Y48 End of Year Feast

Conan nearly snorted at the image of James' kid trying to incite another riot - perhaps if she and Rica were the same age, they would get along. When his boss finally got everyone in control - or at least Conan hoped so, he wiped his mouth with a napkin and pushed his food away to get up and start doing some cleaning - thank Merlin for wands and magic. Perhaps it was best to start with the Hufflepuff table - he was not biased towards his old house at all.

Veronica smiled at Ten as she jumped down from the table and back into her seat. Would she get off scot-free? Yeah maybe, but if not she would take her punishment on the chin and deal with it.

Ten was still glaring at Veronica as she told the Head Girl to calm down, her privilege paramount. Even when Veronica decided to take a seat back down, Ten said nothing to her and decided she wasn't really hungry anymore. If her mum was still teaching here, she wondered whether she would have been on the side of the Headmaster or whether she would have sat back and let the chaos unfold. Unfortunately for her, Ten would never know. She got up out of her seat and left the Great Hall, deciding she needed to spend the last few hours with her plants before heading home.

Felix was trying to pull the bits of potato out of Mania's hair without tugging on her actual hairs. He thought about getting his wand out to clean it, but given the professors warning about spells he didn't risk it. "Don't worry about it," he said truthfully, brushing her clean hair over her left shoulder once it had no flecks left in it. After a few minutes he thought he'd gotten most of it, or at least all he could without a brush. He looked up as a redhead flew past him and out of the Great Hall, and wondering whether his sister was upset about something, Felix wondered whether now was a good time as any to see what was going on. They'd had a good conversation a couple of weeks ago, the siblings on much more civil ground than they ever had been before. "I'll see you later, yeah?" Felix told Nia, knowing he'd be seeing Finley in the holidays anyway, Felix slid out from the bench and jogged after Ten.

Leah had been so deep in her own feels that she hardly noticed a food fight break out until some mash potatoes crashed onto her plate. She had to dodge few throws but was unscathed by the time the headmaster told them off. She looked incredulously at Veronica as she stepped on the table once everything was already dying down. She smirked at Anisha's comment but wasn't surprised at the younger girl's attitude. Leah knew she should leave it alone but the urge to get in one last jab ate at her. "Yeah nothing's that serious when your dads head of house." she said mostly to her self as she rolled her eyes and took a sip of her drink.

Santiago was about to answer Friday's question but groaned as a food fight broke out at one end of the table. Thankfully it was over quickly and they avoided getting caught in the crossfire. Finally he could speak again without fear of getting hit. "Well I'm staying with my uncle in New Zealand for the break." he explained. It was the first time he had actually asked his parents to let him stay instead of begging to go home. He had to fight harder than expected to get his way but finally they seemed willing to listen to him. Not that he was going to tell her all that. "I'll have a lot of free time, probably. If you were also free we could maybe hang out outside of school too." he said rambling a little and reached for his drink. "If you wanted to." he said practically into his cup. @Friday Weeks

Marley smiled sympathetically at the older boy. His statement had Marley start to think about what she wanted to do once she left Hogwarts, but she knew she had to start thinking about it. "I'm sure it's okay, you don't have it figured out yet," Marley says with a small smile and shrug. "Did you have any ideas in mind? Or are you just nervous at the thought about what you wanna do?"

@Ezra Ito

Fiona smiled and shrugged. "Hmm, I don't think so. Might have to help my cousin settle in before he comes to Hogwarts, though," Fiona says with a small shrug. If she were being honest, she didn't like the idea of babysitting her younger cousin, it felt like it was her older siblings' job to help him settle in. "How about you? Any sort of plans during the break?" Fiona asks the question back to her friend, though it seemed chaos had broken loose and Fiona instantly ducked from all the food that had started to fly around everywhere...

Theo nodded as the two older boys explained about when Ravenclaw had last won the house cup. He, however, frowned a little when they had told him it had been a while since they had won the cup. "Oh gee, that sounds like a long time then aye?" Theo muttered at the older boys and then looked up at that annoying polgerist as it had interrupted the feast, though he tilted his head at what the polgerist had said. That could be a possibility.

Thomas smiled appreciatively at his roommate as he passed the chicken towards him. "Thanks," Thomas says with a thankful nod as he places a chicken or two on his plate before putting it down somewhere. "Oh yeah, definitely," Thomas says with a nod and a smile. He was relieved to be going home. "How about you? Got any plans?"

Teo wasn't sure what to do when the girl sat down with him. He wiped a bit of the food off his face, trying to offer a smile to both her and the girl he'd thrown the first spoon of potatos at. "Hi! I'm uh- I'm Teo." He offered, cursing a little. "I mean, my name is Theodore, but ah, I prefer Teo." @Calliope Cartwright @Mania Athanasiou

Mania played with her hands as Felix did his thing with her hair. It felt nice, she'd admit that. As a kid Hera had sometimes done her hair and she'd loved it but then Hera had gone off to school and nobody else really wanted to play with or do her hair. Her shoulders stiffened as he brushed her hair over her shoulder, but seeing the cleaner strands made her smile. A familiar redhead ran past them and caught Felix's attention, not that she blamed him. "Sure," She said with a smile, not sure how or when they'd run into each other again.

Once Felix was gone Nia turned back to the table and her eyes landed on Callie now sitting next to the boy that had ruined her clean hair. he introduced himself as Teo, or well Theodore but preferably Teo. "I'm Mania, but please just use Nia and if you ever throw mash into my hair again I'll make sure your pillow is never cool and that you'll step on legos every morning AND only have the bad flavoured jelly beans." Nia cracked a smile, indicating she was joking but only half so.

Naveen shrugged. He wasn't sure why everyone was so keen to do stuff over the holiday. Personally he needed the peace and quiet for a month or two before he could face coming back to school. "Not really." he answered honestly. "But my cousin just graduated so we're having a pretty big family party when we get home." he said, not sure if Thomas realized he was related to the head girl it wasn't like he shared her academic focus. Although he was starting to wonder if his family might be expecting either his sister or him to be head student in a few years. The thought made his palms sweat. @Thomas Fitzgerald

Peregrine had kind of spoken without thinking, and now she felt rather awkward. Her mother had always stressed that she needed to control her temper, and for the most part Peregrine thought she did a very good job at it. It was a bad look to have tantrums, since she was so grown up and all. She shrank down a little in her seat, giving a shy and embarrassed smile to Miles. "Um, I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to get so annoyed...that's really nice of you thank you." Was it even polite to take anything offered? She wasn't used to this situation, and now she was worried she looked greedy. And petty. The trip home couldn't come soon enough.
@Miles Flynn

Friday dodged out the way of any food, rolling her eyes at their antics and then glanced back at Santiago. She would also have a lot of free time, since she did not intend to get a job until she absolutely had to. "I'd like that," she said.
