Yeah I work for my parents doing conveyancing at their law firm and I'm studying conveyancing. I...kinda hate it? :lol: every time i wanted to quit and move away someone else quit and now there's hardly anyone else.

And ooh yeah, Yuelia is a weird sort and a bit spoiled :r I think over time she'll be humbled a bit but she's not necessarily cruel or anything. :lol:

Brownie update: I forgot to buy enough chocolate to melt into the mixture, so I kinda just used a combo of the two recipes you guys gave me and made the rest up as I went along and one of my coworkers said it was the best brownie they'd ever had so thank you HAHA :r

Bought some from a cafe once that were still raw in the middle. Not gooey, actually raw. x_x

Home made are usually good though!

Question - how do you all deal with writer's block? I'm a bit burned out on IRL stuff and it's blocked up the creative part of my brain. This is also impacting an assignment I'm currently trying to finish. x_x

If you don't get writer's block, can I study your brain for a solution? :r
 
How is everyone's weekend going?

My new mattress came yesterday. It made me question how I ever got a good night's sleep with the old one xD

My weekend has been good. I went down south with my mum. we didn't do much just a jigsaw anr read. though I am getting fed up of not being able to walk. I will be an expert at balancing on my right foot at the end of this week. to be honest I am looking forward to getting back on my feet and back to work. as much as I love my parents. i could do with socialising a little more widely.
 
Me: I really need a good night's sleep.
Also me: goes to bed 5/6 hours before alarm goes off.

Same, I keep staying up too late and not doing a good night routine of reading and then going to bed at like, 10/10:30 :lol:

I also didn't really do anything on the weekend, it's cold and rainy and I've been burned out irl. I'm glad the new mattress is working well, Cyndi! Hopefully the cast comes off soon Mia.

My boyfriend asked if I wanted us to get engaged when he comes to visit...to which I said no. :r

how is everyone? Does anyone have any weekend plans?
Despite the fact it is basically my birthday weekend my parents are away for the weekend but my plans are narrowed down to baking on Sunday (and yes i am making a cake to take into work) I should have been on the ball more about organising something, even if just a small virtual party

Birthday weekend here and I'm cleaning today, picking up my HP cake, and my birthday present.
Then tomorrow, hair cut, Seaworld for concerts and roller coasters. Haven't decided on whether or not I'll do Epcot for Sunday.

I need to do some chores this weekend, namely laundry, and then will probably just sleep the weekend away. I've had some pretty hardcore insomnia lately which I guess is good practice for when the little bean arrives but not super helpful in the here and now. xD

I'm...doing my business compliance assignment that's due tomorrow that I have barely started. :r That one I should be able to get done once I wake up a bit, it's next weekend's I'm a bit more worried about since I didn't know I'd have an assignment due and I booked a ticket to go see Gang of Youths in Melbourne (nearly 4 hour drive from here, so I have to stay overnight on the Saturday). I hate how this college is like here have an assignment due for each subject 3 weekends in a row but here we are. At least the gig is exciting.

In Australia, spring is when magpies start coming out in force and if you're unlucky/walking in certain areas they'll swoop on you and it's unpleasant!

I had a pigeon swoop at me once, if I hadn't ducked it would have flown straight into my face, is that the British equivalent? xD

No posts since August? I didn't think spammy would be x_x when I came to say hi. :teehee:

Anyway, @Monty Pendleton has been bugging me to say hi for 2 months. xD Now I actually have the energy to do it. Updates:
  • I worked as a barista at Starbucks for a stint before I got a real job. *Joking. All Starbucks jobs are real jobs.
  • Before starting a new job, I caught COVID for a week. It was like an intense cold with lots of coughing. But, I am all better.
  • I accepted a full-time job as a Staff Accountant in August! Check out my photo on the staff page.
  • For my birthday in May, I adopted a 6-10yo cat from a rescue. (I've heard different ages from the rescue and their vet, but he's healthy nonetheless)
  • I'm preparing to take classes again to become CPA-eligible. I hate school so much...
  • I really, really, really miss x_xface because there isn't an emoji like it on iPhone and is the only accurate expression of all my feels.
Well, that's all folks! I hope everyone and their characters are well and safe. I'm unsure about the latter for characters knowing y'all. :glare: :D
