Open Chloë and Juniper's Housewarming Party

Nicole spent a moment straightening out her hair before shooting Ajax a warm smile and stepping into Chloë and Juniper's new place. The party seemed to be in full swing and she took a moment to glance around the room under the guise of finding a place to set down the salad bowl and tongs she'd bought as a housewarming gift. It was enchanted to toss itself but she hoped no one thought it was too lame a gift, glad to find a clear surface to tuck it away so she wouldn't have to present it to anyone personally. She knew Chloë well enough but she and Juniper had never been that close.

She also hadn't missed that Juniper was sitting with Adorah and Nicole felt an odd tightness in her chest at the sight. She was more than happy with Ajax but sometimes she had to wonder what could have been there. Especially after she had gotten together with Noel of all people in the end.

Nicole was glad to spot Emma, sure Iris was probably around somewhere too but wasting no time launching herself at her friend with a happy squeal. "Hey! Merlin we need to hang out more no one warned me how hard it was to find time together after school ended," she gushed, grabbing hold of her friend and giving her a squeeze. She did get a chance to hang out with friends for a drink or a coffee when she could, but it was just not the same after practically living with each other for seven years after all. @Emma van Houten

Sully scoffed at Chloë’s suggestion, waving it away with a flippant hand. “I’m sure we’ve cleaned like once or twice,” he said with a shrug before pressing a wounded hand over his heart as Chloë accused him of liking Noel more than her. “Nah, you’re a better kisser than Noel, don’t worry,” he called after her, blowing a kiss as she slipped off to socialize with some other party-goers before turning his attention back to Noel with a cheeky grin.

He listened as Noel talked about school for a bit, snorting at the mention of Eric. “Ah, he wasn’t that bad really, just waaay too easy to rile up,” he said with a laugh. “This mean you’re gonna be a cop or something?” He asked, genuinely curious. He could see Noel doing something like that, he had that sense of justice and all that. “Yeah not yet, aye. We’re cool giving each other space,” he said evasively, happy to leave that idea at that, laughing at Noel’s accusation. “Sure mate, we’ll say it was all my stuff left around our dorm,” he said with an exaggerated wink. “I’m too busy for cleaning up and stuff anyways, they gave me a job at the ministry for some reason; Experimental charms, it’s pretty sweet,” he said, puffing his chest out somewhat with pride. It’d stung for awhile when he was working at Gambol’s still and Chloë was out there playing Quidditch professionally but these days he felt more on even footing with his new position and was keen to talk about it.

Adorah was surprised by how full the apartment was becoming and suddenly felt a little claustrophobic on the couch. Sawyer had joined, and while she didn't know the boy very well, she knew he was still a student which made Adorah feel a little odd, even if her temp position had ended. How were they still young enough to have friends still in school? Or at least, Juniper and the others?

Excusing herself to go get a drink, she walked over to the table and looked at the options and chose a pitcher of some kind of sparkley pink drink. Adorah picked up the pitcher and started to pour when she heard some more people entering and quickly made her way back to her seat when she noticed Nicole. They hadn't seen each other in a few years, and while Adorah was completey happy with Noel, she couldn't help but watch as Nicole walk towards Emma. This, of course, led her to be distracted for a moment and let her glass fall to the floor, shattering and spilling the drink everywhere. "Oh my god," Adorah started before she saw Juniper wave her wand to clean up the mess quickly and suggesting she go get herself another drink.

The strangest thing about playing Quidditch professionally was one that Blake hadn't considered at all when he started; the reality of former rivals becoming teammates. He had only known Chloë as a strong competitor in their time at school, but now he was getting to know her as a member of the team for the first time. Spending time around people who had known of him at school but not been close enough to understand what he had been going through was always anxiety inducing, but Chloë was nice, and it was nice having such strong teammates. Still, he had been a little nervous about her housewarming, only getting more nervous as he saw so many people he recognised vaguely from Quidditch at school. Chloë was understandably busy, so Blake just greeted her and Sully with a wave and smile as he entered. He was relieved to see that one of Lars' sisters seemed free and he made a beeline for Iris, not having seen much of her since the wedding. "Hey, how've you been?"

((chaos is encouraged you say :r ))

For the absolute hell his seventh year had been, Connor had gotten one good thing out of it without question; his friendship with Chloë. There was no telling how he would have survived his role as Head Boy without her steering the ship, and she had been a reliable shoulder to cry on when he needed one. He knew he'd owe Chloë for her friendship for the rest of his life. So when she had invited him to her housewarming he had said yes without question. And then realised there were perhaps some questions he should have asked. It was a little late to ask nervous questions about which of his former classmates would be in attendance, but it felt like fairly crucial information. He knew he'd feel guilty forever for just missing the party though, so he had pulled himself together and made it to the house. He could do this. Worst case scenario, he'd have to pretend Nicole wasn't here for a few hours before escaping. Connor had done plenty of that already at school. He took a deep breath before making his way in, looking around. Nicole was indeed here, with Emma, of course. Nikko was floating around too, but that was at least slightly less contentious. He hoped. Everyone he actually got along with seemed busy though, and it wasn't until he saw them talking that Connor remembered Iris' brother was married to Blake Irons, of all people. With nobody to talk to Connor excused himself to the snack table, hoping he could get something to eat, say his congratultions to Chloë and Juniper, and get out of here as quickly as possible.

"Is this a bad idea?" Lysander asked, not for the first time since he'd been invited to Juniper and Chloë's housewarming. He'd not had a chance to catch up with a lot of his old friends since he'd been expelled. Perhaps because they weren't all his friends any longer. Without a proper goodbye, it had been hard to tell who he didn't see as much anymore simply because everyone was busy with their adult lives, and who was actively avoiding him. It hurt, not knowing, never being sure what other people were thinking if they weren't standing right in front of him. Lysander spared an uneasy glance at Kas. He couldn't have gone to this by himself, and he was grateful for his company. If it turned out to be a disaster, at least he wouldn't be alone.

There was a moment of hesitation outside of the apartment, before Lysander could muster the courage to step inside with his shoddily wrapped gift, and as he took in the atmosphere, his breath caught in his chest. Lysander hadn't expected to know everyone, yet bar one remarkably attractive guy with some similar features to Chloë, these were all people he'd known, and for the most part, known quite well. It was an odd thing, seeing so many familiar faces from the castle in one place for the first time since he'd had to leave it behind. The sight tugged at his heart, and mentally he felt himself transported back to those earlier times. Mundane memories from regular old classes, to hanging out and getting up to no good, to Quidditch practices on the pitch. He should have known so many of his former teammates would be here - almost enough for a full team. He couldn't remember the last time he'd seen Noel, and he no longer saw Sully anytime he passed by Gambol and Japes, to his dismay. Then there was Michael, who, while he was happy to see him again, did elicit an awkward look back to Kas.

Then there was Juniper, standing there with her wand out. For all of a moment, Lysander's imagination had run wild with the thought she was ready to hex him for showing up, before he realised she seemed busy cleaning up some kind of mess. "This was a bad idea." Lysander mumbled through a strained smile, still hovering around the entrance. He knew this was her party too, which had given him the most pause while deciding whether or not to attend, but for the opportunity to catch up with Chloë and his old friends, he'd been hoping to at least act civil. Seeing her now, and some of the other faces who weren't going to be too pleased to see him in attendance, had him quickly reconsidering coming.

Chloë smiled when Emma mentioned things were going alright, nodding along when she said she still had to make a name for herself. "I'm sure you'll be the most wanted party planner around in no time." She replied with a grin, glancing at Iris when she gestured towards her before looking back at Emma. "It's great! Pretty relaxed, which is something we could both definitely use." She added with a small smile. She turned to look at some of the others who had entered their apartment, offering them a smile or a wave in greeting. She was curious to see her brother talking to Harper and was about to say something else to Emma but excused herself when Nicole launched herself at their friend.

As she glanced around the room Chloë couldn't help but to smile at the sight of many of their friends catching up with each other. She wasn't sure how many had seen each other after graduation but from her own experience she knew it had been difficult to keep up with her friends while maintaining her own busy life at the moment. It was nice to see most of their friends had turned up though but it made her wonder if some of her teammates would be attending. She had at least expected Paige to come, especially now they were getting along a little better. Having to work as a team during quidditch had definitely helped improve their relationship outside of the sport as well. Chloë was about to get herself another drink when she noticed Blake enter the room, slightly surprised at his presence yet happy he had taken her up on her invitation. Still getting herself a drink from the kitchen she smiled when she noticed Connor head in there as well, aiming for the snack table. "Hi!" She smiled at him. "How are you doing?" She asked, unaware of the two new faces joining the crowd since her back was turned towards the living room. @Connor Holland

Noel was happy as he looked around the room. He saw a lot of famillar faces. But he was glad to be speaking to Sully. He grinned as Chloe made an comment about their relationship as friends. He missed this being with his best mates. Making an suprised face as Sully responded. '' Do you need to tell me something?'' He than said with an grin. '' Tried it out once in my sleep?'' He joked. As Sully responded at Eric he rolled his eyes. He and Eric were just never an good match. He wondred where he landed up and if he was still seeing Minnie. That had been an painfull ride at Hogwarts but he was very happy with Adorah now and she made him happy. It was just an common thing that he liked Ravenclaws it seemed. He grinned about the question of Sully about his future job. '' No. I just needed some extra stuff for the Ministry. I am thinking of working there also. '' The brown haired boy explained. His dream of becoming an auror was something he had, but he started to have doubts. He had an good record so it would not be difficult to work at the Ministry. But he wanted to think very well about what exactly.

He understood Sully with the space. He and Adorah were kind of a lot together but since she worked some time at Hogwarts she was away a lot also. He thought of the next step also and move in together. As he spoke further about his job Noel smiled proudly to Sully. '' Good for you mate. Sounds perfect for you.'' The brown haired boy said. '' We will surely be colleagues than one day.'' Although he would certain knew he would be at an different department. Something else. Suddenly he heard an sound of something breaking and noticed his girlfriend was the cause. '' One moment.'' He said to Sully as he walked over to Adorah. '' Hey everything ok?'' He than asked her sweet putting his hand on her shoulder.

Ajaccio was pretty happy to have managed to be back in town for the party. he didn't often go to ones organised by his former classmates but was pretty happy this time around. He gave warm smile to Nicole as they stepped into Chloe and Juniper's place. He glanced around the house, marvelling for a moment at it. He and Nicole didn't live together yet, they hadn't made that move, but with him away a lot, and them both trying to save money it hadn't yet made sense to. But Ajax thought it could be quite fun. He spotted a number of familiar faces, waving towards Chloe and Lysander as he spotted them. Ajax realised he was stood a bit a lone for a while, having let Nicole go and do whatever she wanted. He found himself a drink and then ventured further in, spotting Nicole speaking with Emma and decided to join them. "Hey Emma," he greeted warmly.
