Hey guys! Hard to believe this is the first BWU of October - how'd that happen?! Anywho, without further ado and because I suck with these openings 
let's get on with it
Quidditch
Game 3 was a pretty quick one, compared to previous. Unfortunately Gryffindor came out on top this time round (
) with a score of 160 - 0 against Hufflepuff. If you havent had a chance to read it yet head on over here.
Semester 1 Over
Wow, that flew by so quickly. But yes, Semester 1 is now over, all lessons and exams are graded by this point. Thank you to all Professors for getting your grading done on time and everyone can now enjoy a break before Semester 2 starts.
Holiday Forums Open
The holidays are here so get out of the Castle and have some fun. Yes, the holidays forums are now open for just under the next two weeks. So be sure to get all the RPs you have planned/un-planned wrapped up with enough time - we can't wait to read them.
Yule Ball
It's that time of year again! The Yule Ball is currently underway and will be open until Wednesday so be mindful of all your RPs that you are working on and want to get wrapped up within that time-frame. Be sure to head over to the Yule Ball forum here if you haven't had the chance and don't forget to add your pictures in the Accio! topic here also.

Speaking of Accio! (like what I did there?! ) Please note, profile topics will close early in the next semester, the rest will close later, so hurry up and post your pictures in the profile posts before it's too late folks!
Inactivity Policy
As per a new policy on inactivity, if your character holds a job which you would have had to submit an app for e.g. Ministry, Healer, Hogwarts Staff, Daily Prophet, Aurors etc, and you go inactive, you cannot be placed back into the group without reapplying. Characters can be made inactive any time after 90 days of inactivity. If you apply for something and are approved, we expect that you will take advantage of it - essentially, use it or lose it.
Potions Policy
A new IC School policy is that students should wait to be taught a specific potion before they brew them on their own even if they are in the year level for that potion they are brewing, so profs can feel free to crack down on students brewing throughout the school.
Professor Apps
We have 2 new Professor Applications up for you all to have a look at and apply if interested. We are currently hiring for a temporary Astronomy Professor for Years 5-7 and a Muggle Studies Professor Years 3-4. So if you are interested head over here and apply.
