With her hands on her hips, Diana inspected the room for a moment. Then, her mouth curled into a pleased smirk as she turned to her friends. She had done this, arranged this all, and today was going to be amazing. Diana had gathered a bunch of pillows and laid them out in a large circle on the floor, after pushing the desks and chairs to the sides of the abandoned classroom. She had a few drinks prepared and had even dared to light a candle, though she kept it far away from where the people would be sitting. It was supposed to add a little romantic atmosphere, not burn down the castle. She had also covered up the windows for the effect, making it seem like nighttime in the afternoon.

In the center of the circle was an empty butterbeer bottle, and Diana felt a thrill of excitement. What better way to show she was over Edmund than kiss a few people today? And as an added bonus, she would get to see any potential drama that developed because of it. Diana had placed the three best cushions on the opposite side of the circle from where the door was, and sat down on the middle ones while waiting for her friends to join her. Domi and Winnie had helped her set this up, and they had helped her spread the word. Now she just hoped some people would show up soon, so the fun could begin. Diana applied a quick coat of lip gloss, then looked at the door expectantly.

OOCOut of Character:
Please just do arrivals for a little while, I'll start the game in a day or so! If you can't reply until later you can say your character arrived earlier and just hasn't been picked yet or you can RP them arriving a little later. Either is fine!

I really really want this game to actually get somewhere, so please post only if you think you can respond a few more times! I'd love for this to be very light and quick, osw style is encouraged!

I might have Diana grow impatient and skip people if things take too long, but I'll also give a nudge OOC before that happens.

Please don't purposely try to disrupt the game IC without asking me first.

EDIT: Please use @(someone's name) to ensure the other sees it, this will give them a notification!

EDIT2: Please make sure you have permission if your character goes right for the kiss, either approach someone OOC or give them room in the RP to back out.

Domi had been looking forward to today ever since Diana came up with the idea. She had her eyes firmly on Arvel, of course, after he had saved her from the worst moment of her life, but there were plenty more fish in the sea, and there was nothing wrong with a quick fishing trip. She didn't know how many people in her year had even had their first kiss yet, and Domi felt very mature, having already done so last year with Winnie. She could show their classmates how it was really done.

Domi had picked out an outfit she thought was totally cute, and she was sure she was gonna turn some heads today. It was only when Diana had started blocking out the windows though, that Domi had rethought her hat. It felt a bit silly in such a dark room, so now she was sitting with the giant hat awkwardly on her lap as she waited with Diana and Winnie, excited for what was to come. "This is so cool!" She said excitedly, unable to keep quiet. "Who do you think will show up?"

Diana turned her head to the right and smirked slightly at Domi as she noticed her with the hat. She would have warned her it was a bad idea, but it was just too amusing to pass up. "I know it's cool." She said, adjusting her hair for a moment. "Just hope some cool people show up." She shrugged, smiling. "But it's probably some uncool people, actually. Analei will drag Arvel along I bet, maybe Onyx will show up, he seems like the type to try to get some kisses in." She shrugged. "I just hope some people in the year above us come too." With two notable exceptions. No Westwicks would be allowed in. "The real question is, who do you want to show up?" She asked her friend teasingly.

Marlowe had never been kissed on the lips before in her entire life. Which made her sort of nervous to go to a game where kissing would possibly be involved. She wondered if she'd be able to decline a full frontal kiss if she wanted and maybe just do a peck on the cheek. Of course there was only one person who was rumored to come that she wanted to kiss, Nixon. She hoped he really would show up and that she'd be lucky enough to get him. Maybe if her kiss was good enough he'd finally see her more than just his best friend's sister. Though really the way her sister and him had been you'd think they weren't really friends at all. She hardly saw them hanging out anymore which meant she didn't get to hang out with him anymore. Jocelynn said it was all Nixon, he was too busy, photographer/boyfriend to many to pay her any attention anymore. He was growing popular and that was something Jocelynn didn't seem to like but Mars certainly did. She stood waiting outside the door waiting for her sister to arrive, not wanting to go in alone. She didn't really know the girls who set this up. But she did know Diana wasn't the type of person she really wanted to be friends with.

Jocelynn Moors sighed as she looked at her outfit in the mirror. She wasn't really sure what sort of party she was going to, just something Sissy had said was open for third and fourth years especially single ones. She never paid much attention to the goings on around her, she had a few good friends and that was enough for her. Plenty of her roommates had been fussing the past few weeks over dresses and dates and boyfriends and girlfriends enough to make her head spin. Jocelynn wasn't very interested in dating, she had other things on her mind. Her plants that occupied her corner of the room needed all the love and care she had to give. She wasn't sure why then she got herself talked into going to a party for single 4th and 3rd years, at least that was how Marlowe had described it to her. Coming down she spotted her sister waiting outside for her and slightly rolled her eyes, her sister was all dressed up. "Alright come on then, let's get on with this. I hope we aren't too early, always awkward to be the firsts," she said moving past her sister and pushing the door open. Only two girls sat in the room and Jocelynn looked back at her sister with slight disappointment, both were 3rd years and people she didn't know. "Hi, I'm Jocelynn, uh fourth year Gryffindor," she said in greeting to the two girls on the floor. She looked around and made her way over to a pillow that was on the ground and seemed to be the seating option of the event. She thought it was weird they were placed in a circle. She dearly hoped this wouldn't be some sort talk about your feelings party and how sad but totally wonderful it is to be single.

Going to the valentine's dance with a date for the first time had greatly boosted Winnie's confidence, and was proof to her that she wasn't entirely unappealing, so she was eager to help set up and be part of the spin the bottle game Diana had organized. Being a self proclaimed good kisser from the time she spent practicing with Domi in preparation for their infamous stage kiss as Romeo and Juliet, she was sure this would go well for her no matter what happened. Who knew, maybe Patrick would be there and she could finally kiss him for the first time, or someone else entirely dreamy she hadn't noticed around the castle before. Sitting to Diana's left when everything was set up, Winnie smiled excitedly and how the afternoon might play out. She chuckled at Diana's comments on other students in their year, nodding when she mentioned hoping older students would show up. In Winnie's opinion all the boys in her own year were crusty and gross, so she really did also hope some fourth year boys would be there at some point. "I just want someone cute to be here, not someone gross, you know?" Winnie commented as she looked to her friends, attention soon moving to the door as two unfamiliar girls walked in. Not knowing whether Diana wanted to greet everyone or not, Winnie stayed silent and looked the arrivals up and down.

Anastasie never usually involved herself in social activities, but when she heard from the people in her dormitory that there was going to be a game of spin the bottle, she couldn't help but want to be involved for if something interesting were to happen. Games like spin the bottle were always good times for drama and Ana happily accepted the invite, hoping it would be worth her time. Besides, she liked Diana and it was a good way to become closer friends with her. The Slytherin stepped into the abandoned classroom where five other girls already were sitting on the floor around the bottle. "Hello." she said with a slight smile. She glanced over at the pillows and the desks that were pushed to the side of the room to make way for them. A lot of effort was put into one game and Ana kind of respected that. She wasn't really sure what else to say as she took a seat on one of the pillows, excited for when the game would finally start.

Kinsey was keenly aware of how strange it was to be dressing and getting herself ready with the knowledge that she would be kissing not just one but possibly many random people in one evening. She fiddled with the hem of her dress while debating if she should actually go to this kissing party or not. But even worse than going would probably be not going when her entire year was likely going to be there. She would be the odd girl out and she really did not want that. So succumbing to peer pressure Kinsey put on a final swipe of lipgloss and made her way from her dorm as she had already seen a few of the other girls leave.
The young girl had never kissed anybody romantically yet so this felt serious even if it was meant to be a silly game so while she walked she debated still with herself until arriving at the old, unused classroom. While walking in she noticed that it was all a bunch of girls who aside from Winnie she saw in classes but didn't speak to. Winnie was the difference because they shared a dorm but still didn't speak to. Somehow being at Hogwarts had removed all of her self-confidence. If she were lucky this would bring some of it back to her. She moved in closer to the room and took a seat in the circle and said, "Hi." It occurred to her that they must all not know who she was as she didn't know them well enough to match faces to names. "I'm Kinsey."

Zennon Baros heard about the game of spin the bottle, which the poor boy was not entirely sure what it was. All he knew was that it involved people in his year and the year above. He walked into the room to see others in his year and one fourth year so far. He recognized them at least. He gave a short wave to them and sat down on a cushion. He waited to see if any of his friends would arrive, mainly Jacob or Analei. Although both might not be so friendly...

Derek wasn't sure he wanted to participate in a spin the bottle event, after all, he had a girlfriend, was pretty satisfied with spending all of his time with her. However, the slytherin wanted to get to know some of the other people in his year, and what better place to do that than at an unofficial student organised event. The slytherin had decided to go and headed to the room. He was keen to have a little fun and he didn't particularly want to kiss anyone else after all he had Emilia and unless she was there doing the same, he'd have to maybe ask her first. Maybe he should've asked her first...In any case, Derek entered into the abandoned classroom and glanced at the people. There were quite a few from his house group, even one from his dorm room. "Hey, I'm Derek," the boy greeted the people in the room as he took a seat next to Zennon, he didn't know the boy particularly well, but they shared a dorm, and in comparison with the rest that meant he knew this kid way more than the rest of them.

Spin the bottle was quite an offer, and the fourth year hadn't even considered that he wouldn't be invited to such an event, but since it was open, he was definitely going. What better way to meet people than in a game that seemed to suggest people kiss. The hufflepuff got himself ready, psyching himself up a little to interact with students who likely knew each other but who would not know him - the annoyance of being the new kid. But, he put on his most charming and convincing faux smile and walked into the abandoned classroom. Like he'd thought he knew two people Kinsey and the other girl who was in the same year as he was. The rest were vaguely unfamiliar. People he didn't know. However, this wasn't a bad thing, there were enough cute people there to make it fun. He kept his most charming smile on his features as he found himself a spot to sit, sitting near the only person whose name he knew, "I'm Shane," he introduced to the room as he glanced between the people with a charming smile, this could be good fun. No one in his last school would've ever done anything like this, or definitely would not have invited him. so, this was going to be an interesting experience.

Through the grape vine Nixon had heard of a spin the bottle game exclusively for third and fourth years, and when he was sure of the place and time the game would be held, there was no way he wasn't going to show up and join in. After the events of valentine's day and the many unanswered questions still lingering in his mind, a chance to have fun and kiss new people with no strings attached, and to forget the woes of his current love life was the exact distraction he was looking for, and he showed up to the abandoned classroom eager to take part. As he walked in the room he looked around, noticing who was already there and recognizing Jocelynn, Mars, and one of his dorm mates. Usually Nixon would have gravitated towards Jocelynn and her sister, as they were likely the only two people at hogwarts that didn't hate his guts. But when he considered the recent distance between him and Jocelynn he chose to avoid talking to her, instead giving her and Mars a smile and nod as he walked past them, before he sat down next to the boy he knew as his dorm mate. If he remembered correctly the boy's name was Shane. "Hey." he greeted the other hufflepuff, and soon looked between Shane and the person he was talking to. "How are you?" He asked both of them, attempting to make conversation before the game began.

Leda had heard there was some muggle game happening today, but she knew very little information of what was going to be involved. As the Slytherin entered the room She realised there was hardly anyone she recognised and cursed herself for not dragging Mervyn with her. Taking a seat next to Zennon, a boy she would at least have called a good housemate of not quite a full friend, she waited to see what would happened next.

Fleur hadn't been sure if she should go to the spin the bottle thing or not. But eventually she realized she could at least check it out. No one would force her to stay if she got tired of it, and she was curious. As she stepped into the abandoned classroom she noticed that there were a lot of people there already. She headed over to one of the few people she recognized from her year, her roommate Jocelynn. She plopped down next to her. "Hi, so... you're curious about this game too?" She asked her, a little awkwardly.

As nice as all the dances were, and as much fun as she had at club meetings, Acacia often felt something lacking in her social experience at Hogwarts. She knew that part of that was her own standoffishness, her hesitancy to become attached to anyone new here after leaving everyone she cared about in America. But there was also something so old fashioned about Hogwarts, so restrained and traditional. She wasn't having any of the kinds of adventures her friends back home were, and it pained her every time they caught up over holidays. She felt further and further away from the life she had always had.

But today was a chance to turn all of that around. Acacia had heard about a group organising a game of spin the bottle, and from the rumours she had heard, it sounded like it was going to include people from her year. One of the things Acacia felt separating her from her friends back home was that she was the last person in their group who had never been kissed, and today she hoped to change that. As she approached the room she had heard the game was taking place in, Acacia was relieved to see she wasn't the only one in the area, following an older girl into the room. She recognised most people there from classes, and was about to say hi, when the sight of one face turned her blood to fire. "Aren't you Derek?!" She asked, horrified as she stormed over to the boy. "You have a girlfriend, what are you doing here!?" Emilia had been outright giddy about their relationship, and Acacia knew she would be crushed if she saw this. Determined to defend her friend, Acacia glared the boy down as she waited for a reply.

As people started trickling in, Diana's smile grew. They really were all interested, and she was glad so many different students were showing up. She nodded at the girl who introduced herself, then focused her attention on Anastasie. "Hi!" She said brightly, glad to see her here. She greeted the other people who entered too, allowing them to find their own places. It was mostly girls at first, which made Diana a little nervous. She was glad when two boys from her house and year walked in, and she waved at Zennon and Derek. Then a few more boys entered and Diana relaxed, glad that there were a few here at least. One introduced himself as Shane, and Diana looked at him for a moment. He was definitely unfamiliar to her, but cute. She contemplated saying something to him, then was distracted when one of the new arrivals started shouting at one of the boys. Diana frowned and got to her feet. "Excuse me, please sit down and behave like a normal person if you want to play." She snapped at the girl, annoyed at this disruption this early on. "It's just a game, okay? Chill out." She crossed her arms. "Cheek kisses will be allowed as well, so stop freaking out." She gestured to one of the cushions for the girl to take a seat then sat back down herself. There weren't that many boys here to start with, why did she have to try to ruin it for one of them? "Or you can go." She added to the girl, glaring. Then she gave Derek a reassuring smile. She hoped he would stay, and that a few more boys would arrive before she began.

Willow had heard about the game of spin the bottle that was going to be held. she had never played it before but she had heard about it in old movies that she and Chante sometimes watched over the holidays. It would be fun. she always seemed to be on the outside of the goings on of her friends. not that she minded. but everyone needed a little bit of fun right. She entered the room and looked around to see if there was anyone she knew. there were a lot of people there and she knew most of them. at least to the extent that she recognised their names and faces. but there weren't many who she actually knew properly. Then she saw one of her best friends sitting there. she didn't think she had seen fleur since she had redyed her hair, a couple of days ago. she smiled and walked over to the circle taking a seat on a cushion next to fleur and one of the other fourth-year Gryffindors. "hey.{/b] she said as she landed a little harder than she had thought.

Simon loved a good competition, so of course he would not turn down the opportunity to play spin the bottle. The part-veela walked into the room and waved at the people who had already arrived, he knew most of them vaguely, through classes and houses, but he didn't know too many of them. He hoped that Charlotte might just pop along too, she was the one person he tended to find himself competing with and while this wasn't a competition, he still wanted to win and she'd be exactly the person to compete with. Simon had never really taken part in such things before, but he was quite keen now. he wanted to try it and hoped that Charlotte would turn up, if only to make her jealous. The ravenclaw was smiling vaguely as he took a seat, he just wanted to get started, didn't want to sit around waiting for others to appear but he knew he'd probably have to. It seemed busy enough, and he was sure it would end up being quite a fun game.

It had been the talk of his year, quiet whispers while waiting for class to start and louder conversations during meal times and in their dorms. A whisper was how he'd first heard about it, a curious thing he'd overheard about kissing. It being a particular curiosity for Jacob he'd tried to listen for more but class had begun. It had only taken a day or so to hear the more meaty details, a game of spin the bottle that involved kissing. Jacob was in. He hadn't received a formal invitation from the host, in fact, he had no idea who was leading it. Everyone he'd asked seemed murky on those details. But that didn't matter. Everyone knew that crashing a party made it more fun, and it seemed it was an open invite anyway so he didn't think he was really crashing anything anyway. Stepping in just as he heard Diana's voice ring across the room, Jacob almost turned back. Of course she was being bossy before the game even began as if she'd organized this all. He rolled his eyes but then allowed the door to shut behind him. If Diana had been invited, he was going to pretend he had been too.

He scanned the room, a glare when he spotted Derek and no Emilia. He spotted a few more of Diana's friends and made sure he was well away. Moving towards Willow, Jacob smiled. "I almost didn't recognize you. You're red head again" he noted. He also noted that most of the girls seemed pretty dressed up. He wasn't, just a plain pair of jeans and a plain white T-shirt and his new sneakers he'd received for Christmas. They were already a little worse for wear.

Maggy wondered if this kissing game would be a good way to figure out exactly how she was feeling. After talking with Ainsley, her cousin's friend, about dating it opened up Maggy's eyes to different possibilities she never thought were real. Walking into the room she suddenly felt undressed, Maggy looked around for someone she knew. Her roommate was standing up seeming to glare at a boy while getting yelled at by Diana. Another roommate was sitting by some other people, the girl with the bright pink hair. Maggy was jealous wishing she could dye her hair like that, but her mother wouldn't allow it at her age. She ended up picking the cushion on the other side of a blonde hair boy, she was pretty sure he and the one on the other side were in her house. And she hoped the odds of the bottle spinning and landing on someone close to her were not as likely. She smiled and nodded her head to them but quickly looked back around the room not making too much eye contact.

Joshua made a list about coming to this gathering that apparently a third year was hosting. Some would consider that for a moment before he decided to make his pro and con list, but it didn't discourage him at all. Nor did the fact coming to this gathering might not be such a good idea as he observed the con side of the list. Like trying out for quidditch, Joshua disregard the list and showed up anyways. He dressed in nice pair of jeans and a button up long sleeve. He looked fairly decent when he arrived, and quickly took in who showed to this little get together. Joshua cleared his throat, tells himself to not talk too fast and he won't sound like a stuttering fool. Joshua smiled somewhat, and sat next to Simon, a fellow Ravenclaw. "I hope you don't mind I, umm, sit here?"

Wendy heard about some meet up with students taken place in the abandoned classroom. It was all the buzz and all what third and fourth years were talking about. Wendy couldn't go a day without someone bringing it up. She wonder if Arvel would be going and if he would be going with Analei. She hadn't seen neither them in a while except for lessons and the common room. More like she hadn't spoken to neither of them in a while, for some reason Wendy stayed away from the pair. It always felt like she was intruding on them, the third wheel when they were together. Wendy showed up to meet up and to see what all the fuss was about anyways. Wendy enter the dark room, she could barely see their faces. They were formed in a circle, sitting on pillows with a bottle in the middle. "Oh, it's one of those meet up," Wendy whispered to herself. "Sup, I'm Wendy," she greeted them with a quick wave and sat down on one of the pillows. There was a slight chance she might not see Arvel and Analei after all.

When Analei first heard about spin the bottle, she scoffed, thinking it was a game for weirdos. But as time went on, the idea appealed to the girl more and more. She still hadn't been kissed yet. Analei had hoped it was going to be Edmund, at the Valentines Dance, but instead he chose Diana. The blonde had spoken about the idea of going to meet up with Arvel, and though the boy didn't seem too keen to do it, Analei persisted, until eventually he agreed to go with her. The Hufflepuff decided it would be good for them; to get over whatever losers they had been thinking about.
Now that they had arrived though, Analei didn't know why she wanted to come so badly. To heal her broken heart? To show she was worth kissing? Her eyes landed on Simon, and her cheeks reddened, as she quickly averted her gaze, only to spot Jacob and further on, Diana. Edmund wasn't there. Analei glanced quickly at Arvel before finding a spot next to Wendy, giving her a small smile.

Arvel did not at all like the idea of kissing somebody he wasn't attracted to. But he had a hard time saying no to Analei, and when she insisted that it would help them get over their old crushes, he'd finally agreed to go. His palms were sweating by the time they got to the abandoned classroom. It was stuffed full of people Arvel knew - of course - and he felt them silently judging him, whether they were or not, for showing up. He probably looked desperate. He wasn't desperate. He didn't even want to kiss anybody today. He'd just come for Analei, and because he would take up any opportunity to move on from Nixon. Keeping his head down, he followed Analei over to Wendy, the only friendly face Arvel was relieved to see, and sat down. This was going to be a long game.

Domi listened with interest when Diana listed people who might show up, perking up visibly when Diana said Arvel's name. Domi had chosen to be more discrete with her crush this time, but she couldn't hide her excitement at the thought that he might be here. When Diana asked who she wanted to come though she looked away quickly. It was a relief when people started arriving and distracted Diana before she could extract an answer. She took note of everyone who entered, privately grinning at the thought of how many cute people there were in their year. Honestly, whether Arvel showed up or not, Domi didn't hate her prospects at all today. But then the door opened and there he was, following after that girl who had been moving in on Diana's creepy ex. Privately, Domi thought Diana was a lot better off without someone like him, but of course, she had made a mental note that she hated Analei now, out of solidarity. Arvel was here though, and she wiggled her fingers at him in greeting, giving the flirtiest grin she could muster. The game was on.
