Hufflepuff Quidditch Practice

Abian followed Analei as she flew away with the quaffle. He was surprised when she passed the Quaffle to him, and kept it for a while before passing it back to her with a grin.

April was glad the chasers were active and passing the Quaffle back and forth. But she saw no sign of the snitch yet, which was frustrating.

Elliot felt like he was going to have a crick in his neck after looking around so much. Trying to keep things fresh, he tried switching his sweep East to West across the pitch, with still no sign of the snitch.

Amy flew just behind the others, watching them pass between them. It was definitely obviously they had played together. She hoped that maybe one day she could get to that point too.

Patrick kept flying around the quidditch pitch, no sign of bludgers anywhere. He wondered whether or not they were even released as he kept on flying, trying his best to concentrate and stay alert so he could find one. As he saw one heading towards him from the corner of his eye he swung his bat back wide to hit it but to no avail. With a sigh, he just kept going, glad that this was only a practice and not a real game.

Analei was pleasantly surprised when Abian threw the Quaffle back at her and she grinned at him before speeding towards the hoops and throwing the Quaffle with all her might. She didn't know whether it was a good thing or not that Therese managed to stop it but she still felt upset about it - but at least their keeper was good!

Elliot thought for a moment he saw something near the goal Therese was guarding, awkwardly hovering as close as he dared without interrupting her or the chasers from their own practice. By the time he finally eased close enough to really get a proper look, he couldn't spot any sign of the glint he'd seen. Trying not to think too much about whether the snitch was playing with him or if he was just imagining things, Elliot flew back near the center of the pitch, sighing as he began his slow sweep again.

April followed Elliot when he suddenly sped off, figuring she could probably beat him in a direct race if he really had seen the snitch. But if the snitch had been there, it had left already. She sighed and turned around, not wanting to seem like she was just following his lead.

After Analei attempted to score and missed, Abian got his hands on the quaffle again. He flew off with it, keeping an eye out for his fellow chasers. He wanted to help Amy a bit, and hoped to pass to her so she could score.

Elliot flinched when he saw movement behind him, realizing it was only April. He didn't know if she was just following the same thing he had seen or maybe watching him for mistakes, but it made him feel a little paranoid. He knew she was their captain and probably just wanting to help, but Elliot still let out a relieved breath when she pulled away again, thankful to have a little space to keep searching for the snitch without the added pressure of the captain's eyes.

Amy followed the others, and was disappointed when they missed. She flew with them, hoping they would pass. She felt a little more comfortable now, and wanted to try and score.

Abian spotted Amy flying nearby and caught her eye, he smiled at her and then passed her the quaffle. "Give it a go!" He said encouragingly.

Amy grinned when she caught the Quaffle. Flying towards the hoops, she positioned herself and threw it. The Quaffle didn't make it through the hoops, but she knew that practicing would help.

April was glad the chasers were passing back and forth, though she hadn't seen much of the beaters. Then again, she hadn't seen many bludgers either, which meant they were probably doing their job of keeping them away. She flew a bit lower in hopes of spotting the snitch.

Elliot took a moment to take a break, stretching and watching the chasers fly back and forth. It was good to see Amy getting some time with quaffle and he smiled before resettling himself on his broom and resuming the hunt. He knew seeking too patient, but he hadn't realized how much hard work could go into even a practice round.

Therese was doing an amazing job at blocking their goals, and Analei was feeling a bit frustrated now. She caught the Quaffle after Amy tried, and did a zoomy loop of the field before trying to throw the Quaffle through the hoop again, groaning loudly when she didn't, again.

Seeker was definitely an exciting position to play, but as practice went on, Elliot was starting to feel a little lonely too. The only other player without a counterpart was the Keeper, but they had to fend off the chasers all day, so it wasn't quite the same. Still, Elliot was glad he was the alternate anyway, continuing to scan quietly for any sign of snitch.

Therese was doing her job well, and Abian gave Analei a sympathetic glance before he grabbed the quaffle and flew off with it. He hoped his next attempt would be successful.

The chasers were trying their best, but Therese was doing an excellent job blocking their attempts to score. It was good for their team that they had a good keeper, but it would be good for the chaser morale if they managed to score a few more points too. April wasn't sure what would be better.

Patrick was definitely starting to get tired and he thought that perhaps the rest of the team was too, especially since no one seemed to be scoring any goals anymore and not even April had caught the snitch yet. Nonetheless, the teen pushed on, wanting to be able to hit at least one bludger that practice. When he saw one coming his way, he tried to hit it again but to no avail. Quidditch was much harder than what some people made it out to be.

Abian attempted to score once more, but he already knew it would fail the moment the Quaffle left his hands. He sighed as Therese blocked it easily, but gave her a thumbs up anyway. At least she was playing well.

April was growing more and more frustrated, and also a bit concerned that maybe the snitch had somehow escaped? She hoped not, that would be awkward to explain to the referee.

Elliot's nose and ears were starting to get cold being up in the air so long. He wondered how Quidditch players handled something like that in games where the weather was bad or the game ran extra long. Would it be detrimental to wear earmuffs? Trying to focus on his search for the snitch more than the chill, Elliot shook the thought out of his mind.

April thought she heard the snitch fly past her, but when she whirled around in mid-air she saw no sign of it. Annoyed and a bit frustrated, she flew on. She kept an eye out for any sign of it.

It seemed the only person having any luck in the game was Therese. She caught the Quaffle and flew away again, trying to focus herself. Flying near her teammate * , Analei threw the Quaffle at them and gave them a smile. "You got this!"

*Can be any chaser
