Y38 Gryffindor Quidditch Practice S1

(certainly one way of looking at it :teehee: )

Nothing. Nothing at all. Where on earth had the bloody snitch flown off to?

Nikko was glad he was finally getting a chance to practice. The chasers were always persistent and it was nice to see the newer additions getting the hang of things.

Sully had done a quick loop, keeping an eye on Chloë and the other chasers. Skylar was the biggest threat right now, but she'd just taken a bludger so Sully figured he could get past her easy enough. He considered passing, but decided to try and dodge around the chasers and score. Unfortunately, while he could get past them, he couldn't get past Ronald, who'd definitely warmed up since the start of the game, and blocked his shot.

Chloë winced when she saw Skylar get hit by a bludger, knowing first hits always hurt. She flew after Sully as he made off with the quaffle, hoovering in place when his shot was blocked and she waited for the quaffle to get thrown back out again.

After Ronald had thrown the quaffle out, Skylar had attempted to catch it again, but instead got hit by a budger. "Ow!" she couldn't help but cry out, the shock of being hit the first time being worse than she'd expected. She'd thought it wouldn't be too bad, maybe just like getting hit by the ball in soccer, but this was definitely worse. She didn't want to look like she couldn't handle anything though, so she blinked back the involuntary tears and somehow managed to catch the quaffle after Ronald had thrown it out after Sully had scored, which she'd barely even realised had happened. Turning around a bit shakily, she began to make her way across the pitch again.

Chloë was glad to see Skylar pushing through and catching the quaffle after her bludger hit, turning to follow. She had no doubt it hurt, especially since the younger girl hadn’t ever felt a bludger hit before.

Sully really wanted another goal to match Chloë's from before, so he took off after Skylar as she took the quaffle.

Nikko got ready to defend the hoops as he watched Skylar grab the quaffle and head his way.

Nearing the hoops, Skylar tried to focus on just getting the quaffle in. The pain from the bludger was still there, and she had no idea how people put up with constantly getting hit in the proper matches. She tried to throw the quaffle into the right hoop, but frowned as it didn't make it. Again. But this time she was still sore from the bludger so she didn't mind as much.

Flynn had more or less just given up at this point, sitting back on his broom and simply watching what everyone else were up to.

Chloë caught the quaffle when it was thrown back out after Skylar’s attempt, circling around to head back to the other side of the pitch.

Nikko was metaphorically on his toes as Skylar approached and noticed as she looked towards the right hoop moments before throwing the quaffle. But it was just enough of a tip off and he quickly moved to block the shot. He grinned as he threw it back to the chasers, proud of his save.

Ronald focuses again to guard his hoops and waiting for what will happen when Chloe tries again to score.

Her arm still aching a bit, Skylar followed Chloë as she flew to the hoops with the quaffle, wondering whether she’d score or not, and prepared to catch it when the quaffle would be thrown back in.

Chloë continued her way towards the hoops, keeping an eye out for the other chasers to see if she’d be able to pass to Sully.

"Go on guys!" He simply cheered from where he had chosen to stop and watch. If the snitch had decided to bugger off then he wasn't going to waste his time looking for something that clearly wasn't there.

Skylar grinned as Flynn cheered them on, and even though he didn't seem to be doing too well with finding the snitch, she was sure the match against Slytherin would go better. And besides she wasn't doing too well either, so who was she to judge? She decided to just keep following Chloë, noticing that she was looking around, probably for Sully, so she made sure to keep close to both of them, just in case Chloë tried to pass.

As she looked back Chloë noticed Skylar getting closer, causing her to try and speed up a little to keep the younger chaser behind her as she moved on to the hoops. She aimed for the right hoop once she reached them, turning around to grin at Sully when her shot made it through once again. Nevertheless, she knew things were a little bit easier for them this practice since Ronald had only just joined the team.

At least the chasers were still playing well and Flynn clapped when Chloe scored again, "Good shot!"

Ronald shrugged and sighed when the quaffle once enter at the right hoop, and then he realized "Practice make Perfect" Ronald embracing this quote and try to motivate himself that in actual Play if ever he plays at the match he tries his 100 percent to win our 1st match, Ronald smiling to think of that and so glad that he makes at Gryffindor Quidditch team was one of the lifetime experience and he doesn't want this opportunity, Ronald shout the name of his teammate "Noel catch the quaffle" and do a "thumbs up" to Chloe to always challenge me to give my best at this practice game

Emma was feeling pretty guilty for hitting Skylar, and stayed far away from the young chaser so she wouldn't have to think about it too much.

Skylar smiled as Chloë scored, happy that she was doing well this practice. Grabbing the quaffle as Ronald threw it back out, she winced a bit as she caught it, but the pain in her arm from the bludger was decreasing, which was a good thing. She wasted no time and headed off straight to the other end of the pitch, where she tried to throw the quaffle into the centre hoop, but failed again. She was definitely beginning to get quite discouraged at this point, but tried not to let it get to her as she turned to see who would catch it next, and who she'd have to follow.

He supposed it was interesting just to sit back and watch the practice, but he would rather find the snitch. But Flynn was simply convinced it had flown off at this point and wasn't coming back.

Sully backed up Chloë as she took the quaffle, cheering loudly when she managed to make her shot. Skylar seemed worn out from all the hard work she was putting in, not that he blamed her, but he still kept a close eye on her as Ronald threw the quaffle back in, not wanting to underestimate their new players anymore.
