Hello all, and welcome to another Bi-Weekly Update!
Sorting is Closed!!
Sorting this year was very successful! We have a grand total of 104 new first years gracing the halls of Hogwarts New Zealand. The breakdown of new first years is as such:
Gryffindor: 29
Slytherin: 26
Ravenclaw: 24
Hufflepuff: 25
A huge welcome to all of our 104 of our new first years, and to our two new transfer students! Check out sorting reactions here!
Quidditch
The first Quidditch game of Y29 has ended in a Gryffindor win! If you missed out on the game, you can see it here and glory in the snitch (finally) being caught! Also, any celebrating Gryffindors can head to the Victory Party in the Gryffindor Common Room!
New Shopkeepers!
We've some new shopkeepers to announce!
The new shopkeeper for the Mākutu Dinette is Teila Owens-Lee
Meanwhile, Honeydukes is under the care of Ruby Folsom
And last, but not least, the Inner Eye will be in the capable of hands of Professor Wren Louise
Congratulations to all our new shopkeepers!!
Week 3!
We're heading into Week three now, so students, make sure you're up to date on lessons! All week 2 lessons should now be posted, so professors please be sure you're up to date, and if you're having any difficulties, let us know and we can help out
Tutor Program!
Once again, the tutoring program is being run in HNZ. It was very successful last year, so why don't you sign up? You can put your name down to be tutored, or as a tutor, so be sure to check it out! Big thank you to Abby and Kaye for running the program!

Tamara redeemed her White Elephant prize! The result; THE FILL IN THE BLANK COMPETITION!! Be sure and take a look at the entries, and maybe come up with an entry of your own? Can't wait to read them.

It's the first night back in the Hufflepuff dorms. November Albertson decides to socialize with her dorm mates, which leads to an unexpected dislike later turned into a heated rivalry between her and Amber Chou Wilson.
