Y38 Hufflepuff Practice

She watched the quaffle being thrown in slow motion as it headed towards Jordie’s direction. In this split second Lillith had a flashback to her past life and discovered that she was the founder of chocolate in her past life.

Jordie smiled as Lillith threw him the quaffle again. "Thanks Lils!" He yelled, grabbing the quaffle and starting to circle back.

Tilly's next bludger sailed right past the chasers. It even managed to fly through one of the hoops. She wasn't sure if she was impressed or disappointed.

Jordie kept a careful eye on Tilly as he swung back around. When he was sure about his shot, he threw the quaffle, grinning widely as it soared through the hoops.

Lucas let go of the snitch, glad he'd managed to catch it. He tried looking for it again immediately, but it zoomed away.

Elliot was glad Lucas seemed to take his encouragement to heart, watching him shoot off across the pitch and only belatedly realizing why. He was no where near close enough to catch up, so he hung back, cheering as Lucas snagged the snitch. He hung back to congratulate Lucas, but startled as something zipped past his head. Swatting at it, Elliot glanced down, shaking his head sheepishly as he showed the snitch Lucas had just released back to the other boy, laughing and letting it go again.

René tried to keep up with the other chasers, though he was still a bit spooked any time a bludger shot past, especially when one hit Jordie. He wasn't able to grab the quaffle again until Jordie had managed to score, scooping it up with a grateful nod when Linden threw it back into play.

Connor spotted Lucas and Elliot both making catches, impressed with their skills, but he couldn't get a good angle on a bludger to aim for either of them.

Tilly was suddenly tempted to slug a bludger at Elliot. But since Connor had already hit him once, and she didn’t want to seem like she was out for vengeance, she aimed for @Amy Jewel instead. She cracked a smile as the bludger hit Amy, but she simultaneously hoped the sixth year wasn’t too hurt.

Amy followed Lillith and Jordan around the pitch, pleased at your week they were passing the Quaffle. She saw out of there corner of her eye both Lucas and Elliott catch the snitch, one after the other, which distracted her enough to not see the bludger coming towards her. She pushed through the pain, glad that Tilly was at least getting some good shots in.

Jordie smiled, following along after the others and watching the game.

René wasn't keen on the idea of missing another shot at goal, and with the other chasers behind him he hurriedly passed to @Hunter Robinson.

Letting the snitch zip away and get a proper head start this time, Elliot glanced over when he heard a bludger hit, grimacing on Amy's behalf.

Just some housekeeping for anyone keeping track. We can call a time out if the team takes too many:
Amy x2
Elliot x1
Hunter x1
Jordan x1

Jordie found that he was really enjoying himself, loving the chance to play with the others on the team. He kept steady on his broom, keeping his eyes open to the goings on around them.

Spotting a bludger at a good angle, Connor shot towards it and swung hard, aiming at Lucas. His shot flew wide though, and he watched in dismay as it flew into Lillith instead. "SORRY!"
@Lillith Montgomery

Elliot decided it'd be smart to get a bit further away from the rest of the team, especially their beaters as Connor kept doling out more hits.

René tried to keep an eye on the other chasers, not wanting to give up his and Hunter's chances of trying another shot at goal if they tried to steal the quaffle again.

Jordie was trying to keep up with the others, watching the other chasers and trying to keep an eye on the beaters. His ribs still hurt from where Tilly had hit him with the bludger.

Connor flew after the bludger he had just hit, hoping to get another good shot in. He swung again, and this time the ball shot straight into Lucas. "SORRY!" He called out loudly.
@Lucas Fletcher

Amy flew with the other chasers, but kept an eye out on the other's. The bearers were doing an amazing job, even though they were hitting people.

Connor knew hitting his teammates was his job during practice, that they needed plenty of practice both dodging and taking hits from bludgers, but he didn't relish the task. After hitting Lucas he flew over to the younger boy, poised to protect him for a while.

Tilly did her best not to cheer when Connor hit multiple people. They were her teammates, and she cared about them, but it was the beater's job to slam other players with bludgers. She took a shot of her own. Tilly smacked her next bludger towards Elliot, but hit @Rene Tofilau instead.

Sorry didn't realize Amy had been hit once already, OOPS

Lillith was too focused on the quaffle and had missed a bludger that was headed her way. She got hit by Connor’s bludger in the arm, and it had veered her slightly of course. “I’m good!” She shouted and continued going on.

She quickly zoomed, still wanting to get her hands on the quaffle.

Tilly moved back to defense. She hoped Rene was okay from her last bludger hit. While he was a first year, she expected him to be tough, since he managed to make the team,

Seeing the quaffle get passed to Hunter, Lillith followed him and once she was near enough, “Sorry Hunter! I’mma take this!” Lillith stole the quaffle and made for the hoops, trying to score a goal. The quaffle missed and Lillith frowned slightly. I guess you can’t win everything.
