It was the end of the school year, a final goodbye for some, but merely the start of a long, well deserved break for most. Students and staff alike could enjoy some quality time at home without the stress of exams and study looming over their heads. The castle would be uncharacteristically quiet with most of them gone, a reprieve from the antics and rivalries, but there was still work to be done over the course of the holidays for at least some members of the staff, and the house elves employed to ensure Hogwarts remained presentable for the coming year.

As the students filed in, the banners adorning the Great Hall rippled and changed to reflect the signature red and gold colours of Gryffindor house, signifying their outstanding victory for the year. It had been a tight race between them and Ravenclaw, with the lions pulling ahead at the last moment. Students like Mr. Elric running around to earn more last minute points may well have had a hand in aiding their victory. Rising from her seat at the staff table, Katherine slowly made her way up to the podium, waiting for everyone to settle into their own seats before speaking. "Welcome one and all to this year's final feast. Before we begin, I'd like to say a few words. First of all, a round of applause for the winners of this year's House Cup - congratulations to Gryffindor." The woman announced, producing the cup in question seemingly from thin air, to be presented to Professor Kingsley on behalf of her house.

"Of course, we can't forget those students who's dedication and ambition earned the most points for their respective houses. Our top house point earners this year are - in first place, Elio Zephyr of Gryffindor, with a grand total of one thousand and thirty-eight points. In second place, with a total of nine hundred and thirty-one points - Elliot Briar of Hufflepuff. In third, Minnie Calida of Ravenclaw, with seven hundred and sixty-one points. Last but not least, we have Zennon Baros of Slytherin, with seven hundred and thirty-nine points. Congratulations to our winners." The Headmistress joined in the applause for each of them, commending their efforts and achievements toward their house.

As the applause died down, the woman moved to wrap things up and allow them to commence eating. "A quick reminder, as per the Decree for the Reasonable Restriction of Underage Sorcery, you are not permitted to use magic underage outside of Hogwarts. I do not want to receive any letters from the Ministry of Magic over this end of year break. Now, enjoy this feast and have a safe travel home. Until next year."

Lumio couldn't believe his first year at the school was coming to an end. He had enjoyed it so much. The gryffindor was also very excited for the end of year feast. He'd seen the points and was curious about when the professor would announce their victory, as it happened it would be the first thing that the headmistress did. Beginning the feast by announcing them - Gryffindors - as winners and producing the trophy that went along with it. Lumio let out a loud whoop and cheer above the applause, "Go Gryffindor!" Lumio hadn't done much towards helping the points, but he also hadn't lost any points so he was helping there. He applauded for the top points but was more pleased when the professor stopped talking and they were able to eat.

Katy couldn't believe her exchange year was already over. She was trying to focus on the fact that her new house had crushed it this year and not on the fact that she was leaving pretty imminently. Her face lit up when Elliot managed to score top points, hooting and cheering after his name was announced even as she saw him slowly sinking into his seat at the Hufflepuff table. "Yeah, Gryffindor!" She shouted along with one of the other Gryffindor students at the table as the cup was awarded.

Emma was so happy and proud that Gryffindor had won, and she was grinning widely at the end of year feast as she listened to Professor Alicastell. She was sad Fleur would be leaving after this year, but it was difficult to focus on that right now. Especially as she had a whole break to spend with her sister too. Once the professor was done talking, Emma cheered for her house. She heard a few other Gryffindors cheering too, and decided to try starting a chant she had heard before. Emma started slamming her hand on the table in a rhythm. "GO GO GRYFFINDOR!" She yelled, repeating it. "GO GO GRYFFINDOR!" She nudged her neighbor, hoping they would join her in the chant.

Minnie had worked exceedingly hard in the last few weeks, she was certainly glad when all of the exams were finally over. She'd had an odd conversation with the old quidditch captain and knew that going back home was going to be such a fight. The ravenclaw wasn't looking forward to arguing with her parents but as she reached for the necklace as she seemed to do when her head was muddled with a decision, she knew she would fight for it. She'd already talked with Lars about it. She was doing it, it didn't matter what her parents said. However, her thoughts were interrupted as the head mistress began the end of year feast, she applauded. for the Gryffindors, finding herself looking towards the gryffindor table, finding some of the people she knew within the house. They were pretty typical, cheering for themselves, but she liked how happy they were about it. The headmistress continued and she felt herself still when her name was called out, top points for Ravenclaw. She didn't applaud for herself, but she knew it would be one of the arguments against her parents. She felt a little embarrassed about it, though it was a good thing. The applauded for the slytherin and was glad when the food finally appeared.

Vader was so surprised it was the end of the year, but he was also so ready for it to end. He was exhausted. He was so looking forward to travelling back home and begin just relaxing. He knew that he would spend most of his time with Ava, when he wasn't working with Evelyn on whatever she would have him doing. He had a few days to relax before then and he was intending to spend as much time as he could asleep. He just had to get past this and then the travelling. He looked up tiredly to the head mistress as she began speaking, and his brain was obviously working a little slower, since the applause seemed to erupt before he fully grasped what had been said. They had won?! Gryffindor! He applauded loudly, listening as others in his house cheered louder than he knew he could manage. He wasn't surprised that Elio had won the most house points, he'd noticed how hard his housemate had been working. Finally the professor had said everything she needed to and he could start eating.

Leia thought she had managed pretty well in her first year of school. She had made some decisions about the next year but mostly she just needed to make more friends and she need to do better in her classes. The slytherin was sitting in the hall, she'd opted to sit next to Maj, but her gaze moved to the other students she knew. She easily found Luxen in the crowd of slytherin's sat at the table. She. was sure these proceedings would be quick they needed to eat. Leia rolled her eyes at the applause from the gryffindor table, but she knew that she would've been inwardly as celebratory if slytherin had won, but she would've definitely kept it way more to herself. She wouldn't shout out like that, Slytherin's were like that. Leia listened as the headmistress listed all of the students who'd won top points. Her gaze moved to the slytherin head of house, trying to watch. if he reacted to the top slytherin points earner. Perhaps if she gained more points that would be a good thing. That and she felt it would be cool to hear her name be called out like that. She was already thinking about how to get more points when the food appeared.

Mazikeen could hardly believe the year was at an end already. She had thought the year had flown by and she would in her final year when she came back. She couldn't believe it. Maze was sitting with the other gryffindors at the gryffindor. house table and she could feel the excitement in the air for what was likely about to happen. She looked to the head mistress as the woman announced Gryffindor the winners and produced the trophy for their head of house. She applauded and cheered loudly for her house. This was so amazing. She could feel the joyous atmosphere of her fellow gryffindors. She laughed lightly as some of the other students started cheering Gryffindor, especially as she noticed Katy doing it. She would certainly miss the girl and Fleur too. She felt she might be a little lonely in the next year. She had completely missed the rest of the announcements and the food was suddenly in front of her.

Padme could admit the year hadn't quite gone how she had expected it to, but at the very least it was almost over. She could go home and spend time on just having naps and doing whatever she wanted to. The teen was looking forward to going home. She looked up at the headmistress as the woman began speaking, telling them all about Gryffindor winning, and the house erupted in applause. She applauded for them, looking for her brother in amongst with the rest of the gryffindors, she could see him cheering but she could tell it wasn't the same as others and he looked tired, she hoped she wouldn't feel that exhausted when she got to her OWL year. She kept up the applause as the headmistress continued but was glad when the food appeared, she had began to get very hungry.

Ajaccio was so excited about the end of the year, he had a couple of hours after they broke for the break before he would heading off, and he had a single task to do. But for now it was just the end of the year. He had enjoyed Ravenclaw's victory in the last year, but he was sure they wouldn't get it this time around. It had been close last he'd looked at it, but they hadn't done enough, well certainly Ajaccio hadn't done much to help things, but school had always been secondary to everything else. He cheered for gryffindor house, laughing happily as he heard his brother's shout, which seemed to be joined by several others. He cheered loudly for each of the top point earners, he was so excited about the next year. Ajaccio loved the school, there were some draw backs but overall it was definitely something he enjoyed.

"Woo Hoo Gryffindor!" Edward shouted with glee as he bounced up and down his seat while next to @Allison Beckett and @Stanislaw Kurek . They had managed to pull of the win for the House Cup and Edward was excited that he had been a part of that considering he had also been one of the few that had cost a lot of points for Gryffindor. He hoped that the next year would be a bit different and decided that he would do everything in his power to help Gryffindor win every year while he was at school. "Can't believe we actually did it!" Edward said to his friends as he thought about practicing to fly a bit better over the summer so they all could try out for the Gryffindor Quidditch Team when they were second years.

"Next year I'm going to spend a lot more time getting points and not losing them, you can just call me the Lion Point Hunter from now on!" Edward said with excitement. It had been hectic and a bit embarrassing at times but he had actually enjoyed running around the school trying to dig up some extra house points. He had also enjoyed helping @Professor Robert Kain build his desk and hoped that a similar opportunity might arise again next year since he felt the school was a bit too magical at times and had surprisingly missed working with just his hands on building something useful. "Bet the Slytherins are grumpy they still have a losing streak!" he added with a smirk as he looked over at the Slytherin table for a brief moment.

Luxen sat quietly at the table with a book annoyed that he wasn't able to finish reading it in peace due to Gryffindor's acting like fools over a simply trophy. He had of course thought about Slytherin winning the House Cup at the start of the year but by the end he realized that most of the other students in his house were lazy and more preoccupied with other things like Quidditch than winning the Cup. He was sure that it was because of Chokingpuff that Hufflepuff had of course came in last place. It didn't surprise him though he was sure the rest of @Mary Lou Prindeou House or the school would excuse her miserable performance and attitude throughout the year.

He had plans over the summer to study more though it would be difficult since his own Muggle Caretakers didn't have any magical books for him to read and therefore he would have to go shopping for his 2nd year supplies as soon as possible. He refused to let the break make him weak unlike the rest of the students in his year. He looked over towards the Gryffindors as they continued to make there noise "Pathetic" he mumbled to himself annoyed that Ravenclaw had failed to keep them from winning. It was probably that freak @Augustus Westwick fault they lost in the end. He could hear Dogface, his girlfriend, and saint Elric bragging already even though that would likely happen next year when they continued their magical education. Perhaps he would use some free time to think of ways to knock them down a peg.

Fleur was happy that in her final year, Gryffindor had won. The girl was sitting with her friends for what would be her final feast ever at Hogwarts, which was definitely a melancholy feeling. She cheered loudly for her house, not at all surprised when Emma was louder than most and trying to get a chant started. Fleur laughed, then followed her sister's example. "Go go Gryffindor!" She shouted, clapping her hands to the rhythm. She didn't care that other houses might see them as a bit obnoxious. After all, they were allowed to celebrate.

Derek was happy it was the end of the semester, his discussion with Emilia hadn't gone particular well, it certainly hadn't gone how he had hoped it would, but she had been right, it had been selfish of him to do so, and idiotic of him to think it would go well. He glanced towards her as the end of year feast got started. His gaze then moved to Athena, he'd told her about what had happened, it just meant that she wasn't particularly happy with him either. He hoped that he would be able to make it up to Athena soon. He just wanted to date her already. The slytherin applauded distractedly as the headmistress awarded the trophy to gryffindor, he applauded for the top students and just tucked into the food. as it appeared.

Cyzarine was so happy it was the end of the year, she had had such a joyful year, there had been her good grades, the O grade in charms, the fact she'd realised she was pansexual, the fact she was now seeing Mihail, she liked the boy so much and she couldn't wait to keep enjoying his company. The gryffindor was also just pretty pleased that Gryffindor had won the house cup, she cheered loudly as the headmistress presented their head of house with the house. Cyzarine cheered loudly, giggling at the cheering, "Gryffindor," she joined in excitedly, it felt good to finally have a victory, what a good way to finish the year.

Daintree wasn't sure about how he was supposed to feel about magic now, he'd gotten fairly used to it in his life, and though he was looking forward to going home and being able to spend time with his friends. His old friends. Daintree liked magic a little bit, it was just that it had taken so much from him, but he had Tres and though it was a little weird, he knew his feelings were a little off with her. Daintree looked up at the headmistress as she gave the award to gryffindor, house points were a bit deal to him, but he clapped for them, he had plenty of friends in gryffindor so he felt happy for them, he had to act happy for them. If he didn't he wouldn't be doing it well. The slytherin would always hope that Slytherin would win, but it seemed rather difficult and it wasn't like he could do much to help, he wouldn't do much either.

Aonghas didn't particular want to come home - though he never wanted to do that. Going home was just going to be the least amount of fun. He had tried to convince Lauren to come back with him to Scotland, but he hadn't managed to do that he was worried about her, he just wanted her to be safe. Aonghas hated his family and their ways, but it was just what was necessary and it was better than her home. He was even more in favour of leaving school when he. finished sixth. year, there was no point dragging this out more than he needed to. Aonghas didn't bother cheering much for the gryffindor victory, he gave a half applause when his roommate's name was called as top points. The other boy was much more of a hard worked than Aonghas was. He could at least clap for him. The professor continued on but Aonghas just zoned out.

Professor Kingsley was pleased, very pleased at the decorations and the announcement that Gryffindor had won the cup. She was a competitor at heart, and the chance to win lit a fire in her every time. And her house had done it! Accepting the cup on the house's behalf, the woman gave it a little shake as she the cheers sounded from the Gryffindor table. She was happy that the students were proud of their efforts. They'd worked hard to win, earning points left and right. The woman continued to listen, clapping at all of the students who had earned top points for their respective houses.

Zennon was surprised to find out that he was the top points earner for his house. It certainly hadn't been expected but he was more than happy with it. He'd gotten all O's except in Apparation which, honestly, he could have easily failed that so he was still fine with it. He clapped politely when Gryffindor won, well aware that at least a thousand of those points were down to Elio alone, he was sure that he'd be proud of that. It rivalled his 739 points by a lot. He settled into the feast and listened to the rest, glancing over to his sisters sitting at their respective tables. Rowan looked pretty happy about her house winning the cup, Elsie seemed a bit miffed, but that was what happened he supposed.

Professor Kain had enjoyed his year at the school but would be lying if he said he wasn’t looking forward to the holidays. As he sat patiently waiting for the feast, the first order of business was to crown the winners of the house cup. He did try to remain unbiased towards all houses, but as it was announced that his own former house had won this year he found himself smiling, clapping along with the others. His students had done especially well, and taking a goblet he toasted the students at the Gryffindor table, with particular nod towards the boy who’d tried to give a little push for his house this year.

The end of year feast signalled more than that for Leda who knew this would be her last ever. She was sat opposite Zennon, despite things not being perfect between them she still thought herself to be his friend, and a good friend at that, so it seemed only fitting. Hearing that Gryffindor won was a surprise, although it sort of summed up her year given that it had been Olives house. Mervyn and Lysander no doubt would be pleased too. She clapped as the top point students were mentioned, recalling how she’d heard her own name once although didn’t expect that today. Instead a smile spread on her face when it was Zennon, and the Head Girl made sure to clap extra hard for him from across the table. Smarty pants.

Mhairi found the events in the hall some of the most difficult to follow. From her seat at the Hufflepuff table she couldn’t easily lip read what the Headmistress was saying, although it was clear by the banners hanging from the roof who had won. Mhairi had learnt a lot in her time at Hogwarts, and she would miss the things she was leaving behind. One of which was her sign language classes, although she had discussed this with her brother who, while hesitant, had considered the possibility of perhaps taking this on himself in the coming year. She knew Ilija would struggle without his sisters but she had every faith he could adapt as he had everything else. As the students were revealed, Mhairi clapped quietly, trying to watch the focus of attention especially at her own table. It had been Elliot. She gave the boy a huge grin, knowing first hand how much of a hard worker he was. She thought he was going to do well over the next few years, and as one of the new King of the Flowers, Mhairi was confident the gardens would continue to reign.

Great. Another feast. Another celebration. Another reason to give students another reason to feel competitive towards something that would make no difference in their lives. Lina wasn’t even paying attention to the speech, nor would she have been even if Slytherin had won. The seventh year was more than ready to pack her bags and leave the castle once and for all, leaving its medieval ways and lack of personality behind her. She’d gotten what she’d come for, her grades, which would be meaningless once she started her real job. Lina knew she needed a break, to take a year off before heading to University, but she couldn’t wait to get started.

Despite the ups and downs of this year, at least some things were clearer for the sixth year. She and Ro were now on good terms, they’d managed to clear the air between them and she was looking forward to being able to spend more time with him. Additionally she’d made more friends this year than she’d expected to, and while she sat at the Hufflepuff table in her robes she wished she was wearing the jumper that Noelle had gifted her. It wasn’t what she usually wore by any means but it was comfortable and reminded her of him. She clapped politely as the houses were announced, a little disappointed that they had come last, but with any luck, things would be back in their favour next year.

Hogwarts wasn’t the same when Taerins sisters weren’t there. Year after year she’d witnessed them graduate, and now Soohye had a daughter, and Kimmy, a son on the way. Being the youngest was difficult and until now Taerin had been making the most of it, which was easier said than done when those she usually played had left her. She sighed as she listened to the points being read out, wishing it was allowed that she could have been sat at the Slytherin table with Neven instead. Even he was leaving her. With no family and no boyfriend, it was hard to know what her final year would bring, although as she sat there with her head in her hand, she had to wonder that perhaps this could work out to her advantage, if nobody knew what she was up to.
