Week 5 already?!
The weeks are just flying by, aren't they? We are currently in week 5 and ask that professors please catch up if you aren't currently. If you need any assistance getting your lessons posted, please don't hesitate to reach out a member of site staff. We also ask that you begin to catch up on grading and let us know if you need any assistance there. Finally, students - don't let up! Earn those house points for your houses. Especially Gryffindors!
Halloween
The festivities of the Halloween event have come to a close, but there's still the costume contest results to look forward to! Good luck to everyone who entered the contest! There were some fun costumes.
New shopkeeper!
Makutu Dinette has an all new shopkeeper, Elizabeth Wespurt!
Congratulations to Jamie on the position and thank you to everyone who applied. It seems that the dinette is also hiring for some staff. 
Don't forget your yearbook photos!
Make sure you get those pictures in for your year and your clubs. 7th years: Don't forget to answer the PM you received for the yearbook.
Quidditch!
The quidditch season is underway! Most recently, Gryffindor took the victory over Ravenclaw but there is still plenty of season left! Join the quidditch chat here.

I can't believe this is our 11th celebration!
A purple takes a step back
In the next few days, Claire will be taking a step back from GMing on the site so that she can better enjoy the site without the responsibilities that being a GM demands. Claire first joined the team about 4 1/2 years ago!
We want to take a moment to thank Claire for being such a kind, helpful GM and are sure she'll continue to be a kind, helpful member.

Our birthday celebrations are coming to a close. It's been fun celebrating with you all, watching all of the fun games and how excited and into the games you all have been. We hope you've enjoyed it all. Finally, we want to offer a congratulation to all of the winners of all of the events that were held throughout our birthday celebrations! Topics will find their way to new homes but you can feel free to continue the conversation in them for as long as you'd like.

If you think you have some time, we encourage all site members to try their hand at creating banners for your fellow site members! And if it feels like something you'd like to be doing on a more regular basis, feel free to message an admin to join the banner maker's group!

- Etiquette - Sapphire takes a break in the kitchens to relax with a much needed bowl of chocolate cake mix. Keeper Mordred Cavanaugh does not approve.
- Out of Sight - After Lars told Lily they couldn't be friends anymore and he needed time, the two kept their distance. She tried to be supportive and give him the time he needed, but the longer he was away from her, the more her hurt grew until finally- finally it was all too much, and she was forced to lash out at the boy that had once been one of her closest friends.
