper was tough, and she knew she'd keep going, but it didn't mean that she wouldn't worry. Even if they didn't talk much.

@Elliot Briar

Elliot had to wince in sympathy as the teams exchanged a few bludgers. It always sucked to take a hit to early in the game, and he hoped Minnie could shake it off. He was engrossed in the game, watching as the Gryffindor chaser managed to get past Lars, that he hadn't noticed Adorah join him until she spoke, jumping slightly, though he hoped the cheering crowd covered the reaction. "Oh hey," He said, smiling at her. Elliot hadn't been sure who to cheer for, though he obviously leant towards Ravenclaw with Lars on the team, and having Adorah here made him feel more certain of the choice. She seemed concerned when one of the beaters took a bludger and belatedly realized it had to be her little sister out there. "I think it's the shock of the hit half the time that sucks the most," He said to her, hoping to ease her worry, though there was no getting around the fact that bludgers sucked.
@Adorah Zumwalt

Giselle doubted if she should come. But she needed to see for herself, how traumatic it would be for her to se people getting hit by an bludger. But she needed to be strong, and see the bigger cause in this. So she walked towards the stands and looked around. She than spotted Tilly and frowned, she was really angry at the girl for playing quidditch. Giselle went sitting close to her and when the game started she sighted. Quickly the bludgers were flying around and the seeker from Ravenclaw got hit. An Gryffindor girl got hit as well. That were already two in short time. Than another Ravenclaw got hit. And than the same seeker from Ravenclaw again. She felt her hands turning into an fist. And she heard Tilly being excited when people got hit from Gryffindor. '' Why are you cheering!!?'' She than said irritated as she looked at Tilly who was sitting close to her in front. Giselle already felt her blood boiling. Giselle had already enough prove of how dangerous the sport was in this game. Since there were so many people getting hit already.
@Tilly Drage

Chrissy was excited to see Gryffindor play. She had doubted to try out before, but she didn't believed she was good enough to play. It was excited to watch though. Probably her mother would freak out if she played, and she didn't want to get more negative attention than she already got. Since she was the black sheep already in her family. Chrissy went sitting down with her Gryffindor scarf and all excited to watch. When Gryffindor scored twice she cheered both times. '' GO GRYFFINDOR!'' she said loud and smiled at the other Gryffindor students. The beater was doing good as well, the seeker from Ravenclaw got hit twice already.

Iris had been feeling pretty torn about the match today. Her twin was playing, but so was her older brother. Was she supposed to root for Ravenclaw or Gryffindor? In the end, she had settled on both. Dressed in a combination of blue and red clothes, Iris made her way to the Quidditch stands, carrying both a sign for Lars and a sign for Emma. But she knew she would be cheering for Lysander too. it was tricky, with so many people she knew on the different teams. Iris held up both signs at once, though it was a bit of a struggle. "Go Emma! Go Lars!" She shouted. Lars wasn't doing so well so far, letting through two different goals. She hoped he wasn't feeling too down on himself. She knew how insecure he could be.

Eric was sitting in the stands, he had told himself he wouldn't watch any games where his brother wasn't playing, yet he was. He couldn't even pretend to himself that he was watching only for Gryffindor, because he didn't really care about Gryffindor or about quidditch. Even though he knew that it was kind of pathetic, he could admit deep down that he was here to see Minnie play. Not because he cared about her, but because he was curious. She had often gotten hurt in previous matches, and Eric just wanted to see if she did better now. But so far, the game wasn't promising. Eric felt his hands clench into fists at the second bludger hit to the Ravenclaw girl. It looked painful, and it was clear that Minnie was hurting. He watched her closely, wishing she would catch the snitch already.

Iris had been watching the seekers, curious about which one would catch the snitch first. She felt bad for the Ravenclaw girl, who had been hit twice already. So it took her a second to realize Emma had hit a bludger, and that it had hit Lars. She gasped. "EMMA!" She yelled in admonishment, as if her sister could hear her.

Tilly was absolutely ENVIOUS of the beaters in this game. They were getting in so many hits! The beaters were good, but also, maybe the other players just sucked at dodging bludgers?

She winced as the Ravenclaw seeker took a second hit and then Ravenclaw’s keeper got smacked as well. Tilly looked over her shoulder when she heard an all-too-familiar voice.

“I’m cheering for Ravenclaw,” Tilly said, knowing it wasn’t a great defense, but she knew she would never get through to Giselle. The Slytherin girl couldn't understand how fun Quidditch was, because she was so scared of people being hurt. “If Ravenclaw hits Gryffindor with bludgers, it could help Ravenclaw win,” she added matter-of-factly. “See, no one has left for the Hospital Wing. They’re all fine!”

@Giselle Rosenberg

Giselle rolled her eyes as Tilly spoke. Why cheering for Ravenclaw, it was not even her house. She looked at Tilly as she continued speaking.
'' So? I don't care.'' The blonde than said. She put her arms over eachother and sighted again. '' Why would you cheer when someone is in pain. It's horrible. You are brainwashed.'' The blonde than said. Since Tilly joined the quidditch team she was part of the followers that adored quidditch. '' Not yet. Game is not over.'' Giselle than replied. And who said they weren't paying an visit at the hospital wing after?

Nicole had come to game to cheer for Emma, despite how often she was jealous of her friend for being so cool and on a house quidditch team. She'd been ready to join Iris in the stands, smiling when she spotted her struggling with two signs, but then she'd seen Eric and suddenly had to divert. It was odd he was here, Connor wasn't playing, and he'd said he didn't really like quidditch when they were on their date (Nicole was still giddy that it had happened), so she was curious what had changed his mind. But Nicole wasn't about to complain, happily dropping into the seat next to him. "Hi! Hope you don't mind if I sit," She said, glancing back out to the game as the teams exchanged a few more bludgers and wincing in sympathy. "I'm cheering for Gryffindor too today, don't worry." @Eric Holland

Adorah nodded hesistantly when Elliot tried to reassure her about the bludgers. She knew he knew better than she did as she hadn't been on a broom since her first year. But it still worried her. If she got hit too many times or in the wrong place, she could end up in the hospital wing. "Right. It's just hard to watch," she said, wincing as she saw another player get hit. "Who are you cheering for today?" Adorah was usually unbiased, but today she was cheering strictly for Ravenclaw.

@Elliot Briar

Elliot nodded in sympathy, especially when not long after Lars took a bludger from his own sister. That had to be rough. "Oh, uh, Ravenclaw," He said, giving her a sheepish smile. "I think technically I'm here to take notes for my own team, but yeah. Ravenclaw." Elliot's attention was turned back to the game when he saw Sierra dive, feeling his stomach twist at the familiar sight of the deep dive. It was possible that she'd actually seen the snitch, but Elliot had to wonder if Sierra was trying a feint, his eyes scanning the ground of the pitch though he doubted he could spot the snitch from the stands. He stood up some to get a better view, trying not to feel so uneasy at the sight of the seekers diving after his own failure last game. @Adorah Zumwalt

Gryffindor scored again and Salem let out another cheer. Things were going really well and Salem was impressed with their team. Ravenclaw managed to get a shot in though, and then get in a rather dirty hit on their keeper too to add insult to injury. Her attention was drawn to the seekers though and Salem called out excitedly, hoping to egg on their seeker to get the snitch first as she dove down towards the ground.

Eric was only looking at Minnie as the game continued, wincing every time a bludger came near her. He was rooting for her, not even for her house. He knew how down she had been, and knew what winning the mwtach would mean for her. He looked up distractedly as he was suddenly joined by Nicole. Eric bit back a curse, feeling oddly guilty for watching Minnie now. He had gone on a date with Nicole, did that mean they were now going to be together? She certainly seemed interested in him, and that was flattering. He doubted she would be happy he had been looking only at Minnie, but it hadn't been like that. "Uh, sure." He said, looking back at the pitch. He made a distracted noise of agreement as Nicole mentioned rooting for Gryffindor, not bothering to correct her assumption. He didn't know how to explain that he wasn't here to root for his own house. The game continued, and while the chasers did things and it seemed like Gryffindor was still in the lead, Eric's eyes stayed trained on Minnie. So he saw it at once when the bludger headed her way, and knew it would be the end for her before it even made contact. He couldn't help the low curse that escaped him, and he felt the urge to jump up and rush to the hospital wing as he had done last time. But Nicole sitting next to him stopped him. He couldn't explain it to her, he could barely explain it to himself. And clearly she had picked to sit next to him, it would be weird and kind of mean to abandon her suddenly with no explanation. Eric grit his teeth, watching as Minnie was escorted off the pitch. He then shot a glare at the beater that had done it, the redheaded girl he vaguely knew to hang out with Connor. She looked happy about all this. Eric instantly disliked her.

@Nicole Fisk

Adorah was glad Elliot was here supporting Ravenclaw. Gryffindor probably didn't need the extra ego boosts anyway, and seeing as how Ravenclaw kept getting hit, she thought it was good to give them some more support. Unfortunately, she gasped again when her roomate was hit for the third time and taken out of the game. She had felt bad for the girl what with not becoming a prefect and then hearing through the grapevine about romantic troubles. She had hoped they would win together so maybe Minnie's spirits would be lifted, but that didn't seem to be the case. "That's gonna hurt tomorrow," she said to Elliot. "Are you trying to look so you can get a one up on us?" she asked him curiously, not trying to prod too much but wondering what it was like to be a leader of a sports team.

Blake was careful to keep his expression neutral as he watched the game, as much as he didn't want to. He was just a rival captain, observing the competition. Nothing else to it. It was impossible to disguise the shock that flickered across his face when Lars took a hit. It looked painful, and the blow had come from his own sister, if Blake wasn't mistaken. Had that been an accident, or...? He kept watching, gut clenching as Minnie was taken out of the match. Though Blake couldn't really decide whether needing to face Lars in the finals would be for the better or worse in the end, he couldn't help the part of him that just wanted to see Lars succeed for the Ravenclaw's own sake. Ravenclaw's alternate looked worryingly green, but after Ruben's performance in Slytherin's own practice, Blake didn't want to discount any newer players out of hand. As the game progressed Blake watched with a mixture of emotion and analysis, trying not only to watch Lars, but to take in the teams' different strategies; Ravenclaw with a focus on Quaffle possession, and Gryffindor employing a bludger-heavy strategy similar to Slytherin's. It was all important information to have, regardless of who won this match.

Nicole smiled at Eric, making herself more comfortable. She was even feeling bold enough to set her hand down on the seat in just the right spot that it might brush Eric's by accident before watching the game. She had to gasp as Minnie was knocked out of the game by a solid hit from Emma, and while she felt bad for Minnie, she couldn't help but cheer. "Wow, nice hit, Emma!" She said excitedly, glancing at Eric and stilling at his serious expression. "Don't worry, I'm sure Sierra will get the snitch soon, especially with how great our beaters are playing," She said, turning back as the game continued. But then Emma was also knocked out of the game and Nicole made a sad noise. She always struggled about feeling jealous around Emma, but she hadn't wanted her to get hit for it. "Oh no, poor Emma," She said, glancing over at Iris nearby in the stands. Nicole hoped the game would end soon without anyone else getting hurt, glancing down at the Ravenclaw bench where Ajax was sitting, hopefully safely. But she didn't need to watch much longer, with Sierra catching the snitch not long after the whistle was blown. Nicole let out a cheer, jumping to her feet to clap for the seeker and turning to Eric gleefully, bouncing on her feet. "We won, yess!" Nicole was tempted to try to hug Eric, or even high five him, but he'd seemed so moody earlier that she lost her nerve before she could. @Eric Holland

Tilly shrugged at Giselle. “I don’t think I’m brainwashed. I just like sports.” She ate her own words about players being hurt when the main Ravenclaw seeker, and then a beater was forced off the pitch. Tilly winced in sympathy. The bludgers were having a field day during this game.

The Hufflepuff groaned loudly when Gryffindor’s seeker caught the snitch. Lame.

@Giselle Rosenberg

When Giselle looked at the game and still in conversation with Tilly she sighted. She rolled her eyes at what the girl said and when she heard noices and noticed how the seeker for Ravenclaw was hit third time she seemed really hurt. '' TOLD YOU!'' The blonde said and felt really angry. When an gryffindor girl was out of the game as well, and the game got paused the second time she felt her blood boiling. '' Fun right? THERE IS NOTHING FUN ABOUT THIS!'' she screamed harder. And looked around. '' THIS IS RIDICULOUS, CRAZY!'' the blonde than shook her head and was about to leave this traumatic place for her.
@Tilly Drage

The moment Emma got hit by the third bludger, Iris dropped her signs and started to push her way past other people in the stands. She knew Lars would understand that she didn't stick around to finish the game, knew that it was her responsiblity to make sure Emma was alright. She left her signs behind as she left the stands, running back to the castle to see how her sister was doing. As she left, she heard cheers erupt behind her and knew one of the two teams had won, but she didn't care to find out which one. All she wanted was to see her sister.

All Eric wanted to do was leave the game after Minnie had been taken out, but Nicole's presence stopped him. He winced as she cheered for the girl who had hit her, trying not to show his anger. "Right." He said as she assured him Sierra would get the snitch soon, as if he cared about that. Eric felt some vindication when the beater who had taken out Minnie got taken out herself. She deserved that, in his eyes. But for Nicole's sake, he made sure not to smile as the girl was taken away from the pitch. He knew that she would probably be kind of freaked out. Besides, the girl did look very upset, and Eric wasn't exactly happy to see a girl cry. It had just been a bit worse to see Minnie cry. It didn't take long for the game to end after that, and Eric was almost glad. Though he felt a pang of sadness as he realized Minnie would have to hear her team lost. But it wouldn't be him giving her the news. He was going to leave her alone. It wasn't his place to go to her side, they were barely friends. He forced a smile as Nicole cheered next to him, looking at her. He had to focus on a girl that actually liked him, a nice girl that clearly wanted to date him. Minnie had picked Noel over him, and then she had picked her parent's wishes over Noel. Who was he kidding, he had never even been in the equation. If Minnie's parents disapproved of shining knight Noel, they would disown her for even being his friend. He grinned at Nicole and then reached over to touch her shoulder, feeling only slightly awkward. "We did." He said. "Thanks for sitting with me."

@Nicole Fisk

Before Elliot could see if Sierra was feinting or not, Minnie was taken out of the game by a nasty bludger and he hissed in sympathy. "Yeah.. Thankfully the nurses are pretty good with the physical pain. The wounded pride takes a bit longer," He said sympathetically. "I mean, it never hurts to see what you're up against," He told Adorah sheepishly, wincing as another player was knocked out of the game. "Like I guess I should be ready for some fierce beaters no matter who wins," He said, though it wasn't long after the game resumed that Sierra managed to nab the snitch, leaving Ravenclaw's poor alt seeker in the dust. Elliot clapped gamely, giving Adorah a resigned shrug. He at least knew how bad Lars and Minnie probably felt right now, though he had to be thankful he'd never been knocked out of a game before it ended. Yet. "Well, I guess we're up against Ravenclaw then," He said, getting to his feet and watching with concern as that Rosenberg girl he'd broken up a fight with earlier was yelling nearby in the stands, and that one of his players seemed to be involved. "Oh, hold on, we might need to keep an eye on this..." He said, tapping Adorah's shoulder. Thankfully, it seemed like the girl was going to leave without any fists flying this time, but he wanted to be sure. @Adorah Zumwalt

Nicole felt bad for not sitting with her friend when she saw Iris leave the stands, deciding she'd pick up the signs she'd dropped for her as they left the stands themselves. Any regret though evacuated when Eric put his hand on her shoulder and thanked her fir sitting with him. Nicole had originally decided to date Eric for his reputation alone, the idea of being seen with such a bad boy type being just the sort of image she wanted to stand out, but she'd been surprised when he'd been rather sweet to her, like now. Her face flushed at the contact and she just beamed at him, nodding as she got to her feet. "Of course, any time! Like uh, maybe we could get lunch together later at the hall or something? And I could sit with you then too," She said in a rush, feeling bold after the game win and the shoulder touch (which she was definitely telling Jenna and Iris about later). @Eric Holland

Adorah was a little worried about her roommate having to leave when another student was sent off the field, two of the hits causing the exit by her sister. This was why it was so difficult to support one team or the other. She worried too much about people. Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff seemed to be generally less aggressive teams so she wasn't upset by the fact they would play each other. Hopefully it would go better for her house next time. She stood up to gather her things when she felt Elliot tap her shoulder and point to a young student having an outburst. "Uh, that's not good." Adorah couldn't quite make out what the student was yelling about exactly, but she hoped she'd calm down so she could stop in to check on Minnie. @Elliot Briar
