Lilith Ilves
eoghan was first introduced to lilith through a conversation with demi zephyr, a ravenclaw girl eoghan does not get along with. he was immediately chatty to lilith because they are both from finland and they found comfort in speaking the same language together. the first time they had a conversation by themselves they were out on the lake looking for magical creatures, when eoghan slipped into the water. despite lilith's attempt at helping him out, eoghan found himself panicking and acting rude toward her. it wasn't until a few days later after he'd apologised for the way in which he'd acted, that they started to hang out again.
during their first few months at hogwarts, eoghan got closer to lilith and began to trust her more and more, telling her stories of his upbringing and his sister. eoghan trusts lilith not to walk away as she's proven herself to stick by him already, and he finds he can be honest and direct with her. although she daydreams a lot, he has begun to understand the best way in which to talk to her, and is learning the things she likes. as of november 2062 eoghan considers lilith to be best friend.
things between them took another turn however after lilith kissed him unexpectedly. although initially eoghan had doubts as to her real intentions of friendship leading up to this moment, he trusts lilith enough to understand that she didn't plan for things to take the turn they did either. eoghan believes that because of their age, the way that he needs to focus on his school work, and the fact that lilith doesnt deserve to be with someone like him, they shouldn't be together. that being said he is very protective over her and he doesn't like the idea of her kissing anyone else, either. lilith will continue to be his best friend, however the line between whether they are more than that was blurred.
over the course of their first year, eoghan and lilith continued to spend a lot of time together. eoghan and his sister imogen also spent Christmas with lilith's family, and eoghan was introduced to lilith's little brother and sister. by the time spring came around, eoghan realised that his attachment to lilith was likely more than just platonic, as he felt as though he needed to be around her most of all to confide in his thoughts and ask her opinions. he didn't particularly like seeing her working with others instead of him because he was scared of losing her however he's proud to see how she's opening up to others and making more friends.
toward the end of the year, eoghan was focusing more on his own friendships too, especially with tori because he felt as though he had to hide his true feelings from lilith. he would often study with tori more than anyone else partly as a way to keep his distance from lilith. during the holidays, eoghan didn't see lilith nor her family and missed her greatly before they returned to school for their second year.
Tori de Lacey
when eoghan first met the gryffindor on the train to hogwarts, he didn't particularly think they would get along because she seemed to push her way into social interactions and he wasn't sure how much of tori's personality was forced. it was during the student defence association events that he realised that tori really was just trying to help people around her and make new friends, something that eoghan himself wasn't accustomed to as he has always struggled not just to make friends but feel any desire for them either.
after the sda event and also a few other study sessions in which he realised tori was trying just as hard as he was to learn the material, eoghan began to respect her quite a lot. over time he opened up to her about a few things and while he doesn't share the same relationship with tori as he does lilith he does consider tori to be one of the few people around the school that he can trust. he feels as though her outward personality and chatty nature is somewhat a mask she uses to befriend others (and in truth something he could probably learn from) but he enjoys her company and finds that he is happy to spend more time with her than most.
Susie Lagowski
although eoghan is still on the fence as to whether or not he considers the hufflepuff a friend, he respects her enough to acknowledge that she at least tries more than some of the other students. where some will like to play around all day, eoghan thinks susie at least strikes a balance between the two and will also do her best to learn, even if she isn't the smartest. he can also acknowledge that like lilith, susie is someone in a group who will look out for others and even if she isn't really sure what to do in the situations she will at least offer what guidance she can muster up.
Demi Zephyr
eoghan doesn't like demi because he thinks that she is quite bossy and will outwardly try and get others to do what she wants them to. she also made a bit of a scene during the game of truth or dare and eoghan later found out that he was one of the boys she noted down on the list of "boys to ignore" that's pinned up on her bedroom wall. eoghan considers the ravenclaw to be a show off and has no intention of fixing their relationship.
Lumos Walden-Cade
eoghan doesn't really like the slytherin because he was the one to dare lilith to kiss another person. although he can accept that this wasn't really his fault given that he didn't know (and frankly nor did eoghan) that eoghan liked lilith in a way more than a friend, he still feels a little bitter towards him. that being said, he wouldn't be against talking to him in the future to form a better opinion.
