What is up everyone! Welcome back to another BWU by yours truly. We have quite a lot to get through so, let's just get stuck in.
Sorting!
The most exciting point of the year is upon us: Sorting! You'll have likely already noticed it on going but if you haven't yet come check out this topic Here. If you want to get sorted then follow the instructions found here. Sorting will be open for a little while yet so plenty of time to create a new character and get them sorted! Be sure to do it before its too late. If you have an older character whom you would like to try to transfer into the school then go here for all of that information. Transfer applications will close on Wednesday so if you have someone to transfer do not delay!
End of Year 33
Given that we are in the sorting period, that means that the end of Y33 has come about. Hufflepuff won the house cup as is obvious by our hufflepuff theme on the board. This is the second year in a row that they've won it, so everyone's got to pull their socks up in the next year to ensure they don't win it for a third year in a row. Other than that if you want to read more about the end of term you can head over to this topic here, or if you want your character to react to the end of the year, the house cup and top points head over to this topic here.
Professor Applications
There are a couple of professor apps available! You can find them here. They are a good position to have at hogwarts, allowing you to help out in the running of HNZ. It does require a lot of work so we'd encourage anyone thinking about applying to make sure they have the time to do so. It is a rewarding position on HNZ as well as very fun! The applications for Professor will close on thursday, so be sure to get your applications in before then.
Shopkeeper Applications
Additionally we have a few shopkeeper applications going, you can find those here. Shopkeepers are a good and fun position in HNZ if you're looking for a profession for a recent or not so recent graduate. You get to interact with different people in your shop and do things to encourage clientele to come to you. It's a really position to have so head here to check them out.
Y34 soon
Soon enough Y34 will begin, so folk will soon receive prefect promotions, quidditch try-outs will soon be available and the year will begin. The club fair and other sorts of fun activities for your character to take part in will begin shortly so be on the look out for any of that.
Graduation Wrap Up
The graduation ceremony and that section of the site will be closing on Wednesday, so any last minute graduates or guests should head over there quickly before its too late. Attempt to wrap up any topics in that area before you can't anymore. Final promotions for all those in the graduates group will take place likely on Wednesday too once the area has been closed, so be sure to wrap up any topics taking place in Hogwarts before its too late!
Applications
We would like to take a moment to remind folk that will some applications are open, that most at this current point are closed. We will announce once the new year is up and running when apps will reopen. Be on the look out for that. Currently the open apps are general requests, galleons, playby changes, professor and shopkeeper apps, the rest are closed, even if you can access the form. We thank you guys for your patience with that at this time.
Competition
In case you haven't seen it yet, we've got a competition going to get the sorting hat a new icon. Head on over here to read all of the information regarding it, look at your competition and give it a try, the rewards will certainly be worth the work put into it. The competition will move quickly so be sure to get your entries in before it's too late.
Spotlight
We have a new spotlight! Mark Ross played by Deniss is our July Spotlight, head on over to this topic here to read his answers to the questionnaire and to pose your own questions for him to answer or to just offer him some congratulations. Mark Ross is a really excellent character and everyone should check out the topic, his biography and the character themselves. Congratulations Deniss!
