Y36 Club Fair

Jemima headed into the club fair. There were so many people! She knew her brothers hadn't signed up for any clubs so she was hoping that this would mean she could actually get away from them and not have to worry about them being around her all the time. She knew the girls society had their own place, she hoped by joining she could use it. She took her time checking out all the stalls though, but eventually decided just to go with Heta Omega and signed her name with @Emilia Manning

Cami wasn't yet sure how she felt about club fairs. They seemed to have a lot of people which was both annoying and really cool. She hoped she didn't get left out of the bunch. She noted the imposter was here too. Well, she hoped he wasn't signing his name with Zephyr. She didn't care what Elio said about it, they were imposters. Why would any Zephyr want to live in Australia, of all places. It was hot and deserty, not like France, not like her beloved Europe with lovely weather. Even the Netherlands wasn't always up to snuff in her opinion. France was just, absolutely gorgeous, and she'd never want to live anywhere else, except for being here. She signed up for two clubs before leaving. SDA with @Willow Cullen and of course Heta Omega with @Emilia Manning

Mary Lou was excited to sign up for as many clubs as she could and happily moved onto the next one as she left @Nell Wright. She was a bit disappointed that the girl hadn't wanted a cookie, but that wasn't too bad. She listened to what people were saying about the Student Defence Association and honestly given that she'd been having a pretty horrid week, she thought it best she signed up and did so nodding slightly and offering a cookie to both @Analei Louw whom she recognised from the feast as the girl who helped her and @Willow Cullen whom she didn't recognise at all. Next she moved over to @Elliot Briar and offered him a cookie before signing up for his club as well.

After the debacle of the welcome feast a couple of days ago, Caleb could honestly say he was already so done with this school. It wasn't that had didn't like it, but he wasn't a huge fan of the antics some of the students got into especially when he was worrying about being able to concentrate on his work and get decent grades because he didn't want to be sent away after he'd been adopted. He had to work hard and do decently well! In that vein he decided to sign up for the Brotherhood with @Abian Hunter hoping it would allow him some ability to do his work well.

Reid wasn't generally a club person, but he didn't see the harm in signing up to one or two. Maybe just one for now to see how much time and energy it would take seeing as how he was so busy with his music too. He headed over to the table packed with boys and grinned at @Abian Hunter and @Marco Mariani he assumed they were leaders since they were the ones doing all the talking. "I'd like to join please!" He said, delighted at the prospect of being in a club where he might be able to make friends easier.

After being accepted into SDA, Hadley quickly moved on to Heta Omega with @Emilia Manning and then on to the Wild Patch Club with @Elliot Briar . She didn't know much about the clubs, but she figured she could learn as she went. She was too busy now to stop and chat and so she rushed out of the courtyard to try and find the library, which surely wouldn't be that hard.

Liam didn't care about clubs and his ill-fitted wand, which he was absolutely not complaining about at all, made things harder for him, but he was stubborn, he was going to do what he wanted, when he wanted and he'd be damned if he let anyone else tell him any different. He only signed up to the brotherhood because it was one thing he got to make a decision about that he didn't have to worry about and so he quickly signed his name with @Abian Hunter before leaving the courtyard in search of one of his siblings to annoy.

Lina, full name Pavlina if she'd cares to tell, wandered into the courtyard mostly out of curiosity. She'd never really thought much on what to expect of the school, though she'd heard enough stories about it to have some guess. Really she was quite excited to learn more about all of it, though she wasn't sure she could say who it would be best to learn it all from. Ah well, not too much to worry about really. She wandered about, looking at the stalls until she reached one on defence, to which she popped her name into @Analei Louw and then a stall on a girl group, which was definitely right up her ally. Excellent. She placed her name in with @Emilia Manning as well, excited to see how everything would be getting on as the year progressed.

Morgan gasped a little with a smile. She did like planting and flowers in general. She didn't know much about them though, so she thought that this would be a good opportunity to learn how. "Where can I sign up?" Morgan says to the boy ( @Elliot Briar ) while she spoke shyly.

Felicita was pretty apathetic towards the Club Fair, there hadn't been many clubs that peaked her interest in the last few years though she did end up joining the Heta Omega. It was an alright club she supposed. It was interesting enough and the girls were nice too. She didn't interact much with the people there though, it had been weird without Chia there. Still weird in Ravenclaw without her twin. Weirder that they still had different classes - electives. It seemed that a lot of things were changing since they had come to Hogwarts and Feli wasn't sure if it was something that she was happy about. In any case, she decided to not think about it while she was in the Fair. She was going to meet up with Chia here after they all get signed up for their clubs so she made her way over to the Heta Omega booth, searching for @Emilia Manning . It wasn't hard, the older girl was surrounded by other students. "Mind if I join in the fray to join again?" she asked as soon as she could get a word in.

Nikola nodded as @Sebastian Grimm offered him the sign up sheet, and put his name down for the Hogwarts Monthly, before offering it back to @Nell Wright with a polite thank you. He then dragged his Hufflepuff friend away to give him a stern talking to about using people's names inappropriately.

A couple more students arrived at the table to sign up, and Elliot was even surprised to receive a cookie from one of the younger Hufflepuffs, thanking her quickly before answering the question from other girl he was speaking to. "Great, if you're interested, just put your name down here," He said, showing her the sign up sheet. @Morgan Harvelle

Morgan smiled and thank the boy (@Elliot Briar ) for showing her where the sign up sheet was. She then made her way to the sign up sheet and signed her name and everything, before thanking the boy again for her help and skipped away from the booth to see if there was interesting to offer at Hogwarts.

Billie was walking through the fair, looking at all the different stalls opened up for people to sign up to their clubs. It was exciting to her, she had never joined a club before so it was all new. Soon she spots a club that grabs her attention, Hogwarts Monthly. She has heard about it as the official schools news paper. I wonder if they accept first years?

Walking up to the stall, Billie smiles at the girl behind the table, "Hi, so I was wondering, do you accept first years?"

@Nell Wright

She smiled and wrote her name down on the paper. "Thank you!" She said to @Emilia Manning.
The club fair was still full of students and she couldn't find any of her friends so Sofia decided to get back inside.

More people came to the stall Emori had just come to, which only made it better. If there was this much interest in these clubs then it had to count for something, right? At least it would mean they had to be fun. She listened as the boy told her what they did, it was what she had expected to hear and she grinned, it was different to what she would normally (be allowed to) do and all of the foster homes she had lived in she was never allowed to tend to the garden. "Great, it sounds like fun!" she exclaimed, not hesitating as she scribbled her name on the sign up sheet. She also took a flower crown, thanked the club leader and moved onto the next club that she’d had her eye on. She noticed there were a few people who were here as well, and she waited for her turn, wanting to know more about this. Artemis had said it was the duelling club, but hadn’t given any more details. "Hi!" she greeted the two girls, who were probably the leaders of the club, she was happy to see female leads about something important for a change. "Can first years join? Do we learn how to duel too? And how do I sign up?"
@Elliot Briar @Willow Cullen @Analei Louw

Emori had wandered off on her own, and Thalia was a little envious that she was able to just go to the different clubs and not be shy or scared to do it. Well, Thalia hadn’t been scared, she just usually preferred not to be on her own when it came to these things. She said bye to the older girl of the sisterhood before she grabbed Tee’s hand and led the way to the school paper. She was surprised to recognise the girl behind the table in her house, though she had no idea of her name. She wasn’t a prefect, Thalia was convinced she would have known her otherwise. "Hi," she said timidly, briefly glancing at her sister before turning back to the older girl. "I was wondering if I have to audition for the paper or show my work or something before signing up?" she asked, hoping she didn’t have to do it right now in front of other people. It would be mortifying. But maybe she could show her stuff to the girl in the common room, or something.

Ana smiled at the older girl, patiently waiting for her turn to write her name on the sign up sheet. She still wasn't sure whether joining two clubs was going to a good call but she didn't really care. For now it seemed fun. She happily took one of the bracelets and waved goodbye as she left the table again. No need to hang around when it's this busy.

Emerson hadn't gone to this event during the previous year but he had heard all about the clubs throughout last year. This made him quite interested in seeing what there was, he already had in mind to joint he Wild Patch, he thought it sounded quite interesting, taking care of plants and roses and he wanted to do something to help himself make some new friends outside of his housemates. "Hello, can I sign up?" He asked a taller and older boy standing at the table for the Wild Patch.

@Elliot Briar

Bada wanted to show her Head of House he'd done well in picking her and so she decided she needed to step out of her comfort zone and make time for some clubs. She knew Elliot was in charge of the Wild Patch so that was a club she was keen to join since he was a nice friend to talk to and they both were new at being prefects this year. But she also was interested in the girl's club Heta Omega. She hadn't ever thought about joining clubs before so she was rather nervous going to the event where it was mostly first years wondering about. But she did see her Head of House there when she headed into the courtyard and she smiled and nodded towards him. "Hello, I was interested in joining Heta Omega," Bada said to Emilia, who she knew was a 7th year in her house. She hoped she'd be able to join and hadn't missed her chance in her younger years.

@Emilia Manning

Vader glanced up as another student approached him. He'd seen the girl around, she was a little younger than he was, but not by much. He hadn't seen her with a camera, but he knew that Anastasie was graduating, so perhaps if they got along. that could work. Vader smiled and nodded, "Sure," he said, handing her a form to fill out.

There were a mix of clubs on offer, Terrell wasn't interested in most of them, but the Brotherhood of Magic did catch his eye as one that was worthy of joining. "Hey, can I sign up?" He asked @Abian Hunter

Willow smiled as @Edward Elric asked if he could practice quidditch with her. "sure. so long as @Jatin Tiwari can come too. I promised him to help him with quidditch a while back. and we just haven't had the time" she said thinking about the boy. it really had been ages ago that he had asked her. as the boy @Luxen Silverback II who she had heard a bit about told edward to talk quidditch another time she looked at him. to sign up just put your name year and house on that piece of parchment and we will let you know when the first meeting it" she said. Another Girl with a strong accent @Liusaidh Fergusson came over to the table and asked to sign up cutting the conversation about quiddtich short. "Of course you can join. and it wont be long until you are old enough to duel. just put your name house and year on that piece of parvhment" she said. wondering how many times she would be saying that today.
As the first boy who spoke to her @Beckett Harrington asked if they could still learn spells she nodded "Of course. you can learn spells. you will be learning them mainly in class but it is a good chance to paractice them and maybe learn a few extra ones. she said. before turning to a girl who was asking what SDA stood for. "It stands for Student defence association. we are a club that learns about and practices different types of defensive magic. we also run an annual duelling competition which is always popular, you can see some pictures from last years one" she said pointing to some of the pictures on the desk. she was pretty sure she had heard analei answer the question but there were so many people it was hard to keep track.
another couple of students approached them @Lois Redfront and @Land Zephyr. The girl asked if she could join. "Of course. just put your name house and year on that piece of parchment. and grabb a liquoice wand if you want them, you are both Gryffindors right? welcome to the best house. she said before she was approached by another girl asking when the first meeting was. She had an idea for the fist meeting but she needed to discuss it with Analei and i would take a bit of organisation. "WE will let you know when it is when we have a date." she said. there were so many people and they just kept coming. she was glad that her year was never as bug as this years first year crowd. just then another girl approached her @Mary Lou Prindeou she was pretty sure her brother pointed her out to her once. a quite girl. the girl who had passeed out in potions. she had never spoken to her but she was offering her a cookie. "Thank you. were you wanting to sign up for SDA?" she asked. wondering if she wanted to sign up or if she was just being nice offering cookies.
the next girl, @Cami Zephyr was quick to sign up. just putting her name on the paper ad leaving it seemed like she was not wanting to hang around i the crowd of people in the courtyard and to be honest willow couldnt blame her. then another girl @Emori Pourroulis came asking how to sign up. she was actually impressed with how many girls were signing up. "Of corse you can join. you can learn to duel but can't take part in the competition until next year. and signing up is easy. just put your name on that piexe of parchment with your house and year and we will let you know hwne there is a meeting" she said. realising that the huge crowd was a good hting as it meant that she didn't need to talk to or play nice with analei. as they were both too busy answering questions and handing out the member list

((if you have tagged me in a post have tried to tag you back. please let me know if i have missed anyone))

Beckett said "I'm all in for learning a few extra spells and train some more" and signed up to the SDA club.
@Willow Cullen

It didn’t take very long for one of the older girls to answer her question, and she was eager to try out duelling, and she nodded as she explained to Em that first years weren’t allowed to complete in the duelling competition. She then shrugged at this, she could wait to participate in some tournament, as that would give her the chance to practice her duelling skills. It was a useful skill to have, and it seemed like fun, too. "Amazing, looking forward to learning everything there is to know about duelling," she said with a smile, before she quickly put her name down on the sign up sheet. It was going to be a busy but interesting year for her.
