Open Y34 Club Fair

Lysander beamed when he and Ellie were given permission to take one of the flower crowns, and wasted no time in picking one out for himself. "Auntie Dallas would love these." The boy mentioned to his sister, settling the flowers onto his curls. They were very pretty, and smelled just as nice, but now he wished the stall had a mirror so he could see how they looked on him. "How do I look? Will they last long?" He asked, glancing between the Dervish boy and the nice girl behind the stall. He was hoping to keep it forever, but in his experience, picked flowers tended to die, and he wasn't sure there was a spell to preserve them. "I'm going to sign up. Can we plant some honking daffodils? Those are some of my favourites." He continued to query, already scrawling down his name on the piece of parchment, and adding Ellies on for good measure. When he'd finished, he noticed one of his housemates standing by. "Hey Alec! Come join the Wild Patch with us. I bet you could use your super soaker to help water the garden." He told her, knowing first hand just how much water that gun of hers could hold.

Kauri gave a bright smile as he saw another young boy ((@Scott Baker )) approaching his table, and his smile brightened when the boy asked what the Brotherhood was. "The Brotherhood is a club for boys!" He said cheerfully. "Any boys who want to join are welcome. It's a great way to make friends and get involved, we do all kinds of activities." Kauri beamed, turning his smile to another boy who approached ((@Issac Jacobs )) "Right here!" Kauri said cheerfully, handing the boy a signup sheet.

Issac gives a thankful smile at the older boy ((@Kauri Tipene )) and slowly takes the sign up sheet and signs his name onto the sheet. He puts the sheet back down after signing his name. "Thanks!" He says to the boy before walking away from the 'Brotherhood' stall and walks around the Club Fair.

Approaching the courtyard, Connor almost turned and ran. There were so many people here, and the volume and chaos was terrifying. He would have turned and run entirely, but Eric's voice still echoed in his mind, reminding Connor to be brave. Looking around the signs over the tables, Connor spotted where he was headed and then put his head down, sneaking through the crowd as quietly and sneakily as he could as he made his way to the Wild Patch club. The fewer people he had to talk to, the better. Creeping up to the table, Connor recognised one of the prefects from his house helping people, and shuffled up to the boy quietly. "Could... could I join please?" He stammered, peering up at the flowers on the boy's head. Connor quietly wished he could ask for one of the crowns, but he knew Eric wouldn't be happy if he saw Connor running around like that.

The clubs were always a bit hard for the Hufflepuff to join, given that she was slightly limited to what she could do with no hearing, but one that she had always been eyeing up the wild patch club. Perhaps it would be a comfort to be able to make something and grow some plants, and given how much she already enjoy making things it would be a good addition to have. She saw her brother nearby too, but trying not to get in his way she moved around to the other side of the table, signing up her name on the list without saying anything to anyone. As a finally flourish, she copied the other students and put a flower crown on her head, and hoped they would last longer than just a day or two.

Sophie had to think about the question the Hufflepuff girl asked her. "Not much. They are spread out in the great hall when they come out and people seem to read them." She said after a moment, with a shrug. "That's very nice of you, but I think if people want to read them, they will..." She paused, not wanting to disappoint the girl. "But you can, if you want." Another first year approached and asked if she let first years on the paper. Sophie smiled at her. "We do, do you want to sign up? You don't need to write anything right away, we have plenty of things that you could help with." She said to her. A slightly older girl also asked to join, and Sophie pondered her question for a moment. "Not... anything you want, but I do let members have a certain amount of freedom. But it has to be news, and relevant to the school." She gave the girl a signup sheet in case she wanted to join. Another young girl walked up to the group, but Sophie wasn't sure what she was asking. "I was just saying we cover the events at school in our articles." She told the blonde. "Like, Heta Omega usually does some sort of event, and we write about that. Also things like Halloween or Christmas." She explained. "We have events for the club too, but those tend to be smaller meetings." She added. Sophie had never seen the point in trying to organize something big for such a small club. The party last year was the exception.

It frustrated Emilia a bit that the some of the girls joining the Heta Omega booth seemed to all address Athena instead of her. Didn't she look like the leader type? First an older Slytherin did, though Emilia supposed maybe she knew Athena, and a young Ravenclaw girl did the same. Emilia sighed and waved to Alexis before she addressed @Wendy Bell, a girl she recognized from her dormitory. "Hi Wendy. We don't know what events we'll be doing yet." She said honestly. "You can sign up here." She added, sliding a paper over to her roommate. She then addressed the young girl ((@Hattie Thorne )) who had asked what the club was about, even though she had addressed Athena. "It's a sisterhood, we have events together and spend time with each other at club events. Sometimes we have parties or do other things, and it's always a lot of fun." She said with a smile, though she didn't know if she gave the best description. Then two redheaded girls turned up, and Emilia helped them both sign up as well. She had forgotten how popular Heta Omega was, and it made her position feel all the more daunting.

Last year Kace had joined the Wild Patch Club to be a lot closer to his friend, Elliot and to try something he wouldn't normally get into back in the city. It wasn't a bad experience, he learned how to plant flowers and tend to them. His dad would really be shocked to see Kace doing that sort of stuff, he was shocked to have taken a crack at gardening. Kace might return to the Wild Patch Club if not there were other clubs he could possibly dip his toes in. Kace came around to the club fair to see what else calls to his attention. He ended up at @Kauri Tipene's table after scoping out the courtyard. "Sup, Kauri!" Kace picked up some legos, stacking one after another. Kace listens as Kauri spoke about the club, it wasn't very particular. Kace, dig that, he signed up.

Kauri smiled cheerfully when @Kace Corelli approached, pleased to see the boy signing up. The Brotherhood was growing substantially this year, and he was excited about all the fun they would be able to have at meetings this year. "Hey, feel free to grab some lollies." He added, rattling the bowl on the table slightly. "They're for everyone!" Part of Kauri wished he could have brought some ice cream from work, but it would have melted at the fair in no time.

As @Alistair Lancaster said why he has picked the picture of her failing she nodded hiding a bit of a grin. "I guess it was sort of funny" she said. it had just annoyed her that it had caused her to lose, especially as it was to Diana holland. She took the ties that Alistair had offered her and offered them to some of the students standing nearby. "These are pretty cool" she said. wondering what spell he had used on them.
Willow grinned as @Geovanna Volt congratulated her and explained why she hadn't seen her in a while. "Welcome back. Thank you, it was a bit of a surprise," she said. it felt a little odd to feel like one of the older students now and not one of the younger ones. fifth year was OWL year which meant that she had better start to focus in class and decide what job she wanted. but she had no idea. or rather she had two ideas, quidditch or something that worked with magical creatures.
Willow nodded as @Alec Tricity, the first year's energy as she asked for one of the ties. "sure. you are in gryffindor right?" she said handing her a red and gold tie. she vaguely recognised her from the first day and the house party. and if not her enthusiasm seemed to shout Gryffindordor. She chuckled slightly as the girl asked why they couldn't learn everything in class "There is far too much to learn and some of it would probably be really boring. if they were going to teach us everything there would be no time for fun" she said winking. sure she had been made a prefect. but she was still a Gryffindor and it was part of her psyche to want some fun and adventure from time to time and not be stuck in a classroom.
as another girl @Sophie Elliston approached the table and asked to join she looked at her. she knew she wasnt a first year but she looked so young. had she looked that small a couple of years ago? "Hey you play quidditch for Ravenclaw right? did you want a hex deflecting tie" she said. then realised what it sounded like she was implying. "not that i am saying that you will need it on the quidditch pitch" she said pulling an expression that was halfway between worry and confusion to highlight her mistake.

Kara nodded excitedly. “Yes, I would love to sign up.” She wrote her information down on the sign up sheet. This was something she really enjoyed and hoped she would have enough time for it while at Hogwarts. There were so many people to observe and so many stories lurking the castle halls.

It was another year for Club Fair and Jai could not help but look forward to this one. He had been looking at the same clubs last year and though the Brotherhood was not that bad, he was more curious about the Student Defense Association and so he had decided to join that club as well along with the Brotherhood. After letting loose his sisters in the fair, the Slytherin sighed in relief and walked on over to the SDA group. There was quite the gathering, although a number were from his house, he was sure he had seen them in passing at least. "Mind if I sign up?" he asked the group, not really sure who he was supposed to be talking to.

Artemisa had been looking forward to joining clubs this semester, and the Club Fair was such a big event that it was not hard at all to be excited about it. Most of the big events that she had gone to had been stuffy parties back at the manor and this was definitely a lot more fun. Of course, Roto had been quite forced to deal with her and Feli's exuberance but he didn't truly seemed to mind all that much - he was very much used to it, she was sure. Looking at all the clubs, Artemisa found the brotherhood to be very curious thing. She wondered why it would only be for boys. And since she and Feli seemed to have the same idea, the pair of them bounded over to the Brotherhood of Magic booth and smiled at whoever seemed to be leading the bunch. "Hello! This seems really interesting!" the Gryffindor grinned. Well, to be honest she was very interested in the lollies... And the little sculptures.

Ever since Felicita had heard of the clubs in the school, she had figured that she had wanted to try badgering the Brotherhood to see if they would actually allow a girl to join in. It would be fun to attempt whether she would actually succeed or not to be honest. Although, she really did not expect that Chia would have the same idea as she did - kidding, of course it had been such a large probability. The excitement at the Fair and the lollies offered by the Brotherhood was incentive enough. Well, Heta Omega seemed to be offering cookies but the curiosity with the Brotherhood was weighing more. Especially since Soro was part of the Brotherhood as well - speaking of that, he probably shouldn't have left them to their own devices really. And so, Felicita approached the Brotherhood booth with Artemisa and noted that the Head Boy, @Kauri Tipene, seemed to be part of the club if not the actual president of it. "Yes, it seems like quite the fun club you have here," the Ravenclaw mimicked her twin's grin down to the last line.

It had taken some time to convince her little brother to come to the Clubs Fair; Maddy knew he was still feeling a little overwhelmed by the sheer quantity of people at Hogwarts. She had felt the same way herself when she first got here, but Maddy was bold where Seb was shy, so it would be harder for him. It certainly was crowded in the courtyard today, but she was absolutely determined that Sebastian needed to join the Wild Patch Club. She hadn't bothered, but it was exactly the sort of thing he would love, and William had, so the boys could spend time gardening together or whatever it was they did. Maddy entered the courtyard with Seb's hand in hers, and wove through the crowd to the Wild Patch table. "There you go!" she said cheerfully to him. "Have fun!" Then she disappeared back into the crowd.

Maddy wouldn't have left her brother so abruptly, but he needed to learn to do things by himself, and she had her own agenda for today as well. She was a third year now, finally old enough to duel, and it looked like a lot of fun. She pushed through to the SDA table with a grin growing on her face. "Kia ora! I'd like to sign up, please!"

@Alistair Lancaster

Sebastian knew Maddy was right about this, and he did want to sign up for the Wild Patch Club, but he really, really didn't want to go to the Clubs Fair. He knew that there would be far too many people here - there were far too many people everywhere at Hogwarts, and here they would be gathering, and that was even worse. He kept tight hold of Maddy's hand as she plunged through the crowd, grateful for her guidance and astonished at how well she was navigating all this. It was too much for him, the press of bodies, the constant noise. He just wanted to go back to his dorm and hide. But he was here now, and they'd finally made it to the Wild Patch table. Before Seb could react, Maddy was gone. How could she just desert him like that? Well, he was here now, he just had to do it. He approached the table, and waited for a gap in the conversation. "Um, hi. Could I join the Wild Patch club, please?"

Kauri barely had a moment to breathe before he was being approached again, not entirely surprised to see a pair of girls coming up to his booth. He had hoped the name would explain what the club was for, but he had handed lollies out to girls at the fair before, and he didn't mind doing it again. "Hey guys!" He said cheerfully, holding the bowl out for them. "You guys can help yourselves to lollies, but this is a club for boys. Our sister club, Heta Omega, is over there." He said with a smile, gesturing to the nearby Heta Omega booth. "I'm sure Emilia and Athena would be happy to help you out."

Poppy looked back at the paper in her hand and scanned some of the headlines. Students wrote this, how exciting! Much to her surprise more students had come to check out the booth. She had been so wrapped up looking at the paper she hardly notice them all arrive. She smiled at the girl who was running the table. "Well I'm not sure what I'd write about but I'd love to sign up!" She said and signed her name on the list. "Can I take one of these?" she asked shyly.

The sisterhood seemed to be busy this year. She didn’t remember having this many new members last year, though she hadn’t been the one to sort out who signed up and therefore didn’t have a look at the member list. Still, she was pretty happy with how many girls seemed interested in joining. That meant that October had done a good job as president the previous year. She smiled at an older fellow slytherin who approached them and asked them to sign up. "Even if it’s just for the year, it’s worth it," she said, handing Nora the sign up sheet. "Have a cookie and a bracelet." When another member approached, Athena gave her a quick smile, but didn’t have the chance to say anything as someone else asked what Heta Omega was about. "We also help each other out if we need it and treat each other like sisters, she added, hoping between hers and Emilia’s explanation the girl would find it intriguing enough to join. They hadn’t actually planned many events yet, but they’d probably change that.

Marco had come to a decision. That decision was socialising and branching out more. It was his fourth year and after a couple of encounters with friendly people he decided to sign up for at least one club. He walked around, looking at th stalls, semi-interested, until he found one that would be potentially interesting. He went over to the brotherhood one, not hesitating. "Hi! I’d like to sign up!"

@Kauri Tipene

Ilija was pretty happy that the two younger students were excited about signing up for the wild patch, and with a small smile at Alice, he turned to see if there was anything else he could help with. He was going to be part of two clubs this year which was more than he was used to but he was looking forward to it. He waved towards Marco at the brotherhood table, hoping his dorm mate was going to join them there too. It was fun being involved with people and even if Ilija was shy, he was going to try and make more of an effort this year.

Add was admiring the boys crowns when Sandy asked if she was signing up too. “What is this? Flower club?” The brunette didn’t know what kind of magic a club with just flowers in it would do. Would that even be fun? Then again it would be hard to pass up an opportunity to use her super soaker. “Maybe this time I won’t miss,” Alec nudged her friend playfully, knowing full well if she brought that with her, then no one in the club would be leaving with dry clothing. The Gryffindor looked across from her friend to the girl standing beside him, “Oi, is that your sister?” She asked, recalling that there had been at least two summers sorted at the ceremony, and nodding her head towards the blonde, wondered when he was going to give them a proper introduction.

After a talk with her other distant relatives about the school, Tina found out that there will be a club fair. A good thing for her to make friends and gather gossips around. Looking around once she got outside the courtyard, nothing interest her except the school paper and a girl's club called Heta Omega. She could write something for the paper that will make the readers more intrigue and she's perfect for Heta because what's good about girls? Gossips and shopping.

But first, she wanted to sign up for the school paper. Tina head down to the Hogwarts Monthly booth and with a big smile greeted the older student behind the booth.
"Hi! I'm very interested to join the paper. I think it would be fun to make the readers interested on what we have to write about." Tina explained her reason of joining. She's one that will make everything go around her little fingers. @Sophie Wilson

Kauri's attention was pulled away from the two girls in front of him by another older boy, and he gave a cheerful smile in welcome. "Sure thing, just sign on this form here!" He said cheerfully, sliding the boy a signup sheet.

@Marco Mariani

Marco grinned as the older boy who he presumed was the president of the club gave him the sign up sheet and the hufflepuff eagerly took it, quickly scribbling his name and thanking the pres. before seeing what else there was. Before he did that though, he waved back to Ilija, hoping the boy was part of the brotherhood too. It would be nice to have a friend there already. He walked around until he saw another club that piqued his interest. "Hey," he greeted casually. "So, what exactly do you do in this club?" There were flower crowns, but Marco needed to be sure before he signed up for anything out of the ordinary or that ended up not being as fun as he had originally thought.
