Elliot had been so caught up watching for the snitch he forgot there were other things out on the pitch he should have been keeping an eye for. He was handily reminded of one such things presence when he felt a bludger collide with his shoulder, feeling his broom sway alarmingly as all the air was knocked out of him. It hurt, and Elliot was relieved he managed to keep ahold of his broom, feeling the pain radiate down from the hit on his shoulder all the way to his fingertips. Catching his breath and blinking a few tears from his eyes, Elliot let himself drop a few feet in the air, just to feel the security of not being so far from the ground. He needed a moment for the throbbing pain to clear before he could even think about looking for the snitch again.
