Tryouts were over now and April was glad. She felt bad having to turn some people away, and was happy to move past that experience now. She just wanted to play, and with the first match still a long way off, she decided that she should take advantage of this time by practicing as much as possible. April had sent notes to the team to meet her on the pitch at this time, and she waited for them impatiently. The chest with the Quidditch balls was by her feet, as was her broom. She hoped everyone would hury up, she was itching to practice.

OOCOut of Character:
Just arrivals now, but I'll probably open it tomorrow so we get to play a lot! Practice will be open for two weeks

Though Analei really wanted to focus on her studies this year, she knew that Quidditch would be good for her, mentally as well as physically. She loved Quidditch, and tried so hard to get onto the team, there was no way she wasn't going to join the team again. Excited, Analei nearly skipped to practice with Arvel and broom in tow. Analei greeted their captain as soon as they got there, ready to get going.

Amy couldn't believe that she had made the team. Even as an alternate, she was pleased. She was super nervous when she got the practice note, but she tried to remember that they weren't playing yet. She made her way down to practice, her new broom in hand. When she found that she was one of the first there, with other people she didn't really know, she stood a little to the side. She didn't want to be nervous, but it had happened nonetheless.

Arvel would sooner have dropped some of his subjects than drop off the quidditch team. If anything, quidditch gave him the energy he needed to wade through the the mountains of books and essays. He almost had to jog to keep up with Analei as they headed to the pitch. Running out of energy rarely seemed to be a concern in her life. What he wouldn't have done for her enthusiasm! He glanced around for Abian. They'd been practising together a lot lately, though a team practice was probably long overdue.

Elliot wasn't sure if the feeling in his stomach on the way to quidditch pitch was nerves or excitement, but either way he'd made it. Even as an alternate, Elliot was just excited to have a spot on the team, and honestly an alternate was preferable to him for now, the idea of playing in a real game was still a bit spooky. He recognized some of the team from watching the games in the previous years, but as he got to the pitch, Elliot was relieved that he knew both Amy and Aonghas on the team, giving Amy a quick wave and standing near her as he anxiously waited for April to get things rolling.

Therese was so ready for this new season of Quidditch. And it would be her last. So she wanted to help Hufflepuff in any way she could. The brunette walked towards the Quidditch Pitch and saw some new faces and younger ones. She smiled towards them and went standing close to April. She was glad she was their captain, she was kind and always been a good seeker the brunette thought. For her it would be her last year too ofcourse. Therese smiled at April. '' Hey! Congratulations with captain. Let's make our last one the best one!'' Therese than said. And looked to her other teammembers for a moment.

Patrick was glad that he had finally received the full position of beater on the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team. He had always been stuck as an alternate until now and Patrick was proud of himself that he finally managed it. The boy was happy to see there was a practice for the team. He made his way to the pitch promptly, nodding a hello to the captain and smiling slightly at the new faces that would be his teammates. He was looking forward to the practice and hoped that it would be able to help him in their next upcoming game.

April smiled at Therese. "Thanks!" She told her friend. "We're going to win the cup this year, for sure!"

Once everyone had arrived, April beamed. "Let's just practice, guys! Less talking, more flying." She grinned. "Therese, guard the south hoops. Chasers, try to score there please. Elliot and I will be playing against each other for the snitch." She winked at the younger boy. Then April released the balls for the practice and clapped her hands. "Go!"

She took to the air herself, trying to catch sight of the snitch, but it had flown off quickly. Ah well, April would find it soon enough.

Therese smiled at April and nodded. She stepped on her broom and listened to April and flew to the south hoops to protect them. All those chasers were gonna try and score and Therese just had to stay alert very well. The brunette tried to find her balance and flew some circles to warm and and stretched her arms. She was ready, they could come at her.

Norton was on the pitch nice and early for the practice. he waved excited towards April as she told them what they would be doing. He got up on his broom and shot up into the air. He adjusted his hold on the bat and shot off in search of a bludger.

Aonghas liked being an alternate, he liked the lack of pressure it provided him. He was able to enjoy playing without worrying about actually winning. The teen got on his broom and when the captain threw up the quaffle. He rushed forward and then grabbed the quaffle and then flew towards the hoops they were supposed to score in.

April was pleased by how the team listened to her. It was still a bit of a surprise, she didn't really feel in charge. She flew over to where Therese was guarding the hoops and gave the girl a thumbs up. It didn't seem like the snitch was there, so she flew on.

Therese saw people going into the air as well and she needed to see who would have the quaffle. And she was glad to see Rory's brother a part of the team. As an alternate again, but that was a part too. The brunette tried to see how fast he was coming closer to her and was on her guard. She put an thumbs up back to April, she had to find the snitch.

Elliot was excited to get up in the air and play, though he felt his gut clench when April mentioned they'd be playing against each other. He knew it was only practice, but he still couldn't help feel a little intimidated. At least it would be understandable if he wasn't able to keep up with her. He kicked off when April released the balls, taking a few moments to just breath and get some height before beginning his search. Unfortunately, it seemed like he might have lingered too long, as when he began his sweep for the snitch, it seemed to be long gone.

Analei listened to the instructions before kicking off into the air. She had never played with Aonghas before but grinned at him as he caught the Quaffle. She stuck close to him Incase he wanted to pass, but was keen to see him score as well.

When Aonghas got close enough, he attempted to score, but the ball went wide. He knew he would need to work on it. But as an alternate he was sure he'd be just fine. He assumed a position, keen to let the other chasers go, knowing he'd only fly in if it was heading right for him.

Practice had just started in earnest and Elliot tried to not let himself be upset that he had completely lost sight of the snitch. Doing his best to not focus too hard on what April was doing, Elliot circled the pitch slowly, getting distracted briefly by Aonghas attempting to score. Shaking his head when he refocused, Elliot sighed, starting his sweep of the pitch from scratch and making a mental note to stay on task with still no sign of the snitch.

Practice started and Amy flew off with the others. She followed behind, just incase she needed to catch the Quaffle. One of the other Chasers attempted to score but didn't make it. Amy wondered if she'd manage to score of she tried. Somehow, she ended up with the Quaffle and began flying toward the hoops. Unfortunately, she didn't put enough strength into her throw and it went under the hoops. She grimaced, but flew back. Maybe next time, she thought.

Analei grabbed the Quaffle after Amy attempted to score, feeling good being back in the air again, with the ball under her arm. She zoomed around the hoops and back to in front of them, before throwing the Quaffle towards the middle hoop, grinning as it went through. Obviously her practicing over the break had helped!

Abian had followed Aonghas when he had grabbed the quaffle, and felt disappointed for the younger boy when he missed. He spotted Analei grabbing the quaffle, and followed her now instead. He was happy to have a practice, he wanted to try passing back and forth more with people that weren't Arvel. He and Arvel had it down, but he had to play with other people too. Analei was a good chaser, there was much he could learn from her.

Patrick listened as the captain briefed the team, telling them who would be playing where. She quickly started the practice and Patrick didn't hesitate as he mounted his broom and headed straight up into the air with his bat in hand in search for a bludger to hit. He had no luck however in hitting bludgers yet and just continued flying around, hoping he would be able to find more soon.

Elliot's heart lept when he thought he saw something glimmering near the north goal hoops, tilting his broom forward slowly as if he were scared he might spook it. As he approached though, he realized quickly it was just the like catching the goal posts and sighed, leveling back out to continue his slow, measured sweep of the field. He didn't know how April managed this in actual games with all the pressure.

Therese looked closely as she saw Aonghas closing to her and stayed alert when he tried to score with her. But he missed. Therese smiled shortly at him, he was doing his best for sure. If he had the talent of his brother it would be fine all soon. Therese saw a lot of chasers coming at her and she knew it would be busy for her. The younger other alternate tried to score but she failed too. So far so good. The brunette than saw the next one coming. Wow they really were fast. She was not fast enough this time and Analei managed to score. Therese didn't mind it would be good to scoring too. And this way she got good practice. '' Good job Analei!'' Therese than said to the younger girl as she grabbed the quaffle and threw it back into the game. Hopefully she had some rest now after three attemps really close at eachother to focus again and stop them all.

April beamed at Analei as she managed to score and gave the girl a thumbs up. But she flew over to the chasers to say something. "Try flying around with it a bit more before scoring again, practice holding it as you fly and passing it back and forth, but good job Analei!" She grinned at the younger girl, then zoomed off in pursuit of the snitch.

Abian picked up the Quaffle after Analei managed to score, offering the girl a high five in passing. Taking the captain's advice, Abian started to fly a half lap with the quaffle tucked under his arm. He kept an eye on the other chasers, ready to pass it to them if they are anywhere near.
