Please do not sign up to this game if you're not going to be active on the board during play.

This is the forum variation of the game "Werewolf"/"Mafia".

Team Wolf: You need to kill all villagers without getting caught.
Team Village: Find and lynch the wolves, trying not to get killed.

How we'll play:
Sign-ups will begin immediately and close on Friday 23rd February. Once closed, PM's will be sent out to each individual player with their roles and instructions if required.
The game will begin on Saturday 24th with the night phase at approximately 7pm GMT. No one must talk in the forum during the night phase, as all villagers are sleeping. If you have a night role, this is your opportunity to PM me with your night action.
When the day breaks, the outcome from the previous night will be revealed, and all players will be able to discuss who they believe the werewolf is. You should decide between yourselves who to lynch, and face the consequences.

The fun part - The roles!
Alpha Wolf (Night) - The Alpha Wolf is the leader of the pack. He takes into consideration the desires of his pack-mates and carries out the werewolves’ attacks each night. If the Alpha Wolf dies, a regular wolf is promoted to Alpha to replace it.
Villager - You have no power here. Together you must decide who to lynch and try to stay alive.
Doctor (Night) - Each night, the Doctor is allowed to guard one player from the wolves. If the wolves attack the guarded player, the attack will not occur. However, if you guard a wolf, the Alpha Wolf will kill you instead of their target.
Seer (Night) - The Seer can request to see the role of one person every night.
Medusa (Night) - Once per night, you may cast your gaze upon a player and turn them to stone. That night, your target will be roleblocked and unable to use their ability. The Ghost is exempt from being roleblocked.
Fool (Night) - The Fool believes they are the Seer. However, you will receive random roles instead of the correct ones.
Mayor - As a freely elected representative of the people, the Mayor's voice carries more weight in discussions, and their vote will be counted twice when lynchings are called for. Your role comes with responsibility - so take care making decisions!
Apprentice - On the first night, you will choose one person to become your role model. If this person dies, you adopt their role. If the Appentice has chosen a wolf, it is possible for them to therefore become the Alpha wolf.

Additional Roles:
Wolves - Second included with 11 players, third at 17, fourth at 23.
Janitor (Night) - At 13 players, the Janitor joins the village. He is on the side of the werewolves, and must be eliminated to ensure a village victory, but he does not know the identity of the wolves, nor do they know his. At night he may choose a target to ‘clean.’ If his chosen target dies that night, the following morning, the target’s role will not be revealed to the villagers.
Cupid (Night) - Added at 14 players. On the first night, Cupid chooses two players to become the lovers. The lovers will be paired together at the start of the game, and if one should be killed, the other will automatically join them.
Ghost (Night) - Added at 15 players. Upon the first night after the ghost is killed, they can choose one player to bring down with them.
Diseased - At 16 players, a disease strikes one of the villagers. Should the werewolves kill this suffering individual they will be struck ill by the same ailment, and be unable to kill anyone the following night.
Vigilante (Night) - At 18 players, the town will elect a Vigilante in a bid to bring justice to the town. The Vigilante has a gun containing a single bullet, which they may use one night to shoot a player of their choosing - for better or for worse.
Retributionist (Night) - At 19 players, on one night of their choice, the Retributionist may resurrect a dead player. If you die on the same night, your target will still be resurrected.

Other Notes:[ul]
[li]Players may not talk at all outside of the thread, and while you may lie all you like in the game you must not share your PM with proof of role to any player.</LI>
[li]During the day, please make it clear who you are are voting to lynch.
[li]This game is played out of character, so only one account per person. It would be best to keep this account as the one you use for the whole game.
[li]Due to time zones across the board, each phase will last about 24 hours to give everyone time to plan/plot/discuss/murder, and each phase will switch at approximately 7pm GMT each day.
<LI>[li]If no clear decision has been made as to who will be lynched at the end of each day, or if there is a tie in the votes, no one will be lynched by the villagers.[/li][/ul]
