Y38 Gryffindor Quidditch Practice S1

Chloë grimaced when Knox was hit by a bludger right after the quaffle, setting out to follow when he started moving to the other side of the pitch.

Lysander lowered his bat and swept his broom around, keeping an eye out for Emma in case she sent any bludgers toward his own team.

Flying towards the hoops, Skylar had felt hopeful that she might be able to score, but when Emma accidentally sent a bludger hurtling through the air near her, she couldn’t help but be surprised even if it was quite far away from her, since that was pretty much her first time she’d even come near a bludger properly in action. Those brief few seconds when she’d been distracted gave Sully the perfect chance to steal the quaffle from her, and Skylar looked at him in bewilderment as he flew off with it. She hadn’t even had time to process what had happened in the span of those few seconds and he was already at the other end of the pitch and, as could have been expected, he scored again. Shaking her head to focus back on the game she saw Knox had the quaffle, and flew back to him, hoping he’d be able to score, and Team Gold could begin to catch up to Team Scarlet.

There was still no sign of anything. He had some brief hope when he thought he saw something shiny near the stands, but flying closer it just seemed to be a sweet wrapper.

Lysander searched for another bludger, speeding off across the pitch.

Emma was chasing after another bludger, but missed another hit. She was getting a bit frustrated.

Had the snitch just flown off and abandoned the pitch? He was starting to consider it seeing as he couldn't find it anywhere.

The beaters weren't giving the chasers a break today, and Sully winced in sympathy when Knox took a bludger. To his credit, he held onto the quaffle though, and Sully let out a small whoop as he took after Knox and the other chasers as they headed towards the other side of the pitch.

Nikko watched carefully as Knox grabbed the quaffle and almost immediately got hit by a bludger. He winced but stayed alert and got ready to block.

There was still no sign of the snitch.

Flying a bit in front of Knox, Skylar kept her eyes peeled for any signs of bludgers around her, but she seemed to be one of the lucky ones today since she hadn't yet been hit.

Nikko stayed ready in front of the hoops, ready to block.

Lysander swung his bat at another passing bludger, watching as it sailed once again into @Noel Waldgrave.

Sully shared a quick glance with Chloë, grinning before he shot forward, knocking into Knox and again wresting the quaffle from his grip. One arm around the quaffle, he quickly swerved around, heading back towards Ronald hopefully before the team gold chasers could react.

Skylar had been watching out for bludgers but also keeping an eye on Knox as he flew with the quaffle, so she saw Sully as he flew closer to her teammate. A bit too close... “Knox watch out!” She tried to warn him, knowing that any second now Sully would try to steal the quaffle, but the words came out of her mouth a bit too late and she watched helplessly as Sully got the quaffle yet again. Frowning in frustration, she turned around and followed him, wondering whether he’d score yet again.

Ronald ready to protect their hoops and he wishes he could make his team proud.

Sully was moving quickly, not slowing down as he flung the quaffle to the hoops. This time, Ronald did manage to catch it and Sully groaned. "Good catch," he said begrudgingly, hovering back to wait the quaffle being thrown back in.

Ronald felt that he is so helpful to focus to catch the quaffle and then he executes the moves that he needs to snatch a quaffle. Ronald reply to Sully "thanks bro", then Ronald threw the quaffle back to Skylar.

Skylar cheered as Ronald managed to block the quaffle from going in the hoop. “Good Job Ronald!!” she called out, and reached out to catch the quaffle as he threw it back in. She felt it land in her grasp and she grinned, pleased she hadn’t even fumbled it much and turned around to fly to the other end of the pitch.

When Sully glanced at her and grinned Chloë knew exactly what he was planning, already getting ready to turn around and head back to the other side should his action succeed. It was good to see Ronald catch the quaffle when they reached the hoops, especially since they had already scored plenty of times. She swerved around to chase after Skylar once the younger girl caught the quaffle.

Flying towards the hoops, Skylar felt quite nervous to see how it would go and whether or not she’d score. She knew it was her first proper quidditch practice so she wasn’t expected to be perfect but even so, after seeing Chloë and Sully score so many goals, she felt as though she should score a few as well at least. Steeling her nerves, she threw the quaffle into the right hoop but felt her stomach drop in disappointment as Nikko blocked it. It was good that he did since it meant he was a good keeper, but at the same time she’d really hoped to prove herself and help Team Gold catch up to Team Scarlet. Sighing, she turned back the game to see who’d get the quaffle next, and no doubt score another goal as well.

The Quidditch gods hated him, that had to be it. It was like the snitch and ceased to exist and he was searching for absolutely nothing.

Chloë was curious to see how Skylar would do. She had already scored once which was good, but Nikko had been waiting so long for the quaffle to come back his way he had to be more than prepared. “Good shot!” She called out to the younger girl. Even if it was blocked it had still been a solid attempt. Chloë caught the quaffle when Nikko threw it back out again, locking it under her arm and circling around to head back across the pitch.

Chloë continued her way down the pitch, trying to speed up a little as she did.

Emma took another swing at the bludger she had been chasing, missing it by a hair.
