Open Y34 Club Fair

Athena nodded at the girl, pleased by her enthusiasm. They probably needed someone like her in the club, someone with that much energy. Just, maybe at small dosages. "Here, just put your name and year on this sheet," she pointed towards the clipboard. "Yeah, they have the brotherhood, which is actually that one over there with the lego pieces." As she said this she furrowed her eyebrows, wondering what on earth the head boy had in mind with those. She shook it off, not missing the quiet girl who approached the stall but also had the audacity to steal a bracelet. Athena narrowed her eyes but didn’t say anything because she was, after all, trying to convince other girls to join, not chase them away. Maybe she would track down the girl later. Or, hopefully, she was going to join and hadn’t just appeared for the bracelet. She figured Emilia had put a lot of effort into those. "Hi," she said as the next girl reached them, this one being a year or so younger than Athena. "Would you like to join?"

Taerin was smiling at one of the Heta presidents, and even more so when she was offered to join the club. "Please," she said, waiting for the excitable girl to be finished with the pen before taking it for herself. She wasn't bothered about all the other things they seemed to have on offer to entice some of the younger children, being part of the group would be enough for the pure blood. "I look forward to it," she added with a pleasant smile, before once more, sliding out and into the crowd to mingle with the others. It would certainly be a different take on the school and she hoped she'd be able to learn from it.

Isla could feel the glares in her direction, but she bounced them off and pretend they just didn't exist. It was easier that way and she'd be able to keep the bracelet if no one said anything. Following suite after one a blonde, the Hufflepuff stepped forward to sign up her name on the sheet for Heta Omega, risking a glance to the girl who'd caught her, almost willing her to reveal what she knew. The third year knew she was pushing her luck though, so quickly and quietly she retreated from the group, and went back to the crowd to see where Elio had got to.

Alec's handwriting was messy but she didn't care. As long as they could see who was at the top of the list then she was happy. "Lego? Are you serious! Why don't we have that too?" she asked, Lego was one of her favourite things and it shouldn't have been for the boys only. If she had any brothers or sisters then she would have no doubt played it with them too. "Can you buy Lego in Brighstone?" she asked her, knowing what was going to be on her birthday list this year.

Emilia smiled at the sight of cookies. "They're a brilliant idea too." She said with a nod. She blushed at the older girl's praise, but was glad to get it. She let Athena explain the club to the young girls gathering around, and held out her basket with bracelets. "Take one if you sign up." She said with a smile. She noticed one girl grabbed one without immediately moving to sign up, but before she could say anything another girl spoke to her and asked her if she had made them. Emilia smiled hesitantly. "Yes, I did." She said. She was relieved when the girl who had taken a bracelet also signed up for the club. A girl from her own year signed up as well. Emilia had never realized just how busy this booth would get at the club fair.

Norton didn’t feel late but by the time he reached the great hall he felt like he was just a little bit late. So many people were already in the room, so many tables had already been set up. It was just a but wild to him how many people were already there. Norton ignored it, racing to his own table and quickly taking the crowns and placing them down upon the table. He got some pictures and information out about the events that they had run in the last year and then just let himself look at his work. The wild patch was a very flexible club, it was not just one thing. They did lots of things, things which were not maybe what people first thought, but he was thinking about starting an event in this semester, not unlike the one he’d done with rose the year before. Norton took a moment to wave to Kauri and give the very busy brotherhood president and head boy encouragement with some excited thumbs up even if he didn’t need it. ”Wild Patch Club!” he called out with a flower crown in hand and an excited grin on his face.

Eric pulled a face at Sydney. "What do you know. I can cast spells better than you can, know it all." He snapped at her. "You can't just read about things to know how to do them." He rolled his eyes. He smirked when another girl came to tell Sydney she was wrong about things. That was pretty fun. But then she talked down to him and patted his shoulder, and his smirk disappeared. "I can use SPELLS." He said indignantly. Did he really look like he could only fight with his fists? He could duel. He was sure of it.

Alice always thought the club fair was pretty wonderful, so even though she wasn't actually planning to go to any new clubs, she headed to the courtyard to see if she could help out. Rose would no longer be running the Wild Patch Club, but she figured maybe her help would still be appreciated. She headed over to Norton. "Hi, can I help out in any way?" She asked him with a smile. She glanced around, happy to see so many people find clubs they wanted to join. It was a nice event.

Tres had half expected the older girl to tell her she'd bought them, so she was surprised when she said she'd actually made them instead. "That's amazing!" she grinned, carefully taking one from the top to admire it. "Can I keep this?" she asked, sliding it onto her wrist for size. Tres yelped a little when she heard the younger brunette yell something about Lego. Lego was one of her favourite things too, she had a whole box at home because it was the only thing that momma didn't mind her borrowing. She didn't like to admit it but she'd even some times thrown Lego around her room to stop her horrible brother from coming into her room and picking on her too.

Athena couldn’t be happier that they had at least two, hopefully three, more members, she was about to offer the older younger girl a cookie however she signed up and left just like that. She shrugged and offered one to the excitable first year, holding out the plate so she would take one. "Oh, it’s okay," she tried to reassure the girl who had stolen a bracelet, but she signed up and was out of there in no time too. She glanced at Emilia but shrugged. At least she signed up. "Well...I’m not sure, actually, I’ve never looked for lego in Brightstone. They must have something though, right?" she figured they must have a magical version of some sorts. She’d have to bring this up with her fellow co-pres and Kauri but perhaps they could have a joint event or something.

"I really hope they do. Or maybe we could just take the boys Lego when they're not looking?" Alec suggested jokingly but in all seriousness. She would have loved to build something one day that she could actually sit inside of. Hoping that they would consider her idea, she thanked the presidents and headed off to see what else she could sign up for. She wanted to do absolutely everything she thought that would be fun. Over hearing one boy yell something about spells caught the first years interest, and coming up the the older boys side, she peered at the table in front of them. "Can first year's do spells too?" she asked, hopeful.

While on to his way to the Brotherhood table, he spotted Alice in the corner of his eye. With a burst of courage sweeping through his limbs, the fourth year found himself walking away from the Brotherhood and taking the opportunity while it was there, coming up the side of the Hufflepuff before his legs would stop him. "Yeah.. me too. Can I help?" he asked the student nervously, before giving a sideways glance to Alice and a small smile, hoping she wasn't about to think him creepy for jumping at the chance to put himself out there for a change.

Agnes had ignored the younger boys comment, moving on to another table that was full of girls instead. "Hey, this is like some kind of.. sorority.. yeah?" she asked hesitantly, looking between everyone there, unsure of who exactly could tell her with the most simple explanation. Agnes felt like she could do with more female friends, especially after the grief trying to making friends with Tyler had been, if she could even call it that. She'd been avoiding the boy ever since she'd seen him in Brightstone, and wasn't looking forward to seeing him in class. A few girls on her side wouldn't have gone amiss.

Vader was not particularly prepared for this event, he’d put posters up but he wasn’t sure that would be enough. The teen had been a little stressed about this event, but he hoped that the people who’d join would work well within his team, he knew that he would need a good team just to be able to do the yearbook, since it was vital that they work together. The boy also knew that comparatively with other clubs he turned a lot more people down. Since they only had a limited amount of spots. Vader took out the last few years yearbooks, placing the latest one open at the top. He was pretty proud of it and the team, so many sleepless nights had truly paid off and allowed him to complete a good full yearbook. The Gryffindor put a few other things, some pictures and some mock pages and then waited. He was less nervous than the year before, he done this before, he’d made a whole yearbook in the time between then and now, he could do this. This would be easy - hopefully.

With just one year left at Hogwarts, Geo most definitely did not want to overburden herself in clubs as she had once done. Coming to the fair that she'd been doing almost every year since she was eleven, she remembered the days when James Cade refused to let her join the Brotherhood, despite her reservations that it was unfair. There was one club though that she still found important. All students should have been able to defend themselves and as a hopeful Auror, Geo wanted to give as much advice as she could to the younger years. "Hey Alistair," she smiled at her classmate. They'd only spoken briefly, but she was pleased he was now running the club in her place. "Mind if I join?" she asked, not wanting to get in the way of the others conversation.

To say that Juno was having a bumpy start to the year was generous. She'd been agitated and disappointed with things so far, and while she was trying to keep her spirits up, she was feeling more overwhelmed than when she'd been at three different primary schools in one year. She'd only gone to the Club Fair because she'd told someone she would, but the number of people that seemed to already be there when she showed up was astounding. Opting instead to go to one of the quieter stands, she hoped she wasn't going to be drowned out like the rest of her Hogwarts experience. "Do you take lots of pictures?" she asked the boy, admiring the artwork that decorated his stall.

Nora entered the Great Hall with a sigh. It was her last year to do some fun. School clubs are usually the type of fun that let's you be you. The dark haired Slytherin scanned the available clubs; there were for boys, then girls and then the SDA club. Nora though for a second about that club, she did a couple of dueling tournaments before, none were won but again it was fun. Joining a club was also for her to not get bored while waiting a chance to see Spencer again.

"Hey, Alistair." She greeted her housemate while getting between the two younger students bickering. "I guess your hands will be full this year." Nora could hear what was said but she ignored it. It was mainly youngsters fighting who was the best. "I'm just here to sign up and I'll be on my way." The Slytherin smiled at Alistair and grab the sign sheet, is he really going to let first years in? Would be best to teach them.

((I WAS ASLEEP FOR SIX HOURS))

Kauri had barely set up when the first students began arriving, and he greeted the first boy ((@Lysander Summers )) to approach his stand with a smile. "Well, there's a Brotherhood in X-Men, but we're a different kind of Brotherhood. It's a club for boys to support each other and make friends." He said cheerfully. "We do tons of fun activities, and it's a great club to be in! If you're interested just put your name on this form!" Kauri smiled, offering the boy one of his signup forms. As he did so, another boy ((@Wendall Layton )) approached, and Kauri gave the boy a warm smile. "Just sign your name right here!" He said happily, holding out a signup sheet for him as well. He was surprised to see an older boy ((@Elio Zephyr )) approaching, as it was mainly first and second years who frequented the club fair, but Kauri gave him a bright smile as well. "Sure thing, all boys allowed!" He said happily, handing him a signup sheet once one of the younger boys was done with it. He saw another older boy ((@Ilija Olaf )) hovering nearby, and gave him a reassuring smile. "Are you interested in the Brotherhood?" Kauri asked gently.

This year, Clifton was going to be daring. He had made that decision, and he was going to stick with it. The last couple of years at Hogwarts had gone much better than he had expected; not a soul had picked on him, and Clifton was done living in the fear that had plagued him in England. He was going to step out of his comfort zone and make some friends, and the best way to do that seemed to be joining a club. Clifton had been disappointed upon arriving at Hogwarts that there didn't seem to be an orchestra to speak of, but maybe he would find something at the fair of interest. Looking around the tables, one covered in photos caught his eye, and Clifton approached the booth curiously. "Which... club is this?" He asked, trying not to let his nerves show in his voice.

Amy was looking forward to the club fair for this year. She wasn't too keen on signing up for another club, but wanted to see how the Heta Omega girls were going. She loved the idea of meeting new people through the club, and wanted to see if anyone new had signed up. She made her way to where the new presidents had set up and waved."Hi, congrats on being co-presidents." She only knew one of the girls, Emilia ((@Emilia Manning)), as they had been sisters the year before. Still, Amy didn't really know her that well, but knew that co-president was an important role."Do you need any help?" she asked. She wanted to be useful and not just hang around watching.

Daniel wasn't really sure what the club fair was about, so he was pleasantly surprised when he made his way down. He'd spoken to his close friend, Kara, about what clubs there were, but he wasn't sure if he'd sign up for any. That was until, he saw the lego on one of the tables. He practically ran towards it and said to the older boy ((@Kauri Tipene)),"That lego is soooo cool! Where'd you get it from?" Maybe it was a lego club. He'd totally join if it was. He was a little confused about how lego had anything to do with magic, but it was too cool to worry about that.

Jacinta was a little confused about the club fair, but maybe there was something good about it. She decided to check it out. May as well. At least that way, you could join a club, and not be sitting around the castle. Still, she tried to stay clear of as many students as possible. She didn't feel like talking to people. Nothing really caught her eye, until she saw a table with flower crowns on it. She walked over and said,"Did you make the flower crowns? They're really good." She had a look at the other things on the table. It seemed interesting, and Jacinta knew it would get her out of her study slumps."Can I join?" she asked.

@Norton Gillespie

Kauri beamed when another boy approached the booth, pleased at how much attention the Brotherhood was getting. "They're awesome, right!" He agreed happily. "Professor Pendleton brought the lego in for us, these are some of the cool things guys in the club made at one of our meetings last year." Kauri beamed. "Are you interested in joining the brotherhood?"

((@Daniel Remdond ))

"That's super cool!" Daniel listened to the older boy talking about the lego. When asked if he was interested in joining the brotherhood, he didn't even hesitate."Sure! Anything that's had lego must be cool!" He thought that joining a club would be good and keep him entertained outside of school stuff.

((@Kauri Tipene))

It was student club day. It wasnt like willow planned on signing up for any clubs. she had been at the school four years now and was already a member of the clubs that she wanted to be. that was the quidditch team and the student defence club. but she liked going down to see what was going on. Also as the was a prefect now she felt like she should go and take part. She reached the great hall and saw that it was already busy with students. a lot more older students than there had been the previous year. She made her way over to the SDA table and was a little surprised that there was a vase of flowers on it. maybe the wild atch club had decided to advertise by giving the other tables flowers. she looked at the other decorations on the table. one a selection of pictures from last years duels. "Hey Alister. do you need a hand at all" she greeted the leader (@Alistair Lancaster) . "did you really have to use the picture of me trying to use potatoes as a shield" she said shuffling a couple of the pictures around so that the offending one of her was more towards the back. she would have rather the one with her arm dripping in blood than her embarrassing loss but she guessed that would put people off. one of the older students (@Geovanna Volt) caught her attention. she had spoken to her years ago, she had seemed nice but she hadn't seen her in ages. "Hey, you're the girl calmed me down after the article on werewolf hunters was in the paper a couple of years ago. I haven't seen you around in ages, I thought you had graduated already" she said.
Looking at the first years surrounding the table and overheard one of them (@Alec Tricity) asking about casting spells. "you will learn some spells soon enough. and the club will be a good lace you can practice and get help from older students" she said. not sure if Alistair had planned on teaching them new spells or giving them the chance to practice.
