Over the semester, Lysander had spent a lot of time at the Wild Patch, tending to the garden and talking to its new and old members whenever they came by. There always seemed to be someone around to help out with the plots and plants, and with how open and central the gardens were, it always felt busy. People could come and go whenever they wanted, and he loved that about the club compared to some of the others. There was always something to do, and always someone around to do something with. Today though, he'd wanted to do something that involved all of the club members at once, so he'd posted up notices a week prior to let everyone know he was hosting a meeting in the gardens. He had, of course, taken the time to don his usual King of Flowers attire, and had found an old chair in a seemingly unused room that he stole borrowed in order to deck it out in flowers, leaves, vines and a charm here or there to fashion himself a royal throne with. He set it up beneath the shade of the wiggentree, and lounged regally across it while he waited for members to arrive. The area around was dotted with sacks of soil and pots of greenery, as well as an assortment of small jars and globes of glass - empty, for the time being.
Eventually, when the club members had gathered, Lysander slowly rose to his feet, a mock air of importance about him. He clapped his hands for attention. "Greetings, my most loving and loyal of subjects." He grinned, speaking in a terrible, faux-posh voice for dramatic effect. "It is good to see you all here, together, in the Kingdom of Flowers." He swept an arm dramatically to indicate the gardens around them, for those who had not caught on to know that yes, this was the kingdom he was referring to. You just had to imagine real hard. "I, your ever charming and very dashing king, have called you all here today for one purpose!" The boy paced as he talked, swishing his floral cloak with every step he took, pausing only to readjust the crown on his head that had fallen lopsided. "We will be learning how to create our own terrariums, so that no matter how far you roam, you can always keep a part of our beloved wild patch with you. So! Without further ado, let's get started. Everyone can come pick a jar they like, fill it with some stones, moss and soil, and start adding in some of these plants we've grown here. You can keep these in your dorms, or take them home during the holidays, whatever you like. It's like having your own little ecosystem that you can carry around." He'd gotten the idea the last time he'd seen Poppy, and had been briefly reminded of seeing her do the same thing at the lake. It seemed perfect to do here, and a good way to show people how ecosystems worked on a smaller scale. "It's pretty easy, I'm going to be making my own, so if you need any help with putting one together, just ask. Or I have these-" He reached into his pocket to pull out a folded up stack of "wikiHow" pages his dad had printed off on a computer and owled to him, since he'd had a hard time finding a book specifically about it in the library. Not that he'd tried hard to look, mind. "-If you want to learn how to do it on your own. Have fun!"
