Y48 Sorting Reactions

Sorting is still a short while away, but that doesn't mean we can't have some exciting sorting chats here! It's never too early, right? As always, we love to hear your thoughts and reactions as we work through the process of sorting and transfers and exchanges! This is always such a fun time!

]Are you having a character sorted or transferred this year? Maybe more than one? Ten? (You know who you are. :r

Are you going to try for an exchange student?

Where do you think your character will end up?

Do you think they'll be happy about where they end up? How is it going to impact their first year or their entire schooling? Do you think the sorting hat will have a difficult time placing them? Any character expecting that the sorting hat won't be able to place them and they'll have to go home?

If you've already been sorted: Did you get what you/your character expected? Did the sorting hat say something funny to you? What'd you think of that? How nervous was your character to be sorted? How nervous were you?

Happy Sorting!

It's that time again :frantics:

I wasn't going to sort but I wanted to get this girl (and eventually her brother) off my upcoming character list for how long they've been sitting there.

I'm not sure where she'll go, I'm thinking probably Hufflepuff though she does have a few Gryffindor and Ravenclaw traits. She's a little nerdy and can be adventurous but she's got a bit of the eldest daughter long suffering struggles especially with a loud and obnoxious younger brother so I think her patience and ability to people please will put her in Hufflepuff.

Yayy sorting!!! Can't believe it's time already. Life is still a little crazy for me but my creative energy seems to be back a little bit and I'm hoping to hold on to it the best I can.

Anyway, this year I have one like always with Doyle here. My first muggleborn since Poppy which is crazy. But he's a very normal kid so he is very very very confused by this whole magic thing. While he is excited he's apprehensive about going away to some weird school. He really likes music and is kind of quiet and dorky. My heart is telling me Ravenclaw even if I worry he'll end up an Ethan 2 lol. But I can see some Puff in there too. Not sure where he'll end up but I'm so excited to see!!

I have my boy here and I'm excited for him, he's going to be a menace. He's arrogant, sporty, a little mean but also kinda charming (I hope) and I think he's going to cause a lot of drama at Hogwarts when he's a bit older :r

He's very different from his sister Hazel, but I do think he'll likely be in her house and be another Slytherin. Another option I could see is Gryffindor.

Hehe sorting timee!! I am sorting Mania only this year (for now I shall fight for the restrain to not make more...) Very excited for her and for myself! Last sorting I was still like a baby to the site just joined so I was so nervous and just winged it and prayed for the best! I feel like I am much more confident now so I am totally excited for it!

Nia is the polar opposite to my Lilith I feel like, but I love her almost just as much already and can't wait to see what she gets up to during her time at the school hehe! I kind of see the makings of a Gryffindor on her, but who knows what the hat says. :r

No matter where she falls I know she'll make the most of it and be excited!

Almost sorting time I'm so excited to be back!!! I just have Miles, and from what I have written of him so far, he has a lot of Gryffindor traits so I wouldn't be too shocked if he ends up in red. However, he does have some Hufflepuff in him, loyalty and a bit of a people-pleaser so he could swing either way.

Can't believe it's nearly sorting time already! This year I have Aroha's younger brother and Blenheim middle child, Hēmi. He's a pretty chill guy, I can mostly see him being Hufflepuff but he might surprise me and end up somewhere else (though I doubt it'll be Slytherin).

Can’t believe it’s that time of year already!!! I’m sorting one boy this year! I have a feeling Theo could swing either Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff - He’s got a bit of each trait from each house. Theo loves music, growing up in a musical home where him and all his siblings had to learn an instrument of their choice - Theo is very laidback and friendly and I can’t wait to see what house he’ll be placed! Very exciting!!!

I'm sorting Calliope and maaaybe Asa Physwick!!

Callie I can see in Gryffindor/Hufflepuff, or possibly even Slytherin, but Ravenclaw is unlikely. She's fiercely loyal, stubborn, a little cunning... I think she'll fit anywhere else hehe. I'm excited to have another muggle-born as well. Her experience with magic so far has been mysterious/frustrating and she's a bit apprehensive about it all - though she probably won't admit it

Asa I have a feeling would be a Hufflepuff, or maybe a Claw!! He's quite creative, and more shy than he'd let on, despite being boisterous when he's with his brother

SO I lied, I actually have four to sort, and I don't want to jinx myself with this, but;

Finley Baros: this is Zennon Baros' and Sam Mackintosh's son and anyone that knows anything about Zennon or Sam might be in for a bit of a shock with Finley because he's really not much like his dad at all. Honestly he's not much of his mum either. There have been a lot of different people involved in his upbringing, Slytherin, Gryffindor and even the odd Hufflepuff, so he's a bit of a mix of a lot of people. He's very open and he really likes to joke around with his friends. Of the houses I could see either Gryffindor or Hufflepuff fitting him the most for a couple of different reasons. Gryffindor would likely be the best fit for him because he's really adventurous and well known for taking risks for love and excitement, but he would also probably be very happy in Hufflepuff due to his desire to share any of his experiences with others. If he was to pick one, he would probably go with Gryffindor because most of his favourite people (shh don't tell aunt Leda) are Gryffindors, like his "cousins" Felix, Ned and Ten and his Uncle Mervyn.

Christa Langley: Christa is an Aussie muggle born who isn't quite sure what to do with herself, but she strives to make connections with other people and she loves trying to work things out on her own first. She comes from a family who is used to moving around a lot so settling into one place is a new one for her, yet she's taking to it really well (or as well as she can!) Her loyalty, pragmatism and down-to-earth nature make her a good fit for Huffepuff though. Whilst her curiosity could place her in Ravenclaw (and I would love that actually because I've had a bit of a run of muggleborn Hufflepuffs in the past), her values to be fair and her connection to family and friends stands out more for her I think. She's polite and she wants to "do things right" and that mostly aligns with Hufflepuff's focus on diligence and kindness. Christa feels like someone who thrives in a warm, supportive environment where hard work and steady growth are celebrated. Hufflepuff is her best fit I think!

Hachiro Kaster: Technically third generation, but only technically. His dad was originally sorted, as was his mother, but nether of them technically made it past first year before they were sort of set aside for other things. Same things for his granddad really. Chiro off the cusp reads as Slytherin to me, because he's witty and resourceful and kind of snarky. He's cunning and something of a pragmatist himself too, when he needs to be. He has a very strong, if teasing, relationship and loyalty to his family first. HIs sarcastic wit and preference for being rather creative with words also pushes him closer to Slytherin, over say, Ravenclaw - since they tend to be a little more independent with carving out a path. He doesn't show overt ambition, but his cleverness and his adaptability are big parts of him and his personality, so I'm really interested in seeing where Chiro goes, I like to weave them around their house.

Last but not least, Aaron Dela Cruz: He's a little harder to read because I haven't really gotten around to rping him yet, but I think, sort of off the top of my head, that Ravenclaw seems like it would be the best fit for him. He's inquisitive and he's innovative, and if you combine that with his drive to understand and connect his two worlds together, that sort of reflects Ravenclaw's intellectual and creative spirit. It would nurture his curiosity and provide him with the environment to explore the mysteries of magic and technology together. That said though, his focus on relstionships and loyalty to family often take precedence for him, so Hufflepuff would probably be a close second?

I have three this year xD

Julian Nightray, Daisuke Kaster, and Angelo Dela Cruz. Do ya'll think if I don't say anything, I could end up with none of them as Hufflepuff? =))
