Y49 End of Year Feast

Fiona couldn't wait to go home. It was weird seeing her sister around school this year, and she knew she'd have to deal with that for the next couple of years, which Fiona had been dreading. She also had a cousin to deal with, but he was happy to bother Molly more, which Fiona was grateful for. Fiona didn't really listen to a word the headmaster was saying, not having a care in the world what he really had to say. It was the usual boring stuff anyway. She immediately went for the food when the food had appeared. She went to grab one drumstick that had appeared, before she noticed another hand went in to grab the exact piece she wanted to grab. She immediately glared at them, hoping that maybe it would persuade them to give her that piece. Fiona was not in the mood to have her piece of chicken taken from her.

Thomas was relieved to go home. The chaoticness of the castle was too much for him. He couldn't wait to go home and see his family, his dad especially. He knew he was going to tend the garden back home. The garden was his comfort place and he was pleased to be back in it for a while before he headed back to Hogwarts. Thomas listened and politely clapped to what the headmaster had said. When the food had appeared, the Hufflepuff waited until the people around him had grabbed what they had wanted before he decided to take whatever was left over around him.

Sophie always had mixed feelings about Hogwarts. The Ravenclaw didn't have many friends at school, and she was still getting used to the idea of magic, but the idea of it was getting easier in her head. The Ravenclaw grinned ear to ear, happy to hear that they had finally won the house cup. After being at this school for a few years now, they had managed to get their hands on the cup, though Sophie's grades hadn't been the best this year, she was still glad that they had managed to get it anyway. It wasn't long before the food had appeared and Sophie happily ate her food.

As always, Theo had enjoyed his time at Hogwarts. He spent his time with his friends and helping out with co-leading the unofficial Quidditch club when he could. His grades were lacking a bit this time around, which he knew his parents wouldn't be impressed by, but he didn't really seem to mind if he was being honest. Theodore cheered and clapped loudly when it was announced that Ravenclaw had their hands on the house cup this time around. It felt amazing. "Finally, after so long!" Theodore says with a grin, before happily and excitedly digging into his food. He was sad that the year had come to an end, but he was also excited for the upcoming year. His brother would be joining him this time around, which would Theo believed it would be fun.

Declan's first year at Hogwarts was complete, and he was pleased with how the year had turned out. He had found his best friend here and made a few other friends as well. He thought he was doing well during his time here, even though he was known by now for losing his tarantula most of the time. Speaking of Declan losing his tarantula, he was not listening to a word the headmaster was saying. He was pretty much looking around from his seat, looking underneath the table and around for his tarantula. Declan knew people around him were gonna freak out if they found out a tarantula was on the loose. It wasn't long before the food had appeared. Usually, he'd be happy to eat his food when it had appeared, but he was more focused on his eight-legged companion. "Um, Hi... If you see a tarantula about this big, please let me know" Declan says to the people near him, as he makes a shape with his hand about the size of his tarantula.

Eloise's first year at Hogwarts was done and dusted, and she believed her first year at Hogwarts had been a good one. She managed to make a few friends and get along with her roommates. She also had some decent grades, and she knew she could've done better. But aside from that, she had enjoyed her time. She had to admit that she was a bit excited to go home and see her family. She did miss them while she was away. Eloise listened to what the headmaster had to say and clapped politely when appropriate to. The food then arrived, and Eloise grabbed food, digging in when she could. She took a few bites of her food before turning to the person near her. "How are you feeling about the break?"

Mikael had a pretty long nap after having been required to miss graduation. Needless to say that his parents nor Elio had been pleased about it, but that was a problem for tomorrow. Tonight, he was in a pretty good mood and just having dinner for the last Feast for the year and his school career while watching over his sister. He was having a drink when he spotted Ayre looking at him from the corner of his eye and his mouth twitched into an almost smirk before he raised his glass just a little bit in cheers at the person in front of him—whoever it was. Didn’t matter, the gesture wasn’t for them anyway.

tonight was hugos last night in the castle it felt weird thinking that after living there for the majority of the last seven years. he pretty much knew his dormitory better than his own bedroom at home. he entered the hall and looked around. if he had his way he would be sitting at the gryffindor table with teddy however tonight of all nights he knew he had to sit with his house. he was head boy, it was the end of year feast and if the latest tallly of house points was anything to go by his house was with a good chance of winnin the cup. which seemed to be the case as the banners chanced to blue and bronze.
he listened as professor Alcott ward gave his speech and cheered loudly as his house were announced as the champions. Then the house point winners were announced and he cheered extra loud for Teddy once again wishing he was closer for him so that he could give him a hug. but given how their conversation went at graduation. how he had told teddy he loved him and the gryffindors response had been slightly more reserved, maybe it was a good thing they werent sitting together. Then again he wasnt even sure why he had said it. he meant it but it wasnt the kind of thing you drop on people. he caught teddys eye as he cheered and moughed im proud of you not that teddy had any chance of hearing.
once the talking was over and the food arrived he filled his goblet and then caught teddy's eye. he smiled and joined teddy as he raised his glass in a toast "Congratulations" he said hoping that his bboyfriend could understand him. he would try and catch him on the way out so that they could at least make the (maybe slightly extended walk) up to the seventh floor together. but for now it was the last chance to enjoy the hogwarts food. and he looked around picking his favorites even if it was a bit of an odd mix together.

It was weird, the idea that they were over halfway now through their time at Hogwarts. Eoghan shook the thought from his mind before he could linger on it too long, and his focus was broken by hearing Lilith had won the most house points not only for their house, but for the whole year. Honestly, he wasn't surprised. She worked harder than anyone he knew and she deserved the recognition for it. He was also secretly glad it wasn't him, although judging by the way she tried to hide behind her hair, perhaps Lil was feeling shy about it too.

He kissed her on the cheek, before glancing around at the others celebrating (or not) in the hall. This year he knew he'd grown closer to Susie, and with Tori back they would for the first time be a quartet rather than a trio in either capacity. That would make a nice change, plus spending time with all three girls together no doubt would only strengthen their bonds.

"Right, another one down," Rose nodded as Gaia slipped into the seat beside her, glad that she did even if her own siblings were too preoccupied with each other at the Gryffindor table. Typical lions, only ever seeing what was right in front of them. She wasn't mad at the sorting hat anymore for putting her in Ravenclaw, and if anything she'd come to realise that being separated had given her a chance to be herself, not just defined as one of the triplets. She refused to look up the table in Freddie's direction, instead turning her attention to Gaia since she was the one that had been there for her this year. "Are you looking forward to going home?"

@Gaia Athanasiou

Audrey was spitefully pleased that Lilith had beaten Teddy to top points earner. Of course, she was impressed by the younger girl's effort and perhaps a little worried she'd burn herself out, but more so she kind of knew it would probably be annoying Teddy that he'd now lost to two Ravenclaws this year. And that Ravenclaw had won the house cup for good measure. Sure, he had the Quidditch cup, but she got to take some pleasure in knowing that it was him being humbled for a change. She was sure she'd get over her annoyance in time, as now she could legally apparate. Freedom beckoned, and Audrey looked forward to making the most of legally being an adult.

Gaia took a bite of her food and hummed in response to Rose's statement. Only six more to go. "Not really, its so... noisy in there and my mama is always complaining about something." Gaia confessed to her best friend. In all honesty even with everything that had happened at school she preferred it to home, the chaos there was something the first year did no miss. "Are you?" Turning to Rose, Gaia returned the question.

@Rose Glass

Ugh, Morrie was such a buzzkill. Vanity tried not to hold it against her, but it was a bit annoying. "Whatever, starve then, I guess," she said with a roll of her eyes. She leaned back a bit. "We should be celebrating, you know. We finally, for the first time, have a June free year next year," he said with a grin. "Imagine, not having to see her stupid smug face ever again." Vanity held up her fork in triumph, not even caring that a piece of potato fell off onto her robes. She looked at her friend carefully, hoping for even the slightest hint of a smile. If anything could cheer her up, it was making fun of June.
@Morrie Ayre

Rouge had a bit of tunnel vision come the feast. She was starving hungry because she hadn't eaten since b brunch, and now that they were free to enjoy their last meal, the Gryffindor had made a quick bid for chicken drumsticks the moment the Headmaster had laid out the food. According to the glare she recieved from one of the older girls, perhaps she should have waited. Mama would have told her to remember her manners, except that it had been nearly a whole year without mama looking over her shoulder which meant her standards were starting to slip. It was hard to be polite when you were hungry. She started nibbling at the chicken, still glancing up occasionally to the older girl, before offering out her half chewed drumstick as though it would make up for it, "We can share?" Rouge certainly hoped the girl would say no, but the thought was sort of there.

Juniper was relieved that the year was over. A lot had happened and she'd been overwhelmed for most of it, it wasn't always the bad type of overwhelmed but mostly she just needed some time at home with her family. She missed he mums and siblings. Most of what the Headmaster was saying flew over the first years head as she just stared at all the people around the hall. Her head turned to her right where one of her dormmates, Eloise, was sitting and she gave her a small smile at the question. "I'm looking forward to going home for a bit and spending time with my family and by the ocean. What about you?" The Hufflepuff said softly, returning the question after.

@Eloise Flynn

Freddie clapped extra hard for Lilith. Over a thousand points! That was crazy. He thought 685 was a lot. It was a lot - more than anyone in Hufflepuff got. And he'd lost some when he stuck his wand up his nose in Charms class, so technically he'd got even more than that. He grinned, still clapping until the food appeared in huge dishes in front of him. He wished he'd known Hogwarts was going to be like this. Sometimes it was hard, and Ares made it worse, but for the first time in his life, Freddie felt like... like he was doing something right. He just hoped he could make the feeling stay.

Ares didn't really know what he was doing here. He was getting bored of the people, the classes, the constant homework. Sure it was fun to tease a few of his classmates but there was something else missing in his life, only he didn't really know what. As the professor was talking, Ares was leaning back on the bench. The sort of lean that would have the bench over if there weren't a million other Gryffindors on it holding it down. If he stretched far enough, he could just about rest the back of his head on the wall behind him. Perfectly comfortable.

Cassie would be leaving soon, and Tori would be back. Felix thought he was looking forward to seeing his friend again, although it was another reminder that people would just come and go, in and out of his life. It didn't really matter what he wanted or thought or did, people always would just do whatever they wanted to do, and that would mean at the end of the day, Felix would once again be on his own. That was okay though, he was getting used to it. He kept to himself as the feast began, picking at his food and going through the end of year motions for the third time.

Morrie tried so hard not to keep looking at Mikael but she could swear he was reacting to her, albeit subtly, which only made her want to watch him more. Until Vanity reminded her that there was more than one person she was glad to see the back of this year. "Yeah true" She sighed, looking away from him and around for June. "And I heard she flunked her NEWTs" She already sounded more cheerful at that. "Alright, fine. Pass the potatoes then." Morrie decided that she was hungry after all.

@Vanity Mettlestone

Santiago couldn't believe it was all over. He was finally done with school, classes, exams, all of it. It was surreal. As scared as he was for the future he was excited too. For once he'd be in control over his life. He hadn't told his parents that he would be staying in New Zealand. Maybe it was childish to want to get back at them for sending him here in the first place but it was what he wanted to do and his uncle was kind enough to let him crash with him while he got on his feet. Before the feast began he sat down next to Friday and gave her hand a quick squeeze. If there was anything that would even remotely tempt him to repeat a year it was her. "Hey." he said with a grin but wasn't sure what to say next. The reality of their separation next year hung heavy between them. "I guess Teddy finally got put in his place." he joked, avoiding any serious topics. @Friday Weeks

Oskar couldn't believe the year was already over and it was even harder to believe that next year would be his last. It was strange to feel like he was just slipping through time without much consequence to anyone around him. But he was looking forward to break. He was looking forward to seeing his mom and getting to earn some money. He was grateful to have a job to keep him busy over the break since it was something to keep him busy. It was better than wallowing at home wondering what he was going to do with the rest of his life once next year was over. He guessed he had some time but it didn't feel like it. He wondered if he could go back to his dad once he graduated. His mom might kill him but he would be an adult by then. He hadn't heard from his dad in years but he was still his dad, right? Oskar suddenly felt like he swallowed a snowball and his appetite left him almost completely. He picked at his food but he was ready for the night to be over.

Elise was happy the year was finally over. The OWLs had been a pain even if she hadn't really bothered with her studies too much. Her father might complain but I think both of them knew academics were never her strength. Mostly she was excited to see Ezra after their first year apart since she was a child. She had missed him more than she expected and she had written him and made him promise to hang out with her once she was home. She would miss the art's club room and getting to see her friends everyday but she was sure she'd see them at least a few times before they would be back on the train again.

Naveen was ready for this year to be over and he was ready to go home. It wasn't that he didn't like school, it was fine. He at least wasn't terrified every time he got on the train, which was nice. But he didn't love it here, not like home with his garden and his dads. He barely paid attention as the headmaster spoke, since it was the same thing every time. The most studious students got their moment to shine, but he guessed it was nice to see Ravenclaw colors in the hall for once. He wasn't sure if he'd ever see his own house colors up there but it wasn't like he cared that much about it. He did care about the food though and was glad when it appeared and he served himself a plate. He spotted his roommate across the table and gave him a nod. "Oh hey Thomas." he said. "You ready for break? All packed up?" @Thomas Fitzgerald

Sybil's year had not gone how she had wanted. Of course there was always next year and she still had some time before her exams but she knew she was going home with less than ideal grades. She hadn't expected taking all classes to be that hard but she was proved wrong. It didn't help that quidditch hadn't gone well and while she made it a few rounds into the duelling tournament she still lost. At least it was to Lilith, and considering how many points she had earned this year she had deserved it. Still Sybil couldn't help but pout a little as the headmaster went on and on. Finally the food arrived and while she wasn't that hungry she welcomed the distraction.

Doyle was excited to go home. He liked school for the most part but he missed home all the time. School was so overwhelming at times and all he wanted to do was be around comfortable and familiar things if even for a little bit. But he was proud of himself for trying new things like quidditch and duelling. He was only an alt on the team and he had lost his duel, but still. He listened halfheartedly as the headmaster spoke and clapped when everyone else did but soon there was food and he eagerly served himself. He glanced next to him and saw his roommate push away the plate and pulled out a book. "Are you going to eat your book for dinner?" he joked. @Henri Fontaine
