Open Y47 End of Year Feast

June didn't mind that this year was over. She wanted to continue for her bigger goal, and this next year was just an year without any big meaning. Just an few tiny goals and some preperations for something bigger. And as she sat with the students of Slytherin she listened to the headmaster giving his speech. But she waited for one moment. She applauded for Slytherin who once again took the victory back. Ravenclaw was not winning this year and she knew that her effort was from great value for Slytherins win. When the headmaster was speaking of specific students who worked hard June was all ears. She was confident she did very well. And when her name was getting called as first place top earner from the whole school twice she smiled brightly making sure she showed everyone. She could almost stand up and wave to everyone in the hall. But she was no fool. She looked over to Professor Castillo making sure he knew once more that she was the best now the headmaster knew it again too. The other persons she didn't cared about, but the fact that Teddy was second was in a way amusing to her. And ofcourse Hufflepuff was last, they just didn't got what it took. You didn't had to tell June that.

She watched to the left side of her at the table she heard some noice. Someone was boo-ing her. And quickly looked around. She didn't had to guess who it was, and saw not that far away from her Morrie but also Vanity close to her. Giving eachother an high five. Now for June tweedle dee and tweedle dum they were. June didn't expect anything else. With succes there was jealousy. And it was amusing to her that they were so obsessed with her. She made an gesture with her both hands like an fake cry. And stood up walking closer to them, pretending she was gonna grab some food there. '' I'm so hurt by this.'' She said sarcastic. As she took an apple close from them. '' Prepare your next letter, bullies.'' June said with an smirk, looking them in the eye. And turned around to go back to her own seat.

If there was one thing Vex enjoyed above all else, it was getting into the middle of things he really didn't need to be meddling in. He rubbed his hands together as he watched the chorus of Boos ringing out across the tables, and looked down at the girls who seemed to have started it. He didn't care about how or why, but he did like getting involved, that was kind of his whole deal. "BOOO!" he shouted at the top of his lungs, a band of instruments floating above the two Slytherins who'd started it off. "BOOOOO!" He didn't have anything else to add, because he didn't know what the booing was actually about, but he didn't think it mattered, or really cared as long as he got to "BOOOOOOO!"
 
Morrie burst out laughing when Vanity turned out to be on the exact same wavelength as her, returning the high five and enjoying that they weren't the only Slytherins to boo either, and even Vex was joining in now. Her amusement grew when June opened her big mouth to demand another apology letter from them. "Oh, yeah, absolutely,” Morrie said sweetly, patting her pockets like she was searching for something. “I’ve got it right here, actually.” She followed that up by flipping a finger at June in a gesture some might consider rude.

Emery knew this was supposed to be a big sentimental thing, his final official event here at Hogwarts, but he was honestly kind of over it all already. He had brought a book and was reading it while the Headmaster spoke on, clearly not caring. He just wanted to move forward, preferably with Raawhiti, and forget about this place if he could. He wasn't in the best mood, so when someone near him asked if he could pass him a bun, Emery just gave him a cold look. "No." He said, before returning his attention to his book.

Penelope had told herself she wasn't going to cry at the feast. She wouldn't. But as she sat here, for the final time in the Great Hall, listening to Professor Alcott-Ward's now familiar speech, she knew she was probably not going to keep that up for very long. She glanced over at Marnie and gave her a weak smile. She was trying to think of something she could say that didn't sound dramatic or sad, but it was hard. "I wonder who will win next year." She ended up saying, gesturing up to the green and silver they had seen almost every year they had been at Hogwarts. But then she realized they wouldn't be here to see it and her smile faltered. Why was everything tinged in sadness now?

Lilith was amazed that her first year at Hogwarts was done, it felt like yesterday that she arrived at the castle bursting at the seams at the possibilities of learning. She clapped at each name of those who had gained their respective houses points. She was excited to get back to home to Finland and tell her family all about the second semester. Though a part of her was sad and dreaded leaving these halls that had become her second home, but she tried to remind herself she'd be back next year and her life would be filled with new possibilities and things to learn again.
 
Anisha couldn't believe her sixth year was officially over. It was strange, thinking she would only come back for one more year at Hogwarts. She had achieved something she really wanted this year, winning the duelling tournament for her year again, but she still felt like she had so much left to do. She applauded for the top points earners, but did roll her eyes when she heard Teddy Pirrip act like he didn't want to win. She didn't understand why he pretended not to care about house points when he clearly worked very hard to earn as many as possible. Who did he think he was fooling? She loaded food onto her plate and looked up when she heard a familiar voice. She smiled at Apolline. "Nothing big, mostly going to hang with family and make plans for the NEWT prepping." She said honestly. "I'm hoping to read a lot too." She smiled, putting some more potatoes on her plate. "What about you?"

Alicia wasn't a person who did a lot of reflecting, but she couldn't really help it now that her first year at Hogwarts had ended. She had sort of started this adventure impulsively, but she had really grown to like the school. She sometimes missed Beauxbatons, but she knew she would be coming back here next year. She had found friends, and had even gotten herself a girlfriend. It was difficult to imagine letting that go. Marama was perfect for her, and she was excited to spend more time at school with her. She smiled at her girlfriend during the Headmaster's speech. It wasn't very interesting, though she did pause to applaud the top point earners. When the food finally came, she made herself a plate. She hadn't realized she had been starving until the food was in front of her.
 
Vanity grinned as Morrie returned her high five, then watched as June appeared to say some things that she supposed the older girl thought sounded very cool and threatening. She burst out into giggles at Morrie's response, then laughed even louder when Vex joined the booing. "BOOO!" She joined in again gleefully, appreciating that Vex joined in even though she knew he probably just wanted to join the chaos and wasn't picking a side in this. She grinned at Morrie. "Maybe we should send her another letter sometime." She said innocently, wondering if they could get away with some embarrassing howler somehow without getting into more trouble.

Matt had heard vague noises during his speech but he had tried to ignore it. He had hoped it hadn't been what he had first thought it was, which was students booing at one of their fellow student's names being called, but as it kept going it was harder to ignore. Matt frowned as he looked over at the Slytherin table, not entirely surprised to see Miss Mettlestone and Miss Ayre at the center of things again. He groaned slightly when he saw Vex had joined in. Matt hesitated, his fork hovering between his plate and his mouth as he wondered if he should step in now or not. Chances were, it would just make things worse. He was under no illusions when it came to Vex. They hadn't had much interaction, but he somehow doubted the poltergeist would be at all intimidated by him. Matt glanced over at Professor Castillo, hoping that he might try to do something, since these were his students. But Angel either hadn't noticed what was going on or he was pretending very hard not to notice. Matt suspected the latter. He took a bite of his food and looked away from the Slytherin table, hoping very much that this was the worst of it and the rest of the feast would go on normally.

Todd couldn’t concentrate on the speech or the feast. His mind was a jumble of mostly Penny shaped thoughts. He kept stealing glances towards the Hufflepuff table from the Ravenclaw table, his heart heavy with questions he couldn’t bring himself to ask. Could he make her happy? Was there a future for them after Hogwarts? He desperately hoped so, but they hadn’t spoken about it, and the uncertainty made life after Hogwarts that bit more scary.

He was pulled from his thoughts when Emery, true to form, stubbornly refused to pass Conan a bun. Todd sighed, “Oh, ignore him,” he said to Conan with a roll of his eyes. Todd reached across the table and passed the buns himself, giving his soon to be ex-roommate a pointed look before turning his attention back to his own problems.

He'd be a seventh year before he knew it and he wasn't sure how to deal with that. Obviously he was excited, but he was scared to, how could he not be? Come September, he was going to be busier than he had been last year and he had all those classes to worry about - and as much as he wouldn't admit it to Kael, he was worried about it. Because he always worried about it. How was he supposed to do what he wanted to do if he didn't even know what he wanted to do anyway, actually. Maybe Kael had the right idea, not that he wanted to admit that to him. Admitting anything to Kael was like giving up. Maybe people didn't see their relationships as a win or a lose, but that was people who didn't understand how relationships worked - because you can't both win and he refused to lose. He watched the feast, noticing the poltergeist getting involved from a group of boos he thought he could hear. Looking over, he wasn't surprised to see who was involved - those girls who'd picked on Eury, which meant he automatically disagreed with them in favour of whoever they were booing. He also wasn't surprised to see no one doing anything about it, because honestly, that was just this school. The professors were useless and they didn't know how to handle bullies, he only had to look at how nothing had been done about these two girls, twice. He shook his head, this entire school sucked. Why'd he been forced to come here? He turned to Anisha. "Is it like a habit for the professors to not give a sh!t about the students bullying other students, because I gotta say this isn't the first time I've seen them literally ignore something like this." @Anisha Khatri ​
 
Lucy's year...had been mixed. She still wasn't sure what to make of it, after everything that was going on at home, how that had affected her at school, and now she was on the verge of her OWL year. It was actually kind of terrifying, if she had to be honest. Lucy was glad at least that exams were over and dealt with - they had never really been her favourite part of the whole education process. A necessary evil, if anything. She was proud Teddy had gotten to be a top point earner, and wanted to congratulate him but the distance between their tables meant she couldn't quite say it without shouting. Lucy didn't really want to draw that much attention to herself. Instead, she contented herself with grabbing some potatoes once the feast appeared before her. Her eyes drifted for a moment to the Slytherin table - but not because of any of the booing. Lucy noticed herself looking for someone in particular, then ducked her head. A warm, uncomfortable but not unpleasant feeling seemed to overwhelm her for a moment, but she turned instead to someone next to her. "Got anything going on this break?" she asked politely and with genuine curiosity.
 
Aroha hadn't done that well this year. She was a bit disappointed in her grades, but then again, grades weren't everything. If only she had whatever Teddy had going on - was is hard work, or natural talent, or what? Aroha didn't think too long on it. She waited for the food to appear, hungry as she was. Piling food onto her plate, she turned to Fiona beside her. They hadn't interacted as much as Aroha would have liked this year but Aroha still considered Fiona a friend. "Can't believe another year is over, huh?" Aroha commented idly as she picked up her knife and fork and began to cut up the roast meat on her plate.

Rosalind was a bit bored. She didn't really enjoy the end-of-year festivities. Maybe if Gryffindor won once that would make a difference but it never seemed to be her house. As it was, she had secretly smuggled a book down with her so she could read and eat - a risky venture, but one Rosalind was used to navigating. Once the headmaster had finished his speech, she gathered some less messy food onto her plate and got out her book. It wasn't like she wanted to appear unsocial, but exams had taken her away from her reading time and she was feeling a little bit like she was missing out. So, Rosalind spent the time invested in her book.
 
Audrey was disappointed in Teddy for not beating June.

Oh sure, he'd done much better than she had, but she was fine with that. What did it matter? It was better for her social life not to be called out as a huge nerd and she had plenty of more important things to focus on. That was how she was reasoning it out, anyway. But Teddy should have beaten June. Audrey wanted the girl to get knocked down a peg after the stunt she pulled with Oz. Yeah, her cousin was weird, but at least he wasn't a coward. She was tempted to join in the booing too, but instead just slumped over the table with a yawn.
 
Kanako was bitter. No new friends to speak of, not really, though the speed friend thing hadn't gone that badly. Still, it felt like everyone else had gotten a friend or even a friend group and she was left on her lonesome. It bothered her, irked her - but she couldn't let anyone know it. She even felt left out when a couple of Slytherins began to boo one of the eldest - and then Vex had come along to join in. Maybe Kanako could've joined in too, but she would have looked weird. She had no idea who those people were or why they were booing. Kanako shrugged it off. Whatever. Next year would be her year, and she'd get more friends than her brother even. She chuckled to herself at the fact her brother didn't even get top point earner for Slytherin. How sad. Kyousuke was going to be insufferable once they got home but for now Kanako would relish in the fact that things weren't going to plan, even for him - and even if it did secretly make her feel a little bad to do so. It wasn't like she hated her brother after all, he was just...different. Kanako ignored her feelings and gathered some food - at least this would be the last of the western-style cooking she'd have to eat for a while. Silver linings and all that.
 
The fact Rory was graduating was still pretty crazy and she really didn't know how to think about it. "Do you think there will be anymore Cade's next year? I mean, no one expected you!" She looked over at Esme, sat across from her and handed her one of the plates with something on it she wasn't looking at. "I also can't believe the year went by so fast right? Crazy!" Top points seemed like a strange thing to want, and she really wasn't interested in that. She'd lost too many points this year for that to bother her honestly, but as long as she got her work done and passed her exams, maybe it didn't matter? She had a lot of ideas about what she wanted to do next year, but those would have to remain in her brain for now. @Esme Styx-Cade ​
 
Hazel hadn't minded being in Slytherin too much at first, but over the years she was slowly starting to resent it. Mostly because it kept her away from her best friends, who all shared a dorm together. Hazel was now mature enough to admit to herself that made her jealous, even if she wasnt going to say so to her friends. She watched them at the Ravenclaw table, then sighed and looked at Professor Alcott-Ward as he spoke to them. The top point earners weren't very surprising, but Hazel turned her head and grimaced as she heard Morrie and the mean older girl she hung around boo June. She wasn't a big fan of June herself, but this just seemed unnecessary. This sort of stuff probably never happened over at the Ravenclaw table. She spotted Kyousuke nearby and shot him a smile. "Bit childish, isn't it?" She said quietly, gesturing in the direction of Morrie and the older girl.

Cyrus' second year at Hogwarts had come to an end. It hadn't been the most eventful year, but he had tried a few new things. He had tried out for the Quidditch team, which he was glad he had done even though he hadn't made the team. He had also entered the duelling tournament. Though he hadn't won both his matches, he still felt like he had done well. He had also tried a little harder to make friends, which had gone alright as well. As soon as Headmaster Alcott-Ward stopped talking, Cyrus grabbed some food. He turned to his roommate with a hesitant smile "So, are you going back to the boat on break?" He asked Magne.
