Three-Legged Race: Sign ups!

Three-Legged Race​

This year, the Heads of House will be hosting a three-legged race at Hogwarts New Zealand, and we hope you'll join in the fun! :frantics: :party:

For those of you who don't know, "A three-legged race is a running event involving pairs of participants running with the left leg of one runner strapped to the right leg of another runner(wiki: three-legged race)." And for those of us who comprehend best visually, think this:

Of course, there will be a few magical twists. ;) Those bindings will be magically tied and there may be a few obstacles to contend with as you and your partner race to the finish line.

Rules

1. The race begins once a starting post has been made. The finish line will also be announced via a post. The first three teams (meaning both individuals) to post after that post will be the winners.

2. Pairs must stick together. Don't forget, your legs are tied to each other!

3. Each roleplayer in the pair must successfully roleplay navigating each obstacle in order to continue through the race. (Ex. Team member #1 cannot go on to obstacle 2 if Team member #2 hasn't posted making it through obstacle 1. )

4. Have fun! And feel free to interact with the other racers!

Where and when will it be held?

The event will be held on The Great Lawn beginning week 2 (ooc: August 29th) and running for approximately 1 1/2 - 2 weeks.

Who can participate?

Any student or staff members within the castle! To sign up, please write the names of the two characters pairing together below.

If you'd like us to find you a partner, sign up and add 'find me a partner!' Once sign ups close but before the race begins, we will randomly assign two individuals asking for partners together to make a new magical team. ✨️

Team names are highly encouraged! :p
