--Astronomy: Estrella has never cared for this subject. She believes that the stories behind different constellation and the different symbols are interesting, but that's about it. She could care less about balls of gas. While she did well in this course, she dropped it at the first opportunity.
--Transfiguration: This subject became more and more difficult for Estrella as the years progressed. She was embarrassed by her lacking performance in this class and eventually came to hate it. Needless to say, Transfiguration took a few shots at Estrella's bloated Ravenclaw pride.
Favorite instructors: Freya Heimdall, Arithmos Manteia, Lola Rowann
--Heimdall: Estrella liked Professor Heimdall as both a professor and a person. She never really needed it, but she felt that she would be able to talk to her about anything had the issue been troubling enough.
--Manteia: While Manteia frightened and intimidated Estrella at first (something she shared with her peers,) she came to respect him and appreciate him as an instructor and an authority figure. She enjoyed how interesting and structured Arithmancy class was. She'll never forget his schooling of a pair of unruly Slytherins.
--Rowann: Defense Against the Dark Arts was never Estrella's favorite subject. However, she loved the class and the way Professor Rowann ran it. She might have only been Estrella's professor for a few years, but she definitely made an impact on the Ravenclaw student.

Estrella and Jaken met during their fifth year at Hogwarts New Zealand. She was a Ravenclaw prefect and he a Slytherin transfer student from Durmstrang. They became friends, later started to date, and then fell in love. Jaken proposed to Estrella during the feast ending their seventh year at school. They were married in June of 2023 and had their first daughter, Olivia, in March of 2024. Jaken was an auror for the New Zealand ministry before being wounded. His second daughter, Lydia, was born on his birthday in September of 2025. Jaken was murdered in April of 2026. His sons, Slade and Seth, were born months later in September of 2026.

Tristan was not present for a large chunk of Estrella's younger life. Tristan attended Hogwarts Scotland and was sorted into Ravenclaw house. Tristan is a pure-blood, was formerly a dark arts practitioner and briefly a Death Eater. He worked as a self-employed Healer, assisting those who needed medical attention and did not want the Ministry to catch wind of their activities. He later married a Muggle and moved to northern Canada.

Lorelei was Estrella's mother. She was an American muggle who had traveled to England, lived there and later had Estrella. She perished in a tube accident during the holidays when Estrella was five.

While being Estrella's stepmother, Julie is also her second cousin from Lorelei's side of the family. Julie is a muggle, married to Tristan, and works at a hospital in Canada.

Erik is a pure-blood, high-energy child who has an affinity for flying. He is the second of Tristan's illegitimate sons. Erik loves to have fun, is a Hufflepuff at Hogwarts New Zealand, and often finds himself in trouble at school and at home.

Christian is another of Tristan's illegitimate sons. He is also pure-blooded. He and Estrella have a strong attachment as brother and sister. He recently lost his mother, Thorine Dolohov, and he's now living with Julie, Tristan, and his siblings.

Evan is Estrella's only biological sister and a half-blood. She is a toddler and likes to get into anything and everything.

Harper has been with her owner since Estrella was in her first year at Hogwarts New Zealand. She has been Estrella's faithful companion for well over a decade. While she is getting on in years, Harper is still able to carry messages over short distances. This aged bird gets along well with the other family owl, Arithmos, even though she lets him know who really owns the skies.

Arithmos is a highly intelligent and cautious creature. He came to Estrella and Jaken's little family in 2025, being a present from wife to husband. The couple named him after one of their favorite professors from Hogwarts New Zealand. Being the younger of the two family owls, he is responsible for most of the long distance mail carrying. Like Harper, he has an affinity for mice.[/li][/ul]

 

[Estrella Drage]

Lorelei Bennett and Tristan Drage were no amorous couple; their acquaintance was the result of a bet. Tristan, a young pure-blood wizard, was all too eager to gamble with his brother Sammael. The loud-mouthed Tristan boasted that he could seduce the first woman he laid eyes on (without magical means.) Sammael bet against Tristan's ability to do this, and they both wagered treasured possessions. The first female that Tristan ran into outside of a pub in Liverpool was Lorelei Bennett, a 22 year-old muggle exchange student. She had managed to become lost on her way from the market to her apartment. With smooth words and persistence, he managed to woo the naive woman and win the bet.

Feeling overconfident, Tristan decided it would be fun to lead the woman on. The couple became involved in a "relationship" that lasted barely three months. Just before Tristan called it quits, Lorelei told him that she was pregnant. Tristan was doubtful and angry at first, but he finally came to accept the fact that he was a father. However, that didn't mean he was a good one.

Estrella Dorothea Drage was born to Lorelei and Tristan on February 18, 2005. She lived in Liverpool with her mother as a child. Her father was around every once in a while. He took the opportunity on every one of his visits to teach her about the magical world. Tristan was supposed to take care of her for the holidays one year, but he never picked her up. Lorelei decided to take Estrella to the United States for the holidays instead, and possibly for good. Unfortunately, on the way to the airport, mother and daughter were victims of a tram accident. Estrella was unharmed; however, Lorelei was not so lucky. She passed away on Christmas eve of 2009.

Since Tristan was nowhere to be found, Estrella was sent to live with her Uncle Carl and Aunt Maggie. The "orphaned" girl was raised with her cousin, Luke. She came to see the Bennetts as her family, but always wondered what had happened to her father. Estrella, who had lived as a muggle for several years, was reminded of her magical roots when she opened her letter from Hogwarts New Zealand.

Most 11-year-olds didn't get to travel to the other side of the planet. Estrella was one of the few lucky ones. While her father had attended Hogwarts Scotland, the letter had informed her, the old school was simply too full. A new branch of Hogwarts had opened in New Zealand, and Estrella had been invited to be part of the institution's first graduating class. Estrella didn't know what she was in for. She wasn't a particularly brave child, but she wanted to find out more about herself. Her letter of acceptance plunged her into a world that she'd only dipped her toes in before.

Estrella, who was an intelligent and determined eleven-year-old, was sorted into Ravenclaw house. She managed to befriend individuals from all four houses. Her best friend, however, was Rose Landers, a fellow eagle and roommate. Both girls enjoyed exploring the castle and grounds together, almost as if they owned it. At one point, they were caught in the Forbidden Forest by their DADA professor, Nicolas King. They were luckily let off the hook. Estrella did well in her classes and loved nearly all of them. The seasons took a nasty turn when Rose was murdered by the haunts of the Borely Mansion. During winter break, Estrella discovered that her father was alive; to her dismay, he was also a Death Eater.

While this wasn't Estrella's best year, it still had its perks. She managed to run into some trouble with her friends over the holidays. In the era when HNZ only had club teams, Estrella was picked as a keeper for the Opaleye Assault, captained by Gryffindor Bruin Dumbledez. Club teams were dissolved in later years. She and Slytherin Sophia Stark (Sammael's daughter) discovered that they were cousins. This was the year she started dating Slytherin Kale Thomas.

Estrella remembers third year as one of her best. She was appointed the title of Ravenclaw prefect along with Courtney Potter. Estrella took on the electives of Arithmancy, Ancient Runes and Care of Magical Creatures. At this time, she continued to date Kale, was at the top of her class, and had several friends. She was contacted by her grandfather, Valcan Drage, who later became her legal guardian. She spent her winter break wandering his isolated home in Norway, reading books and finding out more about her wizarding family. At the end of break, Estrella and Courtney ran into some trouble with the owner of the Silver Snake, Luxen Silverback, and had to be rescued from a rather unpleasant situation by Estrella's godfather, Joshua Hanson.

Change wanders into teenage lives unannounced. Fourth year was the time in which change breezed past Estrella's doorstep. Kale dumped her immediately after school began. She was subject to mood swings and often lashed out at the people she cared about. She was particularly furious with Kaela McIlvoy, a fellow Ravenclaw and friend who was dating her ex. During this time, Estrella made a point to keep to herself. She passed more days with books and pens than she did her peers. Things began to look up for the Ravenclaw when the year came to a stop.

Unfortunately for her shoulders, Estrella swapped one heavy load for another. She dropped her emotional burdens and gained a heap of notes, notes, and more notes. The Ravenclaw would be doing nothing but studying for the rest of the year, she feared. Fifth year presented more than its share of distractions. Estrella became friends with a Durmstrang Transfer, Jaken Styx. The Tri-Wizard Tournament brought students from Hogwarts Scotland and Durmstrang to New Zealand. Estrella skipped the first Tri-Wizard event with Katerina, a bookish Durmstrang fifth year. Estrella and Jaken began dating after the Yule Ball. The year saw the conclusion to a Brotherhood-Sized Bet that would be talked about for ages to come. Hard work paid off for Estrella; she passed all of her OWL examinations, even if they were difficult by a Ravenclaw's standards.

In sixth year, Estrella exchanged her duties as a prefect for an even more challenging position- Head Girl. Along with Bruin, the Head Boy, she now had the added task of supervising the Prefects. Estrella took her new opportunities seriously. Even though she had the opportunity to drop virtually all of her classes, Estrella decided to drop only two- Care of Magical Creatures and Astronomy. Things were a little less stressful with OWLs out of the way. Estrella and Jaken remained a couple throughout this whole year. The school's Head Girl managed to live and help out with the greatest prank Hogwarts New Zealand had ever witnessed.

Estrella's seventh year took off on a sour note. Due to an explosion of issues over the break, which involved an encounter with a certain Durmstrang gang over break, Estrella and Jaken broke up. Although she was upset over the whole matter, Estrella had to admit it was easier not being in a relationship when NEWTs were approaching. She spent most of this year studying and relaxing. Although they had broken up, envy flared amongst the former couple during the annual Yule Ball. Coincidence brought them both to the North Tower, where words and a kiss brought them to an agreement; if they were going to be in a relationship, they would have to wait until exams were over. Shortly after, Estrella left for Australia with Cyndi, where the two vacationed under the sun. Life consisted of two things after the holidays; NEWTs and Quidditch. When she wasn't turning her brain to soup with theory and wandwork, Estrella was gearing up for a game. The eagles tore their way to victory through snakes, badgers and lions, captained by the ever calculating Lily Potter. Ravenclaw may not have secured the house cup, but dominating HNZ's first real Quidditch tournament was a cherry on top of seven years of schooling. NEWT examinations and graduation came along all too soon. Estrella's last End of Year Feast was also her most surprising. Falling to one knee, Jaken professed his love for the Ravenclaw and proposed in front of the entire school. Estrella accepted the ring, still uncertain of the road ahead of her. It was difficult to part with yet another home. Now, Estrella would have to make her own.

Married to her school sweetheart within a month of graduation, Estrella was not prepared for what lay ahead. She moved to Russia with her husband, who was temporarily an auror for the ministry there. The experience was nothing less than unsettling. In a land where she knew neither the language nor a familiar face, the Ravenclaw alumnus was left to wallow in boredom. She later discovered that she was pregnant with her first child. Nervous and frightened about this predicament, Estrella kept this information to herself. She later revealed the news at a dinner with three close family members and two in-laws.

Estrella gave birth to Olivia Namina on March 27, 2024. She and Jaken relocated to New Zealand, to a small cottage home just outside of Obsidian Harbor. Estrella was able to return to Hogwarts New Zealand as a Charms professor-in-training during the 2024-2025 school year. However, she decided not to continue working at the school.

In the summer of 2025, Jaken was attacked, maimed, and memory-wiped by his brother, Hades. Jaken had his memory wiped and spent four months recovering from his injuries. Estrella gave birth to Lydia Lorelei on September 13, 2025. Returning shortly after Lydia was born, Jaken spent many months getting to know his family again. Estrella was an Obliviator for New Zealand's Ministry of Magic for quite some time.

On April 26, 2026, Jaken was mistakenly poisoned and murdered in a cafe. Estrella lived temporarily in Norway and the States while she coped with her grief. On September 1, 2026, she gave birth to twin boys, Seth and Slade. Both boys were given the middle names of Jaken [and] Larmyne, in honor of their father. She officially began using her maiden name instead of her married surname, Styx.

Estrella left her job as an Obliviator at New Zealand's Ministry of Magic to head the Invisibility Task Force. However, she decided to start anew. She began the process of relocating to a wizarding community in Copper Harbor, Michigan.

Estrella's children were already settled in the States when Kalif and Nicolette Styx revealed that they were Jaken's true biological parents, not adopted as they'd claimed over the years. Therefore, all of Jaken's children were descendants of the Zhefarovich family, and subject to their laws and ways. Enraged and overprotective, Estrella decided not to inform her in-laws that the overseas move was underway. She also kept her children in the dark about their heritage.

As of 2036, Estrella was again working as an Obliviator, only in the Magical Congress of the United States of America. Estrella stayed in this position until she was diagnosed with a hereditary terminal illness in 2049. She retired early to spend the rest of her life around the people and things she loved. She passed away in late 2050 at the age of 45. Estrella left behind messages for her children in a charmed book- secrets that she didn't share with them while she was alive.

Her four children are now adults and all graduated from Ilvermorny in the United States. They have since reconnected with Kalif Styx and returned to New Zealand. Whether this move is temporary or permanent remains to be seen.
