Open The Stands

Jenna always liked the game and she walked here. She was wearing hufflepuff cosy jemper. Hufflepuff girl enyoi the game.

Isaiah was stoked for another year of quidditch, even if he'd still be watching rather than playing himself. It was sort of a relief that his friends didn't make the team either though, so at least he wouldn't feel left out. Then again, if they had made the team he would've probably been their biggest hype man. For now he just stuck to excitedly cheering on his cousin and the rest of the team. Decked out in his gryffindor red jacket and with some red stripes on his cheek, which he had managed to get after bluntly walking up to another student using face paint to ask if he could get some, he hurried over to the pitch. After getting up the stands he made sure to clim back down all the way to the front row, wanting to make sure he could get a good view of everything that happened on the pitch.

Ivelisse was exited to be able to watch her first quidditch match since getting to the school. She was still a bit offended that first years most of the time weren't allowed to try out for the team but she figured that was the team's loss. Nevertheless, she had already been made aware that her house team had been on a winning streak for years now, which made this game even more excited. Iva had dressed up accordingly, making sure to show her support for her own house, and made her way over to the stands to get a good spot.

Nicole had spent most of the morning carefully braiding green and silver ribbons into her hair, hoping the wind wasn't going to mess them up the second she stepped into the stands despite her several layers of ever-lasting hairspray she'd sprayed on top. It was a nice day out though and she was hopeful they'd get a good game today.

"Hey, Jenna, you here to support your favourite Slytherins, right?" she asked, spotting her friend in the stands and joining her. She turned to look down at the pitch as the players began to make their way onto the pitch, smiling when she spotted Lysander and Emma. It was a bit weird, support Slytherin when she knew her friend were on the other team, and Jenna's ex was on the Slytherin team, but Nicole still loved backing her own house. And it helped that they tended to win too. @Jenna Jusantrea

Quidditch was a fraught subject in her dorm, Brooke knew, but it wasn't going to stop her from making an appearance and supporting her house. It was going to be an interesting game as well, with Flynn North up against Blake Irons. Brooke found it weird enough that more and more of her classmates were making it on as starters on their house teams, but Flynn especially was in a perilous position. Brooke couldn't imagine he was feeling all too confident about his position as seeker today, it was enough pressure to make anyone want to buckle, and she still hadn't forgotten his dour mood after his loss last year to Blake. With keen eyes, Brooke brought out a pair of binoculars as the teams made their way to the pitch, trying to get a read on the player's expressions before the game started.

Salem was keen for today's match, having spent most of last night working on perfecting a flashing-paint charm for the flag she'd made. Well, flag was maybe a strong word, it was a pillowcase she'd painted red and drawn a very splotchy lion on, but she was still excited to wave it around, especially now that it flashed red and gold. She'd tied it around her neck as she made her way up into the stands, squirming her way down to the front when she saw Isaiah there. "Hey! Great spot," she said excitably, unknotting her flag from her neck and arranging it so it hung over the front of the railing in front of them. @Isaiah Thompson

Jenna smiled when her favorit prefect sit with hear. She was glad that she was not alone and be with friend was more interesting. "There is my favorit prefect. Of course. If i not like Dain enymore, i still can cheer up Slytherins and Gryffindor to". She smiled.

@Nicole Fisk

Ivy didn't usually go to the Quidditch matches, but it felt weird not to go when Gryffindor was playing. Especially with Flynn playing seeker in what even Ivy knew was a big match. She hadn't gone all out in her outfit, only putting on her usual Gryffindor scarf to show her alliance. Though she also carried a book with her. These matches could take a while, and Ivy planned to use the downtime where not much was happening to revise some simple things. She spotted Brooke in the stands and sat down next to her, pulling the book onto her lap as she sat down. "Hi. Guess you're cheering for Slytherin? " She asked, glancing down at the pitch. "Can you give me a nudge when the game actually starts?" She asked, opening her book.

@Brooke Townsend

Isaiah was keen for the match to start but for now he settled on watching the teams enter the pitch, seeing them being spoken to by their captains. He wondered what that was like or what they were feeling. He knew his cousin would never show if she was nervous, so perhaps her teammates wouldn't either. "'Sup!" Zay smiled at Salem when she joined him before giving a self assured nod. "Right? Gotta have those front row views to see them win." He said. Or at least it'd be the best spot to get his supportive cheers out with the idea that the players might actually hear him. He'd be cheering for his life though, even if that meant having no voice after. "Nice flag." He nodded approvingly when Salem tied what he had thought to be some sort of cape on the railing in front of them. "Did you make it?" @Salem Lee

Now that Yvonne was more settled she wanted to make a bigger effort to get involved with the extra circular activities around the castle. Quidditch was still a bit foreign to her despite the one game she had gone to with her ex. But that was a few years ago and she was excited for today's match. The student's seemed excited and she knew Slytherin had a bit of a reputation as the champions and she put her hand up to her eyes to block the sun as she tried to make out the students on each team, wondering if any were her students.

Elliot wasn't going to pretend it wasn't a relief they weren't up against Slytherin first this year. Them versus Gryffindor this year would make the match-ups unusual and Elliot was curious how things might play out. Taking a seat near the back of the stands, Elliot's heart went out to Flynn. Blake was a terrifying seeker to play against, Elliot could acknowledge that, his own personal feelings about Blake non-withstanding, and with Flynn being so young it was a lot of pressure for sure. Elliot still remembered his own game against a much more experienced seeker against Willow Cullen when he was a younger student. It had been an unpleasant yet succinct defeat, but at least it had been over quick. He wasn't sure if he wanted that for Flynn, since he couldn't deny the idea of seeing Blake lose did warm Elliot some.

Lars felt a little nervous as he headed into the stands, feeling anxious for Blake. He knew how badly he wanted to win, to prove to himself he could still win even now... and Lars worried what it would do to him if Slytherin lost today. He was carefully neutral in his dress, as he knew that Emma would fly into the stands to murder him if he showed up in Slytherin clothes. But in his heart, he was hoping Blake would win this match. Lars spotted Elliot and hesitated, wondering if he should sit with him or not. He knew about Elliot's feelings about Blake, and thought it might be a bit awkward... but he was also one of his best friends. Lars sighed softly and then sat down next to the head boy, giving him a small wave. "Hi." He said quietly, looking over at the pitch and seeking out Blake.

@Elliot Briar

Natalia had decided not to dress up in all green, because she was still rather sore to have been rejected from the Slytherin team after her try-out. Especially when Indira did get the spot, the spot Natalia had been wanting. She had pulled her hair back in a ponytail and tied a green ribbon into it to show her support, but didn't dress up besides that. A part of her was hoping to see Slytherin lose today, after they had rejected her. But she knew she couldn't outwardly show anything but support for her house. Natalia crossed her arms and frowned down at the little green figures on the field, wishing desperately to be part of the team herself.

Emmaline had not been to a Quidditch Game yet and it was already her third year here at school. She had just never quite had time to watch the game or even consider participating. Although she did enjoy flying. Now she felt like she could go out and at least support Gryffindor. Plus she had heard that one of her close friends and dormmates Skylar was now on the team. It felt only right to go and cheer her on if she got a chance to play.

The young Gryffindor girl was dressed in support for her team as she took her seat in the stands. It was a beautiful set up, Emmaline could see that now. She hadn't been on the Quidditch Pitch since her first year. It looked just a massive as she remembered. Emmaline sat down with a few spots open around her as she waited for the game to begin.

Juniper was conflicted about today's game. On one hand, she hoped Gryffindor would knock Slytherin off their pedestal, but at the same time, there was at least one lion she didn't want to feel victorious. Maneuvering herself through the stands, she saw a few familiar faces from class and decided to sit nearby. She hadn't really spoken to Nicole or Jenna outside of class, but ever since the drama from their fourth year, Juniper couldn't help but giggle a little when she saw the Slytherin. "Mind if I join you guys?" she asked the girls after she had already sat next to them, admiring Nicole's ribbons. @Jenna Jusantrea @Nicole Fisk

Elara had been rather bummed by the fact she didn't make the quidditch team. She wondered if the captain hadn't even considered her since she was younger, but the whole situation made her even more determined to fight for a spot next year. Either way, she was still going to support the team and had put her hair in high pigtails with gold and red streamers flowing out. Making her way towards other Gryffindors, she noticed a few of her classmates. "Salem! You awesome," she greeted gleefully. "Hi, Zay," Elara said, feeling her cheeks flush a little bit. "Do you think we'll beat Slytherin today?"

Nicole shook her head fondly when Jenna said she was technically cheering for both teams, deciding she could let that slide considering Emma was on the Gryffindor team. "Well, maybe if we cheer loud enough, Emma will hit Daintree off his broom," she said, squinting down to the pitch at Jenna's ex.

She looked up again when Juniper joined them, subconsciously scooting over some to make room. "I suppose you can, but only if you're supporting Slytherin," Nicole said, smiling to show she was joking. She flushed when she caught Juniper eying her hair, suddenly self-conscious. Juniper was always so fashionable, even making her own cute accessories and clothes, which made her one of the girls in her year who Nicole was desperate to impress if she could. @Jenna Jusantrea @Juniper Zumwalt

Harper didn't make it to every Quidditch game, but these days she found herself going to more and more of them. A lot of her friends were on the teams, especially Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, and she of course was going to show up to support them. Today in particular would be special since Sky had finally made the team, and Nikko had snagged a starting position. So Harper had taken care to deck herself out entirely in red and gold, even threading some red ribbons through her ponytail. The only thing she was missing were some signs, but she could make up for that with some loud cheering.

As she approached the stands, she spotted Emmaline sitting by herself, and Harper gave her a wave. "Hey Em!" She carefully made her way up and took a seat next to her friend. "Is this your first game?" Harper didn't recall ever seeing the other girl at one of these games, but then again, she herself had missed a fair number of them.

@Emmaline Hopkins-Vance

Brooke smiled as Ivy joined her, laughing at her question. “You guessed right, what gave me away?” She said, glancing down curiously at the book Ivy was reading. “I’d say you’re supporting Gryffindor, since I can’t imagine this is a very conducive reading environment.” Brooke was a little envious Ivy had the tenacity to want to study, even here, hoping that sparing the time for games wasn’t eating into her own performance. “Do you know any of the players on the team well? I don’t know Ruben or Rye super well, but Liusaidh’s probably not going to show any mercy now that she’s a starter.” Having a starting player as a roommate did bring its own little level of clout, and Brooke was curious if Ivy cared much about Skylar or Flynn playing herself, or if she really was just more invested in her book. @Ivy Ashworth

The quidditch pitch was slightly less intimidating with René actually being on the Hufflepuff team, but he'd still yet to see an actual game held there. He'd been right in thinking things would be way different with two teams on the field and the stands packed and René was incredibly grateful he'd managed to get a few of his roommates to tag along with him to watch the game, even if 'Puff wasn't playing. "Oh, that one there, that's my brother!" he said eagerly as they made it up to the stands, pointing at the tiny red blob that was Sully on the pitch while trying not to lose his balance. @Oliver Boone @Charlie Helkovaara

Oliver was curious to watch his first game of Quidditch and was relieved that Rene wanted company so badly that it removed any real choice for the boy so he walked up and watched with his two roommates. "What is he?" Oli asked of Rene's brothers roll on the team even if he didn't know the rules or rolls of the game.

@Rene Tofilau

Charlie had been pleased to be invited to the quidditch game. He was quick to gather his journal and hurry after the others. He missed the familiarity of sports games. He sat down with the others, relaxing more than he had since arriving here. He just wished his dad was here. He looked down at the teams, unsure what position Rene's brother had. "Chaser maybe?" he offered, looking to @Rene Tofilau and @Oliver Boone.

Salem grinned at Isaiah, nodding in agreement about their choice of seat. “Thanks! It’s one of my pillowcases, but I think I can probably still use it,” she said, patting the flag proudly and having to awkwardly wipe her hand on her pants when some of the red paint came away still wet. “Elara, you too!” Salem said brightly when Elara joined them, not sure what she’d done to be awesome today, but happy to agree. “We gotta,” she said emphatically when she asked about their chance of winning, turning her head as the game began and Gryffindor immediately grabbed the quaffle. “Yes! Gryffindor, woo! See? Totally winning!” Salem hollered, wiggling her flag against the railing happily as Gryffindor managed to score first. @Isaiah Thompson @Elara Chatelain

Elliot wasn’t too surprised to see Lars at the game too, considering who was playing, but it still made him nervous as his friend sat beside him. Elliot was distinct aware he’d managed to hold onto his friendship with Lars by a thread and he was the last person who had any right to disapprove or talk about Blake, but he still couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling he got when he thought of the two of them together. With Lars here, it was going to be increasingly difficult for Elliot to not end up sticking his foot in his mouth. Or at least not smile if Blake took a bludger or two.

Hey, you here to cheer on Emma or..” Elliot nearly winced. Apparently he could only make it two seconds without bringing up Blake. That didn’t bode well. Thankfully, the game started shortly after, and Elliot had an excuse to focus on the game, though much like he suspected was the case with Lars, his eyes were trained on the seekers, or specifically Blake, as he narrow dodged some bludgers in search of the snitch. @Lars van Houten
