Cassius' name was one that Hades liked hearing when he was thumbing through male names. It sounded like a good, strong name for a Styx. Not just any, but a pure-blood one. Anastasia agreed with Hades and that was what they agreed with. Anastasia also liked how they could shorten the name to Cass when they wanted, although they never did. Only the siblings could. Anastasia also chose the middle name because it was common in the Zhefarovich name for a middle name. It would make the boy unique but also part of the family one way or another. The origin of Styx was by none other than Kalif Styx, Dante's grandfather. After he was on the run from the Ministry, he started over with a new name, and had a clean slate. No one knows where he had gotten the name Styx from, but it represents one of the four rivers in the Underworld. So far, only their family is recognized with the last name, and most of them are pure-bloods, so it is a pure-blooded family. The surname Styx might be new branch, but it all boils down to the Zhefarovich family. The surname Zhefarovich originates from Romania and Bulgaria. However the heritage of Romanian has long since washed away. The Zhefarovich family is vast. Most of the Zhefarovich family are pure-blooded, and have laws and strict rules which they are known for, and many were either Death Eaters or associated with them. They are known for their tightness and also on how they hate muggles and anything to do with them. While allying with some other families, the Zhefarovich do control others. They are very isolated, and while some people consider them to be legendary, they are also very hostile and malevolent, and will not stop a fight until they die from it. More often than not, they keep to themselves in Bulgaria while some spread around, their main base is in a Manor where no one can access unless they know where it is, and have many other secret places.

Cassius can actually speak three different languages. He can speak English and Bulgarian fluently. He is almost there with Greek, but he still has some ways to go in order to master that language. He does not know any other language, nor does he have a reason to learn it.
DIET
Cassius' diet is the omnivorous diet. This is the most common diet. He has a healthy supply of meat, grain, dairy, vegetables, and fruits in his meals. He is not exactly picky when it comes down to food, but he will prefer that it is seasoned properly so that it is not bland. He absolutely hates bland food. He will also eat more than just one serving, but his athletics will balance it out.
CURRENT RESIDENCE
Cassius currently lives in an unplottable house in New Zealand, on the Southern Island. He resides in a muggle community because his father got in hot water and needed to lay low. Their house looks like this image. It is masked to look abandoned and inhabitable to muggles, and gives an aura to keep away. That is all by design. The house has five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The current residents are: Anastasia Katsaros, Hades Styx, Cassius Styx, Dante Styx and Samael Styx. Cassius was one of the few kids that had a bedroom to themselves. One of the bedrooms is closed off permanently because it belonged to the late Varvara Styx.
HOMETOWN
Cassius does not know where he was born, just that it used to be where Hades lived before he returned to Bulgaria when Kalif Styx retired as the HNZ Slytherin Head of House. Hades' old home used to be near Gisborne, New Zealand. Cassius has a few memories of the location since he was a child when the family moved off. When asked where he was born, he would just give out the country since he does not know, and Hades won't fess up the exact location.
HERITAGE
Hades is half-Russian, quarter-French, quarter-Bulgarian and Anastasia is full Greek. So, Cassius is mixed with Russian, Bulgarian, French, and Greek heritage. If one wanted the exact numbers, it would be 1/2 Greek, 1/4 Russian, 1/8 French, and 1/8 Bulgarian.
BLOOD STATUS
Both of his parents are pure-blood, therefore it makes Cassius pure-blood. Both families were more ancient pure-bloods though the Katsaros family is not as large as the Zhefarovich/Styx family.
THOUGHTS ABOUT BLOOD STATUS
Cassius was raised to hate muggles and other's that were not fully human. This stems from Anastasia because she is very prejudice and a large supremacist. His father is a little more laid back with the views, since he is more family centric. Cassius himself is favored more toward his mother's side as he believes that muggles and the like are harmful to the wizarding race. He does not mind those that are not fully human, so long as they don't come near him. Cassius believes that since he is pure-blood, he is better than everyone by default. Over time, he is slowly learning more about the muggle world, and how some of the things that they have is not complete trash: like video games.

Basilisk cores are sought after in pure-blood families, or handed down. The core is great at producing powerful offensive and defensive magic. There are many activities that Cassius enjoys. He does love messing with people, though it depends on what it is. He aims to be the strongest in his family! He also loves walking and running, so he will do that at least once a day. He will always snack on apples if he can get his hands on one, and he enjoys the smell of cinnamon. He enjoys potions class, and learning magic in general.
LOATHES
Cassius, as arrogant and vain as he might be, he does not like compliments. He believes that if someone compliments him, they are either trying to suck up to him to use him for something, or that they are not being truthful. He would prefer people leave things be. He does hate bats and dogs because both animals freak him out. Close spaces will also freak him out, so he hates it if he is in a close area. This could include a crowd. He also hates the taste of asparagus and mushrooms. Cassius, in general, just does not like people because he doesn't get along with most.

When he was faced with a boggart in his third year, Cassius discovered that his boggart was a huge, three-headed dog. He read about them once, and because they are a large, vicious dog, he was scared. He can cast the spell needed to make him laugh, which he turned the dog into a tiny chihuahua in a tutu. Cassius has a few strengths that are evident currently. One of them would be his martial arts. He is quick to react, to the point where it is instincts. He does seem to have a strong knack for Transfiguration. Most of the spells that he does only take one or two tries (when he is focused). He can be very protective over those that he cares about, and has an understanding part to him - though he likes to hide it. He can think outside of the box as well. Cassius' boldness is also a strength because he never beats around the bush for what he wants.
WEAKNESSES
Even now, Cassius has an assortment of weaknesses. One of the worst would be his violent behavior. When he gets angry, he reacts straight to violence. This leads to another weakness of his, which would be his hair-trigger temper. It does not take much to make him mad, and when he does get mad, he becomes blinded with rage where he cannot think straight. Another weakness of Cassius' is that he can be extremely jealous, and not listen to reason when he becomes this way. He is also stubborn in his beliefs, so he can be rather close-minded when it comes down to muggle-borns.

Cassius really looks up to his paternal grandfather, Kalif Styx, who taught at Hogwarts New Zealand for several decades. Cassius looks up to him as a good leader and model for the family, wants his attention, but fears him at the same time.

Cassius' loyalties reside within the Slytherin House, and he also has most of his loyalties to the Styx family and the Zhefarovich family. He was raised with a supreme sense of obligation to uphold their values and beliefs, which is what he aims to do.

He will bite and chew on his bottom lip when he is focused on anything, from studying to playing games, he will chew the first layer of skin off of his bottom lip if he is not careful.

Cassius' natural hair is a dark brown, almost black. It is straight and fine. Cass makes sure to use top quality shampoo and conditioner in his hair to keep it healthy. He uses a brush and a comb in order to style it, but he will not use any spray or gel. He does use mousse on occasion, especially if he slept odd and it is not neat. His hair color is a perfect mixture of his dad and mom's.

Cassius' eye color is silver, which is a notable Zhefarovich trait. They are a medium shade, and also tend to darken when he gets angry. He inherited the eye shape and the color from his father. He is still learning to hide his emotions but it is easy to read when one looks into his eyes on how he feels. He does his best to avoid this when he knows he is a little emotionally unstable. So far, he only shows his pride in his eyes, or anger, since he doesn't experience the other ones often at all, which is unfortunate.

Cassius was not as academic as some of his siblings, since he spent more time training with martial arts than any other subject. However, as long as he finished his tasks, he would be able to train with his family, and even learned the history of the Zhefarovich family, which was custom for most children, including when they would receive their marking.

FAVORITE CLASS
Currently, Cassius' favorite class is Transfiguration. For a complicated class, he is actually having an easier time with it, which can be explained with how some of his siblings were pros at it. Cassius thought about becoming an animagus, but he changed his mind when he found out that he could not pick his form. He did not want to turn into a beetle or something lame. He could not chance it.
LOATHED CLASS
Cassius currently hates Astronomy and History of Magic. He does not understand why they bother with either of those classes, especially Astronomy. He does not understand star charts or the like. With History of Magic, he feels that the curriculum needs a desperate redo since some of what they learn pertains to muggles. He does not want to know anything about muggles.

Cassius is due to graduate June 2064.
